Final part: What happened
Years later
On a ship flying above a planet, Raymond sat in the pilots chair drinking from a cup of coffee. The ship he and Carol were staying on was acting as their home as they traveled the galaxy helping people after stopping the kree from going after the skrulls. The ship had a small kitchen area that has plenty of food in the cabinets and fridge. There was a small storage room next to the engine room.
There was a seating area in the middle of the room behind the pilot and co pilot chairs. Next to it were stairs that lead to the bedroom, the bathroom which could be reached from the bedroom and a small storage room across from it. Raymond looked up the steps with a worried look on his face before looking back at the screen.
Carol had been up in their bedroom since they left the planet, "I have to take care of something," she had told him. The reason Raymond looked worried is because for the last few days she hadnt been feeling well and yesterday he woke up to find her throwing up. Luckily the planet has a store that sold medicine and Carol got what she needed but he didn't know what. When he offered to use his power to check on her she refused and told him she would be fine.
When Raymond went to go take another drink he almost spat it out when his wrist device blinked, he put his cup down and opened the message. "Fury," he said getting up from his chair as he noticed the message coming from the pager they left with Fury in case of emergencys.
"Must be bad if hes calling us," he thought running up the stairs and reaching the door to the bedroom, "Carol I just," he said as the door opened only to look surprised at what he saw Carol holding while she was sitting on the bed. From visiting medical stores to get supplies for injured skrulls, Raymond was able to recognize medical equipment.
That's why he knew Carol was holding a pregnancy test that read positive, "What is it?" She asked.
"Oh sorry," he said before holding up his wrist device, "Fury sent out a message, we need to get back home," he said.
"Right," she said before looking down at the test, "Surprise by the way," she said smiling a little before Raymond sat down next to her.
"How long have you known?" He asked holding her hand.
"I had an idea but I wasn't sure till today," she said before resting her head on his shoudler, "I wanted to surprise you later on," she said.
"Well I am surprised," he said smiling before kissing her forehead, "We better find out whats going on," he said as the two of them got off the bed and changed into their suits before heading to the pilot and co pilot seats.
Carol sitting in the pilots seat as they headed back to Earth. When they tracked the signal from the pager they found an area with large buildings and large jets parked outside. Raymond noticed a large A on the roof of one of the buildings. They landed the ship outside the main building before walking in.
When they walked in they heard voices coming from a room, "We did but now its just stopped," he said.
"Send it again," another male voice said.
"But we don't know who's on the other end of this," another male voice spoke up as the two of them reached a hallway where they saw three men and one woman standing in front of large glass case that had the pager in it.
"Fury did and that's good enough, if that's sending out a signal I want to know whos listening," the woman said turning around. Facing Raymond and Carol.
"Wheres Fury?" Carol asked looking worried as the group looked at each other.
"Just what happened while we were gone," Raymond thought.
