Nymphadora Tonks

Ron was wandering the corridors looking for his best mate, Harry Potter. The youngest male Weasley realized that Harry never wanted to be in the tournament in the first place after having seen Harry outflying the hungarian horntail on his firebolt. Since the task ended a couple days ago, Ron believed this was the best time to make amends with Harry (unaware that it was going to be a futile attempt). Then he spotted Harry strolling by moments later, for some strange reason dressed in a womens' ministry uniform.

"Harry mate, wait up!" Ron called out to 'him.'

Ron jogged after who he believed was his best mate (or soon-to-be former best mate). Then he saw the supposed raven-haired boy entering a girls' bathroom, so Ron followed 'him' in in false hopes of seeing girls in there. Upon entering the girls' bathroom, Ron was stunned to see a woman with shoulder-length brown hair that turned purple instead of Harry.

"Tonks!" exclaimed Ron.

He knew her because of some ministry formals he and his family attended over the summer holidays (including previous ones), and he knew she was a ministry auror. Ron knew her first name was Nymphadora, but she hated being called that and preferred being called by her surname. Ron also knew Tonks' hair turning purple and then bubblegum pink was due to her metamorphmagus abilities, making him realize she used that to impersonated Harry in a successful attempt to lure Ron into the girls' bathroom.

"Honestly, Ron," Tonks replied, rolling her brown eyes. "Haven't you been taught never to enter a girls' bathroom?"

"Where's Harry?" asked Ron, not even bothering to answer Tonks' question.

"He's in an abandoned classroom nearby," said Tonks. "But you didn't answer my question."

"Yes, I was taught to never walk into a girls' bathroom." said Ron.

"It seems like you need practice with that lesson," said Tonks in a no-nonsense voice. "But you need another lesson to learn, so I think you'd better follow me to where Harry is, waiting for us."

Ron felt his stomach twist, so reluctantly he followed the auror. Ron could also feel his limbs trembling as fear began overtaking him, wondering what Harry had to say. Once they walkin in the classroom and spotted Harry, the raven-haired wizard shot Ron a paralyzing glare. Ron's stomach twisted even more tensely, even thought he knew why but was reluctant to admit it.

"Don't apologize to me," snapped Harry when Ron opened his mouth to say something. "I have no use it associating myself with someone as jealous as you. Accusing me of cheating and being apart of those mindless idiots labelling me as an attention seeker, that's not something a real friend does. Neville is now my best mate, since he wholeheartedly believed me to be innocent from the start, something you could've done."

"Well, I came to apologize, Harry." Ron responded, his voice cracking in fear.

"It's too late now, Ron," Harry told his former best mate in a firm voice. "You had plenty of time to make it up to me before the first task. You could've checked on me shortly before the task was due to start, but you continued to abandon me in my time of need. If that bloody dragon killed me, you wouldn't have been able to make amends with me."

"But how'd you meet Tonks?" asked Ron.

"It happened during the time I was staying at the Leaky Cauldron shortly before third year started," Harry explained. Tonks spotted me at Florean Fortescue's Ice cream Parlour working on my History of Magic assignment. I was hesitant to explain the circumstances leading up to it, but I eased up some and did it. Then she made arrangements with her parents to have me stay at their house. I was already back at the Leaky Cauldron when you and your family arrived."

"Like Harry said, it's too late to apologize, and I doubt sorry would even cut it, too." Tonks told Ron. "You made your choice and you must suffer the consequences."

"And it looks like you've gotten yourself in too deep, Ron." said Harry slyly, as he looked over behind Ron.

Ron turned around and gasped in shock to see his parents before him. They were giving their youngest son stern looks and crossed arms. Ron opened his mouth to say something, but no words came out due to not counting on his parents showing up. Arthur and Molly held their right hands up as if to tell their son that they don't want to hear it.

"I find it hard to believe that you would do this to Harry, Ronald," Molly began chastising her son, making him cower. "You should've known him better than that, after everything you went through with him. You should've thought it over long and hard before you turned your back on Harry."

"Harry even wrote to us and explaining what you did," Arthur scolded Ron. "If you remember the howler you got from your mother the day after your second year started, she warned you she would bring you straight home if you put another toe out of line. Not only that, but your mother and I knew it was your idea to steal the car. You should've known better than to suggest that when Harry informed us that he had the better and easier suggestion in waiting by the car and you convinced him that you knew what you were doing. So your mother and I think not only expulsion is a suitable punishment for you, but doing chores and having a tutor come to our house to give you lessons will do wonders due to your lack of a good work ethic."

"Now you'd better follow your father and I over to Dumbledore's office, young man," Molly instructed Ron, beckoning him at the same time. "So we can recommend your expulsion to him."

Ron was now even more frightened, as he was not only trembling, but he was also starting to sweat profusely. Nevertheless, he reluctantly obeyed his mother's order and followed his parents to Professor Dumbledore's office.

"I think some butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks might be a wanderful way to celebrate your victory against that bloody dragon," Tonks suggested. "How about it, Harry?"

"Sure," said Harry with a smile. "Butterbeer will always be one of my favourite ways to celebrate something or distract myself from all this 'being put in danger' craziness."

So the two left the classroom and began walking to Hogsmeade, with Tonks putting an arm around Harry's shoulders as a way of letting him know he was in safe hands. While he still wasn't quite used to physical contact, Harry eased up some and allowed Tonks to put her arms around his shoulders because of the feeling of warmth. Most of all, Harry was now free from Ron's negative influence and could start looking for more reliable friends willing to be a positive influence. For once, things were working out in Harry's favour.

The End!

Author's note 1: I'd like to give a shoutout to the user 'Yaw6113' for suggesting that Tonks use her metamorphmagus abilities to turn into Harry and lure Ron into the girls' bathroom and having Ron not realize that until getting confronted by Tonks.

Author's note 2: Another one-shot finished. Which girl should Harry be paired with in the next one-shot? Please let me know in a review or a PM, happy reading!
