Chapter Nine
To put it shortly:
Keefe no longer liked cool, refreshing staircases in the middle of an active volcano.
They'd walked down the stair case in a surprisingly short amount of time, especially considering how far they'd climbed-and how deep it went-when they found more lava.
"Oh, good," he'd said, "for a sec I thought this wasn't a volcano and that Hermione was wrong for once. Then I would start having to ask Luna Lovegood or someone for answers."
Knowing the Neverseen (or whatever group this was, since the original creepy-dude-gang were gone for-e-ver) Foster had made her hated-fancy-sparkly-ruffly dresses super compact (just so she could waste them whenever she got the chance) and she'd thrown one into the lava.
After watching for a moment, she told them to follow her.
Then she jumped in.
Of course everyone panicked for quite a while-or that's what Keefe assumed, as he'd jumped in right after her and it took the others a solid three minutes to join them.
After that there were lasers everywhere, like in a cheesy human-ninja-spy-movie-thing (or whatever it was that Juline watched).
Then some gorgodons (what?! How'd they come back from extinction?!).
Then a block that was red with a white line through the center that said "TNT" ("Minecraft? Really" muttered Foster).
Then phantom Fintans, Brants, Giselas, Vesperas, Ruys, Gethens, and some weird dude doing a wiggle dance Foster called "orange justice." (?). Those projections (aside form the dancing dude) were a little too close to his nightmares for comfort.
Now here they stood, after all that, at a door that wasn't even locked.
Bangs Boy stepped forward, tugged on his stupid bangs, and whispered something. Shadowflux shot out of his wrists and opened the door.
They walked in to a face Keefe had never thought he'd see again.
"G-grandma?!" he choked out.
She smiled. "Yep! In the flesh! You didn't really think I was dead, now, did you, Keefe?"
Author speaking:
Sorry lolll. I can be so mean sometimes. I honestly wonder who Keefe's actual grandparents are. You'll find out the name for his grandma on Gisela's side in the next chapter (according to me, to Shannon Messenger). Before UNLOCKED came out, I wrote the first ten chapters, so for chapters 11, 12 and 13 I'll try to incorporate his new ability (yes he has one. Go read UNLOCKED now before I spoil it a tiny bit). Yes, I did finish writing it! 13 chapters! I have no idea how authors do this all the time. Guess I'll just write oneshots from now on hehe. I will make you suffer at least a day in between chapter uploads though. Hehe sorry.
