Illusion Forest

A/N: Once again here is a reminder of my plan for this story series. Since it has been a while since I published a chapter.

I plan to have Samantha journey as a Pokemon trainer through the regions along with Ash and his friends from Brock and Misty in Johto. May, Max, and Brock in Hoenn. Dawn and Brock in Sinnoh. To Iris and Cilan in Unova. And finally Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie in Kalos. Her brother Cody might start traveling with Ash and them in the next regions. I don't think I will have him join them while in Johto but he will most likely run into them now and then. I might decide to have her go to Alola.

I'm still trying to figure out when I will introduce Samatha Cody into this story.

Nick: To anwser your question Samantha is 11 but will turn 12 in a chapter for her birthday. Ash is also 11 years old and will also age eventually. Misty and Brock are both around 14th and 15 years old.

Anyway on the chapter!

"Last time Ash and friends were on their way to the Violet City gym. Say this doesn't look like... Uh. Oh," The narrator said as Ash, Misty, Brock, and I were standing in the middle of a huge forest.

"Don't tell me...we're lost again aren't we," Misty said.

"I believe so," I said.

"We're not lost exactly..." Ash said looking around.

"Oh no we're not lost, it just that we don't know where we are!" Brock said with his arms crossed.

'Why can't boys admit when there lost. Ash and Brock or both idiots. Yet there still fun to be around.' I thought shaking my head.'

"This always happens when Ash is in charge!" Misty complained.

"Like, pika," Pikachu said sitting on the ground.

"It's almost sundown, and we're gonna be stuck in some spooky forest all night!" Brock said.

"Did you say spooky?" Misty asked.

"Yeah, I believe that he did," I replied.

"Don't worry guy...c'mon...let's Go!" Ash said running off.

"Go where?!" Misty asked.

"Just trust me..you'll, see, our troubles will be over in no time!" Ash said.

"That means..our troubles are just starting," Misty said.

"Pika, pika,"

"Well traveling with t been interesting so far hasn't it Zuko?" I asked looking up at Cyndaquil on my right shoulder.

"Cyndaquil," Zuko said agreeing.

It was now night time and we were still inside of this forest.

"ASH. WHERE ARE WE NOW!" Misty yelled?

"Now we're...lost," Ash said rubbing his head.

"Now he admits that were lost," I whispered shaking my head.

"And we're in the middle of nowhere!" Misty shouted.

"Everywhere's somewhere!" Ash said rubbing the back of his neck.

'This is going to be a long journey. Well, at least I have some entrainment to help me take my mind off of the fact. That I miss my big sister Jessica.'

"I don't like this place..it's...it's...spooky!" Misty said.

Suddenly the wind started blowing the trees and the clouds began to cover the moon.

"Cut it out making those sounds isn't funny!" Misty yelled.

"That wasn't me Misty," Brock said.

"What did make that sound?" I asked feeling a little scared.

"Who's there?" Ash asked. "Come on out!" He said.

The only response was that same creepy sound and then scary faces appeared on the trees.

"Ahhh!" We all screamed running away and ran off again seeing another tree with that same creepy face.

No matter which way we ran the face kept appearing. Which was starting to get extremely freaking.

"Hoot," A voice cried and red light shined in our face, causing the faces on the trees to disappear.

"Ah," Ash said shocked.

'That cry sounded like a Hoothoot. I should know since I have a Hoothoot.'

"What was that!?" Ash asked.

"It was nothing," A voice said.

We then turned to see a boy with brown spikey hair, a blue shirt, and a green and yellow color necklace around his neck.

"Gary!" Ash said.

'Ash and this boy must know each other. I feel like I met him before. I don't understand why through.'

The boy looked at me with a curious look on his face. Then looked over at Ash.

"What you saw and heard just now was all just an illusion," The boy named Gary said.

I then noticed a Hoothoot standing next to him.

"Good job Hoothoot," Gary said rubbing the Hoothoot head.

"Hoothot," Hoothoot said flapping his wings.

"What's a..." Ash said taking out his Pokedex.

'Really did Ash forget that I have a Hoothoot. He probably never scanned it in his Pokedex.

"Hoothoot, the owl Pokemon. Hoothoot stands on one leg but uses both it's powerful eyes to see clearly even through the darkest night," Ash Pokedex said.

"Unprepared as usual," Gray said. "Don't you know you have to use a Hoothoot to get through this?!" Gray asked.

"What do you mean..what happens if we don'!?" Ash asked.

"You'll get lost here..forever," Gary said.

"Forever!?"Ash said.

"But you have a Hoothoot and you're still here in the forest," Misty said. "If you're not lost how come we caught up with you?" She asked.

"Oh that's easy.. I've been busy..I've caught so many Pokemon I must've lost track of time. You see that's what makes me such a great Pokemon trainer. As soon as I got to this forest, I seized up the situation and took action. I realized that I need a Hoothoot and I got one."

"Come on Hoothoot we better get going," Gary said.

As Gary walked off. I decided to go off with my Hoothoot and try to see if I can find any new Pokemon to catch.

"Rio come out my friend," I said throwing a Pokeball and sending out my Hoothoot.

"I see you on the other side. I'm going to try and find me some Pokemon to catch," I said starting to walk away.

"You sure Samantha?" Ash asked.

"Yeah safety in numbers," Misty said.

"Don't worry I will be fine besides I won't be alone. I got Rio. You should worry about yourself once you don't have a Hoothoot," I said waving bye.

I have been walking through a forest for a while and haven't seen any Pokemon to catch yet.

'I hope Ash and the others are doing okay. Maybe I should stay with them so they had a Hoothoot to get out of this forest.'

Just then a swarm of beedrill appeared in front of me. Which I had a feeling which was most likely an illusion.

"Rio use foresight!" I commanded. Rio nodded as his eyes glowed brightly and the Beedrill we're gone afterward.

"Alright let's get out of here," I said to Zuko and Rio. They both nodded ready to get out of this forest also.

After a couple of minutes of walking. I was out of the forest and just waiting for Ash and the others to show up.

I was sitting on a bench next to a house that belongs to an old woman named Nagatha who was letting rest here until my friends arrived.

"Samantha! There you are!" A voice shouted and I looked up to see Ash and the others heading my way.

"Yeah and you all finally made it out the forest," I said.

As Ash, I, Misy, and Brock waved bye to Nagatha we continue our journey to Violent City.
