Hello! I'm back! For the most part. I got my computer fixed awhile ago, but I was so busy with work I didn't have time. I'm super sorry! I also know this is short, but I'm just trying to remember everything I wanted to do with this story. I had most of it written down, but next chapter will be longer! I'm already working on it too!

It was another Saturday morning and Oliver Davis was in his office at home reading. He was reading over a couple new case files. Which really weren't catching his attention at all. His eyes moved to that same notebook he had thrown away a week ago. He had taken it back out once he settled, but it was still bugging him. In the end nothing made sense to him.

"Oliver!" His mother came barging into his office, like normal. "I have to get going soon for the event, but you need to make sure you show up. Try and socialize too!" Then she was out of the room again.

He just let out a sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose. Usually he wouldn't bother, but it might be the only chance to know. The mystery person that Lin, Madoka, and Yasu were hiding. There was no way around it if he showed up. He would know.

-EEEEEE-

"Mai! Yasu!" Martin sprinted over and stopped in front of the two. He held a huge smile on his face. "I want you guys to meet my wife!"

Sure enough there was an older lady following after the professor. Luella smiled seeing them. "It's so nice to meet you. I'm Luella Davis." She held out her hand waiting for one of them to react.

Which they both already knew. Mai smiled though and moved to shake Luella's hand. "I'm Mai Taniyama. Professor Davis talks a lot about you in class. You also teach a couple classes with psychopathology, right? I'm planning on taking a couple once I enter my third year at Cambridge."

Luella blinked completely surprised, but her smile grew. "Oh really? Did you happen to do any classes in Japan? Oh! I also heard things from Martin about you two."

"Introduction to General Psychology, Introduction to Drugs and Behavior, and Introduction to Abnormal Psychology. We both did the basics in Japan, since we had time with our regular classes. I decided to also include Psychology of Education though."

"What were your regular classes? Martin said you went to Tokyo University, right?" Luella was very curious about her husband's students. Especially if they were interested in Psychology.

"I did Sociology for the most part, but I also took a couple law classes that I thought were beneficial for me." Mai glanced at Yasu and smiled basically telling him to speak.

"Oh! I'm Osamu Yasuhara!" He grinned and took Luella's hand shaking it. "My major was World Literature. I also took a couple law classes with Mai though."

"It sounds like you were busy in college, but there is nothing wrong with that. Right?" Luella smiled as she finally took her hand back. "How did you guys find yourselves in the world of Parapsychology?"

"A lot happened in the past for us and in the end we couldn't turn away." Mai's features soften just remembered the past with the whole group. A lot really did happen and she wouldn't trade it for anything else. "Anyways, we love Parapsychology and everything it has to offer. There is a lot to learn and has yet to yet be learned."

"That's exactly how my favorite students should think!" Martin cut in excitedly. "I wish my son was here to meet you guys." He turned to his wife very curious about where the man was. "Has Oliver came yet?"

Mai couldn't help but bit her lip at the mention of Naru. She still wasn't sure how she was going to react when she finally saw him. Or how he was going to react. She figured he would try to skip out on this event and she was probably right by the sound of it.

"I told him not to be late, but you know Oliver. He probably got sidetracked by a case file or something." Luella sighed deeply shaking her head. "I wish he would try and socialize or something."

Mai could understand those words. Especially when she worked for the man, but now…she really wouldn't mind staying in to read case files. She still liked going out and what not, but case files. Not to mention books in general. She was weak especially if a case seems really interesting. She's probably changed a little too much from her past self when she knew Naru.

Mai shoved all the feelings that were coming up and smiled at the older couple. "If your son shows up we wouldn't mind being introduce to him. Anyways, do you mind if we go around and socialize? I'm pretty sure I saw someone we know and I want to go greet him."

"Oh! Yes! Of course! You guys need to spread your wings and go mingle around. Don't let us stop you!" Martin basically dragged his wife away to go meet his other students.

Luella's eyes stayed on Mai for a moment before finally turning away to follow her husband.

Mai let out a sigh as she relaxed. Yasu moved to rub her back a little. "You doing okay? You seemed a little out of it for a moment."

"I'm fine. For a second I thought Naru was going to be with Martin and then memories…This is stressful." Mai ran a hand through her hair just to get her nerves to settle down.

