(Authors Note: In this chapter is the moment I've have wanted to write since the idea for this popped into my head; First meeting with Sans and Papyrus! Even if there still very young and you'll probably not see much of Papy and more Sans, you still get the brothers and you still get sans being smarter than he leads you to believe. Trust me on this, Sans will have a big role in helping free Gaster. Enjoy!)

Outback, the only thing was a dumpster and piles of snow. Well, that's what I thought. The flashing of blue caught my eye, leading me to the other side of the trash bin.

Huddled into the corner like a scared cat, was a small skeleton the size of a toddler. He had an orange bundle in his arms, as he looked up at me, frighteningly. He looked up at me with a single eye glowing blue, the other trying to flicker to life.

I let my purple eye glow for a second, seeing if that could calm him. His eye sockets seemed to get bigger, and he seemed less tense. I remember Dr. Gaster had done that when we met, and it had calmed me as well. Even if he started bleed black goop from his eyes...

Kneeling down to his level, I raised my hands in peace. "Hey, hey, I'm not going to hurt you," I said, smiling softly. "What 'cha doing out here little guy? Where's your parents?"

"Daddy's missing and mommy died last year," he said. His voice reminds me of the kids I knew in New Jersey. Or Brooklyn; heavily accented. "I'm not supposed to talk to strangers, miss."

I nodded. "That's a good rule," I said. "I'm Eve, what's your name?"

"Sans. Sans the skeleton," he said, before pulling back the fabric of the bundle. Another skeleton laid in his arms, sleeping from his closed eye sockets. "And this is my brother Papyrus, but I call him Papy."

"It's a pleasure to meet you Sans, and Papyrus," I said, sitting next to him. "What's your dad's name? Maybe I can help find him."

"W. D. Gaster," his little voice spoke out. "I haven't seen him in awhile. Have you seen him?"

I was taken back at his answer. Why didn't I put it together? They're all skeletons. It makes so much sense.

"I think I might have," I told him. "Hey, how about this; you come eat lunch with me and my friends, and I see if they know where your dad might be."

I know it's a long shot, but the good doctor did say that the only person who remembered him was young. His son. Maybe he knows how he got into the void.

The kid looked hesitant. But one look at his baby brother, he nodded. I got to my feet, helping him as well. I lead us back inside.

Asriel was back and talking to Luke, who looked worried. Three burgers sat on the table, along with drinks and fries.

"Guys, mind if we add two more to our table?" I asked, coming to stand at the table. The two looked startled to see the kids. Asriel moved to Luke's side, letting me bring the three of us in. "Um, I can explain?"

Luke crossed his arms at me, frowning. "You better," he said. "Where on earth did you find them?"

As I gave Sans my fries, biting my lower lip. "Boys, meet Dr. Gaster's sons; Sans and Papyrus." I said, watching their expectation. Luke had wide eyes while Asriel looked shocked. "I found them out back."

"Miss Eve, could you hold Papy for me?" Asked Sans, his eyes big and wide. Puppy dog eyes. I nodded, taking the youngest into my hands. He moved a little before getting settled. Now that i could look down at him, the baby had a red scarf around him plus the think orange blanket he was wrapped in. "Papy doesn't like when I wake him. It makes him cry."

Asriel was staring at the two kids, like he was deciding something. "Sans, where was the last place you saw your father?"

We all knew that the doctor was in the void, but I figured that maybe his son might know more than we do.

"At the lab, in Hotland," he said. "Daddy took us with him because he wanted to check how much my magic had grown."

The flower nodded. "Do you know what happened to your dad?" His eyes watched him carefully.

The toddler nodded. "He fell into the Core."

Asriel looked up at him in shock, at the mention of the Core. I glanced at Luke, wondering his he knew what the place was. But he looked just as confused.

Before I could ask a question, the door to the bar opened and in came Sydney. She had a bag on her arm, and her face looked as red as the ketchup that Sans was drinking.

"There you three are," she said, taking off her winter cap. "And who are these two?"

I did introductions again, though this time Luke finished off for me.

She made the boys move over, sitting down next to Luke. One look at the two children, and she smiled. "Well, are you planning on bringing them with you guys?"

We stared at her, blinking. "Well, uh, I mean, if they want to come," Luke said, glancing at me. I shrugged. I was fine with them coming, but it depends on the boys. "It's not a great idea to bring children on missions though…"

Sans looked up at Luke with a single glowing blue eye. "Please? I wanna find Daddy," he said. If the kid had lips, I bet he would be pouting. "Daddy said he'll be back and I want daddy. Can I pretty please come with you guys?"

I followed the skeletons lead, pouting at my friend. "Please Luke? I don't want to leave these two behind," I picked up a fries and waved it in front of his face. "Do it or no more potatoes for you, Chicken Breath."

His green eyes glared at me slightly, before grabbing he fries and sighing in defeat. Luke started muttering when he placed it back with the rest of his fries, "One time getting eggs from a coup and this happens..." His eyes met mine for one moment before nodded. "Find, but do you really think we could take care of both a toddler and a baby?" I shrugged before an idea popped into my mind. Luke gave me a raised eyebrow. "What?"

"Sans, if you go, is it ok if Papyrus stays with Ms. Sidney here until we get back?" I said, motioning down at the skeleton baby in my arms. He had woken some time during our talk, looking at the world with two glowing orange eyes. "I promise that he would be safer with her than traveling with us, ok?"

Sidney butted in. "Yeah, I got plenty of toys he could play with from my younger brothers and sisters," she said, smiling at the boy. He looked uncertainly at her, like she was lying with her words. "Hey, if it makes you feel better, Asriel can stay behind and help watch over him if you want."

"What?" the flower boy said, looking up at his big sister like she had just taken all the pie.

"If Papy is safe, and you promise not to hurt him, or let anyone hurt him, then sure," he was very mature for a boy who had to be at lest four. Not even Gabby acts like this, and she 9. He looked up at me. "When are we leaving Ms. Eve?"

I looked at Luke, who shrugged. Glancing over at the two residents of this place, I sighed. "Tomorrow," I said. "But for now, let's get you two cleaned up."
