"Why are you always showing up to my house so early?" she asked walking over to her front door and opening it. She had just been rudely awoken by a loud knock of whom she knew was Ryan.

"Andy come on it's not even morning time it's like early afternoon" he said walking into the house and handing her an iced coffee of which he picked up on his way over.

"I know but afternoon naps are the best and you just interrupted that but I won't get mad since you got me this iced delicious goodness" she said locking the door and grabbing the coffee.

Ryan went over to the couch and turned on the sports channel and Andy walked into her room to grab her phone and she then joined him on the couch placing the throw blanket over her.

"We haven't been talking that much and I know you've been busy with work and your lover man but still tell me how it went with Pruitt" he said taking a sip on his warm coffee.

Andy looked over to him and laughed a little at his statement before taking a sip of her drink and answering him.

"Well he is Pruitt and I'm his only daughter and child so he was a little hesitant but he accepted him on one accord and that was for him to basically take good care of me" she answered honestly looking away from him focused on the window.

"It was that easy wow is he feeling ok? I mean Pruitt is a fighter, he doesn't take things easy, remember when you were younger?" he asked smiling suddenly, remembering all of their childhood memories.

"I think it has to do with him stepping down from the department he seems to be going quite easy but still with a little seriousness here and there and as for our childhood teenage years we were young so he still had authority over me but now I'm an adult" she responded still sipping on her coffee.

"I'm glad he approved I do think Sullivan is a great guy and he seems genuine about his intentions with you." he responded running his hand through his hair.

"Thank you but uhhh Ryan I know you have a question for me or at least something is bothering you so you know you can say it" she said noticing his movements and sudden face changes.

"It's nothing bad I was just wondering if you would move in with Sullivan whenever he ask or the time comes." he stated slowly regretting his choice of words.

Andy suddenly paused thinking that now that he was living in her state it could eventually happen and even though she liked the idea she never knew exactly how she would feel when he would come to terms in actually asking her.

"Honestly it depends I definitely don't think now is the best seeing that we're still new into this relationship but a little longer in than ya sure I'll say yes" she said smiling at him.

They sat on the couch laughing and taking a little while longer until Andy had noticed an incoming text appear on her phone to which she immediately opened.

R: "Hi Andy um later I'm having a small dinner with a close friend of mine and I was asking if you could over he's not staying long" he texted

A:"Sure just text me everything" she responded

"Ryan you know I love you very much but I promised Maya I would walk with her and Vic to discuss something and now I have to make it to a dinner with Robert" Andy said getting up from the couch and placing the blanket back on the couch.

"I was just excusing myself out anyway but I'll check in with you later sometime have fun" he said turning off the TV and throwing away his cup and walking towards the door.

They said their goodbyes and gave each other a quick hug before Andy closed the door. She then quickly walked into her room and changed into a pair of leggings and a loose fitted t-shirt. She then filled her water bottle up with ice and water and grabbed her phone and keys and drove over to the park.

"Ok I'm here now" she said getting out of the car and approaching the two other women who was awaiting for her arrival.

"You look really happy today" Vic stated looking towards Andy.

"I'm normal, Vic just has somewhere to be in a couple of hours" she responded, giving her a smile. She didn't feel like explaining everything just yet she wanted to do it later on after the dinner.

"So how did it go with you know your boyfriend and dad? I mean that must've been a tuff conversation" Maya stated as she walked alongside the trail with the other two.

"It went well enough no shouting but he did give a couple of longing stares which was a bit intimidating but it was overall ok" she responded honestly.

"That's amazing Andy at least that's one thing you don't have to worry about" Maya responded quickly happy to see that her friend was happy.

Maya then winked at the other two before she put on her headphones and turned on her music before starting her run. Andy and Vic then turned to look at each other and started laughing.

"I'm definitely not running" Andy stated watching Maya run around the park. "Neither am I,especially not when we have shift at 8AM tomorrow and the Chief is also supposedly coming in I need all of my energy"

"Uhh two more weeks until our new Captain is called in and don't get me wrong I love my dad but-" Andy stated before getting cut off. "But he is a pain in the ass" Vic commented finishing her statement.

"Yes that's exactly why and there is just too many added rules. I want us to be a little more comfortable because I feel like everyone is always so stressed when he comes in" she said taking a drink out of her water bottle. "I agree" Vic exclaimed quite loudly than expected which caused both her and Andy to fall in a fit of laughter.

They both walked around for a little longer and they then sat on a park bench watching Maya run her usual laps talking about plans they could make to spend more time with each other on their days off.

"Workout complete" Maya said panting and dripping in sweat from her head down. She quickly chugged down her two water bottles that were iced cold before taking a seat.

"That was so amazing I feel energized now" she said smiling in excitement. When it came to any workout routine Maya was quick to indulge in it and she loved a good challenge every now and then.

"I'm glad you enjoyed your workout and I'm glad we get to do this once every week but according to the time on my phone I would assume that I have to leave now to go and get ready" Andy stated getting up and giving her quick sweaty goodbye hugs.

They all hugged each other and made their way to their cars before they all left the parking lot to their own destinations.

Andy quickly came in and immediately went and took a shower and washed her hair. She then blow dried it and curled it and applied light makeup to her face. She then took out the loosely fitted wine colored pants and paired it with a long sleeve white top and placed it on.

She then added her ring and necklace with her hoop earrings as her added accessories and put on her black heels and placed her black crossbody purse over her. She sprayed a little hairspray on her hair and she also sprayed some perfume on before she made it back out to her car.

She quickly pulled up the address to what she assumed was Roberts place and she quickly became excited to know that she would be seeing his house and where he lived.

