You know how the disclaimer works: I do not own The Smurfs or Smurfs: The Lost Village in any way or form. Aria Smurf is my O.C. and belongs to me. SmurfAggie belongs to I.M. Rally. I also do not own the song and the lyrics that I use today. Now, let's get this underway!

As the sun was beginning to rise on yet another day in Smurf Village, we find ourselves catching eyes on the smurfs, who are starting to arise from their beds. Hefty was already awake and returning from a morning jog, Clumsy tumbled out of his bed, Smurfette sat up and stretched as the sun's rays glowed through her window, and Aria was humming a little tune as she grabbed her clothes and went to get changed. In a treehouse not too far from hers, Smurfstorm had woken up and was doing some yoga to rid her body from any residing exhaustion. She was in the middle of doing downward dog when Smurflily entered and had to stifle her laughter when Smurfstorm looked up from the position she was in and almost blushed in embarrassment. Smurflily, luckily, recovered from laughing long enough to say, "Morning, Stormy. I see you're already awake." Smurfstorm got up and moved into the flamingo position while saying, "Well, I woke up a couple of minutes earlier and thought of doing some yoga. It's nice, and it helps stretch my body and, I'm a little embarrassed to admit this. It's relaxing. Don't tell the others I said that." Smurflily nodded and responded with, "Deal, but why hide this? Yoga is something everyone can do, even the toughest of warriors." As Smurfstorm started to sit down and do the lotus position, she responded with, "Well, you know how I am. Can't let the others thinking I'm turning into a softie."

Smurflily playfully rolled her eyes and retorted, "Everyone already knows about your softer side. We see it every time you hang out with Aria or me." Smurfstorm responded with, "Well, it's different. You and Aria are my little sisters, and even if I try being tough with you two, you somehow seem to break me, letting out my more playful side. It doesn't mean I don't love it, but sometimes, I like acting tough. Inside of me is a strong warrior, and rule number 1 of being a warrior is always to remain tough and show little emotion." Smurflily sat down next to her and copied the lotus position while saying, "Well, you don't always have to have such a tough exterior. You should try loosening it up a bit because trust me, I've seen how you act when you become overprotective...and sometimes overbearing." Smurfstorm turned her head to face Smurflily as she retorted back, "I am not overprotective. I mean, I care for you guys and worry about your safety and our village's safety, but it does not mean I'm overprotective." Then, Smurflily responded with a clever remark, saying, "Last week, we were looking for smurfberries, and you almost shot a poor innocent bunny because you thought it was Gargamel or some form of danger."

Smurfstorm started to blush again as she said, "Well, you can never be too careful. Bunnies can hide a mischievous nature if left alone with a smurf." Smurflily then added, "Yesterday, Clumsy stubbed his toe on a rock, and you watched over him like a hawk. When other smurfs tried to come towards him, you almost attacked them because you wanted to know their "intentions." That made Smurfstorm blush harder as she sighed in defeat, saying, "Ok, so I can be overprotective, but it's not my fault. Ok, it sort of is, but believe me. I only act this way because I care for everyone and want to make sure they stay safe." Smurflily smiled as she added with sincerity, "And that's great, but you don't always have to act like there's danger everywhere we look. How about this? Today, try letting loose and having a care-free attitude. Be more open." Smurfstorm was hesitant as she replied, "I don't know. I mean, it sounds fun, but what if something happens"?

Smurflily answered her with, "Then, you can grab your gear and be ready to act upon it. However, until then, relax for once and let the day guide you. I'll see you at breakfast," as she got up and left Smurfstorm's house. Smurfstorm thought for a minute as she looked at a chair where her gear was hanging. She took a deep breath and said to herself, "Ok, I can do this. Today, I'll be open. I'll be cool and relax. Hopefully, nothing goes wrong today." She got up and started to head towards her door and opened it. However, just before leaving, she looked back at her gear and slightly frowned before exiting the house. Outside, everyone was at the picnic tables indulging on Chef's smurfberry porridge. Aria was chatting with Smurfette when Smurfstorm sat next to her little sister. Aria smiled and said, 'Morning, Stormer. Say, Smurfette, Hefty, Clumsy, and I are going to the water hole later. Hefty got this new dive he's been dying to try out. Care to join us"? Smurfstorm was about to protest but then remembered about being more open today. With a small smile, she said, "Sure. Why not? I can hang Lil' sister." Her new behavior confused Aria for a bit as she responded with, "Ok..." before going back to eating her porridge.

