Chapter twelve: 4-month time skip and more unexpected news
I smile as Elliot starts driving to my obgyn's office. He parks the car and turns it off and we both get out of the car and he locks the car doors behind him. We walk in and I check-in at the front desk. Olivia Benson, she calls me back smiling. I walk back with Elliot by my side. I walk into the room and sit on the bed. First child, she asks me. This is my first but Elliot here has five other kids from a previous marriage, I say. I roll my shirt up as she puts the gel on my stomach. She rubs the wand around the gel. Well, guys, it's twins you're getting a boy and a girl, she says. I laugh as she wipes the gel off of my stomach.
