Emma woke up with a sleeping Regina in her arms. She loved that Regina was the first thing she saw in the morning. Emma peppered Regina's neck with kisses trying to wake her up. Regina just groaned and moved Emma's face with her hand. "Wake up sleepyhead." Emma laughed. Emma started kissing Regina's neck again but Regina wasn't having it.
"Emma stop and let me sleep, I'm exhausted," Regina whined. Emma gave in and let her sleep. Regina has been really tired lately. So Emma just let her be and got out of the bed.
Emma got dressed and went outside for some fresh air. She loved going outside, it helped her clear her mind. Emma walked to the river that was a good distance away from the castle.
When Emma arrived she saw her brother sitting in the grass. "Looks like you found my spot." Emma smiled. Graham just shrugged, not saying a word. "What's up with you Graham?" Emma asked.
"You got her pregnant Emma." Said Graham. He wasn't very happy to her that Emma had gotten the Evil Queen pregnant
"Do you have a problem with that?" Emma asked in an angry tone. She didn't know why Graham was being like this. When he had his outburst at dinner she had a feeling something was up. I mean he's her brother, why would he not be excited for her? Why is he not happy with being an uncle?
"Yes I have a problem with it. You just turned 20 and now you're having a baby with the Evil Queen." Said Graham.
Emma's blood began to boil. "Her name is Regina and why can't you be happy for me Graham!" Emma yelled.
"Because she's brainwashing you Emma. She doesn't love you can't you see that. She'll probably just find a way to get rid of your bastard child!" He yelled back.
That was the last straw for Emma. She punched Graham in the face knocking him to the ground. Emma jumped on top of him and repeatedly struck him in the face. His blood covered her hands but she didn't care. Emma struck him one more time in the face. "Don't you ever in your life call my child a bastard!" Emma yelled slamming his head into the ground. Emma got off of Graham and looked down at him as he coughed up blood. Emma walked away heading back to the castle.
When Emma got back she went straight for the bedroom. When she walked in Regina was sitting at her vanity looking into her mirror. Regina looked at Emma and could tell something was wrong. " Emma are you ok?" She asked concerned. Emma just walked past her without saying anything. Regina looked down and there was a trail of blood following Emma.
Emma roughly washed her hands trying to get the blood of them before Regina saw them. It was already too late. "Emma what happened?" Asked Regina. Emma still didn't answer and kept scrubbing off the blood that just wouldn't come off. "Emma, look at me!" Regina yelled.
Emma punched the bathroom mirror, cutting herself and adding more blood on her. "Leave me alone!" Emma yelled back walking away. Regina grabbed Emma by her shoulder and pulled her into a deep kiss.
Regina cupped Emma's cheeks. "Baby let me help you." Regina begged.
"I don't know if you can." Emma said moving past Regina. Regina stood there with a sad expression on her face, taking a breath she tried again.
"Emma what happened?" Regina asked quietly, walking towards Emma.
"Nothing happened Regina what the fuck aren't you understanding!" Emma yelled making Regina jump.
"Ok, Emma," Regina said, putting on her silk robe and walking out of the room leaving Emma alone.
Regina walked to the library on the verge of tears, why was she crying. Yes she wanted to make Emma feel better but Emma made it clear that whatever happened she wasnt to get involved. Hormones have to be what's making her like this right. Running her fingers through her hair Regina paced outside of the library, trying to figure what pissed Emma off and to that extent it had to be something bad.
Regina heard a groan and turned to see a pretty beat up Graham, "Oh my God!, Graham are you Ok, who did this to you?" Regina fussed looking at his wounds.
"You really care that I'm hurt?" Graham asked confused.
"You say that as if I'm heartless, I only care about the people within the castle walls," Regina said. Making a wet towel appear in her hands to wipe the blood off his face.
"Even Emma?" He questioned grabbing her wrist,"
"Of course, when I first found out about her the thought of being with her intimately never crossed my mind. But she was nice, she cared when no one did even at my attempts to keep her at arms length, she listened and understood my pain and now I can't see life without her. I shouldn't be telling you this but she means a lot to me I care about her more than I do myself," Regina said as Graham released her wrist allowing her to tend to his wounded face.
"I'm sorry Regina I said some things to Emma that I now regret and um-"
"Emma did this to you?" Regina said shocked.
"Regina get away from him!" Emma yelled storming down the hall towards them.
"Emma what the hell is going on with you why did you hurt your brother!" Regina yelled as Emma came closer
"He's lucky Thats all I did about what he said, he fucking deserved it and he knows it!" Emma yelled lunging for Graham's neck.
"Stop it dammit!" Regina yelled pushing Emma back.