Later on, Aria, Smurfstorm, Hefty, Smurfette, and Clumsy were having fun by the water hole. Aria and Clumsy were splashing one another while Smurfette laid out along the shore, trying to catch a blue tan. Smurfstorm was sitting by the edge, dipping her feet in the water while trying to relax, but found it hard to do. Meanwhile, Hefty was on top of a sturdy plant and shouted, "Now, witness my new dive! The Hefty Haul"! He jumped and spun before curling his body into a ball and landing in the water with a big splash. The splashed water hits Smurfstorm, soaking her, as Clumsy then decided to give diving a try. He climbed the plant and shouted, "That's nothing! Watch my Clumsy Clash," but accidentally slips and falls, doing a massive belly flop into the water hole. Upon impact, Hefty, Smurfette, Smurfstorm, and Aria winced at the sight of Clumsy being in possible pain as his body sunk into the water. Smurfstorm was ready to ditch her plans and act on what had occurred, but before she could, Clumsy swam back up, looking right as rain, while saying, "I'm good." Hefty, Clumsy, and Aria had a good laugh about it while a dumbfounded smurfstorm watched in surprise. She muttered to herself, "Clumsy gets into these kinds of situations all the time, and in the end, he turns up all right. Maybe I really do freak out and act tough for no reason."She did not have much time to think about it because the next thing she saw was Aria climbing the plant, ready to attempt a dive. she smiled, shouting, "Now, the great Aria will present her Aerial Acrobatic Dive for your viewing pleasure." Smurfstorm thought for a minute before shouting, "You can do it, Ari! Show them what you got"!

Aria was surprised to hear her sister supporting her to do this, but smiled while not thinking about it too much as she jumped and performed aerial tricks before doing a perfect dive into the water hole. Hefty, Clumsy, and Smurfette applauded as Aria rose back up to the surface, with Hefty commenting, "Wow! How did you do that"? Aria grinned and said, "Practice. Lots and lots of practice." After some time at the water hole, the group decided to pack up and head back to the village. While they walked, Aria moved next to her older sister and said, "Stormer, you...supported me for once." Smurfstorm smiled and said, "Well, of course, I supported you, kid. You're my little sister, after all. I always support you in whatever you do." Aria raised an eyebrow while saying, "Yeah, but normally, you'd be nervous or almost freaking out when I try doing stuff like diving. You'd always comment, "Be careful" or "Watch out! You'll smurf your neck or worse"! Are you feeling ok"? Smurfstorm nodded and said, "I'm fine, just happy to spend time with you, is all." Aria was still unsure about Smurfstorm's change in behavior as she said, "Happy to spend time with you too..," while pondering on the fact of what could be the cause of this.

For most of the morning, including the afternoon, Aria monitored Smurfstorm's actions and was surprised to see her doing things that she normally thought was insane. She saw Smurfstorm sitting by Farmer's farm reading a book and wasn't antsy the whole time. She saw Smurfstorm helping model a new pink, frilly, girly dress for Tailor and commented that she loved it so much, allowing Tailor to give her one. She even saw her older sister trying Chef's new recipe: super extra spicy stew, and she asked for seconds despite her face turning red and being unable to speak for a couple of minutes afterward. Aria was convinced that something was wrong as she ran into Smurflily and Smurfblossom, deciding to ask if they knew anything. She came up to them, asking, "Hey guys. Has Smurfstorm been acting strange to you? They both shook their heads as Smurflily replied, "Well, today, she seems a lot more open to trying different things, and she isn't as rough as she was before." Smurfblossom added, "Yeah! Stormy's now really chill. She doesn't always look behind her back everywhere she walks; she doesn't jump into anything dangerous; she's even done peaceful activities. It's safe to say that Stormy's officially mellowed out." Aria was concerned as she said, "Something's not right. Stormer is not the kind of smurf to always be this relaxed, even for so long. I'm going to go talk to her." Aria went to find Smurfstorm to see why she was acting this way.

When Aria made it to Smurfstorm's house, and walked into a startling scene. Smurfstorm was sitting in a chair under a tall lamp, the light hitting her, with sunglasses on, and she seemed to be...taking a snooze? Aria wanted answers as she shook her older sister awake, shouting, "Wake up, Stormer"! Smurfstorm lifted her sunglasses and said in a relaxed tone of voice, "Hey, kiddo. Want to hang and catch a tan"? Aria shook her head in disbelief as she retorted back, "No! I don't want a tan. I want answers! First off, what the heck?! You've never sat down without your foot tapping in anticipation or nervousness, and you especially have never remained relaxed for this long before. What's going on, Stormer? Are you sick or something"? Smurfstorm placed her sunglasses back on as she answered, still in the relaxed tone of voice, "At ease, jitterbug. This is the new me, kiddo. Get used to it. At first, I was always living life on the edge, thinking that there'd be some form of danger at every turn. However, thanks to our other sister Lil' Lils, I've now mellowed out and relaxed. I'm more open to things, I go with the flow, and let me tell you. I've never felt better. From now on, call me...Smurfshore." Aria facepalmed and said in disbelief, "I am never calling you that as long as I live." Smurfstorm then got up and placed Aria in a lawn chair under another lamp, placed a pair of sunglasses on her head, gave her a magazine and an open coconut with a straw and pink umbrella, sticking the straw into her sister's mouth, allowing her to sip the coconut water. Aria drank some of the coconut water before asking, "Where on Earth did you even get a coconut from"?!

