Chapter Thirteen – Roman Holiday
The Rock's Mansion, Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA 4pm EST
Christmas was just two weeks away and Roman was thinking up ways to surprise his friends by buying them the best Christmas presents ever. He was hoping to get some ideas from Dean but all his presents involved alcohol and that left a lot of people like AJ Styles, Alexa Bliss and the DX family out. He was better off asking Sasha and Bayley for help even though they were talking to his cousin about the Black Heart Diaries. Apparently, Bayley's last two entries were quite revealing and the Rock was having a conference call with them about it.
Roman wondered what the big deal was, Bayley had been quiet since the weekend ended but he just assumed that was because Seth and Bianca had gone back to the East Coast and she missed them. He didn't realise there was more going on so he decided to sit in on the call and find out.
"Bayley I need you to tell me why the last two pages of your diary are smudged grey? It looks like you were crying as you wrote. I can't even make out the words, so please just tell me why you were so upset over the weekend?" Rocky asked Bayley who was rubbing the back of her neck anxiously.
"Just forget it you can use the stuff I wrote about earlier on," Bayley replied.
Sasha touched Bayley on the shoulder, "But the stuff you wrote was from our double date at Sugarfish, it would be a real shame if we didn't share that experience with the fans," Sasha said and Bayley shook her head.
"You mean your experience right?" Bayley said critically and Sasha smiled knowing she was referring to the make up sex she had with Seth in the bathroom.
"Not just my experience, what about your dress? You danced to Call Me Maybe with Rocky, you had a great time Bayls, that should definitely be included in the series," Sasha said.
"Can you please just tell me why those last few pages are so badly smudged? Bayley the whole point of this project is to share your diary with the world and it seems like something happened after we left the restaurant to really upset you. Why can't you tell me what happened when we got home?" Rocky asked concerned. "Bayley its really important that we have open communication, I won't always be around to see you and I need to know what's going on with you and make sure you're okay. Let's not keep any secrets okay? I think that would defeat the whole purpose of the diary,"
Bayley looked at Sasha, "Maybe we should just forget the whole Black Heart Diary thing," she said with a heavy heart and Sasha looked at her in shock.
"Are you crazy?! Bayley you're clearly upset about something, Rocky's right you have to tell us what happened after we left Sugarfish," Sasha said and Roman rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"Did you talk to Seth that night after Sasha and Rocky fell asleep?" he asked Bayley and she nodded. "Did you guys fight?"
"No," Bayley replied and her eyes welled up with tears again and her face crumbled like a broken sandcastle, "I'm sorry guys I can't do the web series anymore,"
Bayley started to cry and Roman embraced her while Sasha and Rocky spoke about what to do next.
"The first thing you need to do is call your husband and find out what he said to my girlfriend to get her so upset," Rocky said. "I really wish I could be there right now but I'm on set in Louisiana,"
"Don't worry Roman's comforting Bayley right now, I'll call my husband after RAW and find out what happened," Sasha said.
"Roman's there?" Rocky said, "hey Roman?"
"Yeah cus, I'm here," Roman replied caressing a distraught Bayley, "don't worry I'm with Bayley,"
"If you could let Sasha take care of Bayley I would really appreciate it. I need you to go find out what happened after we left Sugarfish. The Boss is pregnant and I don't want her getting into an argument with Seth right now," Rocky said and Roman furrowed his brow.
"What do you think Seth said to her?" Roman asked his cousin.
"I don't know but I got a feeling when I find out the living arrangements at my house might have to change," Rocky replied and Roman nodded. "I don't want any tension between Seth and Sasha so find out as much as you can and then get in touch with me, I'd rather Bayley spend time with Sasha instead of you,"
"What you think I'm gonna sleep with her too?" Roman joked but Rocky wasn't joking.
"Please just go see Seth and let me know what you find out," Rocky said.
"No problem cus, I'll fly out in the morning," Roman said.
"Its gonna be alright Bayley, I might not be there in person but I'm with you in my heart okay?" Rocky assured Bayley who was too upset to respond.
