Chapter 10: Cody vs Scott (Round Two)
Just like Cody was preparing for the rematch, his opponent was pumping up as well. It was finally here. In one of the barns his family owned, Scott was doing his extreme heavy training to prepare himself for his vengeance against Cody.
It was late in the night. With his family asleep, Scott went to the barn to do more of his training, which consisted of ripping apart and cutting apart heavy punching bags. Renmants of said material were on the floor due to the result of his Razor's Edge quirk. It was like a tornado took out the heavy bags with feral slash. The sound of Scott's quirk echo on the empty barn as the heavy bag hugged on a chain is destroyed. Scott chuckled sinisterly, wiggling his sharp blade right fingers.
Behind him was Sugar and Max. Lightning dropped off both Sugar and Max in Scott's place to watch their country redneck friend trained before the big fight tonight. The rest of the gang would arrive soon; Duncan mentioned they needed to pick up something "important." There were no problems in Scott's training. Since the rematch was declared by him, the country redneck teenager spent the last four weeks doing 3,000 handstands, push-ups with his thumbs, and crushed trees in half by punching them.
Sunrise was setting in a few minutes. Scott turned to his two friends, "Sugar, Max, both of you grab your bats," The two members brought their bats requested by Scott to bring them here. Both of them are curious as to why Scott would ask them to bring a baseball bat. They went to Scott with the bats in their hands. Scott breaths out before nodding his head. "Hit me!"
Both members strike Scott with the bats. To their amazed expression, Scott didn't feel any pain. Sugar and Max kept striking Scott in any parts of the body. He still doesn't flinch or react to broken bones. They increased their ferocity of the wooden bats. The sound of the wood starts to break instead of breaking Scott's bones. From one final strike altogether, both bats were ripped in two.
"Incredible!" Max exclaimed as he dropped the broken bat.
"Right on time for breakfast," Scott commented. The sun was up in front of his eyes. "You two are welcome to eat at my place," Scott exited out of the barn and ventured to his home with his two friends behind him.
"Scott's really strong like a bear, huh Max?" Sugar said, still feeling awed at Scott's performance in strength and durability.
"Indeed. Four weeks was all it took for him to gear up in preparation against his foe tonight. That foolish hero wannabe won't last a minute since Scott is prepared whatever tricks he's having," Max replied back. He was confident his friend would mop the floor against Cody as part of his revenge for that desperate move he pulled at the end of the pre-test. Scott walked up the small stairs and entered the home, as did Sugar and Max.
Scott walks inside the kitchen and greeted "Morning folks," He got a lazy 'Morning son' back from his dad with his eyes glued on the paper and a cheery 'Morning sweetie' from his mom. "Hope you don't mind my friends are here,"
"Morning Scott!" Scott frowned to glance at his four year old sister. She had long dusty brown hair tied in pigtails, freckles in both cheeks, a red blouse and cargo pink shorts. She gave her big brother a big grin that Scott found not amusing.
"Morning Albertha," Scott muttered unfriendly. Albertha didn't notice the tone he used. Scott grabs an empty plate filled with fresh eggs and bacon. Sugar and Max got their breakfast and sat on the table.
"What were you doing outside, Scott?" Albertha asked. She holds a spoon with her favorite brand of cereal.
"Training," Scott said nonchalantly. His mouth was filled with a mixture of eggs and bacon.
"You're still bothering with that hero stuff, son?" Scott's father lowers his paper to stare at his son.
"Yes dad."
"I don't know why your school would want someone from Japan to teach students how to be a hero. There's no room for freaks in tight casing trouble. That class of yours is a waste of time. I don't know why you're there."
"Blame my teacher, pops," Scott said, getting a huff from the old man. Then Albertha hops right out of her seat in excitement.
"I think it's cool you're in a hero class, Scott! Maybe when my quirk arrives, I could enroll in that class!" She yelled. The little sister didn't hear Scott muttering under his breath, and Sugar and Max snickered.
"You wish."
"Guess what, Scott? I got invited to a sleepover at one of my best friends' tonight!" Albertha said to Scott. Scott continues to ignore her as he ate his breakfast with the same expression.
Scott's mom sat down and asked "Any plans you got for tonight, Scott?" Her son shrugged his shoulders.
"Just hanging out with my crew, ma."
"Just don't get in any trouble; you just got recovered from your injuries," She reminded of her son's battle as part of his Pre-Test.
"Heh, relax ma, I gotta feel tonight might go easy on me," Scott laughed a little. Sugar and Max laugh along to confuse the parents and little sister of some sort of joke between the three friends.
