"Lana?" A voice said. I turend around to see my parents Aladdin and Jasmine walking up to me. I quickly blocked Iago from view to hide him from Jasmine. "Hi mommy, hi daddy" I said with a nervous smile.
"hey Lana, we were just wondering if you were coming to dinner with us tonight?" Jasmine said. "Sure mommy. what are you guys doing?" I said. "we were just hanging out with Genie. he just came back from vacation" Aladdin said.
"Cool" I said. "Genie" Aladdin said. Genie flew up to us. "Hi Genie!" I said. "Hey Lana how have you been?" Genie said. "I have been good" I said. Genie and I hugged. after we hugged Genie said, "I heard Aladdin and,
Jasmine adopted you" Genie said. "yeah" I said. "well congrats on your new parents. You can call me uncle since me and Al are close" Genie said.
"Really?" I said. "yeah" Genie said. Jasmine then gasped. "Oh my gosh dinner! were gonna be late!" Jasmine said. "You should go change,
into more fancy clothes Lana since this is kind of a fancy dinner" Aladdin said. "okay daddy but I don't have a dress" I said.
"no problem, I got you covered" Uncle Genie said. With a touch of his magic a dress appeared on my body the same design as Jasmine,
but yellow. I smiled. "Thanks Uncle Genie" I said. "your welcome, lets go. I'm cooking" Uncle Genie said as he walked up the stairs. I held Jasmine's,
hand as we walked to dinner. When we got to dinner I saw my family there. I sat down next to Jasmine and Nala. As Uncle Genie was cooking dinner,
and keeping the Sultan amused I was talking with my family. "Has anyone visited Scar yet besides me today?" I said. "Yeah I have.
he hasn't been doing too well. He did not want me to see him" Uru said. "oh. what did he do?" I said. "He yelled at me and kept growling at me.
I told him his time would be up in prison fast but he wouldn't believe me" Uru said. "oh. should I talk to him?" I said. "yeah. if you want to" Uru said.
"okay. also can I talk to you, dad, Mufasa, and Nala for a minute?" I said. "sure sweetie" Uru said. I got up to talk with my family but Aladdin stopped me.
"Where are you going Lana?" Aladdin said. "Im just gonna talk with my family real quick daddy" I said. "okay. just come back when your,
finished" Aladdin said. "okay" I said. I then went to one of the far corner with my family so we can talk.
"what did you want to talk about Lana?" Ahadi said. "you know how I told you guys that Iago save us from the gang who jumped me and daddy?" I said. "yes. why what does this have to do with Iago?" Nala said.
"well...I feel like I and Iago trust each other so I have decided to...Adopt Iago as my son now" I said. "what!?" All of them gasped. "Lana what the hell are you thinking!? you know Iago worked with Jafar he is dangerous!" Mufasa shouted.
"I know but trust me he has changed! He wants nothing to do with Jafar now since he betrayed him!" I shouted back. "your brother is right Lana. Iago is dangerous. I do not approve of you adopting Iago" Ahadi said.
I got angry. "You guys don't fucking understand! Iago has no family to go to so I adopted him!" I yelled. "Watch your mouth Lana.
your grounded for a week for swearing at me" Ahadi said. I growled with anger. "Fuck this family!" I yelled. "two weeks!" Ahadi yelled back.
I said nothing and stormed off. "Lana wait!" Nala said. I ignored her and kept running to my room. When I got to my room I slammed the door behind me,
and laid on my bed and cried. Why doesn't my family understand that I can make my own decisions. I am 19 years old now and I can make,
my own decisions without my family turning me down. As I continued to cry the door to my room opened. "Go away dad" I said. "Its just me,
Lana. it's mommy" Jasmine said. I looked up and saw Jasmine standing behind my door. she closed my door behind her and walked up to me.
she sat down next to me. "Dearest whats wrong?" Jasmine said. I sighed and said, "my family. They don't think I can make my own decisions.
I adopted Iago as my son and my dad disapproved because he thinks Iago is dangerous. But he is not he saved me and daddy" I said.
"I know about Iago now Lana" Jasmine said. "you do?" I said. "yeah. he crashed dinner with Raja. I got mad at Aladdin because he lied to me,
about Iago" Jasmine said. "Are you mad at me too mommy?" I said. "no Lana of corse not. I'm glad you told me that you adopted Iago. And I seen it for myself Iago has changed too" Jasmine said. "So I am not the only one,
who thinks Iago changed?" I said. "No" Jasmine said. I smiled. "thanks mommy" I said. "anytime dearest" Jasmine said. Jasmine and I then hugged. after we hugged, Jasmine said, "Uncle Genie saved some dinner for you,
if your hungry" Jasmine said. "Thanks" I said. I was about to go get dinner when the door to my room opened. I saw my dad Ahadi and my son Iago came in. Iago flew up to me and sat on my shoulder. "Hi mommy" Iago said.
"hey sweetie" I said. My dad Ahadi walked up to me. I sighed. "what do you want dad?" I said. Ahadi sighed. "I just wanted to say Lana,
I see that Iago has proven to me that he has changed. And so I am allowing you to adopt him" Ahadi said. my eyes widened with shock.
"you are?" I said. "yes. I'm sorry I didn't believe you. I understand why you got angry and I don't blame you. I'm lifting your grounding.
your not grounded anymore because you were being honest" Ahadi said. "Thanks dad" I said. "Your welcome Lana. You should go eat dinner now,
before it gets cold" Ahadi said. "Okay" I said. "alright, I am gonna go hang out with Al and Genie for a bit" Iago said. "okay sweetie, just tell me if you go anywhere" I said. "okay mommy" Iago said.
Iago then went to go hang out with Uncle Genie and Aladdin.
