Enjoy the Fic

The next morning Naruto woke up before Jiraiya, he had developed a habit of waking up early for his training.

He moved out of his room trying to be as discreet as possible, although Jiraiya would notice even if he moved discreetly. Jiraiya wasn't spymaster in the entire elemental nation for nothing, his art of infiltration exceeded even kage levels shinobi.

Naruto moved on toward the clearing in the forest near the inn they were staying in, he had to complete his morning training in bo-Jutsu and Taijutsu before they get on the search for Tsunade.

Unknown to Naruto, a blonde woman was passing by the forest. She was a fair-skinned woman with almond brown eyes and straight blonde hair that parts above her forehead. Her hair had shoulder-length bangs that framed her face and the rest reaches her lower-back. She kept it tied in two loose ponytails. The Strength of a Hundred seal, taking the appearance of a violet diamond shape, was clearly visible on her forehead.

She was wearing a grass-green haori with the kanji for "gamble" on the back, inside a red circle. Underneath she had a grey, kimono-style blouse with no sleeves, held closed by a broad, dark bluish-grey obi that matches her pants. Her blouse was closed quite low, revealing her sizeable cleavage. She also wore open-toed, strappy black sandals with high heels. She had red nail polish on both of her fingernails and toenails and a soft pink lipstick. She was wearing the Shodai's necklace.

Tsunade had grew into a slender woman of curvaceous frame with above-average height and noticeably large breasts. She is in fact widely regarded as the most beautiful kunoichi in the Elemental nation. By her fifties, she appears much older, being heavily wrinkled while rather frail-looking , presumably from over-usage of her Seal. However, Tsunade maintains her youthful appearance using a unique transformation technique. She took the appearance of her twenty year self, beautiful and graceful even in her old age.

Tsunade was just taking a stroll in the village, it had been a habit. She had nightmares of the day she lost Nawaki and Dan, it was gruesome. To divert her mind she took a walk around the village, enjoying the fresh air and silence of the morning.

Tsunade heard a distinctive noise coming out of forest, out of curiosity she moved toward the forest and reached the clearing Naruto was training in, to see what was happening. It was a mild shock for her to see a mop of sunburn yellow hair practicing with a Bo. The stances and guards were somewhat known to her, it was like she had half the pieces of a puzzle. She also had seen a similar mop of yellow hairs somewhere, she just can't put it where.

All these invoked Tsunade's curiosity, the boy was no older than 13-14 years of age, by looking at his body structure it was confirm that he was a ninja but he didn't wore a Hitaiate. Naruto had left his Hitaiate at the inn, as it bothered him while sleeping. Tsuande noticed that his movement with Bo was flawless, but still it wasn't all-perfect.

She didn't knew what got into her but her feets moved on their own toward the boy, Naruto sensing a movement behind him stopped his kata and turned around. Tsunade was entirely shocked now, the face of the boy was somewhat similar to a redhead apprentice of her. Naruto took a moment to comprehend the situation, the lady in front of him was beautiful. It wasn't like romantic beautiful, it was like motherly beautiful. The appearance of the lady matched that of his Godmother as described by Jiriaya, he guess proved to be true when he saw that necklace over her neck. He had read about that necklace, it was owned by the Shodai Hokage and was known to tame tailed beasts.

"Why are you looking toward me like that old lady?" asked Naruto a little mockingly, if all the ladies had same reaction after someone call them old as Anko, then it was going to be fun.

It took Tsuande a moment to register the question, as she was more focused on the face of Naruto. A tick mark appeared on her forehead instantly, "Hey! Watch your mouth Brat or I'm gonna pummel you back in the ground this instant"

"What can an old lady like you could do to me? You're too old granny, take rest or you would have back pain" said Naruto mockingly, in the heat of the moment Tsuande forgot that she had her transformation on and the brat could decipher her age.

"You little squirt! I am gonna beat you to the next week" Tsunade stated with anger clear in her voice.

Naruto understood he had hit the right spot, now it was time for his next move. "Wanna bet granny? We're gonna Spar here, and if I don't surprise you in first 5 minutes of the fight then you'll win" stated Naruto.

"What's the bet brat?" asked Tsunade boastfully. What can a brat like this do? He would be a elite Genin at his best, that isn't enough to surprise her, right?

"If I win you would fulfill two of my wish, And if you win then I would do the same" said Naruto.

"Deal brat, be ready to lose" In her anger and heat of moment, she didn't ponder much about the wishes that the brat could make her fulfill.

They both moved in the clearing, Tsuande didn't even deemed Naruto worthy enough to discard her Haori.