"Emma you're right and I'm sorry, I was wrong ok and Regina here made me realize how wrong I was, I was just worried I thought you were getting taken advantage of, but I realized I was hugely mistaken. So I'm sorry," Graham said confusing Regina but calming Emma down.
"Are you serious or are you trying to keep me from being pissed at you?" Emma questioned.
"I'm serious," Graham said with a smile.
"Now hug this out please I would like to go back to sleep," Regina said.
Emma and Graham stared at each other before embracing each other. "I'm sorry about your face," Emma said.
"And I'm sorry for my bad judgement," Graham exclaimed, pulling away from his sister.
"Now that all of that is settled Graham would you like me to heal your face with magic?" Regina asked.
"Please," he begged, stepping towards Regina.
Once his face was healed Graham made his way downstairs saying something about training. While Emma and Regina made they're way back to their chambers. Once the adrenaline left Regina's body the soreness from last night's activities slipped in.
"Dammit Emma," Regina growled her walk falling into a limp.
"What? Oh," Emma said laughing then going to pick Regina who wrapped her legs around the blonde waist comfortably.
When they got back in the room Emma laid Regina on the bed then climbed on top of her kissing her neck. "Not today dear," Regina remarked with a smirk.
"I can make it quick," Emma said with a smile removing her head from the crooke of Regina's neck.
"No," Regina said, getting a sigh from Emma.
"Fine," Emma said, laying her head on Regina's belly.
"Hey little guy, it's your daddy here and I know it's a lot going on right now, but I want you to know that when you come into the world you will be welcome with open arms no matter how you look." Emma whispered into Regina's belly, making Regina's eyes water.
"You know you'll make a lovely mother," Emma remarked as Regina raked her hands through Emma's short locks.
"You really think so," Regina said with a smile.
"I know so," Emma said, pecking Regina on the nose before flipping them over so Regina was on top of her. Regina scrunched her nose making the cutest face.
"Don't kiss my nose," Regina whined tiredly.
"I will kiss you wherever I want," Emma grinned, making Regina huff.
"Lunch is severed!" Granny yelled bursting through the doors making them both jump.
"What the hell Granny we could've been naked!" Emma yelled with wide eyes.
"Yeah yeah yeah, anyways you two missed breakfast so here's lunch," Granny said sitting the tray of food on the bed.
"Thank you Granny," Regina said thankfully taking a big bite out of her sandwich and moaning out. "This is good," Regina said, swallowing her food. Emma and Granny burst out laughing while Regina sat there confused.
"What?" Regina exasperated.
"I haven't seen that happy to eat food in a long time," Granny chuckled, making Regina blush deeply. "Well I'll leave you two, and don't be late for dinner," Granny said before walking out the room.
"I have a headache," Regina stated, sitting her sandwich down.
"You didn't have one five minutes ago," Emma said.
"I know, but I have one now," Regina said, breathing in sharply. "I need a bucket," Regina said, gagging, while Emma quickly made a bucket appear, handing it to Regina who immediately started to regurgitate the sandwich she just ate and maybe last night dinner.
Emma pulled Regina's hair back as she groaned with her head in the bucket. "This is so disgusting," Reginas said before gagging again.
Once Regina got finished puking she demanded for Emma to get the bucket out of her sight which she did without question.
"Do you want to finish eating?" Emma asked, earning a glare from Regina.
"Does it look like I still want to eat, the sight alone makes me want to be sick again," Regina snapped.
"Ok," Emma says, getting up and sitting the tray of the scraps outside their door while Regina laid down in the bed and got comfortable in the blankets.
Emma walked back over to the double King sized bed covered with Red silk sheets. Getting into the bed Emma pulled Regina close to her, "I'm going to have to go in a bit to train with the guards and Graham," Emma whispered to the dozing brunette.
"Stay till I fall asleep," Regina mumbled half awake.
"Of course," Emma whispered tracing patterns on Regina's skin until she fell asleep. After a couple minutes of laying there listening to Regina's breathing, Emma got up and changed into her armour before poofing on the training ground where hundreds of their knights were battling against each other.
"You ready to take me up on that training?" Mal asked, appearing behind Emma.
"Dammit, Mal weren't looking for that warrior with Belle?" Emma said whipping around towards the blonde.
"Yes, and we found her it was rather easy, she decided to hide out in a cave like an animal," Mal said in an amused tone before throwing a large fireball at her.
Regina tossed and turned as the vision played out in her dream.
She was chained while two white kingdom knights walked her to what looked like a cell. Regina looked down to see her belly was way bigger than it was before. Regina turned and there she was on the blazing battle field again cannons going off around her making her ears ring. Regina turned to her right to see Snow white standing there with her bow and arrow aimed at her and before she could move everything went black.
