Naruto's POV I was inside Kaede's house packing some of my stuff to get ready to head back to my own time and back to my own village Konoha. The reason I was heading back was because I was running low on supplies along with other things plus I want to go home and see my mom and my little brother and grandpa. Oh did I forget to mention? I've been adopted by the Higurashi family. Mrs Higurashi and everyone else loved having me around so much plus I had become even closer to them since I basically sleep there now and so on so they decided to make it official and adopt me.
When I got the news when I got back home I felt so happy I remembered embracing my new family hugging them closely not at all caring about the fact that I was crying sure grandpa gave me an odd gift which was a kappa hand as a welcome to the family gift but none the less I was so happy and grateful at the gift and of my new family.
I smiled at the thought of them as I finished packing and stand up and head towards the door. "Granny Kaede I'm heading now please look after Ryoko for me while I'm away." I told her making her look at me and smile at me in a grandmotherly way. "Of course you take care now Naruto." She says to me and I walked out and head towards the well carrying my back pack on my back as I looked around.
I had to quickly get to the well before Inuyasha realizes I'm trying to leave since once he finds out he'll try to stop me. I rolled my eyes at the thought of him as I tried not think of it too much. When I see the well up ahead I look around. "Okay the cost is clear." I said to myself quietly as I tried to run to the well when suddenly a red blur appears before me. "What's your hurry Naruto?" Inuyasha asked me as he now stood in front of the well blocking me from its path making me gained an annoyed look on my face.
"Not so fast. You're not going anywhere until you hand over the shards of the sacred jewel." He tells me while pointing a clawed finger at me making me face palm. "Look Inuyasha I don't have time for this okay, in my era it's only natural boys around my age would like to go home and see their families and maybe spend a little time with their friends and so on without having to worry when a demon is gonna eat you for lunch besides I'm low on supplies in case we have to leave the village to find more jewel shards so I have to stock up on things as well." I told him as I was starting to lose my patience.
I then see Inuyasha lifting up a large Boulder making me raise an eyebrow. "What the heck are you doing?" I asked him making him turn to me with his usual smirk on his face. "What does it look like? I'm going to cover up the well for good. Then you won't be able to escape to that strange era of yours. Good riddance!" He says and was about to block the entrance of the well with said Boulder but he seems to forget about my secret weapon. ""Sit!" I shout out and I kept saying it over and over again until he falls down on the ground and the Boulder falls on him and his back making me wince a bit.
That's gotta hurt, I kinda felt a tad bit guilty but at the same time I felt it was his own fault for this since it was him whom decided to lift up the large Boulder. I then shake my head a bit I'll at least come back and apologize later as I climbed over to the well and turn to him. "Stay here, I'll be back in three days so don't even think about following me okay." I told him and then I left as I jumped through the well and made it back to my own era when suddenly sake was dumped on my head making my eye twitch.
I looked up and see grandpa and Sota cheering for my return and grandpa being so happy that his come through the well prayer worked and then they were talking about some other stuff...it's just so weird. I shake my head and climbed out the well. I smelled my clothes and coughed when I realized I now stink like Sake. Oh well now that I'm home I'll go take a bath.
No one's POV
Later on after finishing taking a bath Naruto dries himself off and puts some clothes on. "Naruto can you walk Sota to school please? I have to get ready for work!" Mrs. Higurashi asked him making Naruto look at his new mother and smile at her. "Sure mom." He says to her and helps Sota grab his stuff and head out to the civilian school he goes to while on the way out petting Buyo the cat. "Hey Naruto where's your boyfriend Inuyasha? Is he coming by?" Sota asked him curiously making Naruto turn a bright red. "He's not my boyfriend Sota besides he's such a jerk why would I ever want to date him?" Naruto says to him as he was still blushing as he turns his head away.
"Ah huh sure you don't." Kurama says to him as he could feel the Fox smirking inside the seal. "Shut up." Naruto says back to him as they arrived at the school. "Well here we are Sōta, I hope you have a good day today." Naruto tells him and leaves the Civilian school which has grades from K through 12 but on the way out Naruto sees someone riding a bike and heading towards him. "Oh hey Naru." Hojo says to him with a smile on his face. "Oh good morning Hojo." Naruto greeted him as he waved to him.