Naruto knew that his Taijutsu wasn't top notch yet, and his Godmother would crush him with a flick of her fingers. He uncovered his bo and took his basic stance, he was still learning to add ninjutsus to his bo, He was not able to do it perfectly or fluently.

Naruto readied his Bo and dashed toward her, he swinged his bo toward Tsunade's shoulder. Tsunade was a little amazed by the speed that the brat showed, and by the restrains on the boy muscle it wasn't his top speed. Nonetheless, She blocked it with just two of her fingers, he took the support of his bo to do a turnabout and swinged a kick toward back of Tsuande's head. She again blocked it with her elbow, the elbow was a little chakra infused that threw Naruto aback. The kicks had impressive strength in them, the boy sure had potential. He ran forward without a break, he plunged his bo in the ground and used it as a pole vault to jump up in the air.

He jumped forward with his Bo in hand, aiming direct at her head. Tsunade flicked the Bo with her fingers, that tipped the bo off as her hands were chakra infused. Her second hand was ready in a fist to meet the face of the insolent brat, Naruto knew that if her punch connected his face it would have marks for an entire week. He quickly substituted with his bo, the substitution was easy and smooth due to the Summoning seal on the Bo. Tsunade grabbed the bo and plunged it deep in soil beside her.

"You have lost your weapon brat, Do you still want to continue this fight?" asked Tsuande mockingly, she had only seen him practicing Taijutsu and bo-Jutsu. His Taijutsu was mid chunnin at most, while his bo-Jutsu was a little bit better than that.

"I haven't even started yet, Granny" Naruto said while smirking a little.

"Why you- Insolent brat" Tsunade said and moved toward him hastly. Her chakra infused legs caused a small crater behind her, from where she moved.

The distance between her and Naruto was covered in mere seconds, but Naruto had a habit of sparring with high level shinobis, even if they beat him easily. He quickly formed a T-shaped hand sign and two clones appeared at his each sides. The left one grabbed his arm and swinged him away, Tsunades punch landed on the clone and it went off in a puff of smoke. Naruto used the smoke as a distraction and signalled his clone, they both started making hand-seals in a fast motion.

The smoke cleared to show a confused Tsunade, the brat was able to use a Jonin level jutsu with just one hand-seal. But before she could contemplate more she saw the brat and his clone forming hand-seal at a speed too good for a genin, the brat was definitely not an ordinary Genin.

"Doton: Mud wave" shouted the real Naruto, while the clone also completed its hand-seals and yelled "Doton: Earth spikes".

The ground around the Tsunade formed waves in them, suddenly the waves erupted with spikes, The waves of Spikes. The waves of pointy sharp extensions traveled toward Tsunade, she was mildly shocked, how can a small brat like this is able to use such strong ninjutsus combination? Is it some kind of genjutsu?

"Kai" whispered Tsunade, no effect.

She infused chakra in her fist and punched the ground beneath, a medium-sized crater formed around her stopping the waves.

Naruto smirked again the waves were just a distraction, Naruto was standing with his hands in Boar seal. "Suiton: Water pellets" said Naruto and shot three water balls of the size of a volleyball from his mouth, "Raiton: Lightning Bolt" said the clone beside Naruto and slammed his hand on ground. The electric current travelled under the ground and joined the water bullets up in the air, forming a ball of water that has lighting infused with it

Tsunade was stunned now, the brat was able to use three of five elements and he also had as much chakra as an elite chunin. She had to do something, or else she would be electroducted. She quickly formed a hand-seal and said "Doton: Earth wall", a wall of rocks and mud formed in front of her. It stopped the water balls and dissipated electricity to the ground neutralizing it, Tsunade had mastered her elements throughout the years by practice, that's why her wall could easily diffuse a C-ranked ninjutsu combination.

Before Naruto could think about his next move, He was lifted up in the air by back of his shirt and turned around. He came face to face with an unimpressed Jiraiya, He just smiled his best to neutralize the situation.

"I just left you to train for an hour and you cause ruckus, didn't I instructed you to not use any ninjutsus while we are on the search?" asked Jiraiya.

"Well, She started this, I was just training around here. And besides it is a forest, no-one comes here Ero-Oji" stated Naruto.

"Don't call me by that name brat, or--"

"JIRAIYA?" questioned Tsunade from her place pointing toward him. Jiraiya had heard that melodious voice before, there's no asking about that. He turns around immediately and comes face to face with his childhood crush.

"TSUNADE? So, the rumour were true, you were here in the town. But why are you fighting with my brat?" Jiraiya asked confusingly.