"Emma!" Regina screamed in the darkness.
"Hello Regina," Snow said, appearing in the darkness wearing the same outfit she was wearing when she set up that attack on Regina's kingdom years ago. THe black riding pants with the white coat.
"Snow!" Regina growled, "Where the hell am I," Regina demanded.
"It doesn't matter because either way your going to die and I will take Emma back forever,"
"No!" Regina screamed as Snow stabbed her in the stomach.
"Emma!" Regina screamed bolting up in the bed her body covered in a layer of sweat.
" Don't worry she's on her way, I sent for her as soon as it started," Granny said, trying to reassure the queen.
Regina broke down sobbing her body shaking as Snow's words replayed in her head. "S-she's g-g-going to take her a-a-and k-kill us," Regina sobbed as Emma burst through the doors, her eyes immediately landing on Regina and her tear soaked face.
"Emma," Regina sobbed running into the blondes arms on the verge of a panic attack.
"Hey I'm here now, I'm not going anywhere," Emma reassured as they sank to the floor, her fingers raking through Regina's hair. Granny watched as Regina slowly calmed in Emma's arms. "You had a vision didn't you?" Emma questioned quietly as Mal walked into the room seeing the scene before her.
"She was there Emma and she's going to kill us, me and our child" Regina said quietly gripping Emma's shirt as more tears flowed down her cheeks.
"You mean-"
"Yes," Regina interrupted knowing exactly what Emma was about to ask.
"I won't allow it," Emma growled stepping away from Regina.
"What are you going to do?" Regina said, grabbing Emma's hand.
"I'm going to kill her," Emma said
"you can't!" Regina screamed, "It won't help it and it damn well won't change it, Emma," Regina said panting, the screaming making her out of breath.
"Well I have to try," Emma said disappearing in a cloud of red smoke.
Emma appeared into the armory looking for her sword. She got frustrated looking around for it. There were a lot of swords in the room but they weren't hers. The room was very disorganized, some swords belonged to the knight and wooden swords. Emma's sword was nowhere to be found. "How the hell am I supposed to find my sword in all this rubble," Emma said, kicking over a box.
"Hey, Hey, Hey it's right here calm down. I was just sharpening it for you. It was dull as hell, you couldn't even kill a pig with it." Graham said, trying to calm his sister down. He had no idea what his sister was so angry about.
Emma took the sword from him. "Thanks, I haven't really had time to sharpen it. I don't understand why Regina doesn't get servants or something. The guards and knights can't be the maids and the line of defense." Emma huffed out.
"You guys don't have servants?" Graham asked.
"Nope, not even one," Emma said, throwing her hands up.
"No wonder why this place is so unorganized," Graham said, giving Emma a look. "But what do you need your for?" He asked.
Emma's demeanor became cold when she heard the question. "I'm going to kill Snow," Emma said with no emotion. Graham's eyes got big when he heard his sister's response.
"Snow as in our mother?" He asked, shocked.
"She's not my mother Graham, she's never been, my mother," Emma said coldly.
"Emma she's our mother period, she gave birth to us, Snow loves us," Graham explained.
"Snow never loved me, Graham! She loved you and only you. You were the normal child, the only child that's not a freak!" Emma yelled.
"Emma just think about what you're doing don't just rush into this. This is a big decision." Graham said, trying to calm Emma down.
"Regina can see the future well at least possible futures. She saw Snow killing her and our unborn child. There is no way in hell I'm going to let that happen. I can die but Regina can't. I won't allow it, we may be immortal but there is a way to end it. Just like how the dark one has his dagger, there's a way to kill us." Emma said looking down.
"Do what you think you have to do Emma, but I don't support this decision. That doesn't mean I don't support you because I always will. I love you, Emma tell mother I said goodbye." Said Graham with a single tear coming from his eye.
"I will tell her and... I love you too Graham." Emma said before she disappears in a cloud of red smoke.
Emma arrived in her parent's chambers to them arguing. They stopped when they saw Emma standing there. "Just like when I was a kid. The arguing never stops does it." Emma says coldly.
"Emma you've finally come home." Snow says excitedly but David knew Emma wasn't coming back to be part of the kingdom.
"I'm not here to come back mother, I'm here to do something that needs to be done." Said Emma as she pulls out her sword.
David and Snow backed up. "Emma what are you doing." Snow asked dreading the fact that she knew the answer. Emma didn't respond and walked toward them. David pulled out his sword being afraid that he'd have to use it on his child. Emma froze him in place not wanting him to get in the way.
