Chapter 10
Disclaimer: I don't own digimon or anything related to it. I do own some of the OCs that will appear later on and also some of the digimon designs. I intend to use all ten legendary spirits and have created designs for four extra spirits.
Note: As a reminder: I am taking some stuff from adventure Tri.
About Daisuke, Iori, and Miyoko, I think I will put them in next few chapters. There is just too much stuff. I need to work on this situation. Ken will be in next chapter, though.
I know I am focusing on some characters more than others but I think it would be better to focus on things one at a time.
"This is bad!" Mimi exclaimed.
"Yes, that's why..."
"What if they are hurt?" Mimi said, cutting
Sora.
"Mimi calm-"
"What if an evil digimon kidnapped them?"
Hikari spoke, "Mimi'san..."
"Why didn't anyone tell me? You guys are so mean. Oh my! I didn't know that! What kind of friend I am. I am not a good friend."
"Mimi, it's not true," Her partner said and turned to her friends, "Why didn't you told us before. Now you made Mimi upset."
"I guess exactly for this reason," Tailmon replied.
Koichi watched Mimi speaking, half fascinated, half astounded. He had a feeling she won't be stopping anytime soon, so he approached the boys of the group and waited while Mimi was talking.
Finally, Sora put her hand on Mimi's mouth,
"Easy," She removed her hand, "Take a deep breath and calm down,"
Mimi followed her instructions and took a deep breath,
"I am sorry for not being here, guys. I am such a ..."
"Hey, it's alright," Takeru replied, "We will find them,"
"Sorry that we didn't tell you!" Hikari added,
"We thought it would be better to tell you when you arrive."
"We didn't want to disturb you?" Sora added.
"It's alright," Mimi replied, "So have you guys found anything yet."
"Not yet, but Koshiro was trying to find a way to contact Gennai," Taichi replied.
"Really!" She exclaimed, "Did you manage it."
Koshiro sighed, "Not yet-"
"-Then why are you wasting time? Do your work!" Mimi snapped at the redhead.
"Uh, of course!" He spun his chair around and started hitting keys on his keyboard.
"You better find a way!" She crossed her arms and sat down on the carpet.
"I have been trying!"
Koichi couldn't help chuckling. This girl knew how to leave depression a mile behind in an instant. She will get along with Izumi well: much to the annoyance of Koji, Takuya, and Tomoki.
"But how did this happened?"
"We don't know about Daisuke and Miyoko, but Iori disappeared in front of our eyes," Hikari replied.
"His digivice flashed, and the next moment he was gone," Takeru added.
"You mean he became invisible?" Agumon asked.
"No," Taichi replied.
"So, he didn't disappear?"
"Yes, he did,"
"But you just said he didn't become invisible!"
"He disappeared but didn't become invisible,"
Taichi replied.
"Oh! I get it,"
"Well, here is a surprise," Tentomon commented.
"Must have used the gate system in their digivice then," Agumon said, and Koichi snapped his gaze toward him. He didn't know Agumon for even an hour, but by others' reaction, he could tell, that was a high score on the yellow dinosaur's intelligence achievement. Anyway, what's a gate system?
"That was pretty smart!" Gabumon commented.
Agumon climbed on the bed, "I am smart," He jumped, flapping his arms, and hit the floor with a THUD.
"Sure, you are!" Tailmon commented.
Taichi sighed.
"Gate?" Koichi asked.
"So you don't know about gates," Takeru said.
He showed Koichi a device that looked like a detector, "You see, mine,
Hikari's, and our missing friends' digivices can connect to digiworld through a computer."
"So, you can go to digiworld anytime you want?"
"If the gate is open from the other side," Koshiro replied.
Still, that is one handy ability. Takuya would burst into flames with jealousy and anger. Koichi also felt a bit like a second choice. Why didn't Ophanimon give them such devices?
"How did you guys went to digiworld?" Koshiro asked.
"Through Trailmon," Their faces told him they had no idea what he just said, "They are living train. They came to the underground station to get us." Not him. He didn't get the message. Why?
"So that's what that station is for," Koshiro said. Koichi could his mind working at light speed.
"Koshiro, what about Gennai!" Mimi snapped.
"I have been trying since last night," He turned back to his laptop, clicked on something, and a new window appeared,
"I haven't had any breakthrough."
"If this is related to digiworld, then only Gennai can help us," Yamato said, "Is something going on in digiworld? Like some suspicious activity."
"Not really," Biyomon replied, "things have been pretty calm lately."