"Hey! He was the one who started all this, and you're brat? Did you got married without telling or inviting me?" asked Tsunade cracking her knuckles.

"Oh hell no, He's my temporary apprentice and we'll my-- I mean our Godson" stated Jiraiya a little Hesistantly.

"Our godson? But-- Is he their-- I got a letter from the village, it said no one survived from the family" said Tsunade confusingly, Her eyes drifted to Naruto. Now she can finally add up the pieces, his hair and body structure matched Minato while his face and behavior were more inclined toward Kushina.

Tsunade walked toward Naruto, she had teached Kushina in medical-arts, she was also named as the Godmother of her son due to their bonding and closeness. She was also a family to Kushina, Kushina was Mito's grandniece, so they were distant cousins.

She knelled infront of Naruto to reach his eye level, she touched his face, Naruto had never been touched like a mother touches her child. Tsunade touch was same as a mother touching her child, and Naruto was unfamiliar with it, he stiffened for a moment. Tsunade was observing his facial structure and health, Naruto wasn't lean or weak, he was healthy. That was a good sign or else Sarutobi and Jiraiya would incure the wrath of Tsuande, she ruffled his hair and stood up.

"But Sensei never send such a message, I was present there and can vouch for him" Jiriaya clarified.

"But even you didn't told me about him, isn't he my godson too? You could have atleast searched for me, I would have raised him. You knew Kushina was like a small sister to me, that I never had. I didn't certainly expected this, specially from you Jiraiya" Tsuande said disappointedly, it was the news of Kushina and Minato's death that put the last nail in the coffin of her distain for the village.

"Sarutobi sensei wanted to keep the boy safe, you would have protected him and no one would have dared to touch him. But still it would have put a bounty on his head, even my guardianship is kept a secret, only known to sensei and a few trusted" Jiraiya explained Tsuande.

Tsunade nodded her head, the reasons would keep her calm for the moment.

"So Granny, Did I surprised you? Will you fulfill my two wishes?" asked Naruto.

"Well, Yeah you surprised me brat. It's no surprise you're this good, my teammate is an idiot but stil a good sensei. What do you want from me brat?" asked Tsuande

"Can you fulfill my wishes too?" asked Jiraiya in a lecherous tone.

"At least, Don't embarrass yourself Infront of your student Jiriaya" said Tsuande in a threatening tone.

Jiraiya quickly shut his mouth and started to whistle innocently.

"Hey! I am not his student, we were traveling together to find you" argued Naruto.

"Then who taught you? You would need a good sensei to perform such ninjutsus combination, Some lowly jonin or Chunin couldn't perfectly teach you this" Tsunade argued back.

"No, I was trained by Sandaime Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi. He started to train me when I was 5 years old, I have learnt all this combination from him" said Naruto proudly, he wouldn't tell anybody else about his training but Tsunade was family, she ought to know all about this.

Tsunade was again surprised, her Sensei never took another team after them. It was widely known that the hokage had chose his team himself, and had trained them proficiently.

It was widely regarded that he wouldn't take another team or single apprentice, but he did took an apprentice in the from of this blonde brat.

"Well, the first wish would be that you return to the village with me and we will see about the second when right time comes" Naruto said expectedly.

"Returning to that damn place? Never, it would never happen. You don't know what that hellhole put me through, I will never return to that damn place" stated Tsunade in a neutral tone.

This was what Jiriaya feared, Tsunade would never return to the village after it took her love, brother and her cousin away. Tsunade's luck was always against her, she had always lost the one she cared for most.

"I can understand your feelings Baa-chan, my parents too sacrificed their lives for the safety of the village. The villagers always ignored me, only a few number of people accepted me or treated me well. Still its our village, a place that was entrusted to us by our previous generation, we should always protect it" said Naruto in a firm manner, the seriousness of words was clear on his face.

It was uncommon to see such determination in a child for protecting its village, even if the people inside it ignored or hated him.

"What do you want to become Naruto?" Tsunade asked taking his name for the first time.

"I want to become Hokage, the best Hokage" stated Naruto in a matter of fact way.

"And why do you want to become Hokage?" Tsunade asked again.

"Because I want to protect it, Jiji says that the village is a family and Hokage is its root. A Hokage holds the village together and protect it, I want to protect everyone" explained Naruto.

Tsunade could see images of Dan and Nawaki beside the face of Naruto, he had the same accursed dream as Nawaki and Dan. Tears started to well up in her eyes, the boy's behaviours were same as Kushina, he was Minato from face, hair and determination but Kushina from will, heart and personality.

"So, would you return with us Tsunade or not?" asked Jiraiya in an affirmative tone.

