"Thank you so much. Have a great day." Purvi says as she stood up and grab the briefcase from the table. Purvi walk out of the building with Anaya and take a deep breath.
"Now you are going to be a free bird." Anaya says catching her attention. Purvi nodded with a small smile before they walk toward her car to drive back to the apartment.
"Hello?" Purvi answer a call as they were on their way to the apartment.
"Ms. Mathur, I am calling from Verma Industries and I would like to remind you that the due date of the contract you sign with Mr. Verma is going to end soon. Mr. Verma wants to know if you like some more time to get debt or you agree to his conditions?" A voice asked. Purvi look out of the window with a sigh.
"Inform Mr. Verma, we will have meeting about it tomorrow morning. Thank you for calling." Purvi says as politely as she could and hung up.
"Whose call was that?" Anaya asked her with a frown. Purvi look at and shrugged.
"It was from Mr. Verma office. He wants to know if I want some more time or do I agree to marry his son. He think I am an idiot to think if he would give me more time." Purvi says and rolled her eyes at Mr. Verma thinking. Anaya nodded but didn't say anything.
"What is he doing here at this time?" Purvi heard Anaya mumbling as she pulled in her reserved parking spot. Purvi follow Anaya sight and swallow slighlty as she saw Kavin leaning against his car that he parked beside Anaya parking spot.
"Hey Idiot. What are you doing here at this time?" Anaya asked as soon as both friends step out of the car. Kavin look over and saw Purvi and Anaya. He rolled his eyes at Anaya question.
"I have some important work to finish. Why don't you go upstairs at you apartment? You boyfriend is waiting for at by the elevator." Kavin says and look at Purvi. She could feel his gaze on her but didn't look up at him. Anaya quickly lock the car after Purvi grabbed the bag. Purvi walked passed him but stop when something grip on her wrist.
"Anaya, take the bag with you." Kavin says and saw as Anaya take the bag from Purvi and walk toward the elevator. Kavin follow Purvi gaze and saw her looking at Anaya boyfriend whose back was toward her.
"We have to talk." Kavin says and pulled her toward the passenger seat of his car.Purvi didn't protest and let him do what he wants. Purvi saw as he jogged around the car and take his place behind the wheels.
Purvi sigh silently as she leaned against the closed window and close her eyes thinking about the everything. After that night, when Kavin carried her back in the apartment which was 2 days ago, they didn't get a chance to talk. When she woke up it was already sunrise and as far as she know him, she knew that he wouldn't stay there.
It is not that she was happy not to find him near her that time, she was just kind of relief because she don't know how to react after he saw her crying a night before. Purvi did admit to herself that seeing him there that night, make her realise her love for him but she is not going accpect it in front of him. Not yet at least. Purvi thoughts were broken when she heard a ring and saw as Kavin look down at his phone before looking up at the road. He press the answer and put it on speaker.
"Hello" Kavin says when he didn't hear anything from the other side.
"Seriously man, if you didn't say anything than I would track your number and put you behind the bars." Kavin threaten knowing it is the only way to get answer from the person on the other side but was surprised when still no one says anything and cut the call.
"Idiot." Kavin mumble under his breath and put his phone on the dash board.
"Whose number was that?" Purvi asked softly but confused. Kavin glance at her before looking back at the road.
"No one." Kavin says as he park his park. Purvi look out of the windshield and saw the board of Hanging Garden Parking.
"Lets go." Kavin says and they both step out of the car. Kavin lock his car and put his hands in his pockets as they both started to walk toward the entrance.
"What you want to talk about?" Purvi asked trying to break the awkward silence in between them even though she knew exactly. They slowly walk around the grassy ground before sitting on a bench in front of small lake.
"You know what I want to talk about Purvi." Kavin says staring at the water in front of him. Purvi look at him before tearing her eyes off him.
"I got the insurance money today and I know your deadline ends yesterday but I want to repay you now. Just tell me the account number and I will transfer it to you." Purvi says and could feel his gaze on her but didn't look at him.
"You still think that I want you to repay after what I heard and saw that night?" Kavin says in disbelief but Purvi didn't say anything.