Hojo comes riding his bike over and asked him how he was doing on that mission of his and Naruto tells him he was doing well and so on and Hojo hands Naruto something that was for helping him in case he was injured on a mission. "Oh by the way congratulations on being adopted you must be very happy with your new family." Hojo says to him making Naruto smile at him. He knows Hojo seems to have a crush on him but if he was to be honest he just wasn't entirely interested in him it wasn't that Hojo wasn't a nice guy and all it's just he wasn't really his type but he if had to choose him between him and Sasuke he would choose Hojo in a heartbeat.
"Thank you Hojo I appreciate it, oh I actually should be heading back now I promised Hinata and Ino that we would have lunch together today." Naruto tells him making Hojo smile and nod his head in understanding. "Okay see ya later Naruto." He says to him and Naruto walks off and heads to the place where they were going to meet for lunch.
Meanwhile back in the Feudal Era
Inuyasha was in Kaede's house as he was rubbing his back which was in pain. "Ooh just wait til you come back Naruto. You're gonna pay for this." Inuyasha thinks to himself as he tries to get up again but he falls back down in pain while thinking of different methods of revenge as he remembered a conversation with Shippo earlier today.
Flashback Inuyasha was limping home his back still in pain after what Naruto did with those sit commands that caused the Boulder to fall on his back and causing him to throw out his back he was very annoyed as he was silently plotting his revenge when he comes across Shippo. "So you got another punishment from Naruto huh? I guess he's the one who's in charge around here isn't he?" Shippo asked him being blunt causing Inuyasha to send him a deadly glare as he kicks him away hard causing Shippo to fly into the air. And now not only Inuyasha's back was hurting his pride was as well. "Ohh just you wait Naruto when you get back I'm going to show you who the real alpha is around here." Inuyasha thinks to himself as he had a devious grin on his face.
Flashback Ends Inuyasha smirks to himself as he already knew what he was going to do to prove to Naruto just who was in charge around here, he knew that Naruto may have some trouble walking for awhile but he knew that it was going to be worth it in the end once he had Naruto right in palm of his hand. "Plus you like him and want him as your mate that's why you're also doing this." Inner Inuyasha spoke to him in a sing song voice making Inuyasha mentally glare at his inner self while trying to fight the blush that was trying to come onto his face.
"Shut up! Like I would ever fall for some stupid brat whom is the reincarnation of that woman whom is also obsessed with Orange and ramen and...is cute and sweet and smells nice and is so innocent and is strong and compassionate and has a nice little plump...oh damn it! How the Hell did this happen?!" Inuyasha thinks to himself as he wondered how in the world he had ever started getting feelings for Naruto.
Sure they had known each other for awhile and all and seemed to have gotten close but did he really like him? Inuyasha frowns at the thought he guessed this was something he would have to think about as he decides to just focus on his revenge on Naruto for now.
Back in the Modern Era at Higurashi Shrine
Naruto was heading home after having lunch with his friends he was thinking about the conversation he had with his friends as he was blushing a bit. "Do I really like Inuyasha? I mean yeah we've known each other for awhile not long but still we've already been through so much...can I really have a crush on him?" Naruto thinks to himself as he thinks about it and frowns. "Maybe but he probably wouldn't like me after all Inuyasha had dated a girl fifty years ago whom I'm just so happen to be the reincarnation of so he probably wouldn't be interested in me." Naruto says to himself as he then looks at the road ahead and sees people running towards the Higurashi shrine and he automatically got a bad feeling.
Naruto runs towards the shrine and enters inside and runs upstairs. "Mom!" Naruto yells up making Mrs. Higurashi turn to him. "Oh Naruto you're home it's okay everything's fine." She tells him making him look at her confused and scared. "What happened?" Naruto asked her as she tells him that a small fire broke out in the store room and that Grandpa was now in the hospital but he was going to be okay making Naruto feel a punch in his gut.
When they arrived at the hospital Naruto's adopted grandfather was muttering about stuff that just wasn't making sense he was talking about the flesh eating noh mask and that he was repeating it multiple times in his sleep. Naruto frowns at that he wondered what his grandfather meant by that. A few hours later Naruto was back at home in the shrine to look after his brother. He was in his room reading a ninjutsu scroll which he had hoped to master as he was also wearing his pjs and sleeping cap which looked like a dog. (It's the same kind of sleep wear he wears in the anime.)
