CHAPTER 6-THISTLEKIT
Finally. I was becoming an apprentice. The day after Deerflight's kits were born, too. I was given Nightclaw for a mentor. Oh boy. This is gonna be fun.
"Alright. Were going to explore the territory today. Tomorrow, we will go over the basic hunting techniques, then battle, and practice both. Then we'll do the real things." She seemed so calm. I suddenly felt a wave o smug pride at my brothers. I had the deputy for a mentor, while they got normal warriors. I followed her across the land, watching as the lakes shimmered and the trees swayed in the gentle wind.
Rain,
I jumped.
Who had said that?! Nightclaw glanced back confused. "You okay?" she meowed. I nodded and followed.
Sky,
My fur stiffened.
Jay, and This-
I hissed and swatted at my ears. The whispers ceased and I followed Nightclaw. we bumped into a WindClan patrol.
"How is everything, Nightclaw?" The other cat, Opalwhisker, as she was called, mewed over the border.
"Good. This is my apprentice, Thistlepaw." She dipped her head towards me and I respectfully replied, "Hello."
She purred and a small figure came up to the cream she-cat. It was another apprentice! Wow. two deputies with 'paws! What a coincidence. She dropped a vole at her mentor's paws. I was preparing to leave with Nightclaw when her ears pricked and she gave a light jump. I left with even more intentions that before hoping-and thinking- that it was just a coincidence.
But if I knew StarClan it wasn't.
Hey guys! Sorry this chapter was short, I was rushing to get it out! I am making two chapters for everyone I post, so some will be a bit- rushed. Also, I cannot do ANYTHING on Sundays! So, as I (believe) have stated, I will update Tuesday, Friday and Saturday! Thank you for cooperating and reading! I love you all!