"Ms. Purvi Mathur, I have never seen a stubborn woman like you in my entire life. I helped you because I care about you not because I feel pity for you. I don't know, how I make you understand that I didn't need anything but you in my life." Kavin says and saw as she slowly looked toward him.
He could see her controlling her emotions as her eyes glisten with water. Kavin eyes fall on the space in between them and saw Purvi resting her left hand there. He slowly forward his hand and gently grabbed hers before lacing his fingers with hers.
"I just want you to be my side all the time. I just want to be happy in my life with you. I just want you to give me a chance to make you realise that you are worthy to me as much as I am worthy to you. I just want to make you realise that you deserve me as much as I deserve. I just-" Kavin stops and look at Purvi when he heard a sniffle and saw a few tears escaped from her eyes.
"I just want to make you realise that you love me as much as I love you." Kavin says softly and give her a small smile. Purvi look at her hand that Kavin held then at him. Purvi gently squeeze his hand.
"I realise my love for you that night when you let me cry on your shoulder and carried me back in my room. I am just afraid that my messed up life will effect your perfect life. I don't want to see you in trouble because of me. If something happen then I wouldn't be able to forgive myself." Purvi whisper but says loud enough for him to hear it. Kavin take a deep breath before raising his hands to put it on her face. He smile slightly as he saw her again leaning in his hands. His thumb gently rubbed her rosy cheeks.
"My life is not perfect either Purvi. If someone have to be afraid then it should be me because the profession I chose isn't good for relationship because I don't know when I have to go on missions or whether I will be able to came back home when I leave for my work." Kavin told her and smile softly when he saw worries in her eyes at the mentioning of missions and not knowing if something happen to him during his duty.
"As far as messed up life, mine is messed up as well. You just don't know about it yet but if you agree to give me a chance then you will know how actually messed up it is." Kavin says with a playful sigh and shake his head making her chuckle lightly. Purvi close her eyes and nodded slowly.
"Okay but promise me something." Purvi says opening her eyes and saw him frowned in confusion but nodded.
"Promise me, no matter what, you won't lie to me, ever. I can bare anything but lying no." Purvi says and see his reaction. Kavin swallow and nodded.
"I promise I won't lie about anything." Kavin says and a small smile came on his face as he saw Purvi nodding with a smile as well. Kavin leaned forward and press a soft kiss on her forehead. Purvi sigh silently and close the distance in between them to hug him.

"Mr. Verma, it is good to see you again." Purvi says cheerfully as Mr. Verma enter in her meeting room.
"Likewise, Ms. Mathur." Mr. Verma says as he and his lawyer take their seats. Purvi give him a smile and grabbed the file from her assistant, Nikita.
"Shall we start the meeting?" Purvi asked as she pass the file to her lawyer. Mr. Verma nodded narrowing his eyes at her calm behaviour. Purvi leaned back and listen as her lawyer discuss the closing clause of the contract.
"That's all of this contact and it comes to an end. My client has all the money that she owned you Mr. Verma." The lawyer says and look at his client. Purvi nodded at Nikita and saw as she leave the room to get money. Purvi give a smile as Mr. Verma when he look at her in surprise and leaned forward to put her hands on the table.
"What? Don't tell me, you think that I wouldn't be able to pay off the money. Mr. Verma you know Rajan Mathur very well and don't ever forget that I am his daughter. Maybe not my blood but he raised me up and that is the reason, I wouldn't let anyone, not even his wife, to spoil his reputation that he build for years." Purvi says calmly but Mr. Verma could see the burning fire in her eyes.
Nikita came back in the room with bag. Purvi lawyer grabbed it and put it on table before opening the zipper to let everyone see the cash. Mr. Verma and his lawyer look at each other the at money in front of them.
"You can count it. I can sit here all day for that." Purvi says with a smirk and leaned back on her chair again. Purvi saw as Mr. Verma lawyer swallow loudly and raise on his feet. He take a look of everyone in the room before he starts counting.
"Okay, that's enough." Mr. Verma says after half an hour of counting. His lawyer sigh heavily and take his seat again.
