Hello readers, Purple Pendragon here! And another chapter for this fanfiction. Did you miss me? Or the story? Hope you enjoy!

Chapter 10: Preparations

It's remarkably hard to plan for a trip when you're a baby under constant surveillance and a twin to look after.
Then again, it's really hard to plan for a trip when you're a baby, period.

At least be running around in preparation for your trip so I can think in peace!

...Sigh.

"How does that look, Sophia?" my mom asked cheerfully, holding up a mirror in front of me.
In the mirror, I saw a blond baby in frilly pink baby clothes. ...Why? Just why? Leave me in peace and do your planning!

Oh, wait, Natalie's doing all the planning, so Mom's free to do whatever she wants.

And what she wants is to dress me up while Dad drags Adrien off for a test of fashion sense (which he will probably fail miserably, I'm sure). Can I just say once (seriously, just once), that I don't want to be DRESSED UP ,FOR-

No. Absolutely not. "I don't like it." I shook my head.
Mom turned me so I could see her face (I hated being turned so easily, it reminds me that I'm a baby). "Why not, Sophia?"

"Not pink. No like pink." Remember, baby grammar here. Nothing prodigious to look at. Nope. While I don't like acting like a baby, if I stand out too much, I'll be under constant surveillance and tutors and possibly paparazzi (though that would probably happen anyway because Gabriel's daughter and stuff), so I'll choose the lesser evil.

Even if that evil is annoying.

Mom hummed in thought. "Gabriel was making you a green dress somewhere, but I thought you'd like pink so I told him to only make you those." she sounded disappointed. "I suppose I'll have to dig out the green one if you don't like it."

With a sigh, she put the mirror on the table and slid me out of her lap onto the bed. Standing up, she went outside, mumbling, "Now, where did I put it...? Oh, the maids might know!" and then she rushed off.

Finally, peace.

[So, choose the enhancements yet? Remember, if you keep too strong ones on too long, they'll stunt your growth.]

Oh, quiet down for a minute while I enjoy my freedom, will you?
...

Since you're actually quiet, I assume that you actually did what I said? Okay, let's talk now!

[What a weird girl.]

Says the magical creature that can transform matter and enhance people with a wave of his hand. So... enhancers, huh? Well, to steal the Miraculous I'll have to have heightened speed and strength, you know, but that just sounds like I'll be a normal superhero.

Hey Juedui, The transformed superheroes can use some of their kwami's powers, right? Like Plagg's Cataclysm and Sass' Second Chance?

[Yes. Where are you going with this?]

If this birthmark on my neck is a Miraculous, can I transform too?

[I was honestly starting to wonder when you'd ask that. Yes, of course. But it only has a fraction of my power. I'm a free kwami, and I technically directed you into this world, so my power is in your soul, not a piece of jewellery.]

That... kind of makes sense, in a weird sort of way. In a weird, creepy, slightly gross sort of way. Face it, I don't like anyone touching my soul.

[Well, to be fair, I don't like anyone touching my soul either, and the magic and the soul are about the same thing, so...]

This is a weird conversation. Not to mention gross. Can we change the subject? I turned to the door, thinking that this would be a convenient time for Mom to burst into the room, shouting, "I found it, Sophie, let's try this!"

But unfortunately not. I'm trapped with Juedui.

Well, might as well use this time to think of enhancers that normal superheroes don't have!

And done! Sorry I didn't update sooner. You see, I just started this story for fun, and I'm able to finish chapters after a burst of inspiration, like right now! So yeah, it takes a while and it won't be regular. I'll try to update once a month, though! Same with my other story.

Well, what do you think? What enhancers should she get? Please REVIEW and let me know!
