Title: Miracles From Heaven

Chapter 10

(Everyone in Josslyn's life was worried about her in the days and weeks after Oscar's funeral. She had played her part of the heartbroken and devastated girlfriend over the death of the love of her life to the letter. None of them knew where she disappeared to when she got away from them. She had skills that came from growing up around the people that she loved and who loved her, too)

(On the outskirts of Port Charles, Josslyn went into a house that was in the middle of nowhere. She was relieved to have her driver's license as her mom was a bit apprehensive on it. Considering Josslyn was barely 16 years old, Josslyn felt it was time. Besides, she needed it to get to her secret destination. Carly saw nothing wrong with Max or Milo driving her where she needed to go. In the end, Carly relented and saw Josslyn was old enough to complete her tasks on her own…for the most part)

(Josslyn and Oscar had found the house when they first started dating. Being it was abandoned, they dreamt about the day they could buy it and fix it up for them when the teens got older. When things were at their worst regarding Oscar's illness, Josslyn had bought the house out of her private account that no one knew about. Then she poured more into getting it fixed up as quickly as possible, knowing it was more important than ever before)

(A female's voice came towards Josslyn, making the young woman turn to see the older woman)

Nurse Wade: "Miss Jacks."

Josslyn: "Nurse Wade, how is he doing?"

(Josslyn attempted to stay positive for her soul-mate's sake)

Nurse Wade: "As well as can be expected. His normal doctor, Hamilton Finn, was here earlier this morning. Dr. Scorpio Drake's plane is to land on time in a few hours." (updating the young woman)

Josslyn: (sighs) "Thank you. I'm going to go up and sit with him for a while."

(Josslyn hoped that Robin could help her. She was praying with all her heart on that)

Nurse Wade: "I'll fix you something to eat in the meantime, Miss Jacks. You must be hungry."

Josslyn: (smiles appreciatively) "Thank you. I appreciate it."

(Nurse Wade headed into the kitchen)

(Slowly, Josslyn made her way up the stairs, going into the first bedroom on the left. There he laid in the bed with tubes and wires all around him like some nightmare. It was so hard to see him like this in that bed, but she was fighting for a future with them together. She made sure he was comfortable as he could possibly be and warm under the few sheets of blankets)

Josslyn: "I'm here, Oscar. Everyone is watching my every move, so it's a lot harder to get out here to see you. They wouldn't understand why I'm doing this. I hope and pray that you understand someday, if you make it through."

(Josslyn almost whispered the last sentence out of her mouth as she closed the distance between her and the bed. She looked at her best friend and the love of her life)

(Like always, Josslyn gently kissed him on the cheek before sitting down next to him on the bed. With great care, Josslyn picked up his hand and rested it in hers. She wanted nothing more than for him to come back to her. Life just seemed like all the light had been sucked out of it because she needed him to be there to balance her out like no one else could. Oscar was her heart and soul. She would compare it to what her mom had with Jason and Sonny, but in one body. It was like someone had gifted her with the most amazing gift ever. There was no way she was going to let that slip through her fingers if she had anything to say about it. As long as there was any kind of chance, Josslyn was going to do whatever she had to do to bring him back to her)