"She hears you she's just too upset to reply," Roman said and Rocky sighed concerned, "I'll talk to you tomorrow,"
"Thanks Roman, I'm looking forward to hearing what happened," Rocky said and he hung up.
Roman kissed Bayley and Sasha on the head and gave them a Big Dog hug before telling Dean Ambrose that he was heading back to New York to talk see Seth.
"Do you want me to go with you?" Dean asked him from the People's Couch with a glass of white wine in his hand. He pointed to the beer that he had saved for Roman, "that's for you,"
"Its 4pm," Roman said, "Happy Hour's not until 5,"
"What's another hour?" Dean replied and Roman sat down next to him. "So what's up with Bayley?"
"I don't know but I'm a find out," Roman replied.
"She barely said a word to us on Sunday, I thought she was just being quiet because we were all at church," Dean said.
"No there's definitely something wrong with her and Rocky thinks it has got something to do with Seth," Roman said and Dean narrowed his gaze.
"Seth? How'd he figure that? Bayley's like our lil sister, Seth would never say anything to upset her," Dean said and Roman nodded.
"I know but, there was a time when Bayley and Seth couldn't be in the same State let alone the same room. I hope nothing happened and that's she upset for another reason but when I mentioned Seth, she crumbled. Do you think he could have upset her?" Roman asked Dean.
Ambrose shook his head, "No way...unless, oh God," Dean said distressed and Roman looked at him for an answer. "You don't think Naked Bayley showed up do you?"
"Naked Bayley? I haven't seen that chick in months, why do you think Bayley would take her clothes off in front of Seth after all this time?" Roman said remembering how hot Naked Bayley was.
"She was wearing that crazy small black dress, she might as well have been wearing a sheet of A5 black paper. Don't you think its possible that Naked Bayley could have made her most unwelcome but enjoyable return and Seth turned her down again?" Dean said and Roman ran his hand over his face in irritation.
"That better not be what happened. Bayley's come so far this could ruin everything! We had such a good time on Saturday, why would Bayley make a move on Seth and ruin it for us all?!" Roman said and Dean Ambrose shrugged.
"Just find out before we assume the worst, if Seth says that Naked Bayley tried to seduce him, then we're done with Bayley. She's out of the Shield and she's out of Seth and Sasha's lives too," Dean Ambrose said and Roman furrowed his brow.
"That's not how we roll anymore Ambrose, we don't just kick out Shield members when they've done something wrong. Look at me, I cheated on my wife and I'm still in the Shield. If we kick Bayley out for returning to her old ways we're only treating the symptoms, we need to deal with the problem which is, why the Hell did Naked Bayley come back?" Roman said.
"Because Bayley's in love with Seth, that's why," came the familiar voice of Finn Balor.
"How did you get in here?" Dean said looking around for an open door.
"Alexa dropped me off, she's going back to New York now for RAW but she wanted me to tell you guys that she has a huge Christmas party planned and she expects you both to be there," Finn said sitting down next to Roman.
"I was planning a Christmas party!" Roman said.
"I guess you could do a joint thing," Finn said. "So Bayley's upset about Seth being in love with Sasha eh?"
"No she's not, she's been hanging out with them for weeks with no problem, how can she think like that after all this time we've been spending together?" Roman said.
"Just talk to Seth, I'm sure there's a logical reason for this," Dean said and Finn leaned back on the People's Couch thoughtfully.
"I hate to disappoint you Dean but when it comes to love, there is no logic," Finn said seeing a message on his phone from Steve Austin. He was meeting the legend at his home before heading with him to Dublin to get Becky Lynch on a flight to New York City. "I just wanted to stop by and let you know about Alexa's Christmas party, take care of Bayley, that girl is messed up and trust me, messed up girls are the most dangerous,"
As Finn Balor left the Rock's house Roman and Dean exchanged glances but for different reasons.
"How could Bayley still be in love with Seth after all this time?" Dean said pensively, "This means Renee was right and I have to buy her an extra special present for Christmas!"
"You think you got problems, I gotta share hosting duties with Alexa Bliss. I've never co-hosted a Christmas party in my life!" Roman said frustrated and the Shield vented on a night that presented the Hounds with many challenges both old and new.