Smurfstorm sat back down in her chair as she said, "Cool your jet and put your feet up. Let nature lull you into a peaceful state of mind. Relax, and all will come to you. Embrace life, a peaceful, relaxing life." Then, out of nowhere, Smurfstorm pulled out a ukelele and got up while strumming it, much to Aria's surprise, as Smurfstorm then surprised her again by beginning to sing in a harmonious voice.

Yeah, that's the way it goes, that's the way it goes. Yeah, and that's the way it goes, that's the way it goes.

That's the way it goes, that's the way it goes, it's so satisfying. Yeah, that's the way it goes, that's the way it goes, one step away from crying.

Ah, Ah, Ah.

Aria was in complete disbelief after Smurfstorm finished her song and sat back down, putting the ukelele away and putting her hands behind her head, feeling the warmth of the lamp. While she did a great job, this was definitely not like Smurfstorm at all! She had to do something! Aria got up and went to find Smurflily in hopes of her helping her reinvigorate their action-loving sister. She found Smurflily working on a charm bracelet as Aria went up to her, saying, "Lily! What did you do to her"?! Getting a confused look as a response, Aria explained, "Smurfstorm said that you helped her mellow out and become more relaxed. What the smurf were you thinking"?! Smurflily got up and responded with, "What do you mean? All I did was told her to loosen up and be more open." Aria crossed her arms and said, "Oh, she's more open, alright. Stormer's mellowed so much. She's become some weird happy, go with the flow, hippie, who surprisingly has coconuts! She's lost it, and you're going to help me fix this. Don't believe me? I'll show you," as she grabbed Smurflily and brought her to where smurfstorm was, leaving a stunned Smurflily to see for herself. Surfstorm was now reading a magazine while sipping on a coconut. Smurflily was speechless as she asked Aria, "I see what you mean. Where'd she even get the coconut"? Aria facepalmed and replied, "Forget the coconut! We need to get our active, overprotective sister back! Luckily, I have an idea, but it's hazardous. I know the one thing Stormer would be completely on top of our safety about, no matter what." Aria whispered her idea to Smurflily, who gasped and said in disbelief, "Are you smurfed?! If this idea fails, we could get smurfed or worse"! Aria retorted, "If we don't do this, we're going to lose the Smurfstorm we know and love for good. This is the only way."

Both girls went to their houses and got their backpacks, hiking gear, their archery bows, arrows, as well as a map and telescope. Then, they both walked up to Smurfstorm, who was still relaxing and reading her magazine. She lifted her head and lifted her sunglasses to see her sisters as she asked, "Hey, my cool cats. What brings you to these neck of the woods"? Aria cleared her throat before saying, "Oh, not much. Smurflily and I were going on a hike. A nice, quiet hike to...I don't know...maybe...Dead Horse Drop"? At the sound of those three words, Smurfstorm lowered her magazine and became intrigued. Smurflilythen added, "Yeah, we're hiking to Dead Horse Drop. We'll be back soon. Don't wait up," as the pair started to leave the village as fast as they could. Smurfstorm then smiled and responded with, "Cool, cool. Be back before dinner." Suddenly, after a couple of minutes, a wave of realization hit Smurfstorm as she shouted in panic, "Dead Horse Drop"?! She got up and looked, only to realize that her sisters were already gone and could be in great danger. She threw the magazine onto the chair and took her sunglasses off, saying, 'I've got to rescue them before they get smurfed"! In the blink of an eye, she ran to her house and got her gear set before whistling for Spitfire, whom she climbed onto and took off after her sisters.

Meanwhile, Aria and Smurflily were beginning to scale the path up to Dead Horse Drop as Smurflily nervously asked, "Ari, are you sure this is a good idea"? Aria nodded, saying, "I may be stupid for suggesting it, ut this idea is genius! She would never let us hike here, much less by ourselves! hopefully, by now, she's realized that we were serious and has come after us." Suddenly, they both felt a deep rumbling as Smurflily then asked hesitantly, "Please tell me that was your stomach because it sure wasn't mine." Aria shook her head no as both smurfs looked up and gasped in fear. A rock slide was heading towards them as Aria shouted, "A rock slide! Run"! Both smurfs took off as fast as they could to avoid getting hit by the falling rocks. However, things took a turn for the worst as Smurflily then slipped and almost fell off the edge of the cliff. Aria gasped and jumped, grabbing Smurflily's hands in time before she could fall. She quickly pulled her up before they both began to run for their lives. Things got even worse when they stopped in front of a big pile of rocks and turned to go the other way, only to find that their back route was blocked too. Aria and Smurflily were officially trapped! Smurflily and Aria hugged each other as Smurflily asked in a panic, "What do we do now"?! Aria could only nervously reply, "I don't know. We're trapped, and I have a feeling things are going to get even worse"! True to her words, one big boulder was coming towards them as Smurflily and Aria hugged each other tightly and shut their eyes tightly while screaming in fear. Only a miracle would save them now!

Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, something fast dove and swooped them up before the boulder could crush them. Aria and Smurflily slowly opened their eyes and realized that they were now riding on top of a dragonfly, and riding in the front was Smurfstorm, in her gear, and back to her normal self. She looked at her sisters and asked, "Are you both alright"? They nodded and said in unison, "Yeah," with Aria adding, "Thanks, Stormer." Once they were far enough, Stormer had spitfire land as they all hopped off. Smurfstorm then crossed her arms and had an infuriated look on her face, leaving Smurflily and Aria to shrink back in shame. Smurfstorm then began to shout angrily, "What in the name of everything smurfy were you two thinking?! Do you have any idea how dangerous that was?! You almost got smurfed by those rocks! You were lucky I realized where you two went and came to save you in time! What do you both have to say for yourselves"?! Smurflily and Aria both looked at each other and said in unison, "We're sorry," as Aria added, "The only reason we did it was to snap you out that weird hippie state you were in." Smurfstorm angrily retorted, "So?! There are better options instead of risking your own lives! If you had told me that I was beginning to act weird, I would have stopped! Smurflily, now do you see why I act so overprotective sometimes?! That way, I can protect innocent smurfs from making a stupid life-risking mistake like the one you two made"!

The walk back to the village was silent. Neither one dared to say a word until they got back to the village. When their friends asked them about what had happened, Smurfstorm told them that they were doing border patrol and chased off an angry raccoon. Luckily, everyone seemed to buy it, so it was a relief that at least Smurfliy and Aria would not get ratted out for what happened. Unfortunately, they were not off the hook with Smurfstorm yet as once they got to her place, she had them line up in front of the door and face her. Then, Smurfstorm, who was still very upset with them, said, "Consider yourself lucky I saved you, but now you both owe me big time." They nodded in agreement as Smurflily asked,"What do we owe you," with Aria adding, "Doing your chores for a week? Giving you our desserts for two weeks"? Smurfstorm thought for a minute before saying, "First off, I want you both to...come here and give me a big hug," with her tone of voice becoming softer and sounding more concerned for her sisters. Despite being confused, both Smurflily and Aria went up to Smurfstorm and embraced a big hug. Once they separated, smurfstorm clarified things by saying, "I'm sorry for being harsh with you earlier, but it was only because seeing you guys almost die...it scared me. I worried about your safety, and despite the circumstances, I had to let you guys know that what you did was dangerous, even if you only did it because you wanted to help me." Smurflily spoke up, saying, "We know, and we're really sorry for scaring you like that, Smurfstorm." Aria added, "I'm sorry too, Stormer. This whole thing was my idea, and it almost cost us our lives." Smurfstorm placed her hands on their shoulder while saying with a sincere smile, "Apologies accepted, under one condition. You both promise never to do something like that ever again. Promise"? Smurflily and Aria looked at one another, then back at Smurfstorm and said with confidence, "We promise"!

Happy with their responses, Smurfstorm hugged them again while saying, "Good. Now, how about we do something calm and relaxing? After that rescue, I think I've had enough excitement for one day." Smurflily nodded as Aria asked, "What did you have in mind"? Smurfstorm thought for a minute before coming up with a great idea, saying, "I have something in mind." Minutes later, the trio was leading a village-wise yoga class, and Smurfstorm was the main instructor. She then commanded everyone into the upward dog position as Smurfstorm whispered to her sisters, "See? Now, this is my way of relaxing. No naps in lawn chairs or sudden ukelele solos or getting fake tans while reading magazines. Something active, but simple, my way to chill." Smurflily mentioned, "Wow, I didn't think I'd enjoy doing yoga, but this is actually pretty fun." Aria then asked, "There's still one question that I want to know. Stormer, where on Earth did you find that coconut you were sipping on earlier"? Smurfstorm chuckled and responded while putting on the sunglasses from earlier, "Let's just say...it's a real groovy place, my friends." Smurflily and Aria looked at each other with confusion in their eyes while continuing to lead the yoga position given by Smurfstorm. After the day they had, this truly was the best way to relax, and Smurflily and Aria could agree that from now on, they'll never pull a stunt like that again. As for Smurfstorm, while she'll still be the same tough warrior smurf they know, she's now gained a calmer side and is willing to be more open and chill when she's not doing anything active.