"Why does that sound so suspicious?" Sora asked.
"And weird," Mimi added.
"Oh, there are those skylights," Agumon said, getting the attention of all humans.
"Skylights?" Taichi asked.
"Yeah, I have seen them too," Palmon added.
"You mean auroras?" Koshiro asked.
"No," Gabumon replied, "These are waves of red light that run through the sky sometimes."
"And sometimes they stay, and the entire sky turns red," Biyomon added, "There was no blue color for miles."
Mimi grabbed the little plant digimon and hugged her tightly, "Did it hurt you, Palmon?"
"No. It just came and left." Palmon replied.
"But they feel weird in the sky," Patamon added, "All tingly and hot and cold at the same time!"
Koichi got a questioning look from others and shrugged his shoulders, "I have no idea."
"This might have something to do with the disappearance of your friends," Koichi suggested.
Yamato nodded, "When did it first start?"
"After we lost connection with you guys," Tailmon replied.
"Definitely not a coincidence," Taichi replied, "Any guesses, Koshiro?" He asked.
The redhead crossed his arms, "Maybe it's a virus or electrical phenomenon. But I am not sure if it's natural or not."
Takeru crossed his arms, "There is a chance some dark digimon is behind all this,"
Koichi's brain ceased all of its processes to focus on that one line. How the heel did Takeru reached that conclusion,
"Why do you think that?" The looks others' gave made him feel like he
is stupid and should already know the answer.
"Because all our enemies were they!" Gabumon replied as if it should be obvious.
"Dark digimons are bad!" Patamon added.
Obviously, it was uncharted and dangerous territory. Koichi could already tell things aren't going to go as smoothly between them as he would have liked.
"What? You didn't have any problems with them?" Sora asked, having a hint of surprise in her tone.
Now how does he tell them he used to become one? It's like saying, I am from the family that tried to kill you multiple times. Koichi thought about this whole situation as fast as possible. There was certainly a lot of hostility toward dark digimons. He had to be careful with what he tells
them later. Koji was right. It's better not to reveal everything. But for now,
he tried to be honest, "Not really," Except for the fact that he was
one and almost killed his friends, but as Tomoki would have said, it's a story for another time.
The looks he got made him question his decision about lying.
"Really?" Hikari asked.
Koichi considered his answer. He could lie and say he was joking, but perhaps he should be honest. It might help them get over their views. Yeah, like it's that easy! Still, "Yeah,"
"Well, that's new!" Agumon commented.
"For once, you are making sense!" Tentomon replied.
Tailmon was eyes him as if he had tried to murder her. And Koichi could tell those claws are no joke. How can things get any wo…
"No, don't say that. You will curse yourself and us as well," Junpei had once said.
"So, what kind of digimon did you faced?" Yamato asked. Koichi didn't miss the doubts in his tone.
"Mostly light and knight digimons. Dark digimons aren't that bad," Koichi shouldn't have said that! Koichi felt suffocated by the looks he was getting, "But Lucymon got his hands on the power of dark..."
"I don't believe it?" Tailmon replied.
Okay, so damage control didn't work. No need to worry! Things aren't out of hand. Hopefully!
"You sure you weren't dreaming about all that!" Agumon asked.
Great! Even the most innocent digimon was making fun of
him now! On top of that, this little dinosaur had no idea how close he was to Koichi's past. He was physically in this world, after all. It was such a cruel yet funny joke.
"Dude, it's..." Taichi exchanged a glance with Yamato, "Hard to believe."
"This a lie!" Takeru snapped.
Koichi was surprised at Takeru, "I didn't lie!" What was wrong with him? He had turned into a completely different person. Koichi could understand their reservations, but this was too much.
"Takeru, calm down," Yamato advised. It was even more surprising for Koichi. He thought Yamato would be the aggressive one.
"What do you think, Hikari?" Tailmon asked,
"You said you had a feeling he was lying. Right?"
Koichi flinched wondering, how could he give it away?
"I...um..." She glanced at him. She seemed aggressive than Takeru toward Koichi and more unsure. Maybe she could help him in this situation. "I am..."
A click and the door opened, "Sorry, I am late," Joe's voice cut through thick tension like a knife, pulling all the attention toward him.
"Joe'san!" Mimi exclaimed.
"Mimi!"
Mimi gave Joe a crushing hug, and Koichi took a deep breath.
"I missed you so much!"
"Yeah, me too!"
"Joe' what's happening. It's dark and tight, and I am going toward oblivion, Joe. HELP ME, JOE!"
