The last chapter! I hope that this is as exciting as was hoped for. Just a quick warning-description of violence and injury, but nothing too bad!

This is a long one!

Jay wrapped a protective hand around Maya, getting her to her own feet.

"You really think you're going to win, Nadakhan? It's not happening." He said, trying to lace confidence through his words. Zane quickly took Maya, who could barely stand, out of his arms and Jay drew his sword, quickly covering it in Tiger Widow venom.

"That trick isn't going to work this time, my little canary. I'm ready."

"Yea, well so am I!" Jay shouted, sparking electricity in his palm. Well, tried to. Jay looked in horror as no sparks emerged from his palm, not even a slight blue glow.

"Family is a weakness, Jay, you must learn to understand that." Nadakhan said, coming closer to Jay. "It's the reason you're alone now."

Jay glanced behind him, and saw that Zane still held Maya, his eyes pleading for him to run, too. As much as Jay wanted to go, to regroup, help Maya, not have to face Nadakhan alone, he knew that if he backed down now Nadakhan would win. He couldn't let that happen.

"Run, Zane! Go help the others! Get Maya and Pixal out of here!" Jay exclaimed, his focus returning to the Djinn in front of him.

"But, Jay一"

"Go, Zane! I can't let him hurt anyone else!"

"Oh, I'm going to kill all of them, Jay Walker, every last one!" Nadakhan said, swinging his Blade. Jay ducked away, his sword clashing against the Djinn's.

At this moment, a loud crash was heard, and Jay looked above the walls of the tunnels, seeing fire from above. He assumed that it was the ship that had crashed, but couldn't think twice about it, as Djinn teleported behind him. Jay saw the move coming, and kicked him in the chest, sending the Djinn tumbling backwards.

"You're fighting better than i expected, Ninja." Nadakhan said, getting into another battle position. Jay mirrored his actions, getting low to the ground, sword at the ready.

"I'm glad, it feels like my whole life has been leading up to this point."

Nadakhan smirked, and Jay's confidence faltered. He knew that look. The look that said that he was up to no good. At all.

Suddenly, Nadakhan teleported away, leaving Jay in the tunnel alone, brow furrowed in confusion. Holding his sword tightly, he went around in a slow circle, expecting his foe to try to give him a surprise attack. None came.

Jay knew that Nadakhan didn't give up, he wasn't the kind of villain to do that. He had a plan….but what was it? What in the world was that Djinn planning?

A booming voice was heard that ripped Jay from his thoughts, and echoed in his bones.

"Kill them! Kill them all!"

Nya punched a pirate in the face, annoyed that she still hadn't gotten her powers back. She saw Zane, supporting Maya and carrying Pixal, climb out of the tunnels. Nya rushed over to them, taking Maya from Zane's grasp, all the while fighting pirates that got in the way.

"Zane! What happened?"

"Maya caused the lightning, she's just terribly weak, Pixal's shut down. Jay's facing Nadakhan."

"Wait, what?" Nya said, full of worry, "You left Jay down there alone?!"

"I have a plan, one with a 34.573 percent chance of working, but only if we follow it exactly!"

"What did I tell you about not giving me the odds?! What's the plan?"

"We turn the pirates against has happened before, it can happen again."

Nya kicked a pirate in the face as he ran up behind her, hitting him to the ground. "But, Zane, two pirates turned against him in the other timeline! Not hundreds! That's impossible!"

Zane's icy blue eyes stared into hers. " I see no other option. Cole, Maya, and Pixal are in no shape to fight. We are most definitely losing.

"Friends….free." Maya mumbled, and Nya looked to her daughter, whose eyes were slowly refocusing on the world.

"Blade….open." She said, trying to walk away. Nya gripped her daughter's shoulder, stopping her from going anywhere else.

"Maya, what?"

"Open the...Blade, free….team."

Zane suddenly made a shield of ice around them, and vibrations echoed throughout the earth.

"That must've been the ship." Nya said, and Zane nodded.

"Wait, free your friends? That could work!" Nya said, suddenly realizing what Maya ment as she watched the pirates pound against the shield.

"Guys, we have a plan. If we retrieve Nadakhan's Blade, we can free the future Ninja of Ninjago." Zane said into the coms.

"Great!" Kai said, his voice sounding metallic as it entered their ears, "How do we do that?"

"We need to get Nadakhan out in the open." Zane said, breaking a hole in his ice shield, "Jay, can you do that? Jay?"

No response.

"Jay!" Nya said frantically into the coms. Zane sighed, suddenly remembering.

"Jay turned his communicator off."

"Well, we need to get his attention somehow!" Nya exclaimed, and Maya slowly nodded. But, before they could say anything, Nadakhan appeared over the battlefield, floating in the air.

"Kill them! Kill them all!"

"That isn't good." Maya said, and the pirates attacked stronger than they had before. Maya grabbed a spare sword from Nya's sheath, and began to swing, despite being sore. She already lost her friends, she couldn't lose her family.

