Chapter 12

"What the hell do you mean you wanna back out of the bet?" Jack yelled thru the cellphone in his hands, there was total silence on the other end. So much that it was starting to drive Jack crazy "As I said." Hiccup finally replied "I don't wanna do it anymore. You can kick me out of the big six, you can even shun and ridicule me for the rest of the school year but I won't hurt Anna and there's nothing you can say to convince me otherwise."

"You want out. That's fine by me" Jack said grinning slyly "Just remember, you brought this on yourself"

Before Hiccup could ask what he meant, the line went dead on the other end. "Damit!" Jack threw his cellphone against the wall and stormed out of his room he didn't even bother to grab his keys as he headed out the door in full scheming mode "Hiccup Haddock I'll make you pay for this. I swear this on my life..."

"How dare you spend the night at some boy's house without my permission! How dare you!" Elsa who was still holding onto her stinging cheek was refusing to even look at her mother if she did she'd only get hit again. "Tell me what was going thru your mind when you did something so downright unladylike!?"

"I- I don't know" Was all Elsa could say, causing her mother to continue screaming "do you realize what the neighbors are going to say?" who cares what people say Elsa wanted to shout I didn't do anything wrong! Still her heart and head advised against it so she kept her head lowered until her mother finally said she could go to her room, once she got up there she immediately fished inside her bag for her cellphone and hit herself over the head when she couldn't find it, "Damn I must have left it at Jack's house." She thought to herself, "and it doesn't look like I'm gonna go back there any time soon."

Getting an idea she decided to try and sneak over to Anna's room to ask for a favor but when she went to open the door it was locked. "No..." Elsa struggled to wrench the door open as if that would help "Mother, what are you doing!?" She found herself shouting "This is crazy, you can't lock me in here like an animal. Mother answer me!"

Realizing it was useless she stepped away from the door and put her hand over her chest as she began to hyperventilate "C'mon Els, calm down!" She told herself "No good has ever come from you freaking out like this!" She closed her eyes trying to settle herself down but when she opened them she began to panic further. She saw Ice forming on the door and window.

"Get it together" She recited "Conceal, don't feel...Don't feel!" It did no good, pretty soon her entire room was covered in Ice. She continued trying to will the Ice to melt but nothing happened. She was letting her emotions control her and it wasn't doing her any good. Still, she couldn't really control herself while being locked up like she was.

A small tap at the door caught her attention "E-Elsa?"

"Oh, Anna!"

She ran towards the door and started jiggling the doorknob again.

"What's going on in there, why is there Ice on the door?" She asked worriedly.

"Anna it's no use!" She cried "I can't seem to make it stop, it's just getting worse!"

Anna could tell her sister was panicking and though her mother had forbidden her from opening the door while she went in to work to correct some paperwork Anna snuck into her mother's room and found the key hidden in her makeup drawer.

By the time she got back Elsa was shouting for her "Anna, where'd you go! Please come back!" She was shouting.

"I'm here!" Anna called back "I'm gonna get you out don't worry"

"No you can't, the entire door is frozen even if you somehow get the key..."

Ignoring her Anna stuck the key in the doorknob but when it didn't work she dropped it and started banging her side against the door, it didn't take long for her arm to start aching but she continued at it until Elsa finally shouted "Anna stop it! Its no use!"

She began sobbing again, Anna suddenly felt a slight chill she then realized the snow was making its way out of Elsa's room and into the hallway. 'This is not good' Anna couldn't help but think 'if this keeps up the entire house will freeze over'

"Think anna, think!" An idea suddenly popped into her head and she put both hands over the door "Ok, Elsa listen to me your powers are based on your emotions. If you replace your bad thoughts with good ones then the ice will stop. Now choose one good memory and use it to melt the Ice."

"A-Anna I've tried that but it's not working!" She shouted, causing a blizzard to form in her room. This caused her to panic even more "Anna help me!" She pleaded.

"I already told you what to do!" Her sister called thru the other end of the door "Els, think back to when we were smaller, and when mom and dad's fighting would wake us up every night."

"How is that gonna help!" Elsa yelled. She was now sitting in the fetal position with her head in her hands.

"Remember how I would get so scared and run into your room?"

Elsa opened one eye, "Y-Yeah?"

"You would let me get into the bed with you. You remember what you always used to tell me when I did that?" She could see the Ice on the door slowly beginning to melt away "You'd say don't worry Anna, I got you. Remember that?"

"How could I forget" Elsa smiled as she slowly got to her feet.

"Well, the same goes for me. I got your back for life sis, and I always will."

Anna backed away as the Ice all melted away, she watched as Elsa opened the door "Y-You mean that?"

"Cross my heart."

"Oh Anna."

The two hugged and the Ice that had been covering Elsa's room a couple of seconds ago was now completely thawed out. The only after affects of the snowstorm were a couple of Elsa's things were now scattered all over the floor.

"What a mess..."

Elsa couldn't help but smile "Yeah," Before cracking her knuckles "Well it isn't gonna clean itself. Looks like I better get to it."

"And I'll help!" Anna chimed in, her cellphone suddenly went off and she quickly answered "Hello?" The line suddenly went dead and Anna stared at it in utter confusion, Elsa noticed her sister's distress "Who was it?" She asked picking a framed photo of her and Anna off the floor, "I don't know. they hung up before I could say anything."

"well, that's kinda weird..."

"Yeah...Ah forget about it, let's get to work"

"Ok!"

The two girls were so hard at work upstairs they didn't hear the front door jiggling or the lock being picked. It took the stranger about a minute to successfully unlock the door by then the girl next to him who had duct tape in her left hand and a blade in the other rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"Took you long enough, dumbass. Now c'mon let's get this over and done with."

"You got it Vi, Say why do you think the boss want's this girl anyway?"

"I don't know and I don't care" The girl shrugged "All I know is he's paying us a ton of money to do this job so let's just grab the girl and collect our pay. Oh and Nuka..." The boy opening the front door eyed her curiously "Aw what now, I'm just itching to get started here."

Though annoyed by his behavior she let his response slide for the moment "Leave the girl to me." She said, "I don't want a repeat of what happened last time."

The boy's mouth gaped open "Oh for fucks sake Vitani you're never gonna let that go are you? all I did was draw a little blood how was I suppose to know that the stupid guy would bleed out that fast..."

She grabbed him by the shirt collar and pulled him down to her level "Listen Dipshit there's to much riding on this for you to go and screw it up so I'm telling you one more time. Leave. The girl. To me. Understand!?"

He lifted his hands in defeat "Alright, Fine. You win, like always." Though he wasn't happy about admitting defeat so quickly, the two then entered the house and the girl slowly shut it behind her. She was grinning from ear to ear as she played with the blade in her hands "Let's begin shall we?"