What on earth was that? Koichi looked toward Joe, shocked.
"Gomamon is in the bag," Joe replied, "He must have fallen asleep."
Mimi let Joe go, "Oh, I am so sorry."
The seal-like digimon's head appeared out of the bag, "So I am not going toward oblivion!" He jumped out, "That was scary!"
"You keep your digimon in a bag?" Koichi asked and immediately regretted it. Now the whole attention was once again toward him.
"Just when we go out, of course," Joe replied, "Is something the matter?"
"How did it go with Shinya?" Koji asked.
Takuya flinched and looked away. He could have sworn he can feel the heat from his friend's gazes. He wanted to avoid this topic. He wasn't going to hide it, though: except for a few things. It was Koichi's job to hide stuff anyway, "He didn't tell mom and dad,"
"Really," Izumi exclaimed, "That's great,"
Takuya wasn't so sure.
"I don't know. I see a 'but' coming," Tomoki commented.
Junpei crossed his arms, "This isn't all. Is it?"
Takuya nodded.
"So, he remembered everything?" Koji asked.
Takuya put his hands in the pockets of his jeans and looked away, "Well,"
"Hey, get up,"
"Just a bit more, Agnimon. Hmm!" Takuya replied and turned to the side. Why can't Agnimon just let him sleep? It's the weekend!
"How long?"
"A few millennia..., maybe..."
"You are kidding!"
"No,"
"Fine! You sleep here, and Shinya will reveal everything out there,"
Takuya snapped the blanket away and sprang off the bed, "We gotta stop him!" He rushed out of the room, downstairs, down the empty hallway, and into the kitchen! "Shinya!"
"Takuya, you are awake!" His mom replied from the dining table. His father was also there along with Shinya.
"Hey!" Shinya called, waving his arm.
"Come, have breakfast," His dad said.
His gaze roamed from one to the other as he took a chair. Everything seemed to be alright.
"You alright?" His mother asked, "I didn't wake you since you had a rough day."
"Umm yeah,"
What was going on? Did Shinya not remember anything?
"You sure?" His dad asked, "It seems you are thinking something,"
"Yeah, right," Shinya replied, "That will be a day!"
Yup, everything seemed perfectly fine. Takuya breathed out a sigh of relief. He never thought he would say this, but he was glad Shinya made fun of him.
"Listen, Takuya," His mom said, "I am really sorry for last night. I shouldn't have done that. I was too panicked. It's not an excuse, but I hope you will forgive me. I should have had more faith in you,"
'Yeah. Like that's ever going to happen,' Takuya thought, "Sure. It's...fine. I understand," What else he could say?
Throughout the breakfast, things were quite normal. They discussed things from yesterday. Shinya got scolded for not listening to Takuya. Okay, that wasn't normal, but it didn't make it any less fun.
"So," Takuya said as soon as his parents left the kitchen, "Yu, er..."
"It's you. Isn't it?" Shinya asked.
Takuya was taken aback by Shinya's tone. It was...dark! No offense to Koichi, "What?"
"They are here because of you!"
Okay, now he was plane accusing him.
"They were coming after you. Not me. Like a magnet."
"Hey, what are you saying? It's..."
"They followed me when you followed me. When your friends followed, more came. They attacked your friends specifically, even the new ones."
Was it true? A chill ran down Takuya's spine. If this was true, they were putting people in danger.
"What are you saying? That green one did attack you," Yeah, maybe Shinya's theory was wrong.
"Until it didn't see you," Shinya replied, "It would have been a coincidence if you hadn't burst into flames and turned in to that thing."
Takuya gasped, "So you..."
"Yeah, I remember. I didn't tell mom and dad because they wouldn't believe me. Who would believe if I told them my brother is...something,"
Anger rushed through Takuya's body. He felt like Shinya just called him an animal, "So what?" He growled, "I saved your life,"
"It seems like you save me, but you almost got me killed in the first place."
Takuya had never seen that look on his face before. It was as if he a criminal.
Takuya took a sip from his can of cola and leaned against the tree trunk. He and his friends have walked to a secluded area while he was reciting events of his morning. Takuya looked toward his friends and received weird glances. Were they sympathetic, "What's up with your faces? Koji pleas don't look at me like that. I feel like I am dying or soemthing if you are giving me that look."
"Takuya," Izumi said in a soft tone, "I am really sorry!"
"You saved his life, and that's how he treats you!" Tomoki exclaimed in an angry tone.
"What a brat," Koji exclaimed, "How could he say that?"
