(Instrumental) – (As the music begins were shown the forms of both Arthur, fully armored, and Ryuichi in his Kuoh Academy uniform as they appear standing back to back in darkness with their swords pointed to the ground before all fades to darkness and then the title appears.)

(I'm stuck in a never-ending dream. Where my wishes and hopes cannot be seen) – (As the title fades were shown Ryuichi as he stands in Glastonbury Abbey looking over King Arthur's grave in thought.)
(And it's killing me, but I can't let go) – (In the main room of the ORC, Rias is shown to be looking out the main window with a forlorn look in her eyes before closing them in sad contemplation. A tear falls from her right eye as she thinks of Ryuichi.)
(There's a sadness raining down on me. And the future is looking oh so bleak) – (Ryuichi stands in forested area of Kuoh Academy in the middle of the rain as he summons the Invisible Air in his hands, looking upon the blade wondering what form it really is. Rias watches him from outside with an umbrella over her head as her fears manifest in the form of Riser Phenex with his back behind her yet on fire.)
(But I'm holding on, so dearly, to precious memories) – (The two then suddenly turn to and see each other from their respective spots looking back at each other with longing in their eyes and smiling at each other. Rias' fears in the form of Riser banish away in the process as the Rain stops and the sun soon shines through the clouds.)
(To protect the ones I cherish I've got to be stronger) – (The scene then changes to the rest of the ORC, Issei, Kiba, Koneko, Asia, and Akeno, in the daytime as everyone is together talking and enjoying tea as Ryuichi looks in the mirror and sees King Arthur's visage over his.)
(Don't want to hesitate, I wanna to be braver) – (The scene then cuts to Kiba and Ryuichi standing far with their blades drawn for training as the two swordsmen prepare to duel with the rest of the ORC cheering them on.)
(So no matter what may come I can face the morning sun) – (The next scene then turns dark as it shows the Fallen Angel group, with Dohnaseek, Mittelt, and Kalawarner sitting in the rooftop of the church and ray are levitating above them, and a large group of stray exorcists on ground floor.)
(Brave Shine!) – (The two sides begin their conflict, with Ryuichi engaging Dohnaseek with his Invisible Air as sparks fly.)
(Cause you brought me to your world and gave me light) – (Rias and Akeno then blast the large group of Exorcists with both lighting and Power of Destruction, clearing away a good amount of them as Koneko unleashes a shockwave by slamming her fist to the floor, erupting the earth and taking out many of them too.)
(On the night I suffered most, you saved my life) – (The scene then pans to Kiba and Freed as the two attempt to strike the other with sparks flying between.)
(Wielding all the things that we believe in; A test of faith I know I can win) – (The scene then show Issei and Ryuichi as they take on Milttelt, Kalwarner, and Raynare. The next scene swiftly changes to Ryuichi charging up his sword with light before slamming it to the ground, blinding everything in yellow and white light.)
(I'll grant us love and peace for all time) – (The scene then cuts to Ryuichi after the fight as he stands with Excalibur in his hands as everyone rallies in front of the ruined church as the group then smiles at their newest friend and he walks to join them.)
(Cause you shine!) – (The last scene shows King Arthur's grave at Glastonbury Abbey with Excalibur stuck into the grave marker as the title card shows once again.)

Chapter 9: The Game Begins…and Ends
I looked myself up and down in the mirror in my bathroom as I waited patiently for the time to come for the Rating Game to start. I won't lie, I was worried. I was scared. To not say any of that would make me a liar. What if I failed, what if I lost before it all even barely started?
But I made a promise to her and we had trained 10 days for this. I could only hope I was ready for what was to come.
"Hey there, handsome," A familiar voice said.
I turned to see that Yuki still in her nightgown and Fou on her shoulder, whom both were now in the bathroom with me.
"Are you ready for your big debut?" She asked me playfully with a wink. I could only let off a smile grin in response.
"Yeah, I hope," I answered. As I put my hands on the countertop and let out a large sigh to try and ease my nervousness.
"Hey, chin up. I know you'll cook that piece of fried chicken today so just be confident in yourself. Remember, your powers respond to your emotions," Yuki explained as she hugged me from behind.
I turned and returned the favor replying, "Thanks I needed that."
I couldn't help but stare into her eyes as Fou, reading the room, soon left us.
"You know if you need a release for anything, pent up…" Yuki began to speak but she didn't finish as I took her chin in my hand and we kissed for few seconds before separating.
"Now I feel ready," I said with a smile on my face now.
"You little…" Yuki replies, "Breakfast is ready by the way. You should have something before this fight happens."
"Thanks," I said.
After taking sometime out to have a quick meal, I waited out the rest of the time until a red magic circle appeared on the floor and I stepped on it.
Looking at Fou and Yuki I gave a small wave as I teleported to the ORC room. When I got there everyone else was there already waiting as well.
"Ryuichi, you're here," Rias greeted warmly. The crimson beauty was sipping tea as well was Akeno. Kiba had his sword sheathed by his waist, Koneko with her cat-themed gloves on, and Issei and Asia sitting together.
I then found a spot on the couch with the two and we all simply waited for dawn to come. But before Grayfia could arrive, we had a visitor in the form of Sona and Tsubaki.
"Sorry for any interruptions," Sona said with a serious look on her face. Tsubaki looking the same as well.
"Not at all Sona," Rias replied.
"Glad you could make it," Akeno joined in greeting them.
"I didn't think you two would be here," Issei said.
"There's to be a live broadcast of the game to be seen by all respective family and guests. Sona and Tsubaki are here to help with that," Rias explained.
"Besides this being Rias' first Rating Game, I wouldn't miss it for the world," Sona said.
"Oh that's right. I never got to say it back then," I said as I approached Sona had I been paying attention the Sitri heiress had a small blush. With a small bow I spoke, "I wish to thank you for the events a few weeks back and for your watching over me afterwards. I never got a chance to say it then so I hope you can accept."
"No, it was nothing besides Rias would have my head if a fellow servant in our own territory was left behind," Sona replied.
"If you don't mind I never got around to asking this of you, but I hear you're a fan of chess?" I asked Sona.
Suddenly a small smile formed, and she replied, "Yes, a great hobby of mine."
"If you don't mind with the others as my witnesses, how about we have a friendly wager?" I offered.
"What do you mean?" Sona inquired.
"If either us both has the time for a chess of match of any kind the winner asks one thing of the loser and that is all."