While he was doing this his door opens making him look and see Sota and Buyo. "Sōta you okay?" Naruto asked him curiously making him hug his blanket close to himself while Buyo was clinging onto the blanket with his claws. "Hey Umm big brother is it okay if Buyo and I sleep with you tonight?" Sōta asked him making Naruto frown he could tell Sōta was scared. "Okay but just for one night." Naruto tells him making Sota happy to hear that.
Sota laid out his sleeping bag on the ground and sits on it with Buyo as he looks at Naruto with curiosity. "Hey Naruto what do you scared grandpa?" Sota asked him curiously making Naruto frown a bit. "No idea but mom said that when grandpa was found and all he said that he had protection talismans in his mouth and on his face so whatever it was that scared him he had tried to use the talismans to protect him from whatever it was that was attacking him." Naruto says to him when he then remembered something.
"That's right grandpa talked about a flesh eating mask, could this mask be a demon of some kind?" Naruto thinks to himself while biting his lip a bit when suddenly the window shattered. "Give them to me, give me the jewel shards." Naruto and Sota heard as they see a noh mask with a goopy like body coming through the window it just smashed.
Naruto's eyes widen when he sees that it has a jewel shard in the mask. "That mask... that must be the one grandpa was talking about in the hospital." Naruto says to himself while he stares at it he then sees that it was trying to grab the small glass container that has the jewel shards in it and Naruto automatically grabs it and begins to run away with Sota.
While running away Sota noticed Naruto's hand bleeding a bit which Naruto assured him he was okay and that he had just cut himself on some glass. While running Naruto looks back and mentally curses when he sees the mask still chasing them. "Sota listen to me very carefully I want you to go to the well and get Inuyasha quickly." Naruto tells him making Sota nod his head as Naruto puts him down and Naruto waves through some hand signs. "Shadow clone jutsu!" Naruto yells out and makes copies of himself planning on keeping the mask busy while Sota goes to get Inuyasha.
He and his clones then runs in different directions while the mask chases after him. Sota goes down to where the well is and gulps nervously. "I have to do this big brother needs me." Sota says and then he jumps down into the well to attempt to travel back in time but he fails and just falls flat on his face.
But despite that it didn't stop him and so he began to try to dig himself a path to where Inuyasha was but then suddenly the well began to glow and Inuyasha appears before him with his usual grin on his face. "It's you. You're Inuyasha." Sota says making the half demon smirk at him. "In the flesh kid. Now what's this problem you need help with?" Inuyasha asked him his smirk never leaving his face once.
A few moments later Inuyasha and Sota are jumping from roof to roof with Sota riding on Inuyasha's back. "Hang on tight kid. It's a long way down." Inuyasha tells him as Sota gains a sad look on his face. "I guess I wasn't strong enough to pass through the hidden well." Sota says to him while Inuyasha keeps tracking Naruto's scent. "Lucky for you, because in my world there are plenty of monsters who'd just love to have you for lunch." Inuyasha tells him making Sota pale at that.
Inuyasha sniffs the air as he could smell Naruto's scent is getting closer he could even smell that he had cut his hand on something and was bleeding. "Okay find Naruto quickly and then save him from the evil mask thing and then later on drag him back to the feudal era with the jewel shards and then get my revenge on him for what happened this morning." Inuyasha thinks to himself while smirking to himself he had everything all set up and prepared for his little revenge on Naruto plus he got a chance to get some stress out as well so it worked out perfectly for him.
He keeps following his scent until they come across a large construction sight. Naruto was still running from the mask when Inuyasha finally shows up. "Iron reaver soul stealer!" He shouts out and slashed at the mask destroying it as it breaks in half. Naruto then passes out from exhaustion making Sota freak out a bit but Inuyasha simply carries him back bridal style back to the shrine while Sota rides his back once more.
Two days later Naruto had all of his stuff packed and he had plenty of supplies for himself as well as he goes down the well once more and goes to see Inuyasha and Shippo and Ryoko when he then climbs out of the well he felt something odd he was about to grab a kunai knife when he was the grabbed from behind a hand covering his mouth and he was knocked out.
When Naruto woke up he looks around confused not knowing what was going on as he finds his wrists tied up above his head to a wooden pole and that to his shock and horror he was only wearing his boxers. He then hears footsteps walking towards him and his eyes widen when he sees a familiar smirking face. "Hey there Naruto it's pay back time." Inuyasha says to him with a smirk on his face and a lustful look in his eyes making Naruto shiver knowing whatever was going to happen next it wasn't going to be good.
