I apologize if the last chapter was a little confusing. I'm also happy that I included Katara finding out about Aang giving up the Avatar State for her, like that's so cute to me. Anyways enjoy this chapter!

...

2 days later

Zuko came to Katara's door, "Hey they should be here any second. You ready?" The waterbender had her bags in hand and Liang wrapped around her in a blanket. "Ready!" The firelord raised an eyebrow at her, "You're bringing Liang with you? Isn't that kind of...dangerous."

"I'm not leaving her here alone. Plus my gran-gran is staying at the North Pole with Pakku, so I'll just leave Liang with her while we're on the actual mission. Also I want her there so she can meet her daddy." She said that last sentence in a babyish voice while playing with the little girl. He nodded and they walked out of her room.

Zuko and Katara stood outside of the Fire Nation Palace awaiting their friends' arrival.

They then saw two ostrich horses coming closer to them. Sokka and Toph got off the animals and greeted their friends.

Toph has her arms crossed and an annoyed look on her face, "You wanna know what I hate most about being with Sokka?" To which the watertribe warrior responded, "Hey!"

"All of his bad luck also affects me!" She pointed to herself in a dramatic way. "I mean come on! We stayed in this stupid palace for nearly a year just waiting and waiting for some news about Aang to come, but nothing! And the SECOND that we leave, some news come up!" The blind earthbender complained. The group giggled to her words.

"Oh you think this is funny? Do you want to know what I was about to do when we got your letter? I was about to get in my first bar fight!" she complained once more.

Sokka put his arm around her and kissed her gently on the cheek, "Sorry babe, the bad luck just comes with me." Toph remained with her arms crossed and an annoyed look but soften her smile to Sokka's touch.

He then turned back to Katara and Zuko, "So can you explain what exactly is that happened to Aang, cause your letter wasn't very helpful."

Katara then went on about what happened to the airbender and their plan to get him back. To which Sokka and Toph just stared in confusion. "You wanna know what I just heard? Blah-blah spiritual mumbo jumbo blah-blah something about the North Pole," the blind girl responded.

"Point is we have to leave now. We already have everything packed on Appa except for you guys' things," the waterbender said with determination.

They all began to make their way to the main patio. Katara then stopped to talk, "Oh um I should mention, Suki's coming with us."

"What?" The blind earthbender and the boomerang guy said simultaneously.

"Well she's really good friends with Aang and when she found out about the mission she offered to come and help. And honestly, we need as much help as we can get."

Toph and Sokka both looked down with worry. "Just because you two aren't together doesn't mean she can't be our friend. Like it or not, Suki is part of our little team."

"I guess you're right. Are you gonna be okay with it, Toph? The watertribe warrior asked. "I'll be fine as long as she doesn't try to kill me in my sleep." Katara nodded and they continued walking.

They reached the main patio to find the Kyoshi Warrior waiting for them along side General Jong. "Hey guys!" Suki said to the group. They all waived and greeted her.

Zuko turned to Jong, "General, in my absence I will need someone to look over the Fire Nation. I already sent for my uncle to come, but until he arrives I would like you to take over. Please try and make sure that no one outside the palace hears of my absence, we're still on the lookout for my sister."

"Thank you my lord, I will not let you down." The general bowed respectfully to the Firelord.

Zuko was the last one to get on Appa and with him on Katara said the magic words. "Appa, yip yip!"

A couple hours later

Sokka pulled out a map from his bag. "Alright everyone gather round. So I have made a map of our journey to the North Pole and according to my calculations we should be there in about 2 weeks."

"Sounds good then," Zuko replied. Suki went over to Katara who was sitting on Appa's head. "So, is this Liang's first ride on Appa?"

Katara looked up to the Kyoshi Warrior, "Yeah. Honestly this is Liang's first time out of the palace."

"Wow. Well at least it's gonna be a big adventure," she replied with a soft smile.

"Hey Katara, you should land over there. It's almost night time." Sokka said pointing down to wide open field near the ocean.

The group settled their tents and Katara made diner. They all set by the fire and ate their food. Sokka and Toph were snuggled up next to each other and Katara was feeding Liang.

Suki tried not to stare at Toph and Sokka cause she knew it would be too painful but she couldn't help it. She tried to focus on something else and caught a glimpse of Zuko staring at Katara.

She knew that look, it's the same look she had on a face, the look of someone who's in love with a person who's in love with someone else.

It was a beautiful night on Ember Island. Aang suddenly found himself soaked in water. "Oh you're gonna pay for that!" he said with a playful evil grin.

Katara smiled widely and began to run away from him before he caught up. The avatar got water from the ocean and threw it at her.

She turned to face him and giggled, "Looks like you got me." He put his arms around her and brought her close, "I'm not done yet." Aang took Katara by her legs and carried her to the ocean. "Aang! Put me down!" she yelled while chuckles filled her words.

He submerged them both deep in the water and kissed her as if giving her air to breathe. They were now drowning in each other's embrace.

Finally coming up to the surface, with the full moon lighting up their faces. Aang and Katara kept holding each other and looked deep into the other's eyes. They shared a passionate kiss while Aang began to waterbend them up into the sky.

Words can't describe the feeling that these two were living. It was as if their natural elements were coming together to capture their perfect moment. Neither wanted to let go, not even if they had to. The rush of being this high in the sky, and the coolness that the waves brought in. It was truly magical.

Present Day

Katara couldn't sleep that night. She hadn't been able to sleep much since she got the news about Aang. Hope finally didn't seem so lost. She got out of her tent and went over to the beach and stared at the sky.

She breathed in the air, it reminded her of him. Katara began to waterbend some of the water from the ocean. It had been a long time since she last practiced her element, it was nice.

She felt the full moon light up her skin and giving her the strength to divide the seas. She was able to feel every droplet in her flow of water. The waterbender twirled it around her as if she was dancing with the water.

After an hour of this, she finally let go. She got the betrothal necklace that Aang made for her out of her pocket and held it to her chest. She stared back at the sky and took a deep breath, "You're going to be okay, we will find you. And we will bring you home. Just hold on a little longer."
