Lucifer and Mazikeen are in the white convertible. They both sit quietly as Gabriel is screaming from the pain that Lucifer caused. Lucifer smiles cheekily while hearing the screams of Gabriel Hornblower.
Mazikeen breaks the silence after a few minutes go by, "I think that might be enough of hearing that idiot's cries."
"In a minute, Mazikeen!" Lucifer says with a grin, "I love hearing a grown man cry! Let alone one of my angelic brothers!"
Mazikeen smiles as she tries to go along with Lucifer's mood. She states with a forced happy voice, "Yes, indeed! I just think we should go now and get back to business. Like finding this detective person."
Lucifer only half listens as he grabs a cigarette from a package in the car. He is about to put it in his mouth and light it until Mazikeen slaps it out. He yells, "Bloody hell! Why did you do that?"
"Because, Lucifer," Mazikeen says with a serious tone, "I am talking and you should listen for once instead of ignoring me like usual!"
Lucifer holds the cigarette between his right index finger and middle finger as he places it on the steering wheel. He sighs reluctantly, "Fine, I will listen."
"Thank you!" Mazikeen says as she pulls out her curved blades again to flip them, "I think we should go off and meet our friend Azazel. He may help you out. Then I can finally be taken back to Hell."
Lucifer turns the ignition on as he reluctantly listens to the demon. He curiously looks at her with a question, "And who is this Azazel?"
He presses the gas pedal to let the roofless convertible run off from the LA slums. Maze sighs as she replies, "Honestly, Lucifer. I don't know what's gotten into you."
She leans in closer to Lucifer as she continues, "Azazel was your right hand man in both Hell and Earth, idiot."
"What are you talking about?" Lucifer chuckles, "I ruled Hell alone and always have."
"Well, here you don't." Mazikeen points out, "Though I do miss the old ruthless you."
She looks dreamily as she leans back into the passenger seat. Lucifer feels some tension in the air as he drives on the road over the beach. He then glances over to assure Mazikeen, "Maze, I may not be the same as I once was, but at least we still have each other through thick and thin."
"Even when you act more emotional than usual." Mazikeen adds.
Lucifer quickly nods as he gets into downtown. He parallel parks by a tall building not from Lux as he grabs his lighter once again to take a few puffs. Then letting his occupied hand with cigarette fall on the wheel as the smoke rises, he speaks again with more of a sullen tone, "I thank you for being by my side even when we have fought." He chuckles to add, "More than a lot."
Mazikeen looks at him with half of her face stiff and cold. Lucifer continues to say, "What I'm saying is that I am not your Lucifer from this world. I'm much more... different than he is."
"Are you trying to butter me up with this whole 'you're from another world' shtick?" Mazikeen asks retortly, "Because you're not selling it at all."
She shakes her head as she looks away feeling like she should get out of the car right now. Lucifer takes another puff as he points out, "I've always been honest. I never lie so you should realize that I am from another completely different universe."
"Then prove it!" Mazikeen shouts as she hastily gets out of the car slamming the door. "If you can then I'll believe your whole being 'the Devil from a different world' bullshit!"
Lucifer angrily huffs as he gets out of the car. He flicks the cigarette down and takes his black suit jacket off leaving only the red buttoned shirt, black tie, and pants. He takes the long black tie off along with unbuttoning only the top button. He answers wildly upset, "You want proof, Mazikeen! Then I'll say everything about the world I live in!"
He angrily points at Mazikeen as he glares with his blue eyes at her. Lucifer tells her the whole story about retiring from Hell, meeting with the Detective, getting told several times to return to Hell by Amenadiel, getting killed by a dirty cop, having the Goddess of Creation in a human body then giving her an empty universe to create, the whole story of Cain, Amenadiel having a son with Lucifer's therapist, and ending up once again in Hell only to get back to fix Micheal's dirty tricks.
Then Lucifer ends with, "So you see, I am telling the truth."
Mazikeen stands there with her facial expressions never changing. She gets the nerve to say, "I still see you as a coward and as my alleged husband."
Lucifer rolls his eyes as he understands Mazikeen doesn't see it. Lucifer yells, "For goodness sake, I am not any kind of husband of yours and we'll never see each other like that. Ever!"
Mazikeen nods as she says, "Okay, 'not' husband. Whatever you say, but we're still meeting up with Azazel whether you like it or not."
"Fine, but only if you don't bring up that I am from a different world." Lucifer says as he takes a bit of a breather after telling her the whole story.
"Very well, but I have no idea what to call you now after hearing that insane fairy tale." Mazikeen says as she walks across the street to get to Lux.
"Still Lucifer!" The Devil declares as he follows. He gets his black suit jacket from the car to put back on. The only thing he leaves is the black tie.
"Okay." Mazikeen slyly says as she rolls her eyes while licking her lips, "Maybe Lucifer the weakling. Or better yet, Baby Lucifer."
She laughs as she steps into the nightclub only to have Lucifer growl at her, "Steady, Mazikeen. You will not talk to me that way."
Mazikeen gives a single laugh as they walk in to see a man in a black cloak and black hair with a beard. Lucifer laughs at the sight and jokes, "What is this, a monk walking into my nightclub? Of all things!"
The man in the cloak lifts himself off from the stool. He gives a short bow to Mazikeen. Then he nods quickly at Lucifer who just smiles at him. He gestures at them quietly to come sit beside as he settle down again.
Mazikeen goes in to sit down by the mysterious man in the cloak while Lucifer hesitantly goes over not knowing what he is expecting.