"Sign here for closing the contract." Purvi lawyer says giving Mr. Verma the file and pen. He take it from the lawyer and do his signature at the bottom before giving it back. Mr. Verma lawyer zip the bag up and stand up with everyone else.
"It is officially over Mr. Verma." Purvi says give a smile and chuckle lightly as Mr. Verma leave the room without even replying. Purvi nodded in thanks at her lawyer and then nodded at her assistant.
"Ma'am, Mrs. Mathur is waiting for you in your office." Nikita informed her. Purvi nodded and they all leave the meeting room to go upstairs in her office. They step out of elevator and walk toward her office.
"Good morning, Mrs. Mathur." Purvi says as she take the seat behind her desk. Madhu look at her then at the people who came after her.
"Cut it out, Purvi. Tell me where you get the money to pay off the debt?" Madhu asked her not trying to be polite in front of her lawyer her assistant.
"I worked for it." Purvi shrugged and grabbed the file from the desk before opening it.
"You seriously work for it? What you think I am? An idiot? I know no matter what, you wouldn't get all that money in 15 days from working." Madhu says and laugh at Purvi. Purvi leaned back on her chair and nodded slowly.
"Just like I thought. You were actually behind all this weren't you? I already knew but I didn't believe it thinking that maybe you are not, but as always, I was wrong about you." Purvi says with a disappointed look. She knew that it wasn't all Mr. Verma since Madhu confession that day.
"Yes, I was behind all that because I don't want you to come near this company or my house again, so I thought to get married to Mr. Verma's son and you know what? That agreement he showed you in that party, was also fake." Madhu told her and smirk evilly but it faded away when she saw Purvi looking at her blankly.
"You really think that I would believe that Dad signed that type of agreement with someone? Mrs. Mathur, I would like you remind you as well that I am raised by Rajan Mathur. He may be looked like innocent who don't understand anything but he was smart." Purvi inform her and grabbed the file that Nikita hold out for her before she takes a few steps back. Purvi throw it in front of Madhu.
"This is the real agreement that was sign between Dad and Mr. Verma." Purvi says as Madhu open the file. Purvi smile as she remember how she saw the file in Rajan locker.
"H-how..." Madhu trailed off as she turn the pages. Purvi laugh and leaned forward putting her hands on the table.
"How? Well, I saw this file when I open Dad locker in search of some documents. You can keep it if you want but I would like to inform you that this is not the original file. It is just a copy. The original file is hidden away somewhere." Purvi says and smile at Madhu angry look. Madhu close the file and take out some papers from her bag.
"Just sign these papers and get out of here." Madhu says and slammed the papers in front of her. Purvi look at the papers and then at Madhu.
"I am not signing it." Purvi told her and saw Madhu standing up from her chair.
"You said you will transfer everything to me." Madhu yelled as she glare at Purvi. Purvi shrugged and leaned back with as smile.
"I changed my mind. I will not give you anything and I won't resign from my position either, Mrs. Mathur. And if you try to do anything to harm me then you will be the one going to jail because everything you said that day was recorded on my phone." Purvi says and grabbed her phone to play the recording that was recorded accidently. Purvi remember cutting the phone call when she was talking to Anaya but didn't see where she accidently click.
"So now, either you go to jail or just go to the house that used to be home. Choice is yours Mrs. Mathur, because I wouldn't give this company to someone who betray my Dad by making his fake agreement and spending his money on casinos. Every month you will get 15 percent from the monthly business and not expect to get more by blackmailing anyone in this company. As far your visit here, this is the court order for you to stay away from this company and from me." Purvi told her calmly and Madhu look at her in disbelieve. Purvi nodded at her lawyer saw as he give the court restrictions order to Madhu.
"Now, you may leave, Mrs. Mathur or do I need to call security to walk you out?" Madhu glared at Purvi and left from there. Purvi sigh heavily and look when she heard her phone ringing. She smile slightly at the caller ID before rejecting the call to message to the person.
"Nikita." Purvi call her assistant forward and look at her lawyer. He take out a file from his bag and give it to Purvi.
