He tracked her down until her heat stopped moving. He heard her heartbeat as clear as day, and it was a dancing Rythem. His red eyes glowed in silent fury. She was being hunted and he knew by whom. Werewolf tracks covered the ground. Not Master either.
Count Catula's werehounds were hunting his bride.
snarling, the Nos Spiratun flew to the heat signature of the girl of his dreams, gunning down three ghouls and their hounds on his way. She was trapped, no where to run or hide, and in this rain too!
Takiing a deep breath, he stepped into the alley where a huddled form lay shivering, her cloak providing little shelter from the icy stormwater.
"I've found you at last."

Kairi jumped at the voice, her teeth chattering now with more than the cold. She pressed herself to the wall of the builkding and weakly pulled a silver pistol from her cloak.
She was helpless as the tall red eyed form came at her, her eyes trapped in its bestial stare. She couldn't move, the red eyes held her powerless. Before she could scream, warm lips were pressed onto hers, and warmth flowed in her body as she relaxed. She knew this touch.
"Sora!" She relaxed in his arms as he brushed her hair from her face, the touch of his hand reassuring and paralyzing, his voice like silk as he purred in her ear.
"I've waited forever for you, Kairi. Not a day goes by when I don't think about you. Not an hour goes past where you are not in my thoughts, at the back of my dying heart. Your fear reached me. Your terror tore at my core."
His words melted her, though she knew his power, his voice was like venom, rendering her into goo but she was not afraid. If anything, she was releived.
"I'm being hunted by the count, Sora. I pushed you away because I knew he would kill you. I love you, vampire or not. I don't want him to-"
Her words were stopped by his caress as he twirled her around and she landed in a dip. His eyes met hers and she was taken to bliss as he stroked her throat with his fingertips, cooing and easing her fears.
"Don't finish that thought. I could make sure the cat does not get his prized goose. All you have to do...is trust me."
His cape draped over them both as he brought his lips to her trembling, throbbing neck and his voice sent pleasant chills down her spine as he moved in closer to the vein that granted her life.
"We could be together forever you and I, Kairi. Not even the count could harm you then. All it would take is an instant of pain. just one second..."
His fangs brushed her skin slightly. Startled a little, she tensed and he backed off. She smiled as they danced beneith the moon, again she landed in a dip. Their eyes met again and even if he had not been using his hypnotic power, the girl would still be taken by his charm.
"Forever with you? As your queen?"
"Yes Kairi. Nothing would tear us apart. Not even the sun itself, nor stakes, nor even the fat count, would seperate us."
Her eyes sparkled, and they laughed and danced again. Her red locks highlighted like blood and his cape wooshing gracefully behind him.
She landed in a dip for the third time, and this time did not resist his aproach to her warm, tender throat. Rather she smiled in bliss and relaxed, completely at his mercy.
"One breif moment of pain? With you, Sora, that moment won't even exist."
The moon was the only witness to the sealing moment between two lovers that night, as Sora sank his fangs into the skin of his beloved, and in that moment, the Princess of Heart became a Queen.
The king threw his cape around his bride, and together they left the alley, and flew above the clouds until they were siluetted in the full moon. United forever, never to be torn apart not even by the count himself.