They were going to win. They had to.

Maya found herself drawing near Kai and Keith amidst the fight. She saw that they were back to back, shooting fire at any enemy that faced them.

"Hi, Maya!" Kaith said, waving his sword in the air." She shot lighting in the air as a response.

"Maya! Use your lightning strikes again to hit Nadakhan out of the air!" Kai hollered, and she reached her hand into the air, summoning all of the power she could. She felt the static in the air answer her call, and soon lighting began raining down once again, but more controlled, more precise.

She saw a bolt come so, so close to hitting the Djinn, but he saw the move coming, and teleported to another area of the sky, only to get hit by a burst of water, strong and sure.

Maya watched as more water came from a figure in the sky, a figure that appeared to be made of water, hitting Nadakhan, distracting him enough that he couldn't teleport away.

Nadakhan fell to the earth.

Kai shouted in victory, and Mo and Akita, as wolves, ran up to Nadakhan, who had now righted himself on the ground, and pounced on him. Maya bolted for Nadakhan, and saw Kai, Cole, and her father doing the same.

Jay.

He was going slower than normal, which Maya assumed was that the issue was that he lacked most of his element. Because of her.

She glanced up to the figure in the sky, and watched as it floated down to the ground, it's face hidden by flowing water. But, something felt familiar about it…

Wait, was that her brother?

Wait, when did she have a brother?

Was the timeline changing?

She tried to conjure up water, but found that she couldn't. She felt that her terrible anxiety was gone.

She didn't have water. She only had lightning.

That felt weird.

Mo dodged Nadakhan's fist as he pounced for the Blade, his jaws mere inches away each time.

"Stupid dogs!" Nadakhan shouted, but then cried out in pain. Mo raised his snout, and saw Jay draw his own sword away from Nadakhan's arm.

"He's got some Tiger Widow venom in his blood!" He shouted, and Mo ripped the Blade from Nadakhan's weakened grasp.

"Nooo!" Nadakhan shouted, and Jay kicked him to the ground. Mo ran away from the fight against the Djinn, only to be greeted by more of Nadakhan's pirates.

Before he could get help, which would prove to be difficult while in wolf form and with a sword in his mouth, but he didn't need to. A burst of water cleared a path for him, and the figure who had taken Nadakhan out of the sky nodded to him.

Huh. That thing was sort of familiar. Strange.

Mo kept on running, and met up with Keith, who was facing Monkey Wretch alone. He flawlessly turned into a human once again, and handed him the Blade.

"Hit me. I'm getting our friends."

Keith laughed. "I've been waiting years to do this." Mo closed his eyes as the Blade hit his shoulder, and all he soon saw was green.

Kai could feel his muscles burning, he was so tired of fighting. He could see the whole team fighting countless pirates, Cole, now up-and-at-em, Lloyd, Zane, Maya, Zane, Nya, and Keith facing the masses, while Jay and Akita faced Nadakhan, who had regained his strength faster than anticipated.

Kai had no clue how they were still holding on, the Ninja were severely outnumbered. Where in the world did Nadakhan get all of the pirates from?

Suddenly, he saw another elemental dragon high in the sky. The Master of Fire hit the closest pirate in the face, looking up with curiosity. Was that...

Skylor landed beside Kai, and gave him a smile.

"Hey, stranger."

Kai laughed. "I didn't think you'd show."

She shrugged. "Got bored. Decided to help out."

She gestured to the water-person thing. "What's that?"

"I don't know. It just showed up and started to help us."

"Well, it's a good thing it did, we need all of the help we can get." She replied, giving the pirate ahead of her a good kick to the face.

Before Kai could respond, an orange wave of energy passed over the battlefield, distracting all of the fighters. Kai heard childish laughter in the distance, and saw new brightly-cladded figures charge at the pirates.

He smiled, and knew all of their names instantly. Andy; in white, Gila; in brown and Liam, in black. He couldn't lie, it was good to see the future Ninja of Ninjago again.

"Ninja-go!" Gila shouted, and began to drown the pirates in sand, laughing.

"Yes!" Kai exclaimed, pumping his fist in the air.

They continued to fight, and the Ninja were finally gaining some ground, but the pirates still fought back, never giving up.

That is, until they heard Jay's voice echo throughout the battlefield.

"Nadakhan, I wish you weren't a Djinn!"

Jay held the sword to Nadakhan's throat, while Atika held his arm between her jaws.

"Nadakhan, I wish you weren't a Djinn!" He said, his voice unwavering. Nadakhan's jaw went slack, his eyes wide in fear.

"No, no, fool you don't realize what you just did!"

"I'm saving Ninjago."Jay said, the sword wavering in his grasp. What did he just do? What if something went wrong? He should've really thought about this. Soon, he found all of his confidence leaving his bones, and his knees felt weak.

