Eternal and Nagato had been sitting in her office for a while, with Eternal's violin uttering one of the most haunting tunes one could ever release.

When, Eternal suddenly put the instrument down, and spoke up.

"Say, Nagato, have you ever wondered about how humanity came to exist?"

"Well I dunno."

Eternal continued.

"Listen,"

"Have you ever heard of a ship bearing the name Galactica?"

"No."

On the Twelve Colonies

Galactica, the last of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol.

Galactica, the legendary battlestar.

It was thousands of years past, and as the thoughts of human origin that bore this true account.

Back then, the Twelve Colonies lives in peace, with only the Cylons to bother them. Humanity emigrated from Kobol to this system, living in peace and prosperity for all ages to come.

When the Cylons hopped in.

Humanity fought the Cylons for a thousand years, and now, they seek peace.

No.

Those treacherous Cylons, they waged a campaign of genocide against humanity.

They left no one.

Save for Galactica.

And a few cargo ships and liners.

Nothing else.

For years, we have become outcasts, refugees without even a safe haven to live on.

Living, in constant fear of attack.

Eventually, we, through sheer luck, arrived at the fabled lost home-world.

Kobol.

We decided to abandon our technology altogether, to start a-fresh.

We sent out a Viper at full speed, to whoever might be reading this.

The liners and cargo ships, we sent adrift.

Galactica, we would de-orbit it.

As the huge lumbering warship swiveled itself for its final victory, it sailed straight into the planet's atmosphere.

As it's hull began to burn up, creating a bright shooting star in the sky, one man on the ground sent out his final telepathic messages to the ship.

Farewell, Galactica.

This is Kobol, your final destination.

This is Kobol, you final resting-place.

Look after us.

Watch over us.

Your destiny and ours are linked.

Farewell, Galactica.

The huge, lumbering warship, broke up into multiple chunks.

One of them bore the name, GALACTICA.

The fragment split into a million cubes, which Rematerialized into a lady, which sank below the surface.

Sleeping.

In wait.

Kobol's descendants, through the generations evolved.

It's memory of its origins, slowly descended to mythology, before forgotten altogether.

Two-thousand years later, the matter came to light when the Viper containing the information was recovered by UNSC forces, and the Pegasus's remains shortly after.

This same Kobol became Earth.

This same Earth met the Abyssals.

This same Earth met the UNSC Harvest.

This same Earth met the Fog.

"Ah, here it is."

Eternal pushed her laptop to Nagato.

The document read:

Battlestar Galactica

The Galactica was a Jupiter-class Battlestar in service with the Twelve Colonies of Kobol.

In 6BCE, Galactica was a decommissioned museum ship.

It later became the escort for the "Rag Tag Fleet", a group of cargo ships, liners, and Galactica, on a journey to Kobol following the Fall of the Twelve Colonies.

Several years into the journey, the fleet encountered the Battlestar Pegasus, which was destroyed shortly after.

In 1CE, the surviving ships made it to Kobol, and the decision was made to abandon their technology, with the liners set adrift, and Galactica scuttled by de-orbiting.

In mid-2553, UNSC forces detected a Viper containing data about the journey, and the wreckage of the Pegasus, which contained plans of all Colonial ships.

"Where's Harvest, though?"

Nagato nodded.

"Gone for a little walk. A patrol's coming in soon."

Eternal never had the time to reply when Harvest barged into the office, her face dazzled with amazement.

"The patrol, Nagato!"

Eternal whirled around.

"Had they got a UFO while fishing in the Bermuda Triangle? Or found the MH370, I suppose?"

"They found a ship-girl in the South Pacific today, and she goes by the name of 'Galactica'."

"Where is she?"

"In the med bay."

"How do you know?"

"I've just come from the pier,"

Harvest said.

"I'm the first on land to know."

A/N:

This chapter took days to write, so enjoy.

The Colonies were the ancestors of humanity.

At least on this planet.
