11 Yay! Tension.

You guys are officially caught up to Wattpad !

(Kagome POV)

We were now several meters above the island as it fell faster than us.

"Sango! Can you take Lord Miroku and Shippo on Kirara?" I yelled.

Sango motioned for her demon friend and gave me a thumbs up. She hoisted the two of them onto Kirara's back.

"Hina! Do you think you can hold Koga, yourself and I on your cloud?" I hollered to the girl behind me.

"What about me!?" InuYasha cried.

"What about you?" I snapped.

I don't think he heard but the expression on my face must have conveyed my response since he recoiled with a remorseful look.

"Lady Kagome!"

I snapped my attention to the voice and felt despair. Hina was struggling to expand the cotton into a cloud. It wouldn't even be able to hold her up.

"It's fine I'll think of something," I mumbled to myself.

I looked at each member of our group. I examined our surroundings. I tried to conjure a ball of energy big enough to shield four, but my stores were depleted. A final desperate look around reminded me Sesshomaru was with us.

'That's great 5 people who aren't likely to survive this- wait that's it!'

I looked the silver haired demon in the eyes. He stared back, daring me to do something.

"Lord Sesshomaru! I know you just saved my friends and we all owe you a life debt. I have no right to ask this of you. None of us will hold it against you if you say no, but could you please help us?" I yelled.

Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes and just when I thought he would say no he was enveloped in a bright light. In his place was a giant dog demon. I marveled at the sight he made as he moved closer to those of us who weren't on Kirara's back. We weren't that far away from the ground, so the two demons raced towards the edge of the island at and upward angle.

Seconds later we were watching the island crash onto the earth. There was a massive dust cloud and the boom was deafening. We sat there drinking it in before Sesshomaru and Kirara lead us towards the general area of where Hina met the group. Once they landed, everyone took a moment to recollect themselves after all the action.

"Thanks again Lord Sesshomaru. I will do almost anything to repay you or your kindness," I said feeling like a broken record.

The great dog demon grunted as everyone- well almost everyone- bowed in thanks to him before turning away and walking off.

"Well this has been fun, but I must return to Naraku before dark. I can only be away or so long before his paranoia starts eating at him," Hina sighed before walking off in a different direction.

"I shall be in contact with you soon."

The rest of us watched her departure with apprehension. Then the group slowly started walking in the general direction of the Village hoping to get there before the tension snapped.

TIME SKIP

We had called an early night because everyone was mentally and physically exhausted after the battle. It was now early morning and we were on the final stretch of our journey. Koga had left a few minutes ago when Ginta came running up to him for wolf tribe business. Of course, Koga gave me a kiss on the hand as a farewell, but I pulled him back for a proper one on the lips. Which is why InuYasha has been growling nonstop for the last few meters.

"Shut up before I take your skin for a cloak!" Sango yelled as she finally snapped.

"Feh! As If you could touch me! You're human-!"

"Careful. You're starting to sound like the brother you hate so much. I don't blame you though he's definitely the better sibli-

"Why you- shut up you bitch! ARGH!"

InuYasha made to claw her but I had already turned around to kick him in the balls as my temper appeared. I was ready to clock the fool.

"SIT BOY! And just shut up BEFORE one of us decides to permanently make you mortal," I said glaring at the body on the ground.

The rest of us entered the village and greeted Lady Kaede. She took us to her hut where we ate an early lunch and explained everything that had happened on the journey. After she grumbled a bit about the half-bloods stupidity, we all sat in silence sipping on some calming herbal tea. Sango and I left the hut to change out off our battle wear.

"Do you want to go play with some of the village kids or have you got something else in mind?" Sango asked breaking the silence.

I shook my head. "After yesterday's fight I think the group should get a few days to process what happened, regroup some lost braincells. I'm going to head home for a bit. I'll probably take two days and catch up on what I've missed. Maybe when I come back, we can go on a minor adventure. Just the two of us."

Sango smiled at the idea and gave me a hug. We went back to the hut so I could say bye to the boys and grab my stuff then walked to the well.

"Enjoy your break Kagome. The gods know you'll need it to deal with all of this drama," Sango sighed already dreading another encounter with InuYasha.

"I'll try Sango. Take care of everyone- well almost everyone."

And with those final words I jumped down the well.

(No one's POV)

As the ravenette jumped down and into the magical portal a black shade followed. The evil aura hid itself in the shadow of the bag. The Miko continued to the future clueless as to what followed.

"Oh? Kagome you're back early. Is everything alright? Did you run out of supplies?"

Kagome threw her bag onto the floor and walked to her mother and hugged her.

"Kagome? What brought this one? Not that I'm complaining!" Ms. Hirugashi asked with growing concern.

"Yes, something did happen. But I'll tell you later first I want to take a nice bath and nap," Kagome said into her mother's shoulder.

"Oh alright. Be ready to talk after lunch though."

The Miko kissed her mother's cheek before running into her room. The strange shadow leaping from the bag's shadow into her's.

Several minutes later Kagome finally laid down on her bed to rest. Underneath her bead frame the darkness started to pulse a malicious purple light. The exhausted Miko's magic began to pulse in unison.

(Elsewhere...)

A man who isn't quite human watched the magic user as she slept through a mirror.

"That's it Kaage. Plant small suggestions. We shan't allow the girl to catch on."

Well damn. That took a while to write. So all of the chapters have been edited and I know exactly where the hell I'm going with the plot know.

Will we see Sesshomaru again? Will He take Kagome up on her offer? Who and What is Kaage (it means shadow)? What is going on with Kagome? Will this affect her core?

I would say stay safe, but I might actually strangle the next person to say that to me so do what you got to do to avoid a hospital visit. Don't give in to bad thoughts try to stay in contact with friends. If anyone needs to rant or talk my PMs are open.