Sona and everyone's eyes widened at my offer.
"You're offering that either of us can ask any one thing of the other if I or you were to win a chess match of some kind?" Sona reiterated.
"Yes, that's right." I answered with a nod.
Sona sighs. "Haah, very well. But fair warning chess is my stage, and no one has ever come close to beating me." Sona informed me.
"I always do like a challenge," I said as the two of us shook on the deal.
Just as the two of us finished our deal another circle appeared and this time Grayfia appeared. So it was time.
"It's almost time. I hope you're ready for this milady," Grayfia said simply.
"But of course. We're ready when you are," Rias informed her.
"In a few moments we shall use this magic circle to transport you all to the battle arena," Grayfia informed us.
"That place being?" Issei asked.
"A neutral battle zone created just for this game. This way we can go on a rampage and burn it to the ground if we want," Akeno answered him with a smile.
"I'm worried for my own safety for some reason," I replied.
"I'll be broadcasting from the Student Council room; we'll be cheering you on. Good luck." Sona said as she and Tsubaki left.
"Thanks just be sure to make the play-by-play fair," Rias said jokingly.
"Oh I'll keep it fair. But if I was a betting woman I think you'll find a way to beat that guy seven ways from Sunday," Sona finished off as the pair left.
Just as Sona and Tsubaki left Grayfia added, "Oh I forgot to mention, the great lord Lucifer and the heads of Gremory will be here to watch the game."
"Oh, Onii-sama and the family. Just my luck," Rias said some discomfort in her voice.
"Wait?! You mean your brother is the Devil Lucifer? Are you kidding?!" Issei said shocked.
"Unfortunately, yes," Rias again sounding discomforted. Kiba then explained to Issei and Asia about Sirzechs and how he came to have the title Lucifer.
With that done the circle was prepared and we all waited for it to whisk us away to the battle arena.
As it whisked us away in the next moment we seemed to be in the same ORC room as before. Issei and Asia confused that we may not have traveled at all.
"What's going on? Did I screw it up again?" Issei said.
"I think our magic circle is broken," Asia commented. We then heard Grayfia over a loudspeaker.
[Welcome everyone, my name is Grayfia of the Gremory Household and I will be the host for this Rating Game between Lady Rias Gremory and Lord Riser Phenex. The battlefield is an exact replica of Kuoh Academy, a school in the human world. As such, Lady Rias' HQ is in the Old School Building and Lord Riser's HQ is the Student Council office. Pawns are allowed to promote upon reaching the other enemies main territory. The game ends at exactly noon, and with all that said… Let the game begin.]
"I don't get it?" Issei still seemed confused.
"Just take a look outside for yourself," Rias told him. The pair opened a nearby window to and it was an exact replica of Kuoh, but the sky was not the same blue one in the human world.
"Like she said this is a 'replica' of Kuoh Academy that's why it's the same but not really. We're in the Underworld right now that's why the sky looks like that," Kiba explained.
"First I'm gonna make my way to their home base, promote into something badass and kick the crap out of Lord Douche-nozzle," Issei declared.
"I wouldn't do that unless you want your ass handed to you," Akeno jokingly replied.
"Think about it, dude," I softly chided him. "Riser has 8 pawns compared to our only one in you. That means if they get here, we'll have to deal with 8 promoted Queens at the same time. Think of Akeno times eight and it's not a fun thing to think about."
"Oh, I see…" Issei sounded deflated.
After that we began discussing strategies of attack and where to place traps. Considering our smaller size compared to Riser's, we would have to play a war of attrition and force him to come out and fight himself. But even if we do beat all 14 of his other pieces we still have the Phenex himself to deal with and that's not something I not anyone should deal with alone.
Just as Kiba, Koneko, and Akeno leave to do their tasks of setting up traps and illusions; Rias, Issei, Asia and I are left in the ORC building.
"Issei, come here. It's time we unlocked some of your power," Rias said as he beckoned Issei to her.
"Okay," He simply replied. She then touched the sides of his head and then a red glow appeared around him as if he received a power boost. So no lap pillow, then. I really have changed things.
"Wow, I feel light and stronger now. I think I can deal with that friend chicken by myself!" Issei said proudly.
"Congratulations, Issei!" Asia sounded proud of him.
After getting our communicators we were all spread out in either teams or in Akeno's case ready on standby for the signal for Rias' plan. But knowing what I know, I have my own plan. Sure, Rias will probably be angry but it's something that I have to do.
Issei and I were teamed up and put on securing the Gym. I knew I would either be here or with Kiba defending the HQ, but I guess I'll have to make do with the pervert.
With one last rallying call, me and Issei head inside the gym and hide behind the curtain trying our best to keep quiet.
"I still can't believe this place is close to the original," Issei commented.
I then felt a surge in power enter the building. Then the spotlights to turned on and then a demanding voice same forth, "We know you're there, servants of Gremory. Come on out!"
"Time for our big debut, huh?" I said jokingly as the two of us walked out on stage. Just like I remembered, it was Xuelan, Mira, Ile and Nel. However a new addition was Siris, Riser's other knight.
Siris' face then turned to anger as she drew her zweihander sword and pointed it at me, "You! You were the one who insulted Lord Riser."
My, for a knight who doesn't have any honor, she is loyal.
"My, my, did you have enough time to get hot and heavy only to be discarded soon after? Or was he doing the maids first?" I said with an arrogant smirk on my face.
Her face now on the brink of rage she then takes a breath to calm herself, "My name is Siris, a knight of Lord Riser. I'll cut you down and reward my lord with your dead body."
Typical, but as I looked to Xuelan, I could see she looked serious, but it was softer like she was torn between her life debt and her duty to her King.
"I am Xuelan, a Rook of Lord Riser," Even her voice sounded sure, but I could hear it wasn't as harsh.
"I'm Mira."
"I'm Ile/I'm Nel. All three of us are pawns." The two small twins said in unison.
In a flash of blue and green, Issei and I summoned our respective weapons.
"I'm Issei Hyoudou, Rias' pawn," Issei declared.
Cracking my neck, "And I'm Ryuichi Naruse, Rias Gremory's pawn."
Siris was surprised, "You're a Rook, but you use a weapon?"
"I like to mix things up. Besides, I thought you ladies would know about me from your 'Master'. Issei, deal with those pawns. These other two are mine."
