Chapter 12.

Jazmine's POV

I couldn't come to terms with it. I actually initiated a kiss with Huey. My friend. The boy who I couldn't stand when I first met him. The boy I said I wasn't talking to not too long ago. How ironic because while we definitely weren't talking right now our lips were doing a lot of telling.

Huey is taken back a bit but quickly recovers and kisses me back so passionately. It's terrible that I can't help but think I have been waiting for this moment. To know how Huey's mouth felt against mine. His big soft lips were moving in tune with mine. He licks my bottom lip for access to inside my mouth. I grant permission and our tongues dance swiftly against each other. This feels so good.

I can taste the faint mint on his tongue. The sensation was fresh. It was good to know he brushed his teeth before bed. Not many men did that he was different. Huey gains the upper hand I can tell the boy was well experienced in this area. He had to be the best kisser I knew. My whole body was on fire just from kissing. His hands go to my hips and he pulls me down as he leans back on the bed, signaling me to follow.

Not breaking the kiss I throw my leg over his waist and straddle him. Huey's firmly places his hands on my butt. I set mines on his hot chest, his heart was beating fast and his chest was rising and falling rapidly. Huey's lips leave mine and I immediately miss the feeling of warmth but then they connect with my neck.

Huey's POV

I definitely didn't expect Jazmine to show up to my home or her to come to me out of all people after her breakup. Most importantly I didn't expect to be kissing her right now. I shouldn't even be doing this; she just got out of a relationship. It wasn't right but I let hormones take over. At first my natural response was to push her away but I couldn't. I just needed a taste then I would stop was my thought process. We are far past that now...

I take her damp hair in my hand to keep it out the way as I continue my assault to her neck. Jazmine moans in response then I let her full lips return to mine. 'Shit they were almost addicting.'

She starts to rock her hips a little and I feel myself grow. I stop her movement with my hands before this goes way further than it should.

Instead, I flip Jazmine over and attack her mouth with my tongue and she reciprocates the same energy. 'Fuckk she is way too good at this.' We stay like this for a while, fighting for dominance until Jazmine's hand dust over the waistband of my shorts. This brings me back to reality and I pull back, creating a pop sound.

"Jazmine what are we doing?" I breathe heavily.

"Something we should have done already." She looks just out of breath. She tries to pull me back to her but I sit up fully. Scooting a little away from her and she looks perplexed. I capture her figure. Her face red and disheveled. Not to mention her bruises on her cheek make me stir with anger at Cairo and myself. Here I was taking advantage of her in a vulnerable state.

"This is wrong. You're emotional after a break up and it's wrong for me to take advantage of you when you just got your heartbroken."

"But I want this." She tries putting her hand on mine.

I move my hand away, "That's what you think right now but you're not in the right state of mind. I can't either, with your face looking like that, it's wrong...I'm not going to be your rebound either." Jazmine makes a face when I say this and I probably shouldn't have added that but it was true. I wasn't going to be the one to distract from her break up. Also, I didn't want her to use me to get over it as well. She had to find a way to deal with this and move past it by herself. Us messing was not the correct way to go about her healing.

"That's what you think this is?... Figures. I should just get going." Jazmine grabs her keys.

"Wait I-I didn't mean it like that." I block her path to leaving.

"How did you mean it then?" I'm silent. I don't have an answer, I can't find the proper words to say.

Jazmine scoffs, "I should've never came here." She huffs and hurries out of my room. When I hear the door slam, I sit on my bed in defeat. I facepalm I didn't mean for it to come out like that. I messed up again but I didn't want her to leave. Maybe it was a good thing. She didn't like it but I was helping her. This would be better for Jazmine in the long run. I wasn't good for her.

Jazmine's POV

A week Later.

BANG! BANG! BANG! The knocking at my door doesn't stop. I groan and roll out of bed. I have been in my room all week, I called out of work and school. Part of it was because my bruises took a few days to fade away and I didn't want anyone to see or ask questions. But mostly I didn't feel like doing anything, I needed the time to heal mentally. And I could say I was almost mostly over Cairo. I could think about the situation without falling apart. People might say it was too fast but he cheated and put his hands on me. I wasn't going to let that ruin me. More knocking interrupts my thoughts.

"I'm coming damn." I open the door revealing Cindy about knock again and Asia right beside her.

"Were you trying to break my door down?!" I walk over to my couch and take a seat.