Wow! Maybe this day isn't so bad after all, "Hey, thanks, buddy," Takuya replied.
"Calling you something is an insult to something,"
"At least he didn't call me a..."
"Kanbara, don't go there."
"Puppy!" Tomoki said. He and Takuya broke in a fit of hysterical laughter.
"It's a wolf!"
"Out of every possibility, this is the one I never imagined," Junpei added.
"He wasn't wrong, though," Takuya replied. Receiving questioning looks, he added, "He was right about them attacking us. I asked Agnimon. He didn't know anything about it, but maybe we are the cause of this."
"That's bullshit," Koji replied, "It didn't happen last time. It's probably just a coincidence."
"We don't know what happened last time."
"Exactly!"
"Anyway, you talked to Koichi?" Izumi asked Koji.
"Yeah," Koji replied, "He didn't talk to them last night. They have a meeting today."
"Hmm. Oh, yeah!" Izumi exclaimed and turned to Takuya, "Why didn't you beast digivolved?"
Takuya stopped drinking his cold drink as he remembered that he wasn't able to do it? "I don't know."
"And that's not all," Koji told them and took his digivice. Takuya immediately noticed that something was different about it, but what?
"Its design is old!" Tomoki said out loud.
Takuya gasped and fetched out his detector. The same thing. It had the old design! It was such a huge setback. Two of their evolutions were suddenly out of option, and they can't use beast spirit.
"Wolfmon told me," Koji said.
Koji, seeing the opened door of his parents' room, stopped in his steps. His dad was working on the computer. He had always been wanting
to say some things, okay, many things, and ask some things. He never had any idea of how to do that, though. Just like always, he stood there thinking he should say it, but once again, he couldn't bring himself to it.
His dad spun the chair around, "Koji?" He called, "What are you standing there for?"
"No," Koji replied, "It's just..."
"What is it? It's not like you to hesitate!"
Hoe about why you didn't ever told me I have a brother, or how about why did you say my mom is dead, or how about why didn't you ever met your other son? Why didn't you ever tried to find in what condition he is living? How about what happened between you and mom?
All these questions that have haunted Koji for years, but how could Koji even bring up this issue?
"Koji!" His dad called, snapping Koji out of his thoughts, "You there?"
"Yeah,"
"You want to ask something?"
"It's...it's nothing." Koji said, "We can talk about it some other time. I am tired anyway,"
He went to his room and sat on his bed. Sometimes Koji just wanted to lash out and yell and ask his dad about all this, but then he feared it might break his family apart, and there would be nothing to gain. It will only ruin Kaori's life. Koji loved his sister too much for that. He sighed. 'What should I do?' He wondered.
"You know..."
Hand reaching for the empty glass, Koji stood, spun around but stopped before his hand could throw the glass. He didn't expect to see this. There was Wolfmon, standing in front of him, "What the..."
"You shouldn't keep these things bundled up."
"What are you doing standing there?"
So Wolfmon explained to him about the life energy from Ophanimon and how they appear last time.
"You can ask, Cherubimon, for details," Wolfmon said, "What you should know is that you won't be to use beast spirits."
"What?"
"At least for now."
"But why?"
"Something happened," Wolfmon replied, "After we restored, the beast part ourselves stopped responding. It's like half of your mind and body have decided to fall asleep."
"Did Ophanimon told you what happen?"
"They couldn't understand it either."
Dammit. Beast spirit made up more than half of the total power of an individual. If they are out of reach, then that means the double-spirit is as well, and so is hyper and Sussanoomon.
"And that's not all,"
"What can be worse?"
"Take a look at your detector,"
Koji took his detector out of pocket, "What are you..." He broke off as he realized what Wolfmon means. The old version!
"The life force, in your old detector, was used on Koichi. These are new."
"But that means..."
"Yes!"
Koji clenched his detector hard. It's like getting reset to level one of some stupid game.
"We have some other things to talk about,"
Koji glanced up at Wolfmon and then back at his detector. He couldn't get his head around this new problem. He sighed and put the device back in his pocket, "I can't do it."
"Listen, Koji," Wolfmon said, "Hiding stuff and keep them bundled up is something that darkness does. Not light. I am not saying you walk on an extreme. Far from it, but find a balance and understand what to hide and whatnot. You are doing the opposite."
"I will talk to him when the right time comes," Koji replied.
"And when will that be,"
Koji sat on the bed, "I don't know,"
"Okay, let me get this straight," Joe said, eyes closed and arms crossed, "You guys think he is lying because he says dark type digimon never caused many problems for him and his friends, and it was mostly light type?"