"You got it," Issei then rushed off to deal with the three pawns. Leaving me and the two more experienced ones with me. Glad they didn't feel like interfering in Issei's fight.
"Well, seems we lucked out. After I finish you, Lord Riser will reward us greatly," Siris proudly declared.
"Bring it on," I said as I rushed the knight with the Invisible Air.
CLASH!
Pushing her away, Siris then made a large downward seeing at me in which I lean left to dodge still feeling the impact of the blow.
"Your mine!" I could hear Xuelan yell as she threw a flame coated kick my way in which I had duck in that time Siris then began to swing downward once more in an attempt to bisect me which I block just in time to stop.
"Good reactions," Xuelan replied as a smile crept onto her face. She then coated the rest of her hands and feet in fire and threw a barrage of punches and kicks my way forcing me to either dodge or block the blows.
Afterwards she then finished up with a roundhouse kick forcing me to duck once more.
"You're open again!"
From behind Siris appeared using her Knight speed and was already in mid-swing, thinking on my feet I then fell back and then in one movement using my hands as support delivered a backwards kick-up into her stomach knocking her away.
Looking to retaliate, Xuelan then comes at me with a flame coated fist and, to her shock, I grab it with my hand.
"What?! Impossible?!" Then a few crackles could be heard and then, Xuelan received a major shock forcing her to let go and back away with a few burns around her clothes and body.
"Lightning magic?!" Siris said in surprise.
"Yep, there's a lot more things you can do with magic besides attacking girls. You really should look into it," I answered her with a sly grin on my face.
"You used your magic to protect your hand from my flames and then used it to send an electric shock to me," Xuelan realized.
"Ding! We have a winner! But I must say, I'm disappointed. Kiba and Koneko are much better than you two!" I declared.
"Are you implying we are inferior then to the Knight and other Rook of Rias Gremory?" Siris inquired with a scowl.
"No, I'm implying it. But I'm saying it anyway," I responded as my body was surrounded in lighting magic.
"Guess you do have some bite for that bark. Which means we can't hold back anymore. No then show us what you've really got," Xuelan said, her fighting spirit reinvigorated.
Both were now coming at me with a noticeable increase in speed. With Siris' Knight speed and, even with my lighting coat, Xuelan was able to keep up with me. As the three of us simply traded blows and sparks flying from Siris' sword and mine clashing.
During this, Siris delivered a powerful right slice which forced me to defend against it sending me back in that time Xuelan then rushed me and attempted to deliver a kick to my ribs. Grabbing her ankle and with some boosts from Mana Burst and with my one good arm, I threw Xuelan back to her teammate Siris catching her in her arms.
"I must say I never thought you would be this much of a problem. Xuelan, it's time to end this," Siris told her fellow servant.
"Yes, I must say to make us go this far. You are probably the best opponent we've had so far. But that's the only compliment you'll get from us," Xuelan said.
"I thank you for it. To get from two lovely ladies such as yourselves, I'm flattered," I replied.
"Like we said this is the only compliment you'll get. Do it, Xuelan," Siris said.
In the next second, the Rook came at me with unbelievable speed and grazed my cheek with her fist and then on my other side, Siris got in position to deliver another wide swing. Only this time I was done playing around.
"Sorry ladies, but I gotta say it's been fun. But this fight is over," I say as a golden glow from Instinct surrounds my body and in the next second I vanish from my spot.
"Where did he…?" Xuelan replied but she couldn't finish as Siris then tried to warn her fellow Devil.
"Xuelan, behind…!" But it was too late as I delivered two fast slashes to both of her right arm and left leg. Trying to retaliate, Siris tried once more to strike at me but after putting in a bit more power into my blade the two of us clashed only this time Siris' sword broke and in the same slash she was now bleeding from her abdomen.
Putting away my blade I then coated my fists in lighting and in one great punch sent Siris flying towards the stage and with another kick sent Xuelan flying to the stage with her comrade sending both of them crashing into the nearby wall and piling on one and other.
Having dealt with my side I looked over to Issei to check on him only to hear, "Time to get naked!"
With a snap of Issei's fingers, the clothes of all three of Mira, Ile, and Nel were torn to shreds, making them as naked as the day they were born.
Being the gentleman that I am, I didn't look at them out of disrespect.
"Ha-ha, ever since my tiny man baby balls dropped all I could ever do was imagine chicks naked. Now with my perverted power and devil magic my dream has finally come true!" Issei cheered.
"How disgusting!" Xuelan said in well…disgust.
"Perverted freak!" Siris joined her comrade.
"Dude, you ever wonder why every single girl at school wants you dead and castrated? You'll never learn. But I guess for someone who wants to be a Harem King, do what you do. I don't care at this point," I said giving up any hope at this kid moderating his perversion.
"You approve of this?!" All of the girls yell my way.
"If something works, it works," Tapping my communicator, "Rias, the gym is ours."
"Excellent, now then Akeno will be coming in so get out of there quick," She informed us.
"But wait, isn't this place important?" Issei said perplexed.
"Not in the next few minutes it isn't," I replied.
But as I left a certain Chinese servant was thinking to herself, "I wish you good luck and safety, Ryuichi Naruse."
A few moments after we ran out of the gym a large explosion engulfed it as we then heard an announcement by Grayfia.
[Three Pawns, One Rook, and One Knight of Lord Riser's have been retired]
"Now that's what I call bringing the pain, right Issei?" I ask the pawn.
"Yeah, good thing we weren't in there when that went off I think Akeno would still get off on that," Issei replied.
We looked to the sky to see said Priestess of Thunder in her shrine outfit as she licked her fingers and a crimson flush on her face as the previous explosion and subsequent destruction might have been the biggest turn on for her in quite some time.
"Well that was fun, but it's time to get back on track," I said to Issei.
"Yeah, let's go and help Koneko and Ki- " Issei never finished as I sensed a strong power nearby.
"ISSEI, MOVE!" I scream as I forcefully push him out of the way.
"Hey man, what's the big idea…" But Issei never finished as a huge explosion knocked him away.
BOOM!
Issei then snapped his eyes open to see the remnants of that explosion to only find a huge crater with fire all around and debris everywhere and a pile of rubble where Ryuichi was last standing.
"Ryuichi! Answer me!" Issei yelled out to his friend.
No response.
Ryuichi had pushed Issei to safety, but in the process couldn't save himself.