"Stay out of this father, it's between me and Snow," Emma said, walking closer to a shaking Snow White. "I will give you a death without magic. You don't deserve a quick death." Said Emma raising her sword.
"Emma please I'm your mother, I love you." Snow pledged.
"You don't love me, you tortured me my whole life just because I wasn't your perfect princess. Putting on tight dresses and corsets, trying to marry me to disgusting men, and worst of all finding every physician in the land to try and remove my penis." Emma said angrily.
"I was trying to fix you." Said Snow.
"I didn't need to be fixed Mother. I wasn't broken, I never was broken!" Emma cried out. She teleported her sword back to the castle while streams of tears flowed on her cheeks. Emma was so disastrous she could barely stand up. How could she not kill Snow knowing that she was going to kill Regina and their child? The thoughts of that and her childhood just played back in her head. Tearing Emma apart inside.
Snow took Emma into a hug and looked her dead in the eyes. "I love you, Emma." Said Snow Emma looked up at Snow with anger in her eyes.
"You never loved me." Was the last thing Emma said before she teleported back to her bedroom. Emma dropped down to her knees and began to cry hysterically. Regina was in shock she thought Emma was badly hurt. When Regina saw no blood as she rushed to the ground she was confused. "Emma, what's wrong?" Regina asked.
"I-I couldn't do it, Regina I couldn't kill her I'm sorry." Emma cried.
"Emma calm down you don't have to apologize," Regina said trying to soothe Emma.
"I'm not strong enough to be your King or the father of our child. I'm nothing Regina." Said Emma.
"No, don't say that!" Regina yelled.
"Why not Regina, it's true. I can't be a good father because I can't protect my kid even when they aren't even in this world yet. I can't even kill the one thing that is an immediate threat to them. How the hell can they expect me to protect them when they're on this earth if I can't do it now?" Emma cried out harder.
"What you tried to do wasn't an easy task Emma, you have to understand that," Regina explained.
"If it was Cora you would've done it," Emma said coldly.
"That's different-" Said Regina but she was cut off
"No it's not," Emma said looking at the floor.
Regina lifted Emma's head. "Listen we will figure this out later ok. I love you, Emma." Regina said rubbing Emma's cheeks with her thumb.
"I don't know why you do," Emma says disappearing in a cloud of red smoke leaving Regina on the floor.
Regina sat on the floor with her hand on the part of her dress that was soaked from Emma's tears. She didn't know what to do other than to let Emma calm down by herself.
"My poor love."
Regina got off the floor with a sigh and walked to Mals room which was a few doors from her and Emma's. With a soft knock and a loud enter Regina entered the room and sat on the dragon's bed with a huff.
"What's wrong?" The dragon asked from her potion making table.
"Nothing I can't handle," Regina replied animatedly. "But I need a favor," Regina said looking around the room.
"And what's that?" The dragon asked the queen her full attention.
"I need a potion that would prevent someone from sleeping," Regina said looking at Mal.
"I still have some left that have been lying around but what do you need it for?" The dragon asked, handing her a small bottle with blue liquid.
"A test, and what are the side effects," Regina asked looking up from the bottle.
"Um, depending on how much this test subject takes the longer they are under the potion they will start to lose the ability to tell reality from imaginary," Mal explained with a shrug of her shoulders.
"Well that sounds way better, but thank you I'll pay you back," Regina said before making her way to the exit.
"Regina who's the potion for?" Mal asked again, her tone serious.
"Me, and I want this to stay between me and you Emma can't know either," Regina said before walking out of the room.
Walking back into their room Regina made a glass of water materialize in her hand before pouring the potion in it, "There's no going back," Regina whispered to herself before she drank the concoction sitting the empty cup on her vanity.
She didn't feel different; it was like nothing happened at all. " I guess we'll see in a few hours," Regina said to herself.
"Regina," her mother called poofing behind her.
"Why the hell are you here? I could've sworn I told you to never come back!!" Regina yelled at her mother and stood there.
"Never mind that, Rumple is planning to kidnap you alongside David," Cora said, confusing Regina.
"What the hell are you talking about?" Regina asked.
"Rumple made a deal with the charming's father, saying if he kidnapped you then he would get Emma," Cora explained.
"No no no no no," Regina whispered to herself pacing.
"Regina what's going on in here I heard yelling," Granny asked, walking into the room and seeing Cora.
"Hello Eugenia," Cora said, plastering a fake smile.
"What the hell are you doing here?" She yelled looking at Cora then at Regina for an explanation.
