He had won.
A hovercraft brings Christmas up, and is greeted by his mentor. "Congratulations! Now, you may have won, but-" He turns around and sees the head game maker, Rosemary Heavensbee. "I need to tell you this in private. Come on." So he follows him into a small room. "Look. As a victor myself, it's even harder after the games than it is in the games. Yeah, I guess you can say you are showered in riches, but you are the new mentor. My job is done. And, soon you will have to do a victory tour. Now, let's get you home." Christmas remembers Willow, and how he formed a plan to kill her. She was from District 7 as well, so his district will be furious. And, he has to see his parents. Will he be allowed to even go to victors village, or will he stay inside that basement forever? The thought makes him shudder. He may have survived, but more sacrifices come ahead.
