Relaxing on the back of a humpback whale, Melodious was studying his map, but was having some trouble understanding it. There were all these strange landmarks and he didn't know which way to go where.

Below them, the whale swam past some seaweed that tickled his nose, making him sneeze. His blow hole blew Melodious into the sky! Luckily, he landed on an ice slide and slid down, but his map didn't have any such luck as it broke into pieces.

"My map! It's ruined! Now how am I gonna get to Atlantica?" he cried.

"HELP! Someone please!" someone else cried.

Melodious looked over to see a mama penguin holding a ladder of penguins to her chick, who was trapped on some floating ice being circled by a shark. The ladder was too short though! They needed another penguin to help them.

Suddenly, humming could be heard near by from a little penguin and a walrus.

"Mightier than a hurricane! Braver than a killer whale! Faster than a moray eel!" the penguin chanted, "It's the fearless adventurers-"

"Slash explorers," the walrus added.

"Titanic Tif and her trusty sidekick, Dash!"

Oh no! Not them!" the other penguins groaned. These two always caused trouble for them whenever they wanted to "help".

"This is it, Dash. Redemption," Tif the penguin said to her friend, Dash the walrus and began to climb down the ladder.

"No, not the walrus!" a penguin begged.

This was their chance to be heroes! No one would laugh at them any more. Now if only that were true because the moment they saw that shark, they started climbing back up the ladder screaming, then back down. This caused all the penguins to lose their grip on each other, falling onto the floating ice, and somehow be launched back onto the snow. Her baby may have been safe, but Mama Penguin was not happy over the fact these "fearless heroes" abandoned her baby and almost got everyone killed. Everyone started laughing and pointing as they walked away.

"Go ahead! Laugh your stinkin' tuxedos off!" Tif yelled, "We'll show you...someday."

Melodious knew what it was like to be thought of as an outcast. Maybe they could help him, then they would become heroes!

"Excuse me," he said, making them jump, "You don't have to be scared of me. I won't hurt you."

"Scared? Who said anything about bein' scared? Don't you know an evasive maneuver when you see one?" Tif said, acting brave.

"Hi," he greeted, "I'm Melodious."

"This here's Tif, and I'm Dash," the walrus called Dash greeted back.

"Excuse me, Miss I Spill My Guts To Total Strangers. You just blew my cover!" Tif yelled.

"I was just trying to be friendly," Dash said.

"Uhm girls, I really need to go," Melodious said, but they started arguing again. All he needed was directions!

He called out to them again and asked for directions to Atlantica while explaining if he didn't get there, he would turn back into a human.

Tif was reluctant to help him since she didn't like humans, but after Dash convinced her this was their chance to become heroes, she was in!

It was all for three and three for all as Melodious, Titanic Tif and Daring Dash swam through the ocean until they found it. Melodious couldn't believe it! Atlantica was real!

Not too far away, Aaron was looking around until he spotted a familiar cave. He swam in to what use to be his old treasure trove where he kept all of his human treasures. Most of it was destroyed from his mother, but some of it still survived, like a pipe or "snarfblat" as Scarlette called it.

If only for one moment, he had told Melodious the truth. Aaron could have shared with him everything he knew and the sea wouldn't be a mystery.

"I will find you, my son. And the moment that I do, I'll hold you close and sing the song of the sea with you," he said.

Aaron would tell him stories, show him his collection, and reintroduce him to his 6 uncles and grandmother. He had so much to make up for. He'd even let everyone tell embarrassing stories of when he was Melodious' age to him.

Sighing, he put the "snarfblat" down and resumed his search again.

After awhile, Sabrina, Queen Tritana, and Aaron met up to report finding Melodious, but so far, nothing. The thing was though, Aaron wasn't just searching for his son. He was searching for someone else.

"Have you heard anything, Mom?" Aaron asked, "I-I've been searching everywhere, but I can't find...Flounder!"

He looked over and saw a yellow and blue fish who looked exactly like his childhood best friend. He swam up and hugged the little fish close when she suddenly swam away crying "Mommy!"

"Now what?" asked a grumpy voice. The voice belonged to a bigger version of the little fish.

Whoops! In Aaron's defense, that fish did look like Flounder.

"Sorry," he apologized.

The big fish looked up and couldn't believe her eyes when she saw the redheaded merman.

"Aaron?"

"Flounder?"

"Aaron!"

Flounder swam up to him and hugged each other close. Queen Tritana and Sabrina smiled at the happy reunion between friends. They hadn't seen each other in 12 years and missed each other so much.

"Oh I've missed you!" Aaron said. He let go to see Flounder wasn't so little anymore. "Boy, you're sure not a guppy anymore."

"You can say that again," Flounder laughed. When Aaron was still living in Atlantica and getting into trouble/danger, Flounder would be scared and get called a guppy by Aaron. But a lot had changed in 12 years. She had grown up and now had a family of her own.

"Over here! Throw it to me! Yeah! I want it!" her kids called out. They were playing a game of tossing a clam and bonking it on their heads.

"Children," she gently scolded, "what did I say about playing 'kick the clam' on the reef?"

"Sorry, Mom," they aplogized.

"Uh, kids," Flounder said to Aaron with a laugh and suddenly saw his worried face, "I'm sorry about Melodious."

Everybody in Atlantica heard about what happened with melodious. Seeing Flounder with her own children made him miss his son so much.

"Flounder," Aaron said, taking her fins in his hands, "I really need your help."

"...wild sea horses couldn't stop me," she said.

Aaron hugged her close as a sign of gratitude. Besides Melodious, Flounder had every right to be made at him too. He was the one who cut both his son and himself from the ocean without consulting anyone after all. But she wasn't. At long last, she was reunited with her best friend and would do everything she could to help. And apparently, so would her kids as they swam after them.

Hope you guys are enjoying the story so far. When I was writing this, I learned something. You see, growing up, I always thought it was "the Daring Dip and Daring Dash", but when I was looking at the characters list to make sure I was including everyone, I found out it was actually "Titanic Tip and Daring Dash". Everything I knew was a lie! I've watched this movie since it came out in 2000 and only recently learned this!

Anyway, I changed Tip (still can't get use to that name" to Tif. I like to stay as close to the original names as possible after all unless it's a gender neutral name, like Dash!

And isn't it awesome that Aaron and Flounder are reunited after all these years? They make an unstoppable pair.