Robert had stayed home catching up on emails from the department and working to get into a station of which he would Captain. He was more than trained and ready to take on the job and so he put in the offer needed and was only now waiting on a station to approve him.

He made a bowl of mashed potatoes and he grilled up some steaks and vegetables and placed them all to keep warm in the oven. He decided to go the extra mile and set up his new dining table to give it a better look.

After he was satisfied with the look he quickly made his way up the stairs and took a shower and then dressed himself in a pair of jeans and a black button down shirt. After he was all the way dressed he heard the doorbell ring and he immediately knew who it was.

"Lucas welcome" he said, giving him a quick side hug before welcoming him inside and locking the door.

"Man oh man Rob you definitely have quite the taste this house is very nice and modern just like you" he said looking around the entryway.

"Lucas you've already been here enough with all that" he said laughing walking back into the living room.

"So you're really doing it" Ripley stated looking towards him.

Robert knew what his answer would be but he decided to stay quiet for a little to put Lucas on edge only because he knows that he already is.

"Yes I am Chief Ripley" he stated smiling at the name he referred to him as.

"Man when you say it like that you make it seem like I'm your boss or some mean man" he responded in a slightly rough tone rolling his eyes to complete the dramatic look.

"Technically if I get in you do become my boss so there that" he stated quickly in defense.

The room quickly became silent at that last thought and they both couldn't help but think about all of the possible outcomes that could occur. Robert suddenly got an unsteady feeling about the quietness so he decided to cut the tension.

"Uh Andy should be coming soon and I know you have to go do your top secret business so I'll pack you a plate to go" he stated getting up and walking into the kitchen noticing that he was following behind him.

Robert then pulled out the clear Tupperware he had at the top shelf and began playing his share of food. The doorbell then rang which pulled Robert out of his train of thoughts.

"I'll get it and then I'll come back and finish this" he stated before going to the door.

"Hi babe" Andy said in a perky tone, clearly happy to see the man that stood tall in front of her.

"Hello you look gorgeous just like always" he said inviting her inside and leaning down to give her a kiss.

"Your dinner smells amazing and your house it's beautiful. You really did all of this by yourself?" she asked looking around surprised.

"Yes I did I mean I got a little inspiration from some people but after dinner you can get a tour right now I think dinner is waiting" he said taking her hand and guiding her to the kitchen.

Robert noticed that Andy face had quickly changed but he soon remembered that her Chief was sitting right there in front of her.

"Hi Chief," she said, lending her hand out for him to shake in which he gladly responded. "Hi Herrera, nice to see you and uh don't worry about me I'll be out in a minute" he said slightly nervous now thinking he was invading their space.

Robert finished playing the flood and handed it off to Luca sin which they gave their goodbyes and he quickly left.

"I'll bring you a plate you can just sit at the table" he said to Andy in which she complied.

He brought out two glasses of water and then a plate of the food he made and placed them on top of the table before going back to the kitchen to wash his hands and then taking his seat.

"This all looks and smells amazing. Thank you for dinner" she said smiling up at him and holding his hand that was placed on the table.

They then began eating their meals in a comfortable silence slowly adding in conversation every now and again. Robert of course finished first like usually so he sat smiling watching Andy finish her last couple of bites.

"So Ripley is your friend?" she asked, taking the last drink of her chilled water. "Yes we've been friends for quite some time now he's basically my brother" he responded.

"My dad is stepping down in two weeks and I don't know who's replacing him do you think you might know I mean it's not like a big deal if you don't" she asked hesitantly afraid she might've sighed herself a deep hole of which she would be trapped in.

Robert cleared his throat and took a sip of his water. He quickly thought about everything he was doing from the previous week and he decided it should still be a secret from Andy even though he hated doing them. "Nope I don't know anything we don't really talk about firefighters or anything to do with fires really only like the big calls but I have noticed he has been attending a lot of meeting lately so I would think that there's something good happening." he said honestly hoping it would satisfy her dying requests.

Robert then began to clear the dishes in which Andy helped with washing. Robert then packed her a plate for her lunch tomorrow and put the rest away.

"Robert your cooking made me so full I'm tired now" she said laying against his couch which was very soft. "Then just stay here with me tonight" he said in a deeper tone in which Andy quickly knew what he was inferring.

"Nope I don't have any clothes here and besides I have work in the morning so I'll be going to my house" she said snuggling closer into him.

"Can you do me a favor?" he asked suddenly. "Sure" she replied. "How about you being in some of your clothes just maybe like an overnight bag with your necessities and leave it in one of my empty drawers" he asked feeling a little more brave than what he usually was.

"Is that your way of asking me to move in?" she asked slightly intrigued by the conversation. "No not yet just something for you to have access to your stuff while still staying with me" he responded genuinely. Andy smiled at his reasoning and nodded her head in response signaling a strong "yes".

They decided to watch a movie in which Andy was quick to get up after when it was done. She was extremely tired but she wanted to hang a little longer for Robert so she did.

"I know your tired baby so I'll let you go home now" he said walking her towards the door. He was nervous about her driving in the night while she was already tired but her house wasn't too far from his so he don't worry that much.

"I'll stop by tomorrow whenever I'm done and if your home. Goodnight Robert" she said hugging him closely breathing in his scent one last time for the night.

"Goodnight Andy I love you drive safe and text me when you reach" he said smiling down at her before bringing his lips to hers and sealing it with a passionate kiss.

"I love you too" she said before walking out the door and towards her car. Robert watched as she drives out of his driveway and he then locked the door and made his way up the stairs towards his room.

He quickly changed into a t-shirt and laid into his bed waiting for the text. After about 30 minutes he received it and he quickly responded and turned on his alarm and placed it on his nightstand before falling asleep.