After breakfast, Scott's parents told their son they'll be out for the rest of the day and they're taking their daughter with them. Albertha gave Scott an adorable goodbye hug (which Scott didn't like). When they're gone, Scott and his two friends went back to the barn where the country redneck was training all night. There they saw Lightning's 1980 dark blue Chevrolet Camaro and Amy's 2019 red Mercedes convertible parked outside of the barn. He saw the gang, and to his surprise, Duncan and Gwen.
A surprise laugh came out of Scott walking to the gang. "Never though I see you again," He commented. Duncan came and friendly fistbumped the country redneck teenager. The rest of the gang are left to do things by themselves as both Duncan and Scott went to another location to talk. The two criminals are at a large lake that was closed to Scott's farm.
"Tonight's the fight. Ready to dominate that loser?" Duncan grinned as he picked up a rock.
"I've been waiting four goddamn weeks for this," Scott laughed evilly. Duncan threw a rock that skipped five meters across the lake. Scott picked up a rock and threw it much farther than him. "I still remember that foul trick he pulled out," His eyebrows furrowed at the memory of Cody unleashing a hurricane out of his hands that made him the unofficial winner. He picked up another rock. "Four weeks of pain and eating nothing but liquid food. Now I'm ready to put that damn Air Nerd back in his place!" The rock is thrown like a speeding bullet.
Duncan stares at his friend and his new confidence of his rematch with a firm nod. Grabbing another rock, he stared before throwing "Just don't lose to Cody again. This gang's pride is on the line here."
"Didn't think I was that important," Scott mockingly cooed, causing Duncan to roll his eyes in amusement. "But relax, Pele," He chuckled at the nickname, much to Duncan's dismay. "This won't be like in the pretest. I'm gonna give him the most painful experience in his life. I'll regain the gang's pride, and humiliate that bastard so much he'll have to give up on this silly dream of being a hero."
Duncan gave Scott a sadistic smile, "If you're wondering if I'm gonna be there despite my expulsion, don't cry. Nothing won't make me happy to see Air Nerd getting his ass kicked," Scott smiles right back at him that his bro and leader have his full support.
As Duncan and Scott were having a small conversation, the gang are left doing what they can. Though a certain egoistic football player decided to voice his opinions on the rematch.
"Lightning should be the one to fight the nerd!" Lightning proclaims loudly, much to the gang's dismay. "I was robbed from my fight!"
"Give it up, jock strap!" Jo shouted at the football player. "Scott's the one that demanded the rematch first!" Next to her was Gwen. She was invited by her boyfriend to come here. The goth rolled her eyes at the female athlete's complaint. She wanted a rematch as well ever since Jo lost her mock fight with Noah.
"Why are we here this early? The fight is not till tonight," Amy complained. The mean cheerleader was on her phone to get rid of her boredom.
"We gotta make sure Scott doesn't blow this," Mal answered Amy's complaint. "As his friends he needs our support if he wants to win against Cody."
"How would you know if that fool is not going to do the same trick he used on Scott?" Sugar asked of the trick that made Cody defeat Scott at the last minute.
"Don't sag your southern tits," Mal said, bringing Sugar to frown at the comment. "Scott has tricks that can counter Cody's pathetic move," The malevolent teen's eyes saw Duncan and Scott returning back from their little talk. "Back from your little heart-to-heart talk?" He mockingly grinned.
"What's the plan now, Scott?" Sugar asked him, to which Scott grinned wickedly.
An hour later went by as Scott resumed working out. He knows he just spent the night training non-stop, but he wanted to do one last work-out before his rematch. The fight was at nine o'clock at the abandoned farm near his home. Duncan, Gwen, and the rest of the gang are inside of the barn to watch Scott train one last time. The redneck was dressed in only MMA-shorts along with martial art tapes wrapped around his legs and arms while staring at his target with a deep serious look. A massive cow carcass attached in a similar war as a punching bag.
As Scott's friends and Gwen looked in silence, Scott rushed at the cow carcass with great speed and punched it. Not only it caused a massive hole, but sent the piece flying to the other side of the wall. Scott lay out an awed laugh, clutching his right fist.
"Amazing punch, Scott!" Sugar squealed with Amy and Max praise behind the pageant beauty.
Jo and Lightning both scoff and mutter "I could've done a better punch than that," Jo gave her a thumbs up with Lightning saying "It was an alright punch."
Mal clapped his hand with a low smirk. Gwen didn't show much in praising Scott than uttering sarcastically "Congratulations," Duncan put on an eager and excited smile as he picked up the piece of carcass from the ground.
