Chapter Eleven: Battle Of The Ages
Back in the battle, the turtles, along with Shredder were battling out against the army of Foot-Soldiers. As they all battled, Shredder was standing at the doorway to the Technodrome, along with Rocksteady and Bebop. How this battle plays out for the heroes is a mystery to everyone.
"Venus, don't be afraid to actually kill the soldiers! They're not really human, they are cyborgs!" Leo called out.
"Got it!" Venus called back.
"The Rhino and the Warthog however are living beings, mutants like us!" Raph added.
The turtles and Splinter then proceed to dismantle the Foot-Soldiers. Decapitating, crushing, whatever they could do to take care of them. Without them even noticing, April was with her camera crew, especially Verne. They were here to broadcast this on the news. Even Casey was there.
"April, I really need to get in there and help them!" Casey pleaded.
"No need, Casey, the turtles have this under control. Besides, I don't want to lose you, if anything should happen." April stated. Casey sighs.
"Alright, but if anything happens to even one of them, I am jumping in there!" Casey stated with determination.
"Right, April, we are beginning to start in ten seconds." Verne told her.
"OK, we'll start asap." April mentioned.
Verne then gives the signal that he's counting down, and then he points to April to confirm that she is now live on the air. Casey stepped behind Verne, to make sure he doesn't get in the way of April's report.
"This is April O'Neil, Channel Six News! In the centre of Manhattan, Shredder and his army of Foot-Soldiers have invaded the city, entering with the Technodrome. Shredder emerges from there, along with his two main henchmen, known as Rocksteady and Bebop. Luckily, our hero ninja turtles, Leonardo, Donatello, Michaelangelo and Raphael are on the scene. Along with their Master Splinter, and the Shinobi Warrior turtle, known as Venus De Milo." April began.
Back in the battle, the turtles along with Splinter are still taking out as many of the soldiers as they could.
"Man, how many of these guys are there?!" Raph wondered.
"So many of them, dude!" Mike added.
"It's almost as if Shredder has an unlimited supply of them." Donnie also added.
"Well, we are going to stop them, no matter what! I'll keep slicing away at these guys all day if I have to!" Leo stated with determination.
"I am getting too old for doing this nonsense!" Splinter complained.
"This Technodrome or whatever he calls it, is pretty huge! Looks big enough to hide at least one thousand of those people in there!" Venus thought.
"Whatever the case may be, we can NOT allow Shredder, and his army to win! We must stop this, at ALL cost!" Splinter finished.
They kept on fighting through the army of Foot-Soldiers. Leo slices with his swords, Donnie knocks some heads off with his bo-staff, Mikey smashes some heads off with his nunchucks, Raph penetrates the heads, and rips them off forcefully with his sais, Venus uses her war fan to slice off some heads from the blades, and Splinter was mainly knocking them over with his staff.
They managed to beat at least five hundred of them. Although unfortunately it still looks as if they have another half to go. Not that was a huge problem for them, but Shredder didn't seem to mind.
"You're not mad that the Clan are losing, Shredder?" Rocksteady asked.
"Why would I be?" Shredder stated.
"Why would you not be?" Bebop asked in confusion.
"Well, because Bebop, do you remember what I told you earlier? When I killed Chung I? I have the book to possess the power of Shinobi magic. So it matters not how many of these men go, this is merely a diversion, until I gain my full power. I know the leader of the turtles will eventually go for me, so this is just for him to drain his stamina before he even reaches me." Shredder chuckles.
"Ah, clever idea!" Rocksteady stated.
"Brilliant plan! But my next question is, what is it you want me and Rocksteady to do?" Bebop wondered.
"You can do whatever you want. Join in the battle with the army, stand here and watch, it doesn't matter to me." Shredder told them.
"OK, well, I was starting to get bored here anyway!" Rocksteady stated.
"Yeah, so am I! I am gonna make turtle soup!" Bebop yelled.
After that, they both charged towards the turtles, and joined the fight. The turtles tried their best to not use their weapons on them, as they didn't really want to kill Rocksteady, or Bebop. This was beginning to make the fight more difficult for them.
"It's no good, guys! This is a lot tougher than I thought it was going to be!" Mikey stated.
"Now that Rocksteady and Bebop are thrown into the mix, that adds somewhat strength into this army!" Donnie added.
"It's not like we could actually kill them either!" Raph added.
Venus used a few of her magic to make a few of the soldiers explode, but shortly after, she ran out of energy to use any more.
"Oh no! My energy has drained! What do we do now?!" Venus wondered.
"There's only one thing left to do, you guys keep this army held up, I will go for Shredder!" Leo stated.
"Leonardo, no! Don't be stupid! You should let me go up there and fight him!" Splinter pleaded.
"Master Splinter, you're not as young as you use to be, and the last thing I want is to put you in danger! If there is only one person who can deal with Shredder, it's me!" Leo pleaded. Splinter sighs with worry.
"I suppose you are right, my son. Please, be careful." Splinter told him.
"I will, Master! And besides, I have a promise to keep!" Leo stated, as he looked at Venus.
Venus didn't even notice, but Splinter had a rough idea who he meant, as he heard what he told Venus last night. After that, Leo jumped out of the crowed, and he looked up at Shredder. Shredder looks down at Leo, and chuckles evilly.
