Hello people. I just wanted to say that I am so sorry for the delay of this chapter. For some reason it was really hard for me to write. Another reason is that I have been busy with my other fic, Here we go Again, a Harry Potter, PJO, crossover. Please go read if you are interested. So I just wanted to let you know that Percy will be getting a little more dark next chapter as we see the beginning of a new war. I am also sad to announce that this story is about 5 ish chapters from being done. School is getting harder and my vision was for a more short story. I am going to try and give this a satisfying ending. On a lighter note, may God be with you and I hope you enjoy this chapter and please review!

Chapter 12
Percy POV
I was being dragged through the Atlantean castle, a place I had once thought safe. I was angry to put it lightly. I had restraints on that blocked all godly power except being able to breathe underwater. I looked at my half brother, disbelief obvious in my eyes.
"Why are you doing this?'
He didn't answer. I was brought into a room I did not recognize, The room was small and round. There was a round table in the middle surrounded by 8 chairs. He sat down in one and gestured to another one across from him. He did not lower my restraint, not like I was expecting him to.
"Why," I pressed, wanting to know why I was betrayed by my family.
"If you're wondering it is not because you went against Zeus. In fact, if that was all that happened then I would have been fine with it, I would have joined you and dad. But you went on and became a god. Again, would have been fine with that too, but they took it too far by making you and Olympian. Do you know how hard I have worked to get a seat on that council? Do you know who much time I put in to impress dad? The amount of work I did?"
I stared at my brother with new eyes. He betrayed me because he felt like I betrayed him.
"Look Triton I-"
"I DON'T GIVE A CRAP WHAT YOU DID," he roared. I almost shrank back in fear but was somehow able to overcome it. Trion tuned away as the water in the room began to swirl unnaturally fast.
"I didn't want to become a god T," I said, my voice small. Soon the currents in the room started to die down.
"What did you say?"
"I didn't want to become a god," my voice cleared. "I didn't want the power, title, none of it. I didn't want it and I still don't. Only by accepting it was I able to survive."
"What do you mean?"
I sighed before answering. "Some of the powers that I got were not optional, they would have come to me anyways as they didn't have anyone to take control. Seeing as I am the one to defeat their masters, the powers would have come to me anyway. By accepting it, my body didn't reject it, which would have ended up killing me."
When he finished the room was quiet, the water more still than was natural.
"I still have to turn you in or else he will send me to you-know-where."
I stared at my half brother. Could he be so stupid?
"Triton, do you realize who is in control down there?"
"Um, Tartarus," he guessed.
I shook my head, my brother really was kept in the dark. I had to give it to Zeus, he played it really smart. He kept the one person who could control one of the most powerful places in the dark, effectively taking control.
"Do you know what I was made a god of?"
"No, all I know is that you were fighting a war because dad was worried sick. He wouldn't come out of his room for a few days because of the war. I think he was trying to figure a way around big guys' order not to help, directly OR indirectly. Anyway, dad started to relax a little and I asked him what happened. He said that you guys won the war and you were now an Olympian."
I was steaming, literally. The water around me was heating up as my face contorted in rage.
"Zeus did WHAT during the war?!"
"He said no Olympians were allowed to help. He said something about ancient laws or some crap."
"BULL SHIT!"
"Hey, Perce, please calm down. I won't turn you in, you can go, in fact I might even join you."
At these words I started to calm down. Gaining full control of the sea was going to be huge. Another territory we could control, more power. I looked at Triton, dead in the eye.
"Swear on the Styx that you will not betray the cause."
I looked at my brother waiting for his answer, it surprisingly came almost instantaneously.
"I Triton, swear on the Styx, that I will never betray Perseus Jackson. Nor will I aid any cause that opposes him."
I was satisfied with this and I turned to head out of the door. I had one last person to visit.
"Let's go find mom."
Third Person POV
The two boys swam down the hallways, fighting off the guards. They encountered people at every turn but could not get caught, their lives depended on it. They knew Zeus knew of Triton's betrayal and had ordered for him as well as mercy to be brought to Olympus for questioning and fading. The two swam with weapons out while making their way across the castle.
When they finally reached the door they were looking for, they hurried inside as Percy barricaded the door with stygian iron, no one was getting in or out. They turned around to see the occupant looking at them with wide eyes. She was dressed in Atlantian battle armor. A sword in her hands. The normally calm and endearing face filled with grief, fear and concern.
"Mother," Triton said, bowing to Amphitrite.
"Step - mother," Percy said, also bowing.
"Rise you two, no time for formalities. Please explain and I will decide whether I join your cause or hand you over to Zues," Amphitrite said, her voice stern yet still loving.
"Mother ple-,"
"Triton," she interrupted. "I know you do not just disobey authority for no reason, and I suspect that you have a very good reason."