"Mai! Osamu!" The older man that they had seen was walking up to them. "I haven't seen you guys since your trip to Kyoto." The man stopped in front of them smiling. There was a small group behind him you seemed pretty curious about the two.

Yasu grinned and shook his hand. "Professor Richardson, it's so nice to see you again."

Ethan Richardson is a professor in the United States who teaches Reiki. He works out of one of the colleges in New York City. They happened to meet him when he was in Kyoto one year and they e-mailed each other once in a while.

"It's been a few years! Oh, I must introduce you to my companions." He scooted to the side and pulled the first one up. "This is Alarik Barton, he's a professor at a college in Germany and he studies mostly astrology and stuff along that line."

"Hello, it's very nice to meet you." The said man had very long brown hair and a little scruff of a beard. His accent was very thick though as he spoke English.

Mai and Yasu both greeted the man and shook his hand.

"I'm Vonda Porter, I'm a professor in Canada and I do a little bit of everything. Mostly tarot, palmistry, symbolisms, and wicca." She had shorter black hair that was extremely curly and was probably a little older than Ethan.

"I used to teach here, but I ended up retiring a couple years ago. I did a lot with pendulums and crystals." The oldest out of all them smiled gently towards them. "I'm Vinson Frost."

Mai's eyes widen at the name. "No way! I have all your books! I started looking into pendulums when I was in Kyoto. It was something I kind of stumbled upon, but it's a very interesting subject."

Vinson smiled at her. "I didn't realize someone out there was still reading my books. It's been a pretty long time since I met someone interested in the subject."

Mai blinked a little confused. "Really? Crystals and pendulums can be used for certain things in aura reading and healing. I would think a lot of people would be interested in it."

Vinson hummed thinking for a moment on how to explain it. "I guess it's just going out of style?"

"No, I think just your way of explaining things are way too complicated." Alarik cut into the conversation with the most indifferent face for his words. Which caused everyone to turn to look at the man.

Vonda and Ethan were the first ones to break into a laughing fit though. Vinson looked at his friend with the look of betrayal. "It's not that complicated! It's just the basic knowledge. Everyone should be able to understand it!" Mai and Yasu both looked at each other before also breaking out in laughter. "No. Not you guys too."

For the next couple hours they spent their time talking about various things. Ethan decided to tell a pretty long story about an old adventure that involved Mount Everest and a weird reiki session. It was a little weird, but Mai enjoyed the story. Vonda and Alarik told them a story about a haunting that turned out to be just their teacher pulling a prank on them. Apparently, when they were younger they did a lot of ghost hunting together. Vinson added little things here and there with some of the stories. Apparently, he was around for a lot of the adventures. They were having a great time, and once in a while someone would introduce themselves and add their own stories to the conversation.

"Look at them. I was a little worried that I would need to introduce them to some people myself, but they are doing great." Martin was eating some of the random finger sandwiches that were around the food table. He was relaxing by his wife as he stared at the ever growing group.

Luella had also been watching the group. They seemed really nice, but there was one thing bugging her. "Do they look familiar to you?"

Martin just blinked completely confused. "No? Should they?" He noticed his phone vibrating in his pocket and he wasted no time in digging it out.

"Maybe it's nothing then…"

"Oliver should be here soon." Martin moved to show the message to his wife. "I thought he was going to avoid the party. That means I can have those four meet him. Great!"

-EEEEEE-

The party was finally starting to wind down and Mai found herself outside away from everyone for the moment. There was a small balcony attached to the conference room and it was a nice little set up to get away from everyone. Everyone else was so caught up in talking that it was easy to slip away. Madoka and Lin had joined the group at some point and the group grew pretty big. It's not like Mai minded being surrounded by people, but sometimes you just needed a breather. Especially since it's been a little over five hours since they arrived.

Oliver was more than likely in the room, but she had no idea where he was at. There was a pretty big commotion about an hour ago, so that was mostly likely caused by him. Lin had disappeared around that time too, so it made sense.

Mai sighed deeply and leaned against the railing to relax. It was only a couple minutes later before she felt someone come up beside her. "I'm surprise you aren't with Naru." She glanced over to see Lin leaning against the railing.