"Well hello to you too Jaz." The two walk in my living room.

"We ain't see you all week and this is how you greet us?" Asia shakes her head.

I roll my eyes, "Been busy."

"Busy, doing what? Sulking over Cairo's cheating ass still." I texted them about the breakup but not about him hitting me. Bad I know but in my defense it was very difficult to talk about. I know I will have to tell them eventually… I will tell them soon.

"I just wanted to be left alone. Time to forget about him. Now if you guys have nothing nice to say-"

Cindy cuts me off, "Not happening. You want to forget right?" I nod

"Exactly, soo we going to Huey's club tonight. You need to get out the crib, have some fun."

"I appreciate the offer and trying to cheer me up but it's kind of hard to have fun after your boyfriend who you thought loved you. Cheated and lied about it to you for months… and did you forget what I told you about Huey. I made a complete fool of myself." Yup I told them about that too. They were ecstatic and didn't even try to hide it. That didn't help with the embarrassment though.

"Girl don't mind Huey hater self. He gon' see what he is missing out on eventually." Cindy and Riley were hanging around each other too much. I mean Cindy always thought she was from the streets but it was partially Asia's fault too, he was always at their home. Asia was turning into a mini him as well.

"I understand that Jaz. Trust me I know how you're feeling but sitting alone in your apartment moping around all day is not good for you nor gonna make you feel better. You need to be around people who love you, your girls. Surrounded by good vibes." Asia says seriously. I was listening to her but it just didn't seem right.

"Asia I still don't know."

"Please just say you'll go. One night out and if you have a terrible time we'll bring home right away." Cindy gives me puppy eyes. Knowing them they would keep begging until I agree.

I give in, "Fine, Fine I'll come but only because I can't resist that look." I smile. I was done eating ice cream, watching sad movies and sitting in my room. I was punishing myself for no reason.

"Yesss!" Cindy exclaims.

"Forget Cairo and Huey hating ass."

"Yeah. Fuck them." I say whilst secretly hoping to run into Huey there.

"Yeah but before we go…" Asia looks at Cindy.

"You need to hop in the shower sis." Cindy finishes Asia's sentence for her.

I laugh, "I really stink that bad?" They nod their heads fiercely in response.

"As your sisters we got to keep it real with you and you need one badly."

"Ok, ok I'm going to go in now."

"Good we're gonna go. See you later."

"Ok bye." I watch them leave then gather the stuff for my shower. I sniff before I go in. 'Whew I do smell horrible.'

When the hot water hits my back I feel relieved and relaxed for the first time in a week. I have a lot of time to kill so I wash my hair, shaved everywhere, and just pamper myself. After I'm done I put on a lingerie set, I want to feel sexy tonight.. Then I put on my sequin silver short dress with booty shorts under just in case. I put on a white pair of heels. Lastly I do my hair in a half up half down hairstyle with two ringlets sticking out in the front. Then light makeup mascara, blush, natural eyeshadow. Also, I add accessories such as my silver watch and necklace.

Soon after Cindy texts me she's outside in the Uber waiting for me. Looks like they were getting drunk tonight or we would have taken Cindy's car. I grab my phone and head out the door.

The club is the same as always, a movie. We all sit at the bar. I rest my hand on my head and swivel my drink around. Regretting coming here after 20 minutes.

"Jaz loosen up, we're here to have fun remember." Asia speaks from beside me.

"Yeah Yeah, I know… I just don't know-" I stop mid sentence when my eyes wonder upon a huge afro across the club.

It's dark but I know exactly who that is. Huey kissing some random girl. That's why he didn't go further he had someone else? It was mind boggling that he could simply forget the moment we shared. Wow! Well two can play that game.

"What?" My eyes snap back to my friends asking me what's wrong.

"What I was going to say is...I don't know how to have fun with these kiddie drinks. Let's get some shots!"

"That's my girl! Yo Chris!"

"What's up Cindy?"

"Get us some shots of Patron and keep em' coming till Jazzy says stop." Chris looks at her funny then to me.

"You ok with that Jazmine?" I didn't care. I just wanted to forget everything on my mind.

"Yup." He shrugs and brings out Patron, pouring them into three glasses. The three of us raise them.

"What's the toast for?"

"To moving on." I exclaim.

"To moving on." My friends repeat and we clink glasses. The harsh warm liquor makes me cringe a bit but also excites me.

"Another Please!"
