Pvt. Marcus Pakowski was never going to be ready for kids anytime soon. So when he finds himself as the unintentional adopter of an alien child, naturally he has no idea what to do...at all. It turns out that this kid is more self sufficient that he initially thought, however she knows nothing about her past. Adventures ensue as the two grow closer and become family.

10. An Update on Phoenix

Greetings my squishy subjects! It is I; the Empress of Ravaging and Destroyer of Worlds!

The human writing this story survived his first semester of college and started his break last Friday, and he'll be off for six weeks. I'm happy that he's made it through his first semester...BUT I'M MAD THAT HE HASN'T WRITTEN ANYTHING SINCE HE GOT OUT! UGH! All he does is work and play Black Ops Zombies!

...but it's kind of funny when he gets all angry when he gets his butt kicked by a mob of zombies though. I'm not saying that he sucks, because he is definitely getting better and it's fun to watch him when he really starts kicking butt and gets to higher rounds.

Two days ago I started poking him and demanding why he hasn't been writing anything while he was watching TV. He said that he was a little burnt out from college and just wanted to relax for a little bit. He said he was going to start writing again on Monday, but he didn't do anything yesterday, so I poked him again last night after he got home from work and demanded an answer.

He said that he was still a little burnt out, and him being pretty busy at work the past few days didn't really help things. He then said that he was thinking about taking a week off to de-stress and recover from college before he started writing again. Obviously this displeased me. I wanted to drag him over and make him start writing right then and there, but that would be pretty mean. I have reluctantly decided to allow him to take the week off and not write anything. So he'll be back on December 21st.

BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN I'M GOING TO LET HIM GET OFF EASILY! I'M THE RULER OF THE UNIVERSE, AND I DON'T LISTEN TO ANYONE, NOT EVEN THE AUTHOR WHO CREATED ME!

I'm letting him take the week off, but I'm gonna bug him every once in a while and make him give me attention. I think I'm also going to force him to be my cuddle buddy while I'm visiting him since he's basically my actual creator. Maybe I'll also hog his bed and make him sleep on the floor for my own amusement while I'm at it?

Oh well, I'll figure something out. I'll make sure he starts writing again next week so you human's don't have to wait too long for a new chapter.