Tsunade was contemplating the merits and demerits, although she had promised Kushina that she would take care of her child if anything went wrong. She didn't wanted to return to that place but Naruto was right, Dan and Nawaki had sacrificed their life for sake of village, she should be proud of them.

She looked up and nodded her head in affirmation, she would return to the village. It wasn't for villagers or her sensei, I was for Naruto, her last family alive.

Hinata was waiting for her sensei in the training ground that was assigned to her team, Kiba was playing with Akamaru while Shino was sitting silently under one of the trees.

Her team was mainly a tracking team, it was a common occurrence to form a team that consists of a Huyga, an Inuzuka and an Aburama. They had completed 20 D-rank and 2 C-rank missions till now, they were commonly assigned missions that needed tracking or following their aim.

Her Taijutsu style wasn't complete till now, it was uncommon to see a Hyuga using another Taijutsu style than Jyukken. Jyukken was one of the best Taijutsu style if not the best, other villages and even Konoha ninjas knew to avoid hyugas in close combat.

To see it's heiress using another style of taijutsu was unnerving, the elders of the clan were adamant on changing the heiress from Hinata to Hanabi. Hanabi was proficient in Jyukken, she didn't hesitate to use her Jyukken, Hiashi didn't wanted to name Hanabi as his heir yet. The elders would force him to brand his elder daughter and he certainly didn't want that to happen.

Kurenai reached the ground after 10 minutes, she wasn't alone, she was accompanied by a purple-haired woman. The woman wasn't wearing very decent clothes, but the lack of fabric on her skin showed the fined muscles on her body. Her thigh and stomach had muscle cuts due to strength training, while her arms and legs had chiselled muscles.

Kurenai signalled her team to move close, "I would want to meet my friend today, she is Mitarashi Anko, a tokbetsu jonin known for her unique interrogation style. Today she is going to train with us"

Kiba was drooling, Anko didn't wear clothes well enough to hide her assests completely, but she hated perverts. Kurenai knew this and she was constantly trying to distract Kiba to stop his direct unhidden stare toward Anko's breast, it proved futile when at last Anko threw a kunai that grazed past the cheeks of bratty Genin.

Kurenai calmed both of them and moved on toward training, she had brought Anko to choose weapons for her genins. She had taken the consent of the parents of her genins, it was unlikely for their clans to wield weapons.

They moved on toward one of the weapon shops near the Ichiraku stand, we would see their weapons later.

Tsunade gathered Shizune and gave her the news about her return to the village, Shizune was the apprentice of Tsunade. She was niece of Dan, after his death she was left alone, Tsunade adopted her and moved out of Konoha with her.

Tsunade had to pay several debts due to her gambling habits, it wasn't like she didn't had money, she just didn't wanted to use her clan treasure for such lowly expenses. But as she had to return to the village, she took the required amount of money from Jiriaya and promised to pay him back after they reach Konoha.

It took them two days time to pay all the debts and more 4 days to return to the village.

We could see 4 people and a pig walking toward the gates of Leaf village, Naruto had taken up calling Tsunade as 'Baa-chan'. She would have pummeled him to ground, but she liked his nickname in hindsight, Naruto was too much like Nawaki and Kushina.

They reached the gates of the Village, Tsuande signed the form for her return while Jiriaya signed paperwork for return from a mission. The security of village was increased due to the Chunin exams that were going to be commenced in 3 weeks time, the Leaf village couldn't afford any type of inaccuracy.

Tsunade, Jiraiya and Naruto were traveling toward the hokage office, Shizune had taken up a leave to meet her friends. The whole village was surprised to see Tsunade Senju in the village, she was one of legendary three, princess of Konoha and best medic in entire elemental nation.

Tsunade noticed all the eyes on her, but what unnerved her were the stares that Naruto was recieving from the civilians. She looked toward him to see his reaction, he wasn't paying much attention to their surroundings. He was either clueless about them or was too good at ignoring them, slight strain in his posture suggested the second situation.

Tsunade put her hand on his shoulder to relieve his nervousness, the villagers were stupid to not see the brilliant and pleasant personality of Naruto. But now she had returned and she will support him, he wouldn't be alone.

The motherly touch of Tsunade eased Naruto nervousness, this feeling was something he had never felt before. It wasn't new for him to be center of such stares, he always found these stares if he was walking through normal routes of village.

It wasn't like Kakashi, Anko, Hiruzen or Jiriaya let him incure stares, no-one dared to look toward him if they were around him. Jiraiya was walking at a bit distance, he was relaxed due to Tsunade being around Naruto. But the touch of Tsunade was like a mother who was protecting her child, he had never felt such emotions before.

