Underneath a mountain of rubble, concrete and cement, the group of young heroes huddle together as they use their respective quirks to keep everything from collapsing. It's pitch black, so Todoroki makes flames on his hand to light up the space. Uraraka is using her Float quirk to keep a steel support beam from falling on top of them. Kirashima has hardened into his Unbreakable form and is straining to hold back a ramp section that had nearly crushed the downed Todoroki and Iida. Bakugo, Deku, Mina and Momo brace against a wall, while Tsu checks on Danny.
"Hey Icy-Hot," says Bakugo through gritted teeth. "Give us some structure support!" Todoroki gets his meaning and raises his right hand, shooting ice at strategic areas to keep everything from falling further. Uraraka and Kirashima release their quirks, exhausted from the ordeal. "It won't hold long, but we should be safe for now." "Can you light this please?" Momo brings over a wax candle she created. Todoroki lights it then turns off his flame. Bakugo steps away from the wall, groaning slightly. "Kacchan!" A worried Deku goes to him. "Are you alright?" "I'm fine, Deku!" He snaps. "Go check on Fenton. He still conscious?"
"Danny took some damage putting up the shield," says Tsu. "Safe to say we'd probably be dead if he didn't give us a chance for you guys to use your quirks." Danny wipes the blood from his nose. "I'm ok, Tsu. I just need a second." He stands up, a bit wobbly. Deku gives him support. "Plasmius used some anti-ghost tech to take my powers earlier. They're back now, but I'm definitely not at 100%." He looks around, surveying the area. "Where's our tech? More importantly, where's the Gauntlets?"
"Somewhere under all that," says Momo, pointing at a wall of rubble. "I could use my acid to get through this rubble," suggests Mina. "It's a good thought," says Deku. "But your acid might eat through the Gauntlets too." "Let me try something." Danny goes intangible and leaps into the rubble, returning a moment later with one of the Gauntlets. "Only found this one, and it's damaged. Can't risk using it or it might set those Nomu free. The other one might be-" Danny's cut off as a voice playfully breaks through.
"Oh Danny Boy" calls Plasmius. "I know my little display of power didn't kill you. Why not come out from there and we can get this over with? Or should I come in and take care of your new friends first?" Uraraka goes pale and Bakugo clenches his fists. It was only a moment ago, but the Wail has left more than a few of them shell shocked. "I'm going," says Danny.
"What!? You can't fight him like this!" Kirashima looks worried. "That guy's way too strong, he'll kill you!" "Maybe," says Danny grimly. "But I can buy you guys enough time to find the other Gauntlet. We have to stop Plasmius, no matter what."
"No way in hell are you fighting that bastard alone," Bakugo takes another step, but nearly doubles over from a sharp pain in his foot. This doesn't escape Iida's gaze. "Bakugo, let me take a look," he says, concerned. "Damn it, nerd, I said I'm fine!" "No, your not!" Iida sternly retorts. "I know that stance anywhere, my brother had it for a while. If you haven't broken your ankle, you've definitely sprained it. You can't fight if you can't even stand up!" Bakugo looks away angrily. He knows Iida's right, even if he won't acknowledge it.
"I'll go with you," says a voice. They turn to see Deku walking over. He looks at Momo. "Yaoyorozu, can you make Kacchan a splint?" "Yes, of course!" She hurries over and starts creating the supplies she needs. Deku looks back at Danny. "He's right, you'll have a better chance if someone's there fighting with you." "The rest of us can look for the Gauntlet." Says Uraraka. "We'll make our way as soon as we can."
Danny is hesitant, but he sees the determined look on the young hero's face. "Alright then. I'm gonna turn us intangible. You might wanna brace yourself, it could feel a bit weird." He puts a hand out.
"Deku!" Bakugo calls over, making the young hero turn to look back at his rival. "He's got the same powers as Fenton. Fight him like I would." Deku stares a moment, and nods. "Leave it to me." With that, Danny puts a hand on Deku's shoulder and the two go intangible. "Time for round 2," he says, and they fly though the rubble toward the inevitable fight.
