"Happy New Year, one and all! It's the first day of the New Year and let's kick it off with a Toon Cable News special report." Gumball greeted as he picked up his paper. "With every New Year, there will always be some delinquents and we all now them and fireworks rarely go well together. Well that just happened right now when two teens fired of a firework at a building. Now that wouldn't be so bad if the building they hit wasn't the fireworks factory. Darwin is on the scene right now."
"Thanks, Gumball." Darwin said. "Yeah, as you can see, the fire is blazing and fireworks are flying all over the city. Fire-"
Darwin was cut off when he was hit with a firework, causing him to scream just as the feed cut to static.
"Uh, let's move on." Gumball gulped. "We go over to Anais for the weather."
The little pink bunny was about to start when she started to look around suspiciously.
"Anais, what's wrong?" The blue cat asked.
"Don't you watch this show?" Anais replied. "The weather person almost always gets crushed by that screen."
"Oh yeah, good point." He said. "Well, maybe it'll be your lucky day, New Year and all."
"Still, I'm not taking any chances."
A second after saying that, a firework flew in through the window and narrowly missed Gumball before hitting the screen and exploding. The monitor creaked and lurched forward, but Anais leapt out of the just as it came crashing down in a shower of sparks.
"Told you." Anais gloated.
Suddenly, another firework flew in and this time hit a spotlight, which fell on and knocked out Anais.
"I really need to get outta here. This is Gumball Watterson, really wishing I was somewhere else." Gumball reported just before a bunch of fireworks flew into the studio, and blew up as the feed cut to static then to a technical difficulties card.
