The Faron Region of Hyrule, a non inhabited area filled with lots of jungle and wildlife as well as ancient ruins, including the Spring of Courage.
The group sat near the spring as Zelda was walking in it.
"I will do whatever I can, as I am right now. Even if all I have to give is my faith that things will turn out all right. This is the thread that I have been following all this time. Even so...all of the research I've done into the relics...if I cannot awaken the power...will have been in vain. Everyone else is carrying out their duties with such grace. I am the only one...who cannot live up...to her own potential." Zelda said.
"Geez, Zelda is really beating herself up over this, isn't she?" David asked.
"Well, with every Zelda timeline, the pattern is always the same. Ganon or Ganondorf rises up, and it's up to Link and Zelda to seal him away." Jexi said.
"But even so… All of this pressure put on her isn't going to make her power awaken faster." David said. "It's at times like this where you need to keep a cool head and not let any negative thoughts distract you."
"We're under a massive time crunch. Not a lot of time before Calamity Ganon decides to rise and shine." Gray said.
"And Zelda is the only one that can seal him away." Todoroki said.
"I know that. But… What would be the point? It will only be a matter of time before the seal breaks and he is reawakened once again. I know it's kind of the norm in this kind of world, but…" David started. "I don't know. I just…"
"I know, but sealing him gives us time to prepare again." Richard answered back. "After all, there's the alternative to rid him permanently. And it's not like we lack the means for it. After all, I do seem to recall that you did some god-slaying yourself. I'm not sure what it takes to exorcise Calamity Ganon from this world, but I'm sure it's possible."
"It's all because of Demise's curse." Robin said.
"Yeah. I remember Demise mentioning something about that when I fought him before." David said.
"The curse is a long lasting one. Incarnations of his malice and hatred will appear to face off against each incarnation of the hero of courage and the princess of light and bring despair upon their lives." Elementa said.
Jude remained silent at this prospect.
"Jude… It must be tough hearing all of that after all that effort put into restoring their spirits in our time." David said. "I want to ensure lasting peace for the four Champions as well. Really, I do. Not just them, but all of Hyrule. This Era has clearly suffered enough."
Cheetah came in through the forest. "Reporting. Monsters are beginning to close in on our location. It's no longer safe here. We need to leave. Now."
"Uh...a little late for that." Zan said seeing monsters approaching the front. "They're already here!"
"So be it! To arms, heroes!" Sir Saiyan said as he drew his sword.
"We don't need to defeat them all, we just need to push them back enough so we can slip through." Law said.
"So we'll push forward and get Zelda out of here." Hope said. "Let's go!"
"Right! Let's clear a path!" Siege said, drawing his blade as he charged into battle, Freyja providing ranged support for everyone with her magic.
"Nice work." Zan said as they hurried past the horde. "They're going to follow even if…" she said, noticing some of the trees. "Berge, Franny, cut down those trees. We can cut off their path towards us."
"Roger!" Francisca said.
The two of them went about cutting down any tree in the path and blocking off the monsters' advance.
"Great plan, Zan. That'll keep 'em busy for a while." Scarlet complimented.
"They'll likely find another path, but it does buy us time to escape." Zan said.
"We're getting close. I can see...the...oh you gotta be kidding me." Hope said as they saw a large blue Hinox standing in their path.
"Another one of those things. We'll have to defeat it in order to escape." Jude said.
"Astor seems very intent on keeping us here." Cheetah said.
"We're not letting that prick keep us here." Siege said. "Let's bring that Hinox down!"
The Hinox attacked the group as it grabbed a tree and swung it at them.
"After the last couple of battles, it seems its weak spot is the one eye." Zan said.
"In that case, let's blind this sucker." Belladonna said.
"Wait for it to drop itself to the ground, then stab it in its eye." Leopardmon said.
"I'm on it. Barbara, Belladonna, can you two back me up?" Riesz asked.
"Of course." Cheetah said.
"We have your side." Belladonna said.
"Then let's go." Riesz said.
The group proceed to work their way with the Hinox until it does his belly flop. Cheetah and Belladonna closed in and slashed at his eye before Riesz charged in and pierced the eye with her spear. The Hinox cried out in pain as it stumbled backwards and onto the ground as it fell, defeated.
"We managed to escape, but at this rate…" Cheetah started.
"Yeah...the monsters are starting to get more brazen. Won't be long till Calamity Ganon is back." Law said.
"Hmm...no choice. We'll have to take her to the Spring of Wisdom." Tails said.
"But, you said there was an age restriction." Terra said.
"Yeah. The restriction is 17 years old. We'll have to risk it all and take her on her birthday." Tails said.
"At this rate, we barely have any other options. It's going to be an arduous trek. There's barely any time to prepare." Cheetah said.
"We'll have to have the town evacuated on the day we make the trip." Jexi said. "But even with his return, we have the Divine Beasts and the Master Sword along with the towers. Stuff to keep him at bay until we face him head on."
"Regardless, our objective still remains clear." Cheetah said. "We'll have to prepare for even the worst-case scenario this time."