"Well-"
"Triton, may I," Percy asked, wanting to be the one to explain.
Percy went on to explain everything that happened, all of the wars he went through, all of the powers he gained, the struggles and lastly what his cause was doing about it. It took a little over an hour to explain it all, but it only felt like a few minutes, while it was only a few seconds to the world outside of the door. When he had finished, he was dripping with sweat, being far from his power source. He didn't practice with his powers over time often, so he was thoroughly tired.
Amphitrite nodded her head as she understood the cause and reasons behind it. She had heard her husband mumbling something about change a few times before he was put into the pit.
"Mom," Triton pleaded, after realizing why Percy was so tired. "As much as I hate to put you in the position, we need your answer quickly. Percy is slowing down time and it is very taxing on him. We need to get out of here before he loses too much power and is unable to flash us to the safe house.
"I am willing to join you."
"Great, ok no time for formalities because we need to get out of here," Percy said. He extended his arm to the two people and grabbed a hold. He flashed them away to the Pit.
When he got there he took a quick walk around, avoiding people, to regain his energy. When he finally felt fresh from being in his home turf, he flashed out once again, going to Olympus.
Third Person POV (Olympus)
"Master," a young demigod said.
"Yes, Maddox?"
"The sea is no longer in our control."
The figure on the throne radiated anger. They had lost the sea entirely. This would be a huge set back. Triton was one of their biggest assets as the heir to Poseidon. Zeus had faith that his nephew would stay with his cause but somehow he had changed sides. It couldn't have been one of the other Olympians, they were all locked up in the Pit. Percy was nowhere to be seen, in fact they hadn't seen the guy in about 450 years. They had sent out search parties but they had come back empty handed.
Every time this happened, Zeus got extremely angry. How did this semi-intelligent newbie thwart the finest searchers Olympus had to offer? Perseus Jackson had been a thorn in the side of Olympus from the day he turned 12.
"Please get out son, unless you wish to die."
Maddox ran out of the room as the anger filled the room. When he closed the door to the throne room, he heard a scream of age and a loud bang. Maddox walked away, going to his father's house.
Maddox was the son of Zeus, a demigod spy. He relayed information faster than anyone else, kept tabs on all of the other demigods and reported all information back to Olympus. Maddox did not enjoy his life as a son of Zeus. He had thought about leaving the gods and joining Percy Jackson's cause but he wasn't able to unless he wanted to die or curse the other side. He had sworn a vow never to betray his father whenever he had claimed him. Maddox had been in a state of euphoria and as a result was easily manipulated by his father.
The demigod population was at an all time high but they kept disappearing. About 10 to 15 new campers would show up every week, but said campers would disappear within a week of their arrival. This irritated Chiron to no end. As of late the kidnappings were more and more frequent, new campers only at camp for a day or so.
Maddox's job was to find out where these campers were going but he was failing miserably. He could not find out who was taking the new demigods, but he had suspicions. At first he thought that Percy Jackson himself was the one taking the kids but that theory was quickly shot down. Percy Jackson had been inactive for the past 450 years.
They had however been able to save a few campers, rescuing them from camp, offering them housing on Olympus. Anyone who wanted to survive took this offer though a surprisingly large amount declined. Maddox was one of the campers who had been offered shelter on Olympus, along with his two best friends.
As Maddox was lost in thought about his mission, he ran into three kids running across the streets of Olympus. He stopped to confront the kids but they had disappeared. The only thing left behind was a sense of foreboding and a darkened area at where the kids had been.
Maddox realized that the kids had just been abducted, taken, right under the noses of the gods. As he realized this, Maddox started to run to Athena's temple, wanting to ask her why this dark feeling was able to stay on Olympus.
Maddox knocked on the door as he was let in with a soft "come in."
Maddox entered the building and was once again taken back by its beauty. The marble floors were covered in neatly organized tables, covered in maps and pawns. There were a total of 10 tables all surrounding the largest one in the middle.
Athena was sitting at a large marble desk, book in one hand and a pen in the other. The desk was covered in papers, books and maps galore. She put down her book as she looked at her visitor.
"Hello Maddox," Athena said, all attention now on Maddox .
"Hello, Miss. I have an inquiry for you."
"Yes? Please, do tell."
"I was walking towards my house when I ran into other people. I could tell by their power signatures that one was a minor and the other was a demigod, daughter of Demeter."
Athena nodded her head, proud of her kinda brother. She had taught him how to identify the power signatures of others to help him in his quest to find the missing demigods.
"They ran past me. I turned away, thinking about how poorly they were acting when I turned to look back at them. They were completely gone. The only trace left was a dark energy signature that matched neither of the two beings."
Athena shook her head in confusion.
"Take me to the place," she commanded.
Maddox nodded his head and started out of the building. They walked the way back to the spot on the sidewalk where the incident had occurred. Maddox ran up to the spot where the slowly fading energy signature still was. It was weak but Athena identified it immediately.