"Yes, Ma'am?" Nikita ask as she steps in front of Purvi desk. Purvi stood up and give her the file.
"This is for you." Purvi says and look as Nikita open it with a frown but was shocked when she read the content written on paper.
"Ma'am, this..." Nikita trailed off and look up at Purvi only to see her smiling.
"I know you think that you don't deserve this position and why would I give it to you but we both get to know each other very well in these few weeks. You know, I always wanted to be an event planner and manager and now I want to start up my own company and because of that I wouldn't be able to focus on this one. So, I am thinking to making you the new CEO of this company and I will take over the president position because it didn't require much work but only important things." Purvi told her with a smile and saw as Nikita look at her with watery eyes and nodded. Purvi found out that she was the actual owner and CEO of this company after Rajan. All the acting CEO was created by Madhu Mathur.
"I promise, I won't let you down." Nikita says confidently making Purvi nod.
"Now, we have to hold a ceremony to introduce you as the new CEO of this company." Purvi says and motion Nikita to give the file back to the lawyer.
"Send everyone the invitations and I will start planning the event." Purvi told Nikita to send the invitations. Purvi turn to her lawyer and inform him to bring the file at the event before she dismissed them for the day. As soon as Purvi sits on her chairs, her phone rings.
"You just can't wait, can you?" Purvi asked as soon as she pick up the call.
"I can't. Because I want to know the reason why my beautiful girlfriend wants me to hold on." Purvi blushed hearing the girlfriend and smile.
"I was finishing off some important work, that is why I want you to hold while I take care of it." Purvi told Kavin and heard him sighing.
"So, there are other important things in your life then me?" Kavin asked with a playful disappointed sigh making her chuckle lightly.
"Nope, you are more important for me. That was the second important thing." Purvi assured him even though she knew that he was just joking.
"Fine, I believe you. Anyways, I just call to inform you that get ready for the evening. We will be going on our first date ever." Kavin says. Purvi frown and look at her wrist watch.
"Just tell me the time and I will be all ready for you." Purvi says and open the another file.
"I will pick you up from the apartment at around 5:30 and wear something casual." Kavin told her. Purvi nodded and sign her name at the bottom before closing the file.
"Okay, I will. Now get back to your work and I will get back to mine." Purvi says looking at the pile of files that she ignore for almost two weeks.
"Okay but I have to tell you something important." Kavin says. Purvi frowned at the nervousness in his voice.
"Is everything okay?" Purvi asked him gently.
"Yeah. I just want to..." Kavin trailed off. "We will talk about it tonight. Take care, Love you." Kavin says and hurriedly hung up without even giving her a chance to say anything making Purvi frown deeper.

"Where are you going tonight?" Anaya asked as she saw Purvi walking in living room ready for her first ever date.
Purvi look down at her outfit. She was wearing a skinny blue jeans which was ripped around the knees. She pair it up with an off-white top and light dusty pink shrug. She was also wearing her sneakers and some accessories and had tied half of her in a small bun.
"Don't know yet. He didn't tell me the location." Purvi shrugged and freeze when she realise what she says. She didn't plan to tell Anaya about her date. She know about Purvi dating Kavin.
"Ahan... So you guys are going on date? Not bad." Anaya says teasingly. Purvi blush and look away from Anaya teasing eyes.
"We are just-" Purvi reply was cut it off by the door bell.
"I will be going now. Take care and don't wait up for me." Purvi says and quickly walk toward the front door. She speed up when she heard footsteps following her. Purvi quickly open the door and saw Kavin. She pushed him back before closing the door.
"What was that?" Kavin asked her as he look at her outfit and smile in appreciation. Purvi grabbed his hand and walk toward the elevator.
"Keep her safe." Purvi groaned when she heard Anaya yelling from the hallway as the step in the empty elevator. Purvi glared at her grinning friend as the elevator started to close.
"Sorry about her." Purvi apologize for Anaya behaviour even though it is common between Kavin and Anaya to tease and playfully insult each other.
"Don't be sorry. Honestly, I was too busy looking at you to actually hear what she says." Kavin told her honestly with a shrug.
