Fate/Kyon's Order
A Haruhi Suzumiya & Fate/Grand Order Crossover
by Derald Snyder
Part 11: Showdown in Nishinomiya(1)
"So, I think our best bet would be to try and separate Archer and Rider, so we fight them individually," Ritsuka suggested, he, his servants, Koizumi, Kyon, Haruhi, Yuki and Cu Chulainn gathered around a table. "That's how we won against them in a previous singularity..."
"Gilgamesh has quite the ego, he would be reluctant to ally with Iskandar," Medusa nodded. "Of course, it also depends on their masters..."
"At this point, Kimidori would desire to ally with Tsuruya for tactical advantage," Yuki stated. "But as you said, the personalities of their servants would make such an alliance uneasy, at best..."
Just then, Kyon's phone rang. "Uh-oh, it's Nagato... excuse me for a sec." Getting up from his seat Kyon walked a few feet away before answering. "Yo, Nagato, what's up?"
"Kyon-kun! Are you okay?" the human Yuki asked.
"I'm fine, Nagato. Is something wrong?"
"Um... Asahina-san said that she saw you with Koizumi-san and that other Master with all the servants! Is it true?!"
"Uh..." Kyon's eyes went wide. (Shit, I don't think I can lie my way out of this one...) Lowering his voice, he said, "Look, Nagato, it's not what you think. This guy, Fujimaru-san, says the Holy Grail is fake and that it'll bring disaster if we wish on it..."
"F-fake?! Are you sure?" Yuki gasped.
"Yeah, I am. Um, look, I can't really explain why, but I'm convinced he's telling the truth, and so is Koizumi-san..."
"Is that so?" a male voice suddenly spoke up from the other end.
"What the-?! Who is this?!" Kyon shouted.
"Shut up and listen, mongrel. You tell your friends that if you want to see your lover again, they'll come to North High School at 7 PM sharp tonight. Don't be late!" The call then hung up.
"Shit...!" Kyon cursed. "Nagato...!"
"What has happened?" the alien Yuki inquired. So Kyon explained the situation...
"They took your girlfriend hostage?!" Haruhi gasped in disbelief. "What the hell?! I never thought Kimidori would stoop that low...!"
"She would not. Gilgamesh would, as would Iskandar under the right circumstances," Yuki stated. "They wish to meet us on their terms, where they have the tactical advantage..."
"Oh, no... with Ishtar injured, do we have any hope of taking them both on?" Mash fretted.
"Hey, it's not like I'm in critical condition here!" Ishtar complained, though she was sporting quite a few bandages. "I can still do long-range attacks!"
"Long-range...? Wait, that's it!" Ritsuka realized. "I have an idea... Dantes, do you think you could handle Gilgamesh?"
"By myself? Hmm... if I'm not in a confined space like that school hallway, it might be possible..." the Count of Monte Cristo mused.
"Then how about we demand they meet us outside when we get there?" Cu Chulainn suggested.
"Good thinking, Lancer," Koizumi nodded. "Now, what is the rest of your plan, Fujimaru-san...?"
*That night, at North High...*
"I can't believe you would resorts to this, Kimidori-san!" Tsuruya pointed at Yuki, who was bound by the Chains of Heaven, a cloth gag over her mouth.
"This was Archer's doing, not mine!" Kimidori defended herself. "For what it's worth, I didn't approve either...!"
"Do you wish to defeat those Kyouoen mongrels or not?!" Gilgamesh spoke up. "I usually would not resort to such underhanded tactics, but this is the best way to ensure they meet us on our terms!"
"For once, I agree with Archer," Iskandar nodded. "We may be powerful, but we're still only two servants, so we need whatever tactical advantage we can get..." Just then, shouting was heard outside. "Ah, sounds like they're here..."
Outside, Cu Chulainn yelled, "Alright, bastards, we're here! Come on out and face us, unless you're cowards!"
"This had better work," Dantes muttered under his breath.
"It will," Caster Yuki affirmed. Soon, Gilgamesh and Iskandar emerged from the school entrance, along with their Masters.
"Where's Nagato?!" Kyon demanded.
"She is in good health," Gilgamesh sniffed. "I have not harmed a hair on her head, in accordance with Master's wishes..."
"Do you expect me to take you at your word, you bastard?!" Kyon shot back.
"Let him see her," Kimidori stated. "He is not a Master, but he is our fellow student..."
"...Fine. You and no one else. Now go, mongrel!" Gilgamesh said as he stepped aside and pointed. Kyon hesitated for a moment before making his way past the King of Heroes, stopping to glare at Kimidori and Tsuruya briefly.
"This wasn't my ideas," Tsuruya winced. Nodding curtly, Kyon quietly proceeded into the school.
"Now then," Gilgamesh declared, "Let us settle this once and for all, Kyouoen Masters and Master from the outside. You, in the black hat and cape," he pointed at Edmond Dantes, "I challenge you to single combat. Do you accept, or yield to me?"
"I accept, King of Heroes," Dantes smiled sinisterly. "I will show you why they call me Avenger!" With that, the two flew off to behind the school...
"So you're gonna take the rest of us on by yourself, Iskandar?" Mordred said. "Awfully cocky, aren't you?"
"He has good reason to be," Yuki spoke up.
"It's still five on one, six if you count me," Haruhi stated. "I'm no servant, but I can fight on my own pretty well!"
"You've got spunk, former Master of Saber," Iskandar complimented. "I'm under orders from Master not to kill humans, but that doesn't mean I won't conscript you into my army!"
"What army?!" Haruhi challenged.
"Ionioi Hetairoi," Ritsuka recalled, "his Reality Marble..."
"Oh ho ho! So you even know about my Reality Marble, do you?" Iskandar chuckled. "Well, in that case..." He summoned his steed and mounted him, before calling, "Arise, my loyal soldiers, who dreamed of reaching the farthest land! Ionioi Hetairoi!" A sphere of magical energy expanded outward from his form, engulfing Ritsuka's party as well! When the light faded, the group found themselves surrounded by many, many Macedonian soldiers!
"Holy shit!" Mordred looked around in shock, holding her sword at the ready. "I didn't think he had this many...!"
"Damn, this is bad! No wonder he was so cocky!" Cu Chulainn grunted, sweat beading on his forehead. "I mean, I've taken on armies before, but never this large...! Stay close to me, Master!"
"Oh dear, oh dear..." Koizumi looked around in distress. "Maybe you shouldn't have provoked him, Suzumiya-san..."
"How was I supposed to know he could do something like this?!" Haruhi shot back.
"Just focus on defense!" Ritsuka ordered.
"Alright, men! Don't kill the humans, but the servants are fair game!" Iskander cried, unsheathing his sword! "AAAAAAALALALALAIE!" The army charged in...
Ritsuka and co. did their best, but against such overwhelming odds, it was only a matter of time...
Mordred blasted a group away with Clarent Blood Arthur, only to get several arrows imbedded in her skull.
Cu Chulainn speared a few, but was impaled with many more spears.
Medusa tripped a few with her chains and petrified a few more with Mystic Eyes, only for Iskandar himself to charge in and behead her when her back was turned.
Haruhi held her own for a while, only to get a halberd through her leg, taking her out of the fight.
Yuki used her powers to turn several weapons back at the enemy, but one slipped through her and impaled her through her lung, promptly collapsing to the ground.
And it was all Mash could do to protect her Master from any harm.
It was merciless slaying, a lopsided slaughter.
All according to plan.
*To be continued...*