"If I'm not a Djinn, everyone here that I brought to this time will die! You murdered your own daughter!"

Jay vaguely realized that Nya ran up to stand by his side, and held his other hand.

"They wouldn't die!" She said, her voice filled with venom.

Naakhan gave a weak laugh, trying to sound confident, and had begun to glow orange. "I guess you will find out, Ninja, and I hope that you, Jay, will live to regret this…" With that, the orange covered his whole body, becoming so bright that they had to cover their eyes. When the orange glow faded, all that was left was a man who resembled Nadakhan, but had legs and normal skin. He was unconscious, and Akita released her grip, turning into a human once again.

"That was...weird." She said, staring at the figure on the ground. Jay nodded.

"He's...human."

Nya drew her eyes to the fight that had ceased behind them. "Guys! The pirates are retreating!"

Jay turned on his coms, "Cole, create a hole in the ground, they can't escape!"

"Got it, but I'm still feeling a bit weak!"

Kai's voice made its way into the conversation. "Liam can help, Mo, tell him what to do?"

"Whose Liam?" Cole asked, and Maya laughed.

"You'll see."

They heard the earth rumble in the distance, and the confused voices of the pirates soon became cries of fear, and they disappeared from sight.

"The pirates are stuck in a big hole, they won't escape for a while. Liam's a pretty cool dude." Cole said, and Jay sighed, glad that Liam had managed to help Cole out.

"Good." Taking out a pair of handcuffs, he cuffed the now-powerless Nadakhan, and sat in the dirt, exhausted.

Everyone made their way together, and Nya quickly fixed Pixal. When she awoke, after explaining the situation, the Ninja checked each other over for injuries, luckily only finding minimal wounds, and stayed silent. Eventually, Kai spoke up, and gestured to the water figure, who had hung back.

"Who are you?"

The figure smiled. "Just a friend. I'm pretty sure I'll head back with the rest of the future-born."

"How are you guys going to head back?" Kai asked, and Mo shrugged his shoulders, but Andy spoke up, his robotic voice laced with knowledge.

"From my research, once a Djinn loses his powers, his control over anything goes away, in other words, the wishes he fulfilled, other than the one that made him mortal, will be reversed. We should return to our time momentarily."

Jay soon heard a ticking sound, like a clock, and looked to Maya, who appeared to have heard the same thing.

"Hear that?" She asked, wrapping her arms around her shoulders, and he nodded.

Tick, tick, tick, tick.

"Dad!" Keith shouted, and ran to Kai, who wrapped his arms around him in a hug. "I don't want to go back, you're not there, you're gone, and一"

Kai held him tightly. "You can do it, okay? I'm so proud of you, I know that you're going to be amazing. Everythings going to be fine, you just have to keep on going."

"But一"

"No. No buts. Our breed, Smith, we never quit. We're strong, and will keep on going. Remember that."

Keith nodded, and wrapped Kai in another hug.

Lloyd gave Mo a solid handshake.

"Never lose that leader I see in you, got that?"

Mo laughed. "You sound exactly like my dad."

"I wonder why." Lloyd said, and handed him his sword.

"Whaa?"

"You deserve it."

At the same time, Maya gave her future parents a hug. Jay gave her a smile, and gave her a kiss on her forehead.

"We'll see you soon, Maya. I believe it."

Tick, Tick, Tick, Tick.

"I love you guys, forever."

TICK, TICK, TICK, TICK

And, in a flash of orange, everyone from the future was gone. The ticking stopped.

Jay held Nya as she shook, and Kai, placed his head in his hands, feeling wetness on his cheeks. Skylor placed her hand on his shoulder, and Lloyd stood, giving a sad smile, kicking the dirt. The others took Nadakhan away in silence.

Jay tried not to be angry, he knew that Cole, Zane, Akita, and Pixal were not as close to their future children, but he just lost his daughter, his darling, beautiful daughter.

No, not lost forever. Just temporarily. Hopefully.

A voice drew him out of his thoughts. "I already miss her, Jay."

He rubbed Nya's shoulder. "Me, too." He felt the lightning inside of him flow through his bones, likely returned from when Maya borrowed it, and smiled. Now, not only was he connected to his element once again, but that feeling reminded him so much of her. The girl that set the sky blazing with blue light. Maya. His daughter.

A couple months after what Ninjago called the Battle of Unity, Jay and Nya got married. They took a photo, one where the team photobombed the overjoyed couple. Jay framed it.

Months after their marriage, Kai and Skylor became engaged, getting married soon after.

Akita moved to Ninjago, and her and Lloyd's relationship grew.

Two years after their marriage, Jay and Nya had a pair of twins, a boy and a girl. The boy they called Jaxson, and the girl called Maya.

It was found out years later that Jaxson was blessed with Water, while Maya was gifted with Lightning.

They called them the HydroElectric Twins.

The Walker family had never been happier.
