Note: Okay, how Fox was acting at the end of the previous chapter might have left you all with a bad taste in your mouth, but I assure you that he'll simmer down some in this chapter. Before we move on, I have something to say to someone who left a bad review on this story.

Boo this is lame: Beautifuldreamer16, if this is you, confess. If it's not, I've got some advice for you: Don't praise his/her story like it's Casablanca. I'm not jealous of "Command Revision Krystal Dies", I just think that it's unpleasant to read due to all of the homophobic slurs in it. I also hate how it treats Krystal like a punching bag. When she turned evil, I was actually happy for her in that story. Given how everyone (including Panther) was being an asshole to her, I would have went on an evil spree as well. Then again, who am I kidding? Why on Earth do I even read fanfiction that continues off of one of the endings from Star Fox Command? That game has pretty much been confirmed to be non-canon. If you're wondering about this story, it starts out a month after the Aparoids were defeated (I probably should've confirmed when the story's events took place, now shouldn't I?). I set it in the year 2140, largely because they never tell you what century the Star Fox franchise takes place in. Also, I made Panther and Miyu an official couple, Fox and Krystal are still a couple, Falco and Katt are a couple, and Bill will find himself a love interest. I'm just so sick and tired of people calling Krystal horrible things like it's going out of style. She is NONE of the awful things that people say she is in the franchise's continuity (considering how Command is non-canon).

Okay, rant/explanation over. Needless to say, I'll be doing this throughout various stories. Don't be surprised when it looks like I put more effort into a ranting note than a chapter/story itself. I think that I should just let chapter eleven arrive, now should I?

Chapter 11: Castle Breaching

Fox, Fara, and Orlando walked down near the castle, careful enough to not let Star Wolf catch a glimpse of them. As they walked near the massive building, the three found themselves facing a massive hedge maze.

"Wolf must really like plants." Fara said.

"Plant-lover or not, he's going down!" Fox said as he sprinted into the maze.

"Fox, wait up!" Orlando ran after the vulpine.

"If he's mad now," Fara surmised, "one can only imagine how he would get when a member of Star Wolf shows up at the end of the maze!"

The three walked through the maze, occasionally stopping to check where they were at. In order to keep themselves from getting lost, Orlando would place a branch from one of the hedges on a pathway that led to a dead end. Every time he did that, the group could hear what sounded like a chainsaw.

"Is there someone working on this maze?" Fara quietly asked.

"I wouldn't be surprised if Wolf hired an assassin who works as a gardener to disguise himself." Fox whispered.

"Or maybe he hired some random gardener." Orlando quietly said.

"We may never know for sure." The vulpine said as he continued to walk.

Fox, Fara, and Orlando continued to walk through the maze, intent on rescuing their friends. That was until they heard the sound again.

"It's getting closer!" Fox whispered.

"No doubt about it!" Fara quietly spoke.

"Stay with me," Orlando whispered, "we can deal with whatever is making that dreadful noise later!"

All of a sudden, the source of the noise came out from the hedges with the chainsaw that was mounted to his hand. This being was a polar bear who dwarfed the three of them by three feet. In addition to the chainsaw that he had instead of a left hand.

"Mr. Helsing, what do we do?!" Fara asked in fear.

"We're going to overcome this obstacle!" Orlando pulled out both a bottle of water and a stake.

"How can you fight something that's larger than you?!" Fox asked.

"You fight things that are larger than you all the time!" Fara said as the polar bear approached them.

The bear, who was the castle's gardener, swung his chainsaw at them, but he missed them by a few inches. Swinging again, he only managed to scratch Fox's chest.

"Fox!" Orlando shouted.

"Don't worry, I'm fine!" The vulpine said as he covered his wound.

"But he won't be!" Fara shouted as the Gardener approached them.

Orlando swung the water bottle at the Gardener, which burnt the bear. Jumping onto his back, the coyote then ran his stake through the Gardener's heart. After that, the Gardener screamed as he burst into flames and exploded. However, Orlando was unhurt in spite of the Gardener exploding.

"I feel like just dousing him in Holy water and leaving him stunned would have worked." Fox noted.

"Believe me," Orlando said, "you would've done the same as I did in a situation like this!"

"Besides Fox," Fara said, "we've made it to the end of the maze."

True to the fennec's words, the three found themselves closer to the castle's entrance. Before they could go in, they saw Panther and Miyu carrying an unconscious Peppy.

"It's a shame how we have to feed on him." Miyu said.

"We don't have to," Panther noted, "we could just make him one of Wolf's servants."

"Good to know." The lynx said before kissing the other feline.

"You're strong." The feline smiled.

"No, you're strong." Miyu smiled back. The two then entered the castle, the drawbridge not even closing behind them.

"That's our ticket in there!" Fara quietly said.

"Consider that ticket punched!" Fox said as he ran towards the entrance.

"Wait for us, McCloud!" Orlando said as he and Fara followed the vulpine towards the entrance. However, the drawbridge was starting to close up. With only a minute to enter the castle, the three jumped onto the drawbridge, with Orlando using his whip to get himself there faster. Once they were inside, Fox, Fara, and Orlando found themselves in a long hallway.

"This place is like a labyrinth," Fox stated, "how do you get through it?!"

"We'll have to fight our way through it!" Fara said as she took out a stake.

As if right on cue, the three were greeted by a giant, monstrous wolf-like creature.

"Looks like we've got our second challenge!" Orlando said.

"All I need is a weapon," Fox stated, "I can't fight that beast with my barehands!"

"There's probably a weapon somewhere in the room!" Fara stated.

Fox looked up and saw that there was a sword hanging from the ceiling. Dodging the creature's attacks, the vulpine then jumped into the sky, grabbing the sword with relative ease.

"I got it!" The vulpine said as he ran towards the creature. The monster brought its paws down, but Fox slashed at it with the sword. When the beast was wounded, it tried to get away. However, Fox was immediately behind it. After a few more slashes from the sword, the wolf-like monster was dead.

"That was awesome," Orlando said, "but can you let us handle some of the other monsters?"

"Yeah," Fara frowned, "it's not fair when you get all the fun!"

"Don't worry," Fox smiled, "I'm sure that there will be plenty of creepy monsters for all of us to take on!"

"Then, we'll take on Star Wolf!" Orlando said in triumph.

"And we'll rescue the others before they either get turned or fed on!" Fara cracked her knuckles.

"Alright, let's go!" Fox said as he raised his sword.

The three then proceeded to run, occasionally fighting off a monster that was in their way. However, that didn't matter, as they were about to fight off the now vampiric Star Wolf. No matter what happened, they were going to slay those traitorous immortality seekers.

Krystal, Fox thought, if you can hear me, we're coming for you and the people Star Wolf has kidnapped!

Fox, don't put up a fight! Krystal's voice shouted, Volk will kill you and your allies if you come near!

Sorry Krys, but leaving you with those creeps is not an option! Fox smiled in defiance. Even if Star Wolf was threatening to have the vulpine killed if he came near Krystal, he was going to beat them and rescue the cobalt vixen.

Note: Yeah, it's becoming like the Castlevania games, but it will have elements of other vampire-themed media. As a quick bit of trivia, I only have Castlevania II: Simon's Quest and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Even though the Gardener in this chapter is supposed to be based on the Gardener from Castlevania 64, I have only seen footage of the game. The same goes for the Legacy of Kain series. However, if I have a chance, I could ask for one of the Legacy of Kain games in the future. As a spoiler, the next chapter will feature a major character death. Can you guess who's going to die? What did you guys think of this chapter? Let me know when you leave a review, or give a constructive criticism. Until next time guys, peace!
