As the new prince of the Pride Lands is born, Ardyn complains how he will never be king. Then he came up with a plan to get rid of his brother Somnus and his nephew Noctis. Years later, Noctis grows into a young adult and soon finds out that Ardyn has taken over the Pride Lands. Now Noctis has to fight his uncle to save the throne and his home.

10. Chapter 10

Chapter 10

Noctis arrives to his home. He is stunned to see his once lush beautiful homeland now dark and barren. He saw Pride Rock and glared at it, knowing Ardyn was there.

"Noctis!" someone cried out his name.

He turned around to see Lunafreya.

It's awful isn't it." she said.

"I didn't want to believe you."

"Why'd you come back?"

"I finally got some sense knocked to me. Thanks to Cor." Noctis said. "Besides this is my kingdom. If I don't fight for it, who will."

"I will." Lunafreya said.

"It's gonna be dangerous." Noctis said, facing her.

"Danger? Ha. I laugh in the face of danger. Ha ha ha." Lunafreya said.

"I see nothing funny about this." Prompto said.

Noctis saw his best friends behind him. "Prompto, Gladio, what are you doing here?"

"We're at your service, my liege." Gladio said, bowing.

"We're going to fight you uncle, for this." Prompto said looking at the Pride Lands.

"Yes Prompto. This is my home." Noctis said.

"Talk about your fixer upper. Well Noct, if it's important to you, we're with you to the end."

Noctis smiled and then looked back at Pride Rock. Dark clouds started rolling in.