Taichi and Yamato exchanged a look, and then Taichi nodded.
Joe turned to Koichi, "Look, it's hard for me to believe as well..."
Talk about going bad to worse. Koichi sighed and cursed his, stupid, luck.
"...But I don't see why he would lie about something like this,"
Koichi snapped his surprised gaze toward Joe, wondering if he just said what Koichi thought he said?
"Maybe he never had such a problem."
Takeru protested, "But..."
"Look, I never had a confrontation with a dark digimon like yours'. Maybe things were different for these guys,"
"Makes sense even though it doesn't," Gomamon commented.
"Is that line even valid?" Gabumon asked, "It's contradicting itself."
"Was everything else said here valid a few minutes ago?" Tentomon asked.
"They do have a point," Koshiro added, "It makes sense even though it shouldn't. Hmm, fascinating!"
Agumon scratched his head, "This is getting confusing!"
"Why don't you take a break and not think?" Tentomon suggested, "You will hurt your brain."
"Hmm, alright,"
"But.." Takeru broke off when Yamato put a hand on his shoulder.
"Look, I know how you feel," Yamato told him, "But this shouldn't change anything. It doesn't make Koichi a bad guy, or he was a bad guy."
Yeah, about that.
He did right, not telling them anything from his past. Yamato gave him a suspicious look. What was that ab...? Of course! He saw the dark aura around Koichi's hand. He calmed down his brother but hadn't let down his guard.
"Hikari," Tailmon called, "What do you think."
"I want to hear it from you as well," Taichi added.
Koichi looked toward Hikari. She was eyeing him as if trying to read him. He didn't like it. She had already gotten the wind of him lying. She can make things worse.
"What do you feel?"
"I...um...well," She sighed, "I don't think he is lying. I must have imagined it last night. I am sorry."
Did she say that? "It's alright!"
Taichi eyes Hikari for a few moments then turned to Koichi, "Look, I am sorry about that. Joe is right."
Koichi couldn't believe his luck.
"We were rude to you," Sora added.
Koichi smiled, "it's okay!" That turned out well, somehow. Which side of the bed he woke up that morning. 'Maybe I can use this chance to turn their view around and make them more accepting of dark digimons and, maybe, it's just too optimistic.' He thought to himself.
"Is it alright with you, Patamon," Takeru asked.
If it's alright with you, Takeru," Patamon replied.
"Sorry for being so aggressive!" Takeru said, "It's just...Bad memories!"
Maybe they did have a right to hate all dark digimon, "I understand!"
"So, you have never seen a Devimon before?"
"Devimon?"
"Big scary digimons that looks like a typical devil with horns and bat-like wings and black color and has no sense of fashion!" Mimi replied.
By the sound of it, she seemed to be describing Duskmon. "I don't think so," Koichi replied and turned to Patamon, "But I have seen one like you!"
"Really," He zoomed toward Koichi, "What's it like!"
"A good friend," Koichi replied. If there was one digimon, he was grateful to, it was Patamon, "He helped me in my worst time."
"That's amazing!" Patamon exclaimed, "More-more-more!"
Koichi chuckled, "He turned into a Seraphimon. One of three rulers of digiworld."
"HAAA!" Patamon zoomed back to Takeru, "Did you hear that, Takeru! Isn't it amazing?"
Takeru smiled and hugged his partner, "Yes, it is."
"Thank God!" Hikari exclaimed, "I thought, Takeru is going to explode today,"
"What that supposed to mean?"
There was finally laughter in the room. Koichi felt like a heavy lifted off the air.
"I am not a bomb!"
The tension had disappeared until a certain someone opened her mouth, "Three rulers?" Tailmon asked, "Digiworld has five sovereigns,"
"She is right," Palmon added, "Azulongmon is one of them."
Smiles faded, and Koichi wondered what the hell she is saying. 'More importantly, why does my luck keep switching sides,' Koichi wondered, 'and what's her problem with me?'
"Ugh, why is this happening?" Mimi exclaimed, "I don't like this constant feeling of suspicion!"
"Look, I am not lying!" Koichi explained. He had no idea what was happening. How could digiworld possibly have these five sovereigns?
"Give him a break, guys," Sora said/
"What are you thinking, Koshiro'ha?"
Koshiro stopped rubbing his chin, "Koichi, can you tell me anything else about digiworld?" Koichi gave him a confused look, "Like geography..."
