We were approaching Ba Sing Se on a airship that met us at republic city. I decided to head in to talk to Asami, this is my chance to turn her to my side they'll finally see I'm right. I went below deck when to Asamis cell when I heard taking.
"God you pretty" I know where this is going I signaled to guards to follow me.
"Don't touch me"

"UMMM Bolin I was just interrogating the prisoner she tried to escape so I needed to"
"That's a lie he was trying to"
"QUITE PRISONER" he made a move to hit her but before he did I metal bended the collars around his neck and lifted him up
"I heard the whole thing you were trying to force yourself on this woman, on my friend"
"Please Bolin I just made a mistake don't"
I don't listen I walked him down the hall and threw him out of the open window
"A shame, signal the city about what happened, we don't want any confusion" I walked back into Asami's cell.
"Are you ok"
"YOU KILLED THAT MAN"
"After what he did how could you possibly feel sympathy"

"Come on asami your smart, we're deep in Earth Empire territory's and there's at least a dozen metal benders on this ship"

Bam she punched me square in the face knocking me down.

She then picked me up and slammed me against the wall.
"AND THAT IS FOR KIDNAPPING ME"
Finally the guards came in and restrained her.
I got up off the ground and felt my nose, I was bleeding.
"Bolin are you ok, what should we do with her"
"Well I feel betrayed Asami I thought we were getting some where"
She spat in my face
"Screw you, your a monster"
"No I'm not, right now your lost but I promise you'll see reason, whether you want to or not"
"Rough her up a bit then throw her in the cooler"
"Coolers, those were outlawed after the war"
"we don't listen to cowards, you should've listened Asami"
"BOLIN WAIT" she screamed as I left the cell
"WE ARE FRIENDS"
"You did this to yourself"
I closed the cell door but the sound of punches connecting with her could still be heard.
TEAM AVATAR POV
It had been a day since we've been captured, Opal and Mako can't stop thinking about how to escape. I wasn't much use I just can't stop thinking about Asami. I finally got her back and now one of my friends captured her and she is on her way to Kuvira. She's probably so scarred and.

"I know I'm worried about Asami to but we can't save her from in here"

We heard fighting coming from outside the cell and soon the door shot open. SU and her sons entered the cell.
"Mom" said Opal
"I wasn't about to let Kuvira hurt another member of our family" they set us free and we exited.
Tons of people were in cuffs and Lin was ordering around.
"I take it your theory was correct"
"Yah we need to talk to Raiko I'm certain Kuvira is going to attack"
"Well call a meeting"
"Hey where's Asami"
We all looked down
"Bolin took her"
"WHAT WHY"
"We don't know, Bolin said Kuvira wanted to see her"
"This can't be good"
"Yah especially since without her republic city has lost its best mind"

Everybody looked around with a uneasy expression like we all thought that but deep down new Bolin wasn't the same.
"Well on a less depressing note" I said trying to break the silence.

BOLIN POV
"Bolin we're approaching the city"
"Ok I'm going to get the prisoner, take us in"
Asami has been in the cooler for about a hour. I thought about pulling her out multiple times but decided against it. She needed to feel helpless so that she won't fight back then she can see all the good we're doing.
I opened the cell ready with a blanket and coffee. I saw Asami huddled on the floor hugging her knees trying to get warm. Her engineer jump suit was ripped and she had bruises in were her skin was exposed. Her face isn't to bad only a slight black eye. I felt terrible she was my friend how could I do this.
"Bolin" she said weekly clearly eyeing what was in my hands.
"Asami I'm sorry I, I, I had to do it"
"Here" I sat with her on the floor and wrapped the blanket around her giving her the Coffee.
"Thanks" she said sipping it"
"Bolin why I am here what are they, what are you going to do go me"
"I promise it's nothing bad we just need your engineering skills"
"I won't help you hurt Korra or take over the United Republic"
"You won't, let's not get into this now follow me let's get you more comfortable"
I helped her up and she walked next to me, she walked with her head down clearly about to cry. We finally stopped at my room. There she felt comfortable enough to brake down.
"BOLIN I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE"
"I'm so cold" she said weekly
I couldn't restrain myself, it was just my instinct to be comforting. I hugged Asami, at first she didn't hug me back then gave in and hugged me back.
"I'm sorry about all of this"
"I promise I'll try to make it easier for you"
I felt tears roll onto my shoulder,
"I missed this Bolin"
"Here I'll get you some food and a change of clothes" I broke the hug and got her something to eat. The last time I tried this it didn't go so well.
"Here eat before we land and while your at it you may want to get changed"
"Into what"
"I handed her the box"
"A Earth Empire uniform, no"
"Look it would really make things easier"
"I'm not joining you"
"This doesn't mean that"
"Look it's either this or you stay in that freezing destroyed outfit"
There was a moment of silence before she finally said
"Fine, leave so I can change"

We finally landed and I left Asami to herself for the most part.
Knock"Asami you ready
"Yah open the door"
I opened to find her dressed in a Earth Empire uniform. It hid most of the bruising she got and she has placed makeup to hide her black eye.
"You look good"
"Don't get any ideas"
"What come on I've never thought about you like that"
"Well I'm not sure what you think anymore"
"Well I don't think of you like that now let's get going I can't wait to show you"
We exited out and I could tell Asami was shocked. We were in a high point where you could see the whole of Ba Sing Se's lower ring.
"Last time I was here this place was terrible, now"
"It's better"
As you looked out all you could see was a modern city. Airships both military and civilian were always overhead. Military outpost and recruitment centers were spread all over the place and Mechs and troops marched through the street. So many of the buildings once rundown and falling apart now looked like modern apartment complexes.
"No"
"What how could you say that"
"Look a little closer"
"I see those Mech troopers marching through the street to spread fear and authority not peace"
"Even from here you can see the propaganda lining the walls, In sure it talks up Kuvira and encourages military service"
"Your wrong, authority is peace, just come with me to the train station it will take us up to the upper ring"
We walked to the streets and as we walked we were constantly saluted by troops.
"So how important are you exactly"
"Well I'm a member of Kuvira's inner circle so important"
"Asami you saw what this place was before and after the Earth queen are you honestly telling me there not better off"
"Well that is a pretty low bar"
Just then fighting erupted in front of us as Metal benders dragged a fire bender out of his home.
"What are they doing did he do something wrong"
"Yes he's a fire-bender in the Earth Empire that's enough"
"THATS IT"
"What's going to happens to him"
he'll be sent to a re education camp"
"You means a prison, Bolin your brother is a fire bender"
"And he is staying in rightfully Earth Empire territory, he'll be sent to the fire nation with the rest of them after its over"

A group of kids in uniform walked by being led by what looked like a drill sergeant.
"Disgusting, your preparing them for war at so young"
"Those kids were orphans, street rats and poor, one of them tried to rob me a while ago, we're giving them structure and discipline. I would've loved that back when I was on the street"

We finally got to the train station and I we we're escorted into a private cart.
"We're almost to Kuvira"