Purvi look at him at his confession and her face heat up slightly when he give her a wink. Purvi rolled her eyes but not before taking a look of his outfit. Kavin was wearing a blue jeans with white shirt and denim jacket. He finish off his outfit with his black nike shoes. He gelled his usually messy hairs on the side giving him a clean look.
"You don't look bad as well." Purvi shrugged as she give him compliment making him laugh softly.
"So, where are we going?" Purvi asked as Kavin pulled on the main street. It was still slighy sunny outside.
"Snow World." Kavin says and glance at Purvi before looking back at the road.
"Are you serious?" Purvi asked him. Kavin nodded and look at her surprised when she squealed happily.
"It will be alot of fun. You are the best." Purvi says excitedly. Kavin smile and shake his head as Purvi goes on about having a great time and what she will be doing first.

"But I didn't wear a jacket to keep myself warm underneath those puffy jackets." Purvi complained as she look at her shrug. Kavin park the car and grab a bag from the back seat.
"I know you would complain that is why, I bring a jacket for you. It maybe be big on you because it is mine but I want you to wear it." Kavin says and take out a black leather jacket and give it to her. Purvi smile in thanks and take off her shrug before putting the jacket on.
"It looks good on you." Kavin says while Purvi nodded agreeing with him. They both step out of the car and walk toward the entrance holding hands.
"Two tickets please." Kavin says as he stops in front of picket counter. He paid for the tickets and grabbed the accessories including the skates from the man before walking back to Purvi who was staring at the snow through the glass.
"Here. Put it on." Kavin give her the puffy jacket, a beanie, gloves and boots. Purvi smile as she put it on.
"Lets go in." Purvi says as soon as she was done. She grabbed Kavin hand and dragged him in the snow world.
"I forgot how beautiful it looks." Purvi whisper as she look around. Kavin smile and put his one of his hand on her back.
"When was the last time you came here?" Kavin asked as they slowly move around the snow.
"When Dad was alive. He promise to bring me here after my graduation ceremony." Purvi told him. Kavin nodded and take her toward the ice skating rink. He stops in front of the rink and they both put it on. Kavin smirk when he saw her loosing her balance slighty.
"You know how to skate? Or do you want me to teach you?" Kavin asked with a mischievous glint in his eyes. Purvi look at him raising her eyebrow playfully at him before crossing her arms.
"And how are you going to teach me Mr. Kavin Ahuja?" Purvi asked with a smirk but it faded away when he steps closer to her.
"Holding you against me. Like this." Kavin whisper in her ear as he wrapped his arms around her back and pulled her close him. His small action takes her breath away and make her heart race. Purvi look up at his dark brown eyes and swallow at the love shining in it.
"Leave me. There are kids around us." Purvi whisper and sigh in relief when Kavin let her take a few steps back.
"This time, I let you go but next time, I won't, Ms. Purvi Mathur." Kavin winked and skate away making her face heat up with blush. She was thankful to the cold temperature that turned her face pink that it covered up her blush.
"Don't day dream about me. I am here right in front of you." Purvi shiver when she feel Kavin lips caressing her ear lobe as he whisper in her ear from behind. Purvi quickly turned and saw him already skating away from her.
Purvi takes a deep breath and slowly started to skate as well. Kavin was surprised but happy to see her do skate without any help and she was almost as good as him. After half an hour, Purvi decide to step out of the rink to explore more. Kavin followed her and they take off their skates before giving it to the helper walking around.
"Lets go, Snow Sliding." Purvi says and dragged Kavin toward the mountain of snow that was build in the corner. When they reach on top, Purvi grab the slide from the corner and put it on top of mountain before sitting on it. She look at Kavin when he didn't grab his slide and look at the mountain height with a nervousness look.
"Are you scared of snow sliding?" Purvi asked him with a mock surprised look. Kavin glare at her playfully and shake his head.
"No. I-I am just worry about you." Kavin says hiding the fact that he hates snow sliding.
