Midoriya hadn't been back to the bar in a few weeks fearing that Shigaraki would kill him on the spot. All for One had allowed him to train somewhere else for the time being. But the decision was made for Midoriya to start coming back to the main base, apparently, Shigaraki had calmed down enough to be trusted. Midoriya still knew he had to be cautious when he went back. He admired Shigaraki but could see he acted like a child when something didn't go his way. Midoriya put on his clothes and rushed out of the door, he hadn't really talked to her since their argument. Something told him she saw him differently now and that wasn't Instinct. On the way to the train station, there was an explosion in the distance. Excited he Blinked to the top of a nearby building hoping to get a good view of the fight standing on the edge to get the best view.
"Wow looks like some amazing quirks are at play over there, but that fight is as good as over." He mumbled to himself.
Just as he said that there was a final explosion and then cheering from the people standing on the sidelines, cheering the names of the heroes involved. Midoriya looked through the notebook he had seeing if he could find the heroes who were at the scene. There were a few in there but there were a few he knew he hadn't made notes on yet. He got out his phone and set a reminder to find the video so he could take notes. He even made pages for the new heroes to help him.
"No don't jump!" A voice suddenly shouted.
Before Midoriya had any time to react he was tackled off the ledge and onto the roof of the building in a heap with two others on top of him. When he looked at the people on top of him he saw Uraraka and Iida in their UA uniforms and another at the door of the roof clearly out of breath.
"Ow, my wrist hurts." Iida moaned.
"Well, my everything hurts." Midoriya said.
"Oh sorry." Uraraka apologized.
Uraraka got up and then proceeded to help Iida and Midoriya up. They all had a couple of scrapes and bruises but nothing too bad. Midoriya got out his first aid kit and patched the three of them up. They then bowed and apologized for what had happened.
"We're sorry we jumped to conclusions and thought you were going to jump." Uraraka said.
"Yeah, we didn't really think about the other alternatives." Iida said.
"It's fine you did what you thought was right and that's a great quality for aspiring heroes." Midoriya said.
"I saw you and just acted, it's my fault." Uraraka said.
"Really it's fine, Uraraka right? Not many people look up so it's impressive that you noticed me." Midoriya said.
"Thank you." she said smiling.
Her smile made Midoriya blush and have a tight feeling in his chest. This girl was really cute and that's all he could focus on. He couldn't help but smile back at her contagious smile.
"Hey, can I ask you guys about your quirks?" Midoriya asked.
"Some kind of fanboy are you?" a boy with half white hair asked.
"Haha yeah sorta, I just like noting down quirks it's a hobby of mine."
"I'm sorry Bakugo never told us your name." Iida said.
"Oh I'm Izuku Midoriya, you can call me Midoriya if you want."
"I'm Todoroki, nice to meet you Midoriya."
Midoriya was amazed for a moment and focused on Todoroki.
"Wait does that mean you're Endeavor's son?" Midoriya asked eagerly.
"Indeed that does," Iida said. "I am the younger brother of Ingenium."
"Wow, so many amazing lineages," Midoriya exclaimed. "Todoroki I presume you have a fire quirk."
"Yeah my left side is fire but my right side is ice which I got from my mother." He explained.
"Wow and Iida do you have any engines like your brother."
"Yes I do but mine are in my calves, not my arms." Iida explained.
Midoriya was scribbling down as much as he could making sure to get down every detail he could. However he couldn't help feel bad, he could've killed Iida a few weeks ago and this conversation would've never happened. He couldn't help but think about how much his actions as a villain could really affect the world around him.
"Uraraka your quirk lets people float right?" Midoriya asked.
"Not exactly I can make it so anything I touch weightless and float that includes myself but not for long," Uraraka explained. "Can I ask you something now?"
"Yeah of course."
"What's with all the scars and bruises?" She asked concerned.
"Yes, I was concerned when I saw them too." Iida said.
"Oh yeah I do martial arts training and sometimes I get really bruised when I push myself. And the scars are self-harm, I'm quirkless so I went through a rough patch and I did this," Midoriya lied. "That's why I like the edges of buildings, it helps me keep calm."
The three UA students were quiet, shocked by what they had just heard. Uraraka walked forward and wrapped her arms around Midoriya. He felt warm and happy and safe. Everything that was bothering him was washed away and replaced with her and this moment. He could feel his cheeks getting warm as he blushed. Iida and Todoroki were even more shocked at Uraraka's boldness.
"You don't feel that bad anymore do you?" She asked.
Midoriya shook his head and hesitantly put his arms around her.
"Not really some people helped me out and I know what I have to do." Midoriya said, holding Uraraka tighter.
All four of them stood on the roof in silence, the only sound being the people and cars on the street below.
"Well give me your number and you can call me if you feel like that again and then we can be friends." Uraraka said looking up at Midoriya smiling.
He felt his chest get even tighter and his face get even redder. His heart was getting faster and faster and his palms were getting sweaty.
"Um... yeah sure sounds good." Midoriya said a bit nervous.
"Us too," Tokoroki said. "We're heroes in training too so if you're in danger we can help you."
Midoriya had a new feeling rising inside of him. For the first time in his life, he had real friends. He got his phone out and gave the trio his number and got each of theirs taking their pictures so he could put them with the contacts, just in case.
"We're walking to the train station if you'd like to join us." Iida offered.
"Yeah sure I was heading there anyway." Midoriya said with an uncontrollable smile on his face.
While they walked Midoriya was asked questions about his past and what had happened. Midoriya also asked about them and tried to get more information about the quirks in their class. He'd already seen a few but there were some he didn't understand and others he hadn't even seen. He didn't want to use his new friends but this information may decrease his chances of getting killed.
"Oh yeah, Midoriya do you have any tips on how to defeat Bakugo?" Uraraka asked.
"Not really, his quirk is so powerful in so many ways I haven't been able to find any weaknesses," Midoriya said. "Why do you wanna know?"
"The sports festival is coming up so we may have to go up against him." Iida explained.
"Are you going Midoriya?" Todoroki asked.
"Yeah I wouldn't miss it for the world, so many unique quirks in one place how could I not go." Midoriya asked excitedly.
When they finally got to the train station they parted ways since they had to get different trains. Midoriya, Iida, and Uraraka had made a plan to meet up at the station and walk together. Uraraka messaged Midoriya while he was on his train telling him to have a good day. He thanked her and said the same back. Midoriya was beyond happy. he'd gotten a lot of information and he'd made some friends.