"Moon," Koichi replied, "There are three moons,"
"That's stupid," Agumon replied, "There is only one moon,"
"What is it?" Yamato asked Koshiro.
"Well..."
"Hey, Taichi, why is there a light in your pocket?"
Taichi raised an eyebrow, "light?" He fished out a small device from his pocket.
Three buttons and a screen in the center! Koichi narrowed his eyes at the familiar object. Yes, familiar! And not because he thought it might be something like a detector.
"What's up with it?"
"Mine is also acting weird!" Mimi exclaimed.
"It's not just you guys!" Hikari replied. Her and Takeru's devices didn't seem familiar to Koichi at the first glance even though it resembled a detector. Oh, and all their devices' screens were glowing red.
"Hey, Koichi, I think yours is also acting weird?" Takeru told Koichi.
Koichi took his detector out of pocket. Its screen was glowing in blood red with pale red string flowing around. The color horrified Koichi. It was a cruel reminder of his other side. If it hadn't been for others' devices, he would have thought, Duskmon was coming back.
"What's happening to them, Koshiro?" Yamato asked.
The redhead hit some keys and a screen popped on the laptop, "Our digivices are picking up a lot of digital activity!" He clicked on something that looked like a wavy arrow, and a graph appeared on screen, "It's spiking up and..." He gasped,
"Koshiro'ha, you thinking what I am thinking?" Tentomon asked.
Koshiro clicked something on the taskbar and a black window popped open, "Tentomon grab a USB cable/."
"What's going on?" Sora asked.
Koichi would like to know that as well.
Koshiro grabbed the cable from Tentomon, plugged it in his laptop and the other end with digivice, "Just let me check something,"
"You know, I think I have seen this device somewhere else," Koichi said.
"What? Really?" Takeru asked.
"You must have seen one of us holding it yesterday?" Taichi suggested.
"No!" Koichi replied, "That's not it!" He was sure he had seen someone else holding it. Yesterday he didn't have time to think or notice it, but now he was sure he had seen something like this.
"Well, there are a lot of digidestineds out there," Hikari replied, "Maybe you just saw someone random,"
"Maybe," Koichi replied. But then why did he had a feeling it was a big deal.
"As I thought!" Koshiro spoke, snapping all attention toward him.
"What did you thought?" Taichi asked.
"This is coming from digiworld. We can..."
"Hey, it's the lights!" Gomamon announced.
Lights? Koichi followed Gomamon's gaze and couldn't believe what he saw.
"What is..." Joe broke off,
The sky had turned all red with strings of red flowing around. Koichi felt like he is in some Hollywood movie, which shouldn't be crazier than his life.
"Why did the sky turn red?" Mimi asked, "It looked much prettier when it's blue,"
"This is skylight!" Biyomon told them.
"What's a skylight?" Joe asked.
"Lights in the sky," Gomamon replied.
"I know what it means! I am asking, what are they?"
"We don't know," Hikari replied.
"They just appear in the sky like this," Tailmon replied.
"No, they don't, or I would have noticed them before!"
"This is the first time it happened in our world!" Koichi replied. What could this mean? If Koshiro was right and this is a virus, would it mean that virus is spreading in their world, then?
"Koshiro?" Yamato asked.
"Bad news guys," Koshiro said as his finger ran over the keyboard, "This energy is coming from digiworld though many small cracks. Many digimons can come here now,"
"The city will be overrun by them!" Koichi exclaimed. He fetched out his cell phone and texted Koji.
"Can't we go to digiworld now?" Takeru asked.
"There is a constant flow of energy," Koshiro replied, "We can only make weak contact, and even that isn't am sure about,'
"We can't let digimon to run free in the city!" Taichi said.
"Too late!" Koshiro exclaimed as a map appeared on the screen. Koichi noticed three points on the map, "They are already here," Koshiro added.
"We have to stop them from spreading," Yamato replied.
Taichi nodded, "Let's split up. Koshiro, you stay here and keep a look on the map. Inform us if more appear."
"Alright,"
"Koichi, you should stay here," Sora suggested, "You can't digivolve. It will be dangerous."
Koichi had mixed feeling about this. He wanted to avoid this, of course, but e felt like a coward. Besides, he would be only in the way.
"She is right. It will be dangerous for you." Joe added.
Koichi sighed. It's better if he stays, "Alright."
Taichi nodded, "Alright, guys. Let's go?"
Note: Hope you like this chapter. I wanted to explain few more things in it, instead of going directly to the event that is happening at the end but then decided to delay them.
Review and tell me what you like and what you think can be improved.
