10. Final Update

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a good week. Especially after the bombs that they've dropped on us in the Hilda canon!

Spoilers Ahead! Please Watch Season 2 Before Reading

Witches, Pirates, Time Travel, oh my! It's crazy just how many things that they fit in the season. And of course, we have to talk about the adaption of the Stone Forest. THAT I was not expecting, nor was I expecting it to be forty minutes long. This doesn't change too much of the trajectory in the parts to come, but there are a few things to take note of. The next part, which for now I'm dubbing Hilda and the Rogues will take place after Hilda and the Deerfox (AKA episode nine) and before Hilda and the Yule Lads. Which, by the way, those two episodes and the Fifty-Year Night. are the best trinity of episodes I've seen in a while. They are the equivalent of the episodes Tide Mice, the Storm, and the House in the Woods. Which were the best episodes for me on the previous season, no question.

The second thing is to know that Witches are NOT Mages. This will have an in-universe explanation (I planned for this a while ago). The quick version is that Witches are humans using magic, and Mages are a race in and of themselves that use magic in significantly different ways than Witches do.

And finally, the next part will be put into a new story soon, most likely in January.