"She's my daughter I can see her whenever the hell I feel like it,"
"Your daughter, was that a joke," Granny laughed, taking a step towards Cora her eyes glowing.
"I-"
"Leave," Regina said looking at Cora. And in a cloud of purple smoke she was gone.
"Why was she here?" Granny asked again.
"She said that David and Rumple are planning on kidnapping me, and the thing is in my vision I saw myself being dragged to a dungeon by white Knights,"
"Where's Emma?" Granny questioned looking around.
"She's cooling off," Regina stated, pinching the bridge of her nose trying to keep her tears at bay.
"What happened girl?" Granny asked.
"She went to kill Snow because of my vision, and she couldn't do it, and her not being able to do it made her feel worthless because she felt by not killing Snow she wouldn't be able to protect our child," Regina finished trying to hold her composure.
"She thinks I shouldn't love her because of it," Regina cried, breaking down. Granny went over and held Regina in her arms trying to calm her down.
"You try to get some rest ok I'll go talk to her," Granny reassured. She felt Regina tense, but she pulled away nodding.
Granny walked out of the room and went to the training grounds she found Emma and Mal going at each other's throat with magic.
" Stop going easy on me dammit!" Emma yelled at the dragon.
"Then you use all of your power when you fight me!" Mal yelled back.
"Mal this session is finished," Granny said looking at the Dragon who nodded and disappeared in a cloud of grey smoke.
"What the hell Granny, I need to train!" Emma yelled.
"What you need to do is go apologize to your woman up there who's been worried sick about you, every time something happens with you, you push her away and yell at her when she tries to help you. And the crazy part is she doesn't care about any of that. The only thing she cares about is your safety to the point where she puts it above hers and I don't take that lightly. Now I understand that you weren't able to kill your mother but that doesn't mean you go yelling at her when she tries to help you she's been under a large amount of stress since the planning of the war and you going out being reckless is only adding to it, so before you go doing something stupid consider the repercussions next time." Granny finished leaving Emma with her thoughts.
Regina walked to the library once Granny left, since now she wouldn't be able to sleep. She could start her research and plan to move to a different realm. Looking on her large shelves for a book on realms she was only able to find a couple when she turned around Ruby opened the door with a small smile.
"I thought you would be up here," She said walking over to one of the couches and sitting down.
"Hey Rubes, what's going on?" Regina asked sitting her books on the polished table before going to sit on the couch with Ruby.
"We haven't had one of our girl talks in awhile, I miss it," Ruby exclaimed, laying her head on Regina's lap.
"Me too," Regina said quietly, playing in Ruby's hair like she used to do when they were younger.
"So what's going on with you and Belle, you two seem to be getting really close?" Regina questioned with a smile as she saw Ruby blush.
"I-I we're just friend's Gina," Ruby said, trying to laugh it off.
"Yeah right friends my ass, you have a big crush on her don't you," Regina said grinning.
"Fine.. yes I do, but do you think she likes me back?" Ruby asked looking up at Regina.
"From what I saw the other day I could say the feelings were mutual, but if she wasn't I'm sure someone would end up falling head over heels for you, I mean how could they not," Regina said with a light hearted laugh.
"So how are you and Emma?" Ruby questioned. Regina got a faraway look in her eyes, "Hey you don't have to answer," Ruby said, snapping Regina from her thoughts.
"Oh no, It's just I don't know how to answer that, there's been a lot going on for us and it's been emotionally exhausting for us both, and with my visions things haven't been getting any better," Regina said with a sigh.
"I had a vision we were going to die me and our unborn child by Snow's hand, I told Emma and she was pissed so she went to kill Snow, but she couldn't do it. And that pissed her off more, she thinks she can't protect us and that I shouldn't love her but I think differently. So I took a potion to keep me from sleeping," Regina said making Ruby sit up.
"Regina what the hell," Ruby said.
"The visions only happen when I sleep and they're only getting worse I-I just I'm tired every time I close my eyes it shows me the end, I would no longer be with Emma. I don't want to go to bed every night seeing how I will die and be ripped from her forever." Regina said, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"It's too much," Regina whispered.
"You can't die Regina that's one thing so I will-"
"There's no point in trying to make yourself believe that false hope bull crap Rubes, because it won't stop inevitable, it might delay it but it won't stop it, I've already accepted it," Regina said trying to wipe her tears but more kept coming.
"So you've accepted leaving me and Granny, Emma, Mal and Belle. You've accepted leaving us, Regina if you give up I won't ever forgive you. The Regina I know wouldn't stop until she found a way to fix what needed to be fixed." Ruby said getting up and making her way out of the library.
Wiping her tears Regina stood up and went back to the book shelves looking for books on immortality.