"Shit," she mumbled. If he had been any more careless, the whole operation could have gone to the hole. She shook herself out of her thoughts as she turned to Maddox.
"The energy signature is too weak for me to identify. All I know is that it is a darker signature than most, though there is some light in it," she lied. She smirked on the inside, realizing how well she had fooled every single person on Olympus. She had been undercover for the rebellion, giving them information for about 450 years. She was now waiting for a clue, a sign, the Persues was ready to declare open war, a feat they were not ready for when he had first revealed the rebellion.
Athena almost smiled when she thought about plan 77 Valdez. It was one of her more intelligent plans, with just enough pazazz to not be recognized as an Athena plan. The whole point of 77 Valdez was to plant seeds of fear, speculation, and distrust in the remaining Olympians. The other part of the plan was to have the Olympians that had joined their cause be sent down to the Pit so that they could plan in peace, not having to worry about looking suspicious. They would plan for however long until the defenses of Olympus were down, low enough for an infiltration.
A small cough from Maddox brought her out of her musings. She looked at the young boy with a small amount of interest in her eyes. She nodded her head in dismissal and flashed back t her palace to make a call.
"Iris," Athena said, as a small rainbow appeared in the middle of the room.
"My Athena," she said bowing slightly.
Athena smiled at the sight of one of the most useful allies the rebellion was able to make. Thanks to Iris, they were able to safely communicate over IM's without fear of being spied on. They also had access to all information passed along via Iris Message and were able to listen into any conversation, without the victims any the wiser.
"I need you to deliver a message for me, please," Athena said, her stern voice laced with excitement.
"Yes, what is the message you would like me to deliver?"
"Tell my uncle, the Prince has returned."
Poseidon POV
The King of the Seas was sitting in a room in the Tartarus Palace. He had just finished cleaning up from the burst of energy that had destroyed the training room. He was looking over a crowd of about 1,000. It was only a small portion of the people that they had on staff but it was still a huge number.
The palace had been insanely busy as it had just filled up with more and more demigods. It seemed that the free gods were breeding, trying to create an army. The very thought disgusted Poseidon, no one should ever be made for just war.
They had been receiving demigods from all over, some Greek others Roman. They learned how to get along and were trained by the very best. The demigods had been separated into different fields, as some liked to fight as others did not. When you join the rebellion you have three options, remain neutral or go back. They cared if they had people betray them but let them go over without retribution to show that this rebellion was different. \
The second choice they had was to join the army. About ½ of the people took this route. They would train under the best. Most would go into group combat, while a special few would be trained for solo purposes. They were taught who to use different kinds of weapons, being able to use all but specialize in a few. Poseidon liked to watch these mass lessons and helped teach a few of them every now and then.
The third option was to work behind the scenes. Learn how to create armor, clean the weapons, clothes, and other things. Cook for the rest of the camp or build battle strategies. This is also where they trained all of the doctors for on and off the field.
Poseidon was busy admiring the army in front of him when his thoughts were interrupted by a flash of light. Some of the demigod's heads turned towards the light but most ignored it, gods flashing in and out was a normal event.
Poseidon turned his attention towards the god or goddess that had just appeared in front of him.
"Iris," he said respectively.
"Hello, I have a message for you from Athena." At these words the dining hall fell deathly quiet. All of them knew that knews from Athena was either really good or bad, almost no in between. Poseidon nodded, giving permission for Irs to tell the army.
"The Prince has returned."
"Some of the newer recruits looked on with a confused expression as looks of understanding crossed the older demigods faces. Then all at once the cheering began. Food was thrown up into the air in celebration. The fabled Percy Jackson was coming home. Almost all of them had learned about and studied him, waiting for his return.
Iris looked at the sight in front of her, as a large smile crossed her face. She nodded to the Sea King and left. Then the doors opened and the room fell silent. All heads swiveled to the now open doors. In the frame stood three figures, one taller than the rest. As they came into light, Poseidon ran down from his place at the head table. He ran into the three figures embracing them in a large group hug. Then he picked up the only female in the trio and picked her up, embarrassing her in a kiss. When he set her down he turned to his stunted audience.
"Demigods," he said, his voice carrying through the silence. "This is my wife, Amphitrite. These are my sons, Triton and Percy Jackson."
At the mention of Percy, the hall erupted into another round of cheers. The hero was home and the war was about to begin.
Thank you to PJOHOOTAA fan and Imagine Coldplay. Both of these people have been receiving frequently and are apart of the reason that I have made the chapters longer, added certain POV's and have kept pursuing this story! Thank you guys for that!
Oh as a side note, I am going to be updating my profile page to add my opinion on some of my favorite things (books, movies, characters, and Fanfictions). So if you want to go check that out. Thank You!