"A pity I only got one of them. I guess Gremory's servants are more perceptive than I thought. But no matter one less annoyance," Yubelluna said haughtily but some disappointment was in her voice.
"You bitch!" Issei said enraged. Suddenly a large burst of magical power surged, and a torrent of lighting struck at Yubelluna who got out of the way just in time.
Akeno arrived and sent a glare towards the Phenex Queen, "Know this, Lady Yubelluna, you have made a huge mistake. Or I should perhaps call you the Bomb Queen?"
"Issei! What happened to Ryuichi? Why can't I contact him?" Rias' voice came through their communicators was noticeably slow and sounded in despair.
"Prez… Ryuichi is…" Issei began to sound sad as well until he remembered he didn't hear a retire announcement so that meant…
Suddenly, large crackles of lightning appeared from the rubble. But if Akeno isn't using her powers than only one other person could use magic like that and in the next moment a large explosion occurred sending more debris around.
The two Gremory devils looked to see it was Ryuichi and he was fine with a few tears in his clothes and few singes surrounding his body but all in all he was fine.
"Ryuichi!" Akeno sounded ecstatic, her smile returned to her face.
"Ryuichi, you're fine! Don't scare us like that man!" Issei cheered and expected Ryuichi to throw some quip at him but he got nothing as Ryuichi stood there motionless for a few seconds.
Seeing Ryuichi in one moment he only saw a crackle of lighting around the Rook until he was gone in a flash!
A scream was all they heard as Yubelluna was knocked into the nearby tennis courts. Ryuichi had appeared by her side in an instant. How did he move that fast?
"Issei, Akeno! You two go on ahead and join up with Kiba and Koneko! This bitch is mine to deal with," I said somberly.
"But Ryuichi, we need to follow Rias' plan and you're wounded now," Akeno said with slight worry.
"I know that, but she's mine to make suffer for what she's done. Besides, this one's personal next to that friend asshole's cowardice. I'll catch up later, just go," My voice leaving no room for objections.
Issei and Akeno were still hesitant, but Ryuichi seemed adamant in his stance and wasn't going to budge. With reluctance the two ran away to join the others.
Akeno looked back to Ryuichi and thought to herself, "Ryuichi, please… be careful."
Another announcement by Grayfia could be heard just as the two left, [Three of Lord Riser's pawns retired]
"So Kiba and Koneko did their thing. Good. 8 down, 7 to go. Now to add one more to the garbage," I thought to myself. It was quick luck I was able to summon my lighting armor at the last second for as weak as it was it did the job, kind of.
I then turned to face the smoking spot where the Phenex Queen fell when I heard a sound in my ear. Itwas Rias trying to contact me.
"Ryuichi! Answer me, Ryuichi!" I heard Rias' desperate pleas over my communicator.
"Rias, what is it?" I responded.
"Finally, you responded. What happened to you and Issei?" She inquired with worry; I know I have to apologize later for making her worry.
"Akeno and Issei went on ahead to join Kiba and Koneko. I'm dealing with Riser's queen right now," I replied.
"WHAT! What are you thinking?!" Wincing from the loud screams in my eardrums.
"Rias, I'm going deaf now!" I answered ringing still in my ears.
"Ryuichi, what possessed you to fight Yubelluna by yourself?" She asked me.
Just as I was about to answer I looked to see that Yubelluna was rising from her hole in the tennis court and ready to fly over.
"I'm sorry, she's coming back. I have to go." I said hurriedly.
"Ryuichi, wait! Don't do this you're not ready! Let Akeno deal with her, besides, you're hurt as well. What about your promise?" The last part she sounded desperate and upset. All I could do was clench my fists in both anger and preparation for battle.
"Why do think I was always asking Akeno for help back at training? I'm doing this to keep my promise to you!" I answered her.
"You planned this all out, didn't you?" She had figured out my plan.
Yubelluna was now flying towards me, have to go now, "I'm sorry. I have to go now, Rias."
"Ryuichi, please wait I don't want to see you hurt anymore…" I shut off the receiver before she could finish. It hurt me to see her sound so desperate and for me of all people.
So if she's that desperate I'll have to win just that harder. Summoning as much lightning magic as I could I focused it all on my body and with a few moments of concentration. My body was now coated in a cloak of lightning.
If this seems familiar it should to a lot of people, essentially I copied the Lightning Chakra Mode from the Raikage from Naruto. I know original, but for the purposes right now, it's what I need. The only thing I don't want to remember is the training I put myself through to get this result.
I shudder looking back on the memories of my training with Akeno to harness my lightning this way.
"Boy tell me now, where is the Priestess of Thunder?" Yubelluna asked while scowling. The wound she has on her stomach was bigger than I thought. "I will clash with her after I'm done with you,"
"Apologies, but all you've got is me right now," I reply with little emotion as I look back at her with the same cold stare I gave Riser back in the ORC.
"You insolent little bug."
After saying that a large magic circle appeared at the top of her wand as another large explosion was fired at me. Dodging out of the way with my newfound speed and drawing the Invisible Air I attempted to slash from behind, but she reacted just in time and blocked it.
Just as we clashed another circle appeared on her wand forcing me to retreat and back away. I then attempted to charge at her once more, but I was met with an explosive before I could make it half-way towards her.
"Like it? I can also place explosives around the area both in the air and on the ground if I so wish," Yubelluna taunted.
"Well then, guess I'll just have to be a little unorthodox then," I replied as I channeled lighting through me free left hand and then without aiming at Yubelluna began to strike the area around her.
Just as I did, more purple magic circles appeared and in the process were destroyed. Seeing her plans being unraveled she retaliated and sent another round of multiple explosives my way, dodging with my speed I used the smoke as cover as I once again tried to get in close to her.
This time, however, she noticed me and with both her wand and free hand she sent a torrent of fire blasts at me. Weaving through as gracefully as I could, I was singed more along the way until I finally made it in close and we clashed once more.
"What… what are you?! A Rook like you should already be dead!" Yubelluna's anger was now visible.
"Well then since you've shown me one of your tricks, let me show you one of mine," I said as our weapons were locked I then sent some mana through the Invisible Air and her eyes widened in shock.
"Strike…" A large blue hue appeared around the blade as a torrent of wind surrounded it. Her eyes then widen in fear. "…Air!"
With one great blow, I destroyed her wand and blew her away, but she was able to unfurl her wings before she fell to the ground, lessening the damage but considering the state of her body currently she was hurt.
