Author's note

I am sorry for not writing soon enough. I was busy with my exams so I can't help it. But here is the next chapter of it.-Isla G.

I was so mad at him. A small part of me was scared cause he knew a lot of things personal to me. But I knew that Jace wouldn't tell anyone. But I was boiling with rage. How could that bastard cheat on me. I had an urge to cry. But I took control of it.

In the middle of my thoughts the phone rang. It was Jace. I declined the call. He called me again. I again declined it. This happened 4-5 times. I blocked his number.

He emailed me to meet him in the coffee shop. That man had the nerve to call me to the place where he had kissed that snobby little bitch and now wanted to talk to me.

Ughhhhh he is sooo infuriating.

I ignored him the whole day. He even came home but mom and dad said that I was tired today and was lying in my bedroom.

I even had to cancel my plans for today with my mom and dad.

Anyway I tried to distract myself. Because of this I even forgot that it was my birthday day after tomorrow.

I called up Iz. She said she was going out with her family and promised to call me later. I knew Simon had a gig tonight so I thought it was best to leave him focused. Alec was gonna be there with him so he'll be busy too.

I started watching a movie. Suddenly I noticed a thud on my window.

'An Intruder?!'

Ohh my god! I fetched my bat. The figure was climbing up. Without having any second thoughts about it I launched myself at him and hit him hard on his head.

Jace-"Owwwww...what was that for? Are you out of your mind?"

Clary-"Ohh its you. You scared me."

Jace-" First tell me why aren't you answering my calls?"

Ohh like you dont know why I am ignoring you. I chose to answer that with a question.

Clary-"You tell me?"

Jace-"If I had known I wouldn't have come here and had a bat on my head now would I?"

Clary-"I was just tired."

Jace-"So you could have just told me...But blocking my number?"

Clary-"Fine then...Jace I am tired. Could you leave me alone?"

Jace-"Not unless you actually tell me whats going on."

Clary-"Jace I really am not in the mood to talk to anyone. Can you please just go?"

Jace-"But Clary-"

Jocelyn-"Clary you asleep or not?"

Clary-"Ohh shit mom is here...you need to get out Jace."

Jace-"Ok but meet me at the cafe tomorrow. 6 pm. Ok?"

Clary-"Ya fine."

Jocelyn-"Clary you there?"

Clary-"Yes mom I am there. Sorry I was in the bathroom. You needed something?"

Jocelyn-"Yes I wanted to talk to you."

Clary-"About what?"

Jocelyn-"About what happened between You and Jace."

Clary-"Nothing happened mom. Honestly."

Jocelyn-"Honey I know when your mood is off. I would get it if you dont want to open up to me now but just remember I am here for you."

Clary-"Ok fine...I was at Izzy's when Simon sent me a picture of Jace kissing Kaelie. I was so mad at him that he cheated on me that I had to cancel my plan to go shopping with you guys. Sorry about that."

Jocelyn-"Ohh baby...that's too bad. But have you talked to him about this?"

Clary-"No...it's obvious isn't it that he cheated on me?"

Jocelyn-"It would be better if you talk to him rather than ignoring him. It might be a misunderstanding after all."

Clary-"I'll see."

Jocelyn-"Good."

Clary-"You really are keeping your word aren't you?"

Jocelyn-"Mmmhmmmm... I have to."

Clary-"I love you mom."

I hugged her so tightly that she choked.

Jocelyn-"I love you too. You should get some sleep now."

Clary-"Right. Goodnight."

Jocelyn-"Goodnight pumpkin."

I woke up in he morning with dark circles beneath my eyes. I barely slept last night.

I got ready, had a nice family like breakfast with my family and then played dumb charades with them.

We then chose to spend our afternoon wisely so we started with the movie Apostle. It was so good.

Then finally 6 pm came. The time I dreaded the most. I had to meet up with Jace.

I wore plain jeans and top. I reached the cafe by 6.05 pm. He wasn't there.

I waited for him. Maybe he was late.

I tried calling him but he was unavailable.

I dont believe he stood me up.

Ughhhh I was a fool to come up here tonight.

I reached home by 8. Mom and Dad were working so I didn't disturb them.

I went up to my room. I finished my assignments and studied a little bit of Calculus and Limits. I had my dinner in my room only while studying. When I checked the time it was 12 am.

Happy birthday to me!

And suddenly the light went off and it was complete darkness.