"You don't have to admit that you are scared. Sit behind me. I will protect you." Purvi says teasingly but saw as Kavin nodded before sitting behind her. Purvi look over her shoulder only to see his eyes tightly close. She couldn't believe that a tough cop is scared of ice sledging. Purvi dragged the sledge toward the corner of the snow mountain and feel Kavin pressing himself close to her.
"Wait, can we count to 3?" Kavin asked suddenly making her nodded with a smirk.
"Okay. Count when you are ready." Purvi told him and wait for him to get ready. Purvi sigh as she saw her watch and saw it was already 10 minutes and still he didn't even start counting.
"Okay, I am ready." Kavin says and nodded confidently. Purvi nodded and grin as he takes a deep breath to start counting. "1, 2, and-" Kavin was cut it off when Purvi push forward without giving him a chance to complete counting. As they go down, Kavin scream while Purvi laugh at him.
"H-how was t-that?" Purvi asked as they try to catch their breaths.
"I-I hate you right now." Kavin says and takes a few deep breath to calm his racing heart making Purvi laugh again.
"I didn't know you mean to count before hand." Purvi laugh at Kavin glare. "Hey don't get tried. We have more things to do." Purvi says as she saw Kavin laying on snow with his eyes closed.
Kavin didn't say anything think it may make her worried but what came next was unexpected to him. He rubbed his face and sit up when he was hit by a snowball. He look at Purvi and saw her shooting another one at him. He quickly dodge it and hit her back with some snow and they start their playful snow fight. Kavin and Purvi smile as they saw some kids join their snow fight along with their parents.
"Don't mess with girls." A small girl yelled as the girls win the playful snow fight. Purvi laugh and hugged the little girl before telling her to go back to her parents.
"I can't stand with this cold anymore. Lets go somewhere else to eat." Purvi look when she heard Kavin. She nodded and they walk out of the snow world before giving back the accessories.

"It was so much fun." Purvi says as they wait for their order.
"Yeah, It was a good change from chasing the criminals." Kavin says making her frown. Kavin notice it and leaned forward to grab her hand that was resting on the table. "What's wrong?"
"Do you really chase the criminals all the time? I mean, if sometime you don't feel well, do you take off or still go to your duty?" Purvi couldn't help herself from asking it.
"We chase criminals when a case was given to me to handle. But as you asked about taking off or still going on duty when I feel sick. It depends. If there are other officers present then it would be okay to take off but if there wasn't much then I have to set my sickness aside and get back on my duty." Kavin told her with a shrug and give her a smile to make her worries goes away.
Purvi was about go reply him but was cut it off by the waiter as he place their pizza in front of the. Purvi stomach growl at the smell of steaming pizza and blush slightly when Kavin chuckle at her.

"Thank you for today. It was really a best date." Purvi says as Kavin pulled in the parking of apartment building.
"Yeah, it was indeed the best." Kavin says softly and turn off the engine. He turn to face her and was proud to see happiness in her eyes because of him.
"Anyways, you told me in morning that you have to tell me something important." Purvi says suddenly remembering what Kavin says on the call in morning.
"Y-yeah." Kavin face pale when he remember to tell her about his biggest secret. A secret that no one knows beside Anaya. Not even colleagues.
"Is everything okay? Your face is getting white." Purvi says worriedly. Kavin force out a smile and nodded.
"I-I am good. I just want to tell you a secret that no one knows." Kavin says seriously making Purvi serious as well.
"Okay." Purvi says and gently grab his hand before she started to rub it slowly to calm him.
"Promise me you will hear me out first before judging me, please." Kavin begged her making Purvi worried again.
"I promise. Just me tell." Purvi promised him. Kavin look at her and close his eyes before taking a deep breath.
"Mr. Verma is my father. Owner of Verma Industries."
Hello Everyone. So this is Chapter 10 and It was the longest chapter I have written in any of my story. Around 5560 words. So do let me know what you think about it in reviews.
About next chapter, I am not sure right now, but I will try to not to update late.
As for updating chapter 2 of Sweet Revenge, I am not sure if it will be update as I said. Because I haven't finish writing it and it may take a day or two but I will try to finish it as soon as possible.