She was now bleeding in multiple places along her body and her dress was also ripped in several places. She looked out cold so with this moment of peace I made my way to her body and began to pat her down. Keeping my eyes away from a certain area.
Looking for a certain item, my eyes widened when I couldn't find it. Where are those damn Phenex tears?!
I was interrupted when suddenly a blast of fire knocked me away after encompassing me for a few seconds, burning away even more of my clothes.
"Gah!" I screamed as recovered in mid-air. Yubelluna recovered as well after coughing out some blood.
"Were you perhaps looking for these?" She said in an angry voice a scowl on her face, as she pulled something from her cleavage. I should've known that would be where they were.
While I had been gaping at the revelation of her Phenex Tears, she was about to drink it, "With this I shall destroy you and your friends!"
"Shit!"
Quickly moving, I then rush towards her and in a slit second I slash to bottle in an impulsive attempt to stop her.
Just as she goes to drink she notices the contents are gone and leaked onto the ground, "What!? Impossible, how?!"
'I needed that, but I do need to find another girl whose carrying some. So if I can just charm my way into taking hers, it should all be fine. But first…'
"You bastard! I will destroy you in the name of Lord Riser!" She bellowed at as she charged at me launching blast after blast of fire barely leaving me enough of a chance to dodge them all. Until one make contact and blew me away.
She then flew high into the air and prepared an ever-larger fire blast this one bigger than any of the ones she's made before.
"This is all for Lord Riser. After I've destroyed you, I shall at least present your body before you retire. Now die would you, insect!" She finished as her fire blast was done charging. Just as it launched it and came at me it exploded and a shower of smoke and debris littered the tennis courts.
"Hmph, trash," She said as found nothing in the hole.
"Guess again, bitch," A voice said from behind. It was me in front of her face as I sent her flying with a punch.
"What!?" She had not time to react a hard punch sent her flying, then as she went through the air I sped towards her again sending her to ground with kick and just before she could hit the ground and with momentum of her fall I grabbed her waist and just like the Fourth Raikage did to Sasuke screamed out.
"Liger Bomb!" As I powerbomb her into the tennis court I could hear her body crunch as I could hear bones being broken in both her arms, legs, and her ribs as well.
The ground beneath us now cracked and destroyed even further her body dissolved in a shower of light and then the announcement was heard…
[L-lord Riser's Queen retired]. I'm sure everybody both on the field and setting heard that. Even Grayfia sounded in awe that Yubelluna was defeated but now's not the time to be complacent.
"Alright, asshat. You're up next," I said to myself as I flew away to join the others.
Meanwhile with the others…
Issei and Akeno had meet up with Kiba and Koneko and told them the situation about Ryuichi taking on Yubelluna by himself.
"I know Ryuichi has gotten stronger, but to take on a Queen by himself seems like a gamble," Kiba said with neutral concern but worry was evident in his voice.
But before Akeno could explain further a call came through their communicators, it was Rias.
"Akeno! Please go back and help Ryuichi, he won't listen, and his communicator is off," Rias' voice sounded desperate again.
Kiba asked, "What do you mean, President?"
"He had plan to take on Yubelluna ahead of time and decided to send Akeno with you all to help you all I suppose. But he's not ready, he's being reckless again," Rias' worry was becoming more evident.
"Rias, I know you're worried but Ryuichi looked confident in what he was doing. I trust him to beat the Bomb Queen and get back to us. You have to put your faith in him to just as much as he believes in you!" Akeno explained to her King.
The line was quiet for a few seconds until Rias' voice replied, "But why? Why can't he trust us? Trust me? Please go and help him before he gets killed."
Issei could now see Akeno's shaky hands and her forlorn look return, he understood what Daisuke was doing it was a lot like how he felt with Asia. That determination to not stop no matter what.
"Prez, please just listen for a second," Issei said into his communicator.
"Issei?" Rias said.
"I know that you're worried. We all are. But I could see it in Ryuichi's eyes he had that look that no matter what he was gonna win. Now we have to match him and prove that we can do the same. He beat both a Rook and Knight on his own." Issei explained.
Everyone was surprised at the revelation and Rias paused once again herself.
"Very well, then we'll do just that. We'll match Ryuichi's resolve and defeat Riser," Rias' now sounded more confident than before. "Even though we are changing our plans a bit, we can still do this. Akeno, provide support for the others; everyone else, continue as planned."
"But what will you do, Rias?" Akeno asked.
"I will fight Riser myself," Rias simply replied.
"But Prez, how are you gonna beat him? He's immortal, isn't he?" Issei didn't sound convinced.
"Given the situation, Riser will have to throw out everything he has at us; as you all drawn them out, I'll assault Riser's position," Rias answered.
"A sound plan, but risky," Kiba responded.
"It is, but we have no choice. We have to make Riser retire no matter what," Rias said as everyone looked and nodded in agreement.
After going over the current situation, the four left the warehouse and made their way to the track field near the new school building.
"Now then everyone if you could please stand aside," Akeno said as they complied. "HA!"
A blast of thunder destroyed the door and left a trail of smoke with Akeno walking out to greet the remainder of Riser's pieces who were already on the field ahead of time.
"My, good morning, everyone. I hope you're all doing well," Akeno said with her trademark giggle but the threatening undertone was there.
"Impossible! Yubelluna should be fighting you?! Where is she?" Ravel was shocked that the Gremory Queen was standing before them as the rest of the Gremory Peerage appeared from the sports warehouse.
Summoning his Boosted Gear and doubling his power Issei replied, "She's getting her ass handed to her by Ryuichi!"
While Isabella and Karlamine stood by in silence herring of Ryuichi's current battle, the others were laughing loudly.
"What's so funny?" Kiba questioned.
"My, a Rook fighting our Queen, that's a forgone conclusion. Unfortunate I can't see his retirement in person but knowing that Yubelluna is torturing him right now is more than enough," Ravel replied.
"You are the knight of Rias Gremory, I challenge you! Face me now!" Karlamine declared.
"There you go again," Isabella muttered at her honorable display.
With a glint in his eye Kiba drew his Holy Eraser and replied, "Very well, I accept your challenge!"
The two knights then sped towards each other as they clashed with their speed sparks went flying seemingly everywhere as they dueled.
As the rest introduced themselves, Koneko took the chance and charged at Ravel, only to be meet by the pair of Neko twins and forced to retreat as the pair took the fight to the Gremory Rook.
