Shadow Steve woke up to see a multi-colored steve, and a blue-gray steve. He blinked a few times, and quickly pulled himself upward, backing away from them.
"W-Who are you?!" He asked, standing up straight, trying to be fierce. The multi-colored steve rolled his eyes.
"I'm Reverse Steve. I rescued both you, Storm Steve, Storm Alex, and Sky Steve. Now, come with me mystery Steve, and I'll get you somewhere safe." He said, and turned away, heading into the trees. Shadow Steve thought for a moment, while the others followed, and bolted in the opposite direction.
"I can't be near so many other steves…. I'm not used to this yet…" Shadow Steve murmured to himself. He stopped and listened, as he heard the steves and alex calling his name. "I don't want to go with them…. But they seem nice. They rescued me…"
"Then come with me. We can keep each other safe. My name's Plague Steve. What's yours?" A voice came, and a green and teal steve dropped down, smiling sympathetically.
"Shadow Steve… would you let me come with you?" Shadow steve replied. Plague Steve nodded, and motioned for him to follow. Then, the two of them ran through the trees and disappeared.
Reverse Steve watched, and turned back to the others. He shook his head, and walked away from where they disappeared. "Follow me…" He said, and led them back to the base.
