Sins of Blairwood-12
~Short Cut~
The sun was shining brightly in the sky as Erma, Amy, and Senshi were making their way to the bus but had a bit of a late start.
"Oh no, we're late for the bus." Amy said. "No matter what we do now, we'll never make it in time."
"Oh man Emiko's gonna kill us." Senshi groaned.
"But there's gotta be something we can do." Amy exclaimed.
"I know." Senshi said, before whistling for Oslo.
Normally the dog with the portal for a mouth would come, but nothing was happening.
"Darn it. Oslo must be sick. It's the only explanation as to why he's not coming right now." Senshi exclaimed.
Then Erma had an idea and grabbed them both by the wrist, and dragged them off, to a spooky looking bus stop. Pulling out a pocket watch, Erma saw that they were right on time for what she thought could help them.
"Uh Erma, don't you think we should be heading to school?" Amy asked before the lights of a large vehicle caught their attention.
Coming in from the fog and shadows, came what looked like a bus that was made of a living dragon. When the bus stopped in front of them, the doors opened up, and revealed the driver, looking suspiciously like the Grim Reaper in a bus driver's uniform.
"Getting on?" The bus driver asked.
Erma reached into her bag, and pulled out three bus tokens that looked suspiciously like gold drachma from ancient Greece.
As Erma handed the tokens to the bus driver, Senshi and Amy got on and were amazed by all the different monsters they saw on the bus.
"Whoa." Senshi said.
Erma grabbed Amy and Senshi by the wrists again and took them to where she spotted some seats for them to sit on, just as the bus began to leave.
At the school, the teacher was already starting to take attendance.
"George?"
"Here."
"Julia?"
"Here."
"Amy? Amy?" The teacher asked, not getting a response.
"Erma and Senshi aren't here either ma'am." Terry said.
"Well, looks like I'll have to call absent." The teacher said, about to check them off as not there, before a bright light shined outside the windows and a stairwell came in through the open window as three silhouettes came marching down the steps, before one word was called out.
"Here." Senshi and Amy called out as Amy held up Erma's hand.
~Spirit Chasers~
"Hello, my name is Mike Shelby, and welcome to another episode of, Spirit Chasers." A bald man with a goatee said, before the cover of his show came on the screen. "Today, my team and I are going to investigate what might possibly be the most documented and witnessed apparitions ever. The Blairwood Ghost Family."
The scene changed from Mike and his crew, to the outskirts of Blairwood with the welcome sign visible in the shot.
"Moving furniture, levitations, strange noises, and actual physical contact. After they moved in a few years ago, the streets of Blairwood have been home to a very strange family of 3 with one child in their legal custody. Only one of them, is alive. We asked some of the lovely town's people of the strange happenings in the area, let's see what they had to say."
Interviewed one: "Yeah, I've seen them around. They're usually sitting around the pancake house on weekends. Then again, with that Saturday Breakfast Special, everyone does. Man I'm hungry."
Interviewed two: "I won't lie. They can be a bit weird. Actually they can be pretty weird. Oh who am I kidding, they're just odd."
Interviewed three: "Me, Erma, and Senshi go to school together, and we couldn't be better friends. Look, Erma drew me a picture, and one time Senshi bought me a replacement ice cream when I tripped and dropped mine."
"We are now at the home of the infamous Ghost Family. We are going to interview the current resident of the house, who is said to be the surviving member of the Ghost Family." Mike said, before going up to the door and knocking on it, with Sam answering. "Hello sir. I'm Mr. Shelby. Could you please explain some of the rumors surrounding this house?" Sam just closed the door on him without saying a word.
Inside the house Emiko, Senshi, and Erma were sitting on the couch watching a movie, and had it paused for when Sam got up.
"Who was it honey?" Emiko asked.
"Tourists." Sam said, sitting back down in his recliner.
Senshi looked to Sam, then floated off the couch and out the back door, spotting Mike and his crew trying to sneak around to get a peek inside the house.
"Obviously folks, the poor sap is being mind-controlled by the specters and is not able to answer any of our questions. It is our job to free this man of his torment, and bring an end to the ghostly grip on his soul." Mike said, not noticing how Senshi was floating down behind him, like he was laying on his stomach, watching them with interest.
"Uh… Mike. Look behind you." One of the crewmen said.
Mike turned around, but Senshi just stayed in his blind spot. Having seen this show before Senshi knew which channel it was on, and using his telekinetic abilities, took the remote from Emiko, paused the movie, and switched the television to the channel, where they saw Senshi messing with the Ghost Hunter guy.
"Dave there's nothing behind me what are you talking about?" Mike questioned.
"He's staying in your blind spot. Just try to turn around enough to catch him off guard." Dave said.
"Seriously, this is no time to be playing games the poor sap inside is being controlled by ghosts." Mike said.
"No he's not." Senshi said.
Mike turned around, but saw no one there, when he looked to Dave, all the crewman did was point upward. Looking up he saw Senshi floating upside down with a smile on his face.
"He's not being controlled by ghosts." Senshi said. "So I'd recommend you get off the property, before you regret it."
"Oh yeah, and how is a ghost like you gonna make us leave?" Mike questioned, no longer getting scared.
"Oh I'm so glad you asked." Senshi smiled, before he let out a loud whistle with his pinkies in his mouth, like he was calling for a horse. "An' FYI, I'm not a ghost, I'm a fairy. I just haven't gotten my wings yet."
Mike and the crew looked confused until something came running from around the corner of the house, and they all freaked when Saphira went chasing after them. With the Drake hot on their tail, the Spirit Chasers rushed into their van and drove off with Mike still running after it, as Saphira was just sitting in the front yard, scratching behind her ear like a dog, before yawning and lying on the ground.
"Aw, they didn't wanna play with you. That's too bad." Senshi said, petting Saphira along her spines.