Isabella charged at Issei as the latter was forced into close combat with the Phenex Rook. He could only hope his Boosts could get him through this fight.
Akeno took to the sky once more providing support as she could, but with everyone fighting so close to their opponents, she feared attacking her friends, but she had to do something.
Kiba felt excited. Despite his bouts with Ryuichi and Issei, he had been hoping to battle a fellow knight and to meet one like Karlamine. Both warriors were just as excited to face the other as they clashed blades.
"You are better than what Lord Riser says. I guess ten days can make a difference," Karlamine commented.
"Yes, facing off against my friends allowed me to get back to the basics and work on my own problems," Kiba replied.
Both were sweating and panting, despite their speed being natural it did do a number on their bodies. As their duel continued, both exchanging blows with Karlamine's blazing sword and Kiba's Holy Eraser.
The blonde then delivered a horizontal slash to be dodged by the brunette and she retaliated with a downward swing. Kiba blocked the blow and countered with an upward swing.
The blonde's swing had nicked her torso and a small cut was noticeable on her clothes with little blood.
Deciding to up her speed she charged the Gremory knight as he did the same. The two barely moving to the average eye of anyone else. The two clashed once more, as Kiba took a second to look at his friends fighting the other Phenex servants.
"Worried for your friends? How noble," Karlamine said.
"Thank you. You also seem to be the honorable type. But I have a reason to win today, so don't expect any mercy," Kiba replied.
"I like warriors like you and Ryuichi. You are both fight true and straightforwardly. But…"
With some force to the sword, she broke Kiba's Holy Eraser to bits.
"You will lose this day," Karlamine declared.
Kiba backed off and got some space, "That makes two of us," Then using his hilt he summoned a new blade, this one made of ice.
"So that's Sword Birth, but I wonder what shall last longer? Your swords or my fire?" Karlamine asked.
"We'll just have to put it to the test," Kiba replied in kind. The two knights engaged in combat again.
For Koneko it was not fun, bad enough she was outnumbered they were using that to fight her. Their sugar rush mode was getting on her nerves.
"What are you doing, nya?"
"This can't be your full power, nya?"
"Shut up…" Not only their power, but when their speech was getting on her nerves it did nothing but bring up bad memories and of her…
Koneko tried to deliver a series of jabs only for the twins to dodge them easily with their speed and energy. Their cat-like movements made it hard to land a hit and with two of them she had the problem of defense as well.
But she couldn't think about that as one of the twins, Ni then sent her flying with a kick. Before she could hit the ground, Akeno caught her underclassmen and put her safely on the ground.
Even if she were a Rook she could only take so much punishment. Wiping off some blood on her mouth she was ready to get back in the fight.
Ravel looked on at the current events she didn't foresee that the other Rook would delay Yubelluna, but it wasn't an issue. Even if Yubelluna was taking her time with that Rook she would be back in time to…
[L-Lord Riser's Queen has retired]. The announcement seemed to stop everyone. They all couldn't believe what they had heard.
"What?!" The twins yelled in unison. Not only were they shocked but all the members of Riser's peerage were in a state of surprise at the announcement that Yubelluna had been defeated.
"Yeah, just like I said. I have to match Ryuichi's resolve," Issei said. "He's counting on us. Alright, Red Dragon Emperor. If you can hear my call then give me more power!"
Kicking Isabella away he activated his gauntlet again only this time it seemed to evolve further.
[DRAGON BOOSTER SECOND LIBERATION!]
A new surge of power flowed through Issei as the gauntlet on his arm evolved further to nearly encompass half his arm. Knowing his powers were on a timer he yelled to his fellow devil Kiba.
"Kiba, use your Sacred Gear with all you've got!" Issei yelled to his compatriot.
"You got it! Sword Birth!" With that Kiba dig his sword into the ground as it left a trail of blue energy going towards Issei who collected magical power in the gem in his gauntlet.
[TRANSFER!]
Releasing all the pent-up power, hundreds more swords than what Kiba could make appeared out of the ground. Akeno and Koneko had taken to the sky earlier to dodge to sea of swords. Unfortunately for the Phenex pieces, they were too slow and many of them were caught in the blades and pierced.
Mihae, Ni and Li were the first three to go. Ravel was in the area, but unfortunately escaped.
Isabella and Karlamine were also caught in the blades and began to lose consciousness.
"Unbelievable, to lose in such a way," Isabella said. "Ryuichi, I hope you win. Show him that power I saw you wield that night."
"To think they had such power," Karlamine said. "Ryuichi, please be victorious. I will live up to my debt one day."
[Lord Riser 2 Pawns, 1 Bishop, 1 Rook and 1 Knight are retired]. Grayfia announced.
Issei then fell over in exhaustion after using up so much power in one move left him tired but he found the strength to stand as the others joined him. Congratulating his move, they stopped when they heard wings flapping in the distance they looked to see Ryuichi flying towards them and his current condition.
Back to Ryuichi…
Panting just as I say the field of swords near the track I immediately deduced that Issei had evolved his Boosted Gear again to its Second Liberation stage. Everyone seemed fine but not without some scratches and bruises to them. But all in all okay.
"Ryuichi, dude! We heard the call you took out that Queen?" Issei immediately questioned me as he got in my face.
"Yeah, took some effort but she's gone, and she had a nasty little present in the form of Phenex Tears with her, but she won't be using those ever. I wanted them for myself, but I destroyed the vial during the fight," I explained my bout with Yubelluna.
I continued to explain the details of my fight and all of them were astounded when they heard how I had finished her. Two in particular were Akeno and Koneko.
"You 'bombed' her into the ground? While coated in that Lighting veil you learned at training? What a shocking development, you must show me next time!" I could hear the sultriness of her voice.
Okay, I may just need to learn to sleep with both my eyes open and with Excalibur in my bed.
"You power bombed her? That sounds rough," Koneko said
"Yeah and to break her bones too. That move must have some force as well." Kiba said congratulating me. "The Queen piece is known for their defense being higher than Rooks, so I'm impressed."
I sheepishly scratched the back of my head, but our celebration is cut short by large explosion.
BOOM! BOOM!
We look to the direction of said explosion to look at the roof of the new school building to see Rias and Riser matching blows.
"Guys, we don't have much left and my communicator is fried. I have to plan to end this, but I need all of your help to do it. Can you guys trust me?" I asked them as I looked to each of them as I spoke.
