CJ sat on the edge of Simon's bed. Even though this wasn't the best situation to be in, it still meant something both to them. Simon reached out for CJ's hand and CJ took a hold of his hand straight away.
"That's better." Simon said, still groaning.
"What did the nurse say?" CJ asked hopefully.
"That I should be out in two weeks." Simon smiled.
"That soon?"
"That's still a long time CJ. well for being out of your service anyway." Simon shrugged but immediately regretted it.
"I suppose it is but I don't care as long as you're okay." CJ fiddled with Simon's hair.
"I wondered who had done that." Simon rolled his eyes.
CJ rolled her eyes back. Simon always knew how to ruin a moment. Sam and Josh's voices came from outside. CJ and Simon looked out and saw the president coming towards them. CJ stood up as Bartlett came through the door.
"Mr president." Both CJ and Simon said in unison.
"CJ, Agent Donovan. Good to see you awake." Bartlett nodded.
"Thank you sir. It's good to be awake." Simon smiled.
"Can I have a word with Agent Donovan please CJ?" Bartlett faced CJ.
CJ looked at Simon and Simon nodded. She straightened her suit and went outside hoping they wouldn't be too long. Bartlett sat on the chair across from the bed.
"What did you want to see me about?" Simon asked.
"Ron Butterfield got the files from the police." Bartlett said.
"Great. Something else wrong?"
"No, we have the people in custody who did it. They weren't exactly grateful." Bartlett told the good news.
"I bet they weren't!" Simon smiled.
"Ron wondered if you were coming back to service with CJ."
"I was going to sir." Simon said cautiously.
"Ron said it might be time to get a new agent in for CJ." Bartlett finally said.
"But sir…" Simon tried to say.
"He thinks that an agent who is close to the press secretary would better be served as her advisor or secretary." Bartlett smiled.
Simon was stunned. Secretary or advisor wasn't the best job in the world. However, if it meant to be close to CJ.
"I can't sir. I'd rather save her life then write letters for her." Simon shook his head.
"I'd thought you'd say that. That's why I told him to keep your job."
"Thank you sir." Simon nodded.
"Right. I'd better let CJ come back in." Bartlett motioned to the door.
"You can let them all in if you want sir." Simon sat up a little.
"You sure you want to face them all at once?!" Bartlett chuckled.
"I'll try." Simon chuckled with a little bit of pain.
"I'll tell Ron about the job. Keep safe Agent Donovan." Bartlett nodded as he let everyone else in.
The group gathered, watched Bartlett go and then entered the room. Simon was happy to see all of them even if they were going to be talking for ages!
"What was all that about?" Josh asked, pointing outside.
"He said I'm keeping my job." Simon reassured CJ and the others.
"I'm very happy about that." CJ smiled.
"What a night hey?" Sam spoke up.
"Some time at the theatre they said, do you the world of good they said." Josh patronised the secret agents who had told them to go.
"Josh!" CJ moaned.
Josh apologised to Simon but Simon didn't take it too personally.
"We've definitely had better nights." Leo spoke.
"Chicken chow mein?" Sam asked with a smile.
Leo made a face at Sam. CJ just rolled her eyes at all her colleagues but Simon gave her a little stare which told her not to do it as much. Before the conversation could go any further and annoy CJ more, Sam and Josh's pagers rang. They both sighed as they answered them.
"POTUS wants us." Sam sighed looking at the screen.
"But he just left." CJ moaned.
"Probably Abby worrying where he's gone." Leo tutted.
"We'd better answer these." Josh sighed looking at CJ for forgiveness.
CJ nodded slightly. She knew it would be best for the others to go back to work. She would need to return sooner or later. Sam and Josh quietly made their goodbyes and then left for the White House once again.
"All coming and going innit?" Simon moaned.
"I'd better go too. Can't leave Sam and Josh to do it all otherwise they'll mess it all up." Leo waved.
Before Simon and CJ knew it, Leo was gone as well. They were all alone again even though both of them knew it wouldn't last.

Agent Casper walked along the corridors of the White House waiting for the president to come back. After the conversation he had had with Agent Butterfield, maybe he needed to talk to the president about it. The door then opened with Bartlett and Abby heading towards the Oval office.
"Agent Casper." Bartlett nodded as he let him in with Abby to the Oval office.
"Mr president, Mrs Bartlett." Casper nodded sitting down on the sofa.
"You'll be glad to hear that Agent Donovan will make a full recovery and is keeping his job with CJ." Bartlett sat down behind his desk.
"I wanted a word with you about that sir." Casper loosened his suit.
"What is it?" Bartlett put his glasses on to read whatever was lying on the desk.
Abby was leaning up against the desk. She always liked to know what was going on within the White House if it concerned any of the team.
"It's Agent Butterfield sir. I think there might be something wrong." Casper continued.
"Ron. What about him?" Bartlett stopped.
"I think he's not taking the news very well."
"He was fine when I last checked on him. What's changed?"
"I don't know. Maybe you should check on him again." Abby said, trying to get Bartlett to do something.
Bartlett sighed and told Casper to get Butterfield to come to the office. Casper nodded and left to find Agent Butterfield. Bartlett shook his head at Abby.
"You really know how to deal with this don't you?!" Bartlett let out.
"Maybe. I know when someone needs help." Abby smiled as she took Casper's place.
It wasn't long before Casper returned. Ron came in behind him and shut the door so no one could listen in to the conversation.
"Agent Casper said you weren't feeling well." Bartlett said to Butterfield.
"Maybe not sir. Just everything that has gone on I guess." Ron admitted.
"Simon will be fine." Bartlett reassured him.
"I know sir but I was wondering if I could take some time off?" Ron asked.
"Of course. I'm sure Agent Casper will look after everything while you're gone." Bartlett nodded over to Casper who nodded back.
"Thank you sir." Ron nodded as he left the office.
Casper then left as well to get to work on what Ron would leave behind for him. Abby then sat down on Bartlett's desk and kissed her husband, he had finally done something to please her.
"Well done." Abby whispered.
"No worries." Bartlett whispered back as the two snuggled together whilst talking about other things.

Sam and Josh had reached the office again and found Toby waiting for them. He had about a hundred papers in his hands and was giving them an ice cold stare.
"Have we done something?" Josh whispered to Sam.
"Looks like it." Sam whispered back.
Sam and Josh both gulped and then walked to see what Toby wanted.
"Where have you been?" Toby nearly shouted.
"Out. We went to see Agent Donovan." Josh said.
"Right. Well now you have work to do back here." Toby gave over the files.
Josh and Sam sighed as they both went off to their offices for a hard day's work. They hated papers but if something needed doing it was worth doing well.

CJ had snuggled into bed with Simon. She was sure the nurse would tell her off but she didn't care too much.
"So what are you going to do whilst you're off?" CJ asked.
"I don't know yet. Butterfield will probably have me filling out forms all day!" Simon sighed.
"Wouldn't be surprised." CJ chuckled.
"As long as I'm near you I don't care."
CJ smiled up at Simon with a shine in her eyes. Simon kissed CJ on the head. They then snuggled further. After the night they had, it wasn't a surprise they wanted to be close. Hopefully for a long time they would be close together.