"Martin is looking for you, so he's dragging him around." Lin didn't glance at Mai as he talked.

"Does he know?"

"No." Lin finally glanced over at her finally asking her what's been bothering him. "Something happened between you guys, right?"

Mai smiled before pulling away from the railing. "I'm going to find my professor." She turned ready to leave, but Lin reached over to stop her.

"Mai…"

"Oh! There you are I was looking everywhere for you!" Martin literally came out of nowhere with a huge grin on his face. "I want you to meet my son!" He was already grabbing for Mai and pulling her, which caused Lin to let go automatically.

"Dear, you're going to hurt her." Luella was standing off to the side patiently waiting for her husband.

Mai was going to say something, but whatever she wanted to say wouldn't come out. Her eyes locked with a pair of dark blue eyes. Martin was talking about something, but she couldn't focus on that at the moment.

Naru was older, obviously, it's been five years! His body and face have aged and it was obvious that he kept in shape. He was not a teenager anymore. Not by a long shot. His hair had even grew out a little and was a little all over the place at the moment. Also, he still had that same calculating look in his eyes that he always seemed to have.

Mai decided pretty quickly that this was way too much for her. She knew this was going to happen at some point, but she didn't realize how unprepared for it she was. Everything suddenly felt very constricting and she couldn't breathe right. Her eyes widen as a flash of red covered her vision in a quick second before she fell to the floor.

"Mai!" Lin and Yasu were down shaking her trying to wake her up and seeing what was wrong. Naru had been so shocked seeing the young girl that he couldn't react right away.

There was soft music playing was the first thing she heard opening up her eyes. Mai was groggy and it felt like her limbs were on fire. She was sitting in a wooden rocking chair set by the window. It was dark and there was nothing else in the room beside a table that held a music box. Where the music was coming from. The light in the room was very dim and it almost seemed like it would go out any second.

"H-Hello…?" Mai's voice trembled as she stood up from the chair. Her mind and heart raced as she looked around for anything. There was one huge metal door that probably lead out of the room. Her legs felt like they were burning almost like she hasn't stood up for a very long time.

With no idea what was happening she felt herself starting to walk towards the door. Something was drawing her to walk towards it. Once she was there she tugged the handle and the door slid opened without much effort. Which…was interesting since she wasn't in Japan anymore. She walked out of the room and walked into the hallway. She looked both ways as she tried to figure out where she was even at. There were other doors down the hallway on each side with the exact door.

She decided to go down the hallway that was basically screaming at her senses. It was almost like her body already knew the way to where she wanted to go, but she had no idea what was happening.

There was nothing on the walls and you couldn't really see inside the rooms from the small window on the metal doors. It reminded her of a psych ward or something along those lines. It looked quite old though from how worn down it was. Her room was completely fine though, so it didn't make sense.

She finally came to a room that almost looked like a cafeteria and her eyes widen as she sensed someone behind her. Before she could react there was an arm around her and lips pressed against her cheek.

"Hello…my love." It was a man's voice and he turned her head so he could give her a proper kiss. "Are you feeling better?"

It was at this point she couldn't control herself and her words. "Where were you?" Mai turned to face the man properly and finally take in his appearance.

The man was a lot taller than her and had very dirty brown hair. By dirty it was obviously not washed for a very long time. He wore very torn up jeans and also a very dirty sweatshirt. It was obviously stained in multiple spots and she was more than sure it was blood.

The man rolled his eyes as he passed her and Mai went right after him. For whatever reason wanting to beside the man. "You got really sick and I had to get medicine and food for you." He pulled out a bottle of pills. "You feel better right? You should be thanking me."

She took the bottle carefully and opened it up to take a couple of said pills. "I don't want you to leave…" She mumbled as she stepped closer.

The man gave her an annoyed look and grabbed her hair roughly. "You're kind of annoying the shit out me. I can do whatever the hell I want. Got that?"

Mai didn't react much and stared at the other with wide eyes. "You're mine. You're not allowed to leave me. Ever."

He sighed deeply and pulled his hand away. "You're so damn weird…I understand. I still need to get supplies and you know that." He leaned down and tugged her hair as hard as he could and sealed their lips.