They all saw my serious look and nodded in agreement. I began to explain my plan to them.
"Alright, for now, I need you guys standing by. After my initial assault on Riser, you guys need to pin him down as long as you can,. I need to talk to Rias first, but we need him weakened, so Kiba, I need you to make some Ice swords for Koneko and Issei. After he's melted the ice he'll naturally be covered in water."
I then looked over towards Akeno.
"Akeno, you come in with your lightning magic. For the one time I'll ask this. Go full force, and hold nothing back. Be as sadistic as you want on Riser for today," I told the Queen.
Her trademark giggle was now louder as she then start to more or less laugh now as she replied, "You have no idea how much I've wanted to hear those words in my life. I'll live up to it don't worry." She finished as she licked her lips in anticipation.
"Alright you guys, this game ends now and with us winning! So…" I then turn towards the schoolhouse and pointed the Invisible Air towards the roof.
"…Let's end this!" I said as they flew off to take their positions.
Rias and Riser had been fighting for a good long while now. Riser had been surprised at her endurance. The girl wasn't being called the Crimson Empress of Annihilation for nothing he supposed, but it didn't matter now.
Well at least in the beginning…
Now though he was pissed…
Nearly all of his pieces had been defeated, and the one left was his little sister, who knew little in the ways of combat was all he had left.
Now Rias stood in front of Riser in defiance. Now she seemed proud of herself and confident after hearing Yubelluna's defeat and then afterwards the rest of Riser's peerage were defeated sans Ravel.
Rias then defended herself against a large fire blast as the smoke cleared. Asia healed what injuries she had.
"Rias, you have made a mockery of me. I will not stand for this!" Riser's anger was now more evident than ever before with brow furrowed in heated rage.
"Rias, are you okay?" Asia said worried for her King.
"I'll be fine Asia; I'll beat him and win!" Rias declared. Even though she felt better about their chances but the difference in power was still evident. If not for Asia she probably would be struggling.
"I have had enough of this childish rebellion of yours! Not only will I make you bow to me, but I shall also destroy every single one of your servants. Do not think I was joking back then!" Riser's anger was now apparent in his flames.
Riser now sent a large torrential blast of lame toward Rias. The Gremory king was more than ready to force her Bishop to retire to protect her and take the blast.
"Then think again, you coward!"
The flames died as a shield of lighting appeared in front of both girls. The girls then looked to see me delivering a roundhouse kick to Riser's face as his body was covered in a coat of lighting magic.
"Mana Burst!"
What happened next was amazing to Rias as I charged the Phenex heir and began to deliver a number of quick slashes to his body with the Invisible Air. At one point, I stuck the sword in Riser's chest and began to deliver a torrent of punches and kicks to which he then removed the blade and in blue hue, a large blast of wind sent Riser flying into the track field below them, and into the sea of swords.
"Is that Ryuichi?" Asia's amazed voice brought Rias out of her stupor as she could only nod in response.
Riser then rose from the crater in the field and the shards of the swords that had been lodged in him were now gone and healed.
"Hah! An impressive effort, but all for nothing!" Riser boasted.
"I wouldn't be so sure. Guys, now!" With my announcement, everyone else appeared from their hiding places and began to barrage Riser with their attacks.
Koneko and Issei were slashing at Riser's joints with their ice swords, Kiba using his Flame Delete to slow Riser's flames and getting some hits in as well. But just as Riser would met the lightning from the Priestess of Thunder.
"GAGAHGAHGAHGAH!" Was all Riser could manage as electricity flowed through his whole body. Immortal may be physically but even then; an enemy has their weaknesses.
As I watched on with glee at the scene of Riser being tortured by my friends I heard wings flapping to see Rias and Asia land beside me. Holes in their clothes probably from the fire attacks.
"I don't know what to do with you. Should I be angry or happy?" Rias asked me.
"You have every right to be both after this. But for now, are you both okay?" I replied turning my attention to them.
"Y-yes, were just fine now thanks to you," Asia said.
"We were in a corner until you showed up, Rias said but her face showed she wanted to say more and that she did. "Ryuichi, why do you keep putting yourself in danger and fight alone? Why do you keep disobeying me?"
"Because of the same reason as you have," I began to answer. "There are people I have to fight for now and you all are included in that. You most especially. What other reason could I need to fight?"
"T-then maybe you could've at least trusted me to face Riser alone. You can owe me that much," She turned away from me and she to have… a blush on her face?
"Maybe but look at the others now. They are fighting for you, after everything you've done for all of them. They are fighting to help you earn your freedom from this SOB. We all cherish… I cherish you. But to see you hurt yourself in the process hurts us too,"
"I-I…" She couldn't find the words to speak so I continued.
"Just remember: one aspect of being a king is to not rely just on yourself, but those around you who are willing to fight for you and your ideals and goals."
As soon as she lifts her head, it's still a bit saddening, but I can see her face and ears are red and she has some tears forming in her eyes.
Is this… the Rias I knew in my world? The one who was willing to pounce on Issei naked just to flirt with him. No… it's all changed now. I have to move forward and not look back.
"I… I guess I let my pride get the best of me. Perhaps you're right, I wanted nothing more than to beat Riser myself and prove I could do it, but I was blinded by my pride to think I couldn't be overmatched," Rias says apologetically.
As we were talking, Riser had broken through our formation with sheer force of will and in a rounding burst of flame and knocked back everyone to our position.
"ENOGUH OF THIS MOCKERY! I am a proud Phenex I will not be defeated by mere low-born scum!" Riser raged at us.
I could let out a chuckle as I drew out the Invisible Air and pointed it at him, "Hah, please. This is our first Rating Game and right now you're about to be the laughingstock of the century."
"You… You…. I will obliterate you so nothing of your pathetic body will be left to collect. Not even the ashes!" Riser raged even more.
"This is where you fall, Riser Phenex! And let me show you… the true power of a king!" Suddenly to everyone Ryuichi's voice changed to one they didn't recognize. It was slightly more high-pitched, but the difference was there.
In the Spectator Room…
A certain woman was watching the game. She had looked on in interest as it had gone along. But her eyes were now drawn to a certain piece a Rook of Rias Gremory…
The one who wields this mysterious sword of "invisible wind".