Before he could control himself tears started to dwell up in his eyes, anybody who didn't knew or felt the love of a mother would cry at sudden show of love toward him. He quickly rubbed his eye clean and smiled his brightest toward Tsuande, she noticed that the smile was a genuine one and not the one to hide pain or sorrow behind it.

They reached the Hokage office, the receptionist let them in quickly seeing two of the sennins.

Naruto knocked on the door, that was something new as Naruto was known to burst into hokage chamber. Hiruzen had been training him in shinobi etiquettes, it was necessary for a shinobi to be polite and respectful.

"Enter" a firm and deep voice said from inside.

They entered the hokage chamber to see Hiruzen sitting at his desk signing paperwork as usual, the worst enemy of every kage. He looked up and his face took a bright smile after seeing his two ex and one current apprentice.

"So, you've brought back her to the village. Welcome Tsunade, How have you been?" asked Hiruzen standing up from his desk.

"It's my village too sensei and I am all fine, How you've been doing Sensei?" said Tsunade moving toward him.

"I am all right my student, we've missed you here Tsunade" stated Hiruzen hugging her.

"So, are you here for good or will you return to your peregrination?" questioned Hiruzen

"No, I have returned for good, for now that is. I would like to have place to stay" said Tsunade.

"You don't need to find a home, Senju manor has been refurbished and renovated after one of its sides was slightly damaged in the Kyubi incident. As for your job, you can resume at your old post of head doctor at hospital" stated Hiruzen.

"About that doctor thing, I had developed a hemophobia after the demise of Dan. It hasn't went away, in contrast it had increased by two-fold" explained Tsunade.

"We can always handle that, Shizune could do the hard works while you guide her" said Hiruzen, Tsunade nodded her head in positive.

Tsunade moved out of the Hokage chamber after ruffling the hairs of Naruto one last time, Naruto had some doubts that he wanted to clear from Hiruzen

"Sensei, I have a theory that I want to confirm from you" said Naruto.

"Go on Naruto, you're free to ask anything" stated Hiruzen.

"I think that I decoded the message that Itachi Uchiha gave to me. According to him 'The snake is conspiring something and the slug should return to Leaf", Well when I read the history of the Sannins I came to know that the three of them had legendary contracts" explained Naruto.

Hiruzen was now listening more attentively to Naruto, if he was able to decipher the code so easily, then he wasn't just good but a brilliant shinobi in disguise.

"Ero-Ojii had toads, Baa-chan had slug and Orochimaru had snakes, it could be mere coincidence but snake which means Orochimaru had abandoned the village while Baa-chan had left the village. The message could be that Orochimaru is plotting against the village and we should bring Baa-chan back. Am I right Sensei?" theorized Naruto.

"You're absolutely right Naruto, I am really proud that you were able to decipher the codes on mere historical facts and assumptions" Hiruzen patted Naruto's shoulder.

Hiruzen now understood that Naruto wasn't merely hardworking, he was a brilliant in disguise. He thought in a different way, and was surely skilled as much as a chunnin.

He dismissed Naruto after making him promise that he wouldn't tell anybody else about the whole Itachi incident, it was absolutely necessary.

He was given rest for the day, he would join his regular team trianings from tomorrow.

Only 3 weeks were left for Chunin exams, Sakura had developed into her heavy sword Kenjutsu. She was now able to wield the sword efficiently, Zabuza had been training her into stances and guards.

Sasuke had bee training with Shishui for 3 weeks now, he had forsaken his twin tantos in support of short size katanas. The blades were 80 cms longs with 10 cm long handles, the blade was silver with a maroon handle.

He had focused more on his taijutsu and kenjutsu in three weeks time, his speed had increased and he was more flexible now.

In regards to his genins Kakashi himself had started to train, his tasmanian devils were growing at an alarming rate. Additionally he had felt the distance between him and Zabuza in Kenjutsu, he couldn't just rely on his sharingan for all his fights.

Sharingan consumed allot of his chakra reserve when used, that can be problematic in long lasting fights. He had decided to use his father's tanto, the same sword that gave him the title of White fang. The sword that his father used to wipe out whole contingent of enemies, his father was a legend like no other.

He had strengthen and refurbished his Chokuto, he also reforged it using powerful chakra metal for better lasting.

Team 7 was together again, Kakashi had decided that they would do missions for two weeks. Then he would train them for three days in last week before chunnin exams and then let them rest for last 4 days.

They never knew what impact this chunin exams would have on them and their life, Things would sure take different turns...
