"It's time," Alice said as the Volturi approached. There was a hell of a lot of them...Alice wasn't kidding when she said everyone was coming. There had to be at least 56 of them.

"We're outnumbered by a lot!" I whispered so only our witnesses and the rest of the Cullens could hear.

"Not really, they don't count their witnesses," Alice replied, just as quiet.

"Oh, okay!" I replied, suddenly more confident. That's when Carlisle spoke.

"Aro, let us discuss things as we used to, in a civilized manner," Carlisle voiced.

"Fair words, Carlisle. But a little out of place given the battalion you've assembled against us," Aro replied.

"I can promise you, that was never my intent. No laws have been broken,"

"We see the children, do not treat us as fools," Caius interrupted.

"They are not immortals! These witnesses can attest to that. You can look. See the flush of human blood in their cheeks,"

"Artifice!" Caius yelled accusingly, of course, Caius didn't believe us, how could he?

"I will collect every facet of the truth, but from someone more central to the story. Jasper, as the children cling to your mate, I assume you are involved," Aro intervened before Caius could pounce. That's when C.J started using his power on Aro.

"Half mortal, half immortal. Conceived and carried by this vampiress, when she was only a few years old as a vampiress," Aro announced to his "witnesses."

"Impossible!" Caius yelled, still not buying our story.

"Do you think they fooled me, brother?" Aro asked with slight accusation.

"Bring the witness forward!" Caius order as Irina stepped to the front of the formation. "Are these the children you saw?" He finished.

"I... don't know," Irina said, flabbergasted. Caius glared at her and she quickly continued speaking. "They've changed! The children are bigger,"

"Then your allegations were false," Caius concluded.

"The Cullens are innocent. I take full responsibility for my mistake," Irina looked at her family, the Denali's.

"I'm sorry," She mouthed to them.

"Caius, no!" Jasper yelled when he saw Caius ordering Felix to kill Irina. Felix hit Irina and then tore her head off. Kate and Tanya charged for them but were quickly stopped by Garrett and Emmett, I approached Tanya.

"Tanya, don't. This is what they want, if you attack now, we'll all die," I whispered.

"Aro, you see there's no law broken here," Carlisle quickly stated before Tanya and Kate could do anything drastic.

"Agreed. But does it then follow that there is no danger?" Aro started. Aro faced his army and then continued to speak. "For the first time in our history, humans pose a threat to our kind. Their modern technology has given birth to weapons that could destroy us. Maintaining our secret has never been more imperative. In such perilous times, only the known is safe. Only the known is tolerable, and we know nothing of what these children will become. Can we live with such uncertainty? Spare ourselves a fight today, only to die tomorrow," Suddenly, Alice stepped forward.

"I have evidence the children won't be a risk to our kind. Let me show you," Alice said.

"Brother," Caius murmured. As Aro read her thoughts, Alice realized something. Aro will never change his mind...

"It doesn't matter what I show you. Even when you see, you still won't change your decision," She stated. And then it all happened, so fast, I barely had time to process it, Carlisle lunged for Aro and they quite literally flew through the sky. When Aro came down, we didn't expect what we saw...