This feeling… it was familiar, and yet, it was different than what she remembered…
"This is where you fall Riser Phenex and let me show you… the true power of a king." She froze as she heard the voice speak. The drink she had in her hands shook as she now watched in rapt attention…
Back in the Arena…
"Ryuichi" held the Invisible Air in his hands to face him as he began to chant out loud for all to hear:
"Sheathed in the breath of the planet."
"A torrent of shining life is born."
Riser couldn't help but feel the boy was mocking him as he stood before him defenseless… this weird chant, no matter what it was, would not be enough. Now was the time to make good on his word.
"I will incinerate you here, boy!" Riser then began to drat massive amount of magical energy to him as he began charging up for his own attack.
"Eternal…" Riser said to himself.
Back with "Ryuichi", the Invisible Air began to glow a golden hue and then a bright light began to shine…
"This light shows the will of humanity."
"The power of that which holds no limits."
"Phenex…" Riser gather even more energy.
The golden light now dissipated and in its place lay a golden sword in Ryuichi's hands. A golden bastard sword in his hands now, its majestic appearance blinding everyone for a few seconds.
"This light is the hope of the world."
"That life illuminates around the earth!"
"Ryuichi" then raised the blade to his head as it unleashed a massive blade of light, "Ex…"
"FLAME!" Riser then fired his largest blast of flame ever as he unleashed his ultimate attack at Ryuichi with everyone else flying away to safety as quick as they could.
" – CALIBURRR!"
Just as Riser unleashed his ultimate attack as did "Ryuichi" as the two blasts collided and seemed to be evenly matched for a moment. Until…
Ryuichi's golden blast began to gain ground. Riser could only look on in horror as he tried to hold his ground but still found himself being pushed back.
"Y-You, do you understand what you're doing this is for the sake of all devils. You will ruin us all!" Riser's desperation could be heard to all as he now struggled to keep standing.
"I don't care! I made a promise to that girl and I will free her and that means you lose! HAH!"
With one last effort from "Ryuichi", the blast overtook the firestorm and Riser was sent flying back until the beam was launched upwards to the sky creating a tower of beautiful yellow light as sparkles began to rain from the sky.
Rias and her peerage could only look on in shock as they saw the collision and then the tower of light. But what really caught their attention was what Ryuichi announced before, was it true?
Did Ryuichi really just use the power of the greatest holy weapon in existence? The great sword, Excalibur?
Their thoughts were drawn away as the tower of light then dissipating as they all flew back to see their friend standing in place and the sword then disappearing in his hands.
"R-Ryuichi?' Rias called out to her Rook slowly and softly.
He then slowly turned to face his friends and simply replied, "I told you I would keep my promise, didn't I?"
His friends then smiled as they made their way to him but just as he took one step Ryuichi began to double over as Kiba and Issei caught in their arms.
They then looked to the sky to hear something falling and saw it was Riser's body as he then hit the ground hard leaving a small hole in the ground. His body was steaming and covered in scorch marks. Parts of his body looked roasted as his skin was darker in areas.
One fried up chicken he was.
[L-Lord Riser has been defeated and forced to retire. The winner of the game is Lady Rias Gremory.] Grayfia announced to the great delight of the ORC team.
But in another place…
Spectator Room, Just a few moments ago…
This "Ryuichi" held the Invisible Air in his hands to face him as he began to chant out loud for all to hear:

After hearing those words the woman then dropped her glass, making it shatter to the ground into pieces and spilling the contents, as a man beside her caught her from falling to the floor.
She could be heard whispering, "Arthur… you're alive."
The man that caught her heard her words and turned back to look at the screen to see Ryuichi. His expression was difficult to discern but it seemed like he felt… overjoyed?
"My old friend…" He said to himself.

(And we'll stand, hand in hand, till the end!) – (The two then reach out to each other join hands as they look to the sunrise in front of them.)
(As my body's shaking, the future is out there waiting) – (The scene then cuts to the ORC as they are once more in the clubroom but this time Ryuichi looks out the window a look of worry on his face.)
(For me to grasp the light, that's trembling just like my hand) – (Ryuichi is then alone again as tensely holds his fist as the invisible air begins to manifest.)
(I gotta keep it safe from fading that's all I want) – (His gaze then turns to Rias as he then begins to cry once more. Rias too in her office once more can't help but think of Riser's flames as Ryuichi is nowhere to be seen.)
(The subtle scent of midnight - [I spent all thirty nights]) – (The scene then turns to Ryuichi's apartment as he and Rias are laid out in an intimate position on the bed. Just as the two are about to begin until Ryuichi stops Rias and looks her in the eye.)
(I glare up at the stars - [Staring into the sky]) – (The two then look each other in the eyes as the other has tears in their eyes. Until they both get up and look out to the half-moon outside together.)
(The path I see before me I know only I can change it) – (The two then look back at each other until they share their first passionate kiss together.)
(That's all that I need) – (The scene then darkens as the music picks up.)
(Finally, you've given me, a reason to be strong) – (The scene then changes to when the two in a loving embrace as the sun rises to show the two in their Kuoh Academy uniforms.)

Kiba and Ryuichi clash with Riser's knights. Akeno then electrocutes both of Riser's bishops with Ravel escaping before Akeno engages with Yubelluna. This just leaves Rias to face Riser alone with only Asia to support her.)
(So to your name, I'll fight through the pain) – (As Riser is about to unleash another large blast of his Phenex flame, a figure rushes toward Rias' defense as its shown to be Ryuichi who appears later with Excalibur dug in the ground. Although singed he still stands up, the blade glowing a yellow white light.)
(This world can beat me down a hundred times but into the light I'll always rise) – (Ryuichi and Riser then engage in single combat with the two devils fighting evenly in three quick time images until Ryuichi falls back towards Rias, the redhead by his side to check on him.)
(A lotus flower so pure, right up to the end) – (As Riser smirks in what seems to be victory he begins charging another attack for Ryuichi to then hold Excalibur high in the air at the same time as the sword begins to glow with a golden hue. Rias then joins Ryuichi as she adds her power to the blade changing its color from yellow to crimson red.)
(Until it blooms, a bright red) – (The two then unleash their greatest attacks as the two clash it causes a massive explosion when in the next Excalibur stuck in the ground with Riser's jacket flowing in the wind on its blade.)

Important news on the harems after hearing many comments on the size of Ryuichi's harem for the sake of story time and organization. I will splitting the girls into two different groups.