"One hell of a punch you got," Duncan praised his redneck friend's powers. He held the piece in front of Scott's eyes. "This is what you'll be expecting to do when you finally wipe off that nerd!"
Feeling arrogant and cocky from the praise from the gang, Scott delivered a feral and eager smile while activating his Razor's Edge quirk to show his friends his deadly blade-transformed fingers. "Thanks Duncan, but that punch wasn't even my strongest one. I'm going to use my full power to destroy that Air Nerd and prove to everyone that he ain't worthy enough to become a pro hero!" He twists his body to swiftly slash the damaged cow carcass in many pieces. He laughed maniacally with Duncan and his friends joining in.
No one noticed Gwen was the only one not laughing. She felt both disturbed and creeped out what Scott had said.
Later in the evening, near the town of Phillippe, Izuku and the rest of Cody's friends arrived to pick Cody up for his rematch. Cody spent almost the entire day training before his fight. It was eight right now. Only an hour left before the fight begins. Izuku managed to lead his new friends toward Drake's house in the middle of the woods. When they first glance at the house, everyone is awed.
"Dang, his uncle must be famous to be living in a fancy home!" Leshawna complimented loudly at the luxury mansion-based cabin.
"I don't think this counts as a cabin in the woods; it's more like a Mcmansion in the wood," Noah remarked, his eyes widened at the size of the house.
"Cody's been holding out on us! We should plan a party there when Cody wins!" Izzy proclaims with her boyfriend pumping his fist in excitement.
"I don't know if Drake would want company in his home. He's not welcome with outsiders," Izuku pointed out. He and Cody are the only ones Drake can invite into his cabin. The green haired cinnamon roll walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell to alert the man. He rang it again after thirty seconds. Izuku rang the bell four more times. This made everyone grow worried and confused.
"Is Cody there?" Sierra asked in wonder and concern. Izuku took out his phone to send a text to Cody he was here. He, along with the gang, all flinched when they heard a roaring commanding voice.
"KEEP YOUR BALANCE!"
The loud voice came from inside the woods. All the heroes-in-training rushed toward the direction where the loud voice was heard again. They went through the trees and bushes, and everyone of Cody's friends paused to see what they were witnessing. Izuku wasn't shocked; instead he stood next to the tree to his right and crossed his arms with a small proud smile.
Right in front of them, Drake Anderson was motivating Cody in finishing his last work-out before his big match with Scott. All of the friends' eyes looked at a heavily sweating Cody in some kind of special fighting stance and kept himself both steady and and focused in great balance. But it wasn't that amazing. 26 big logs are tied to the chestnut boy's back with a strong heavy titanium chain around his well-build torso. Everyone, except for Izuku, couldn't believe the sight in front of them.
"Holy cheese!" Owen gasped.
"Cody?" Dawn said in an awed tone.
"Crikey! Those logs should've broken Cody's back, but he's keeping himself like a statue!" Jasmine exclaimed at the extra weight her friend had.
"What's that stance he's doing?" Cameron asked of the fighting posture Cody was doing to keep in balance.
Harold chimed in on his friend's question, "That stance is known as the Sanchin. It's a defensive kata with origins in a karate style from Okinawa. It is said to be the simplest yet the ultimate kata. It is known to be a kata where the user concentrates on stance, breathing, and stability in order to take blows with little damage. The technique requires much training in order to use effectively and that the user must train his mind, body and spirit in order to withstand the blows."
Izuku comments "And this technique is doing well for Cody. I've seen his work in progress. He has grown in his physical abilities along with his strength. Your friend is much more incredible and tougher than he was first training and also can handle better control of his quirk," With Cody's friends being more amazed, Noah was in disbelief that someone can actually grow strong after four weeks.
"This is unbelievable," Noah muttered. He placed his hand on his forehead to ease the mild headache.
"It is possible, Noah," Sam added. Harold nods his head to confirm this. "However, in some way, people can't become strong in a short span of time," This got Cameron's attention aftering hearing Sam's words. He looked at Cody working on his stance in deep wonder and admiration.
"If Cody can become this strong in four weeks, could there be a chance I could be strong as well?" Cameron wondered in thought.
Cody gritted his pain as he continued to struggle with holding all of those logs tied behind his back and keeping his Sanchin stance at the same time. He failed to notice his friends and Izuku are here, even after he texted Izuku he's almost done with training. They could see the sweat pouring down his incredible muscular build and veins bulge out from his arms and forehead. The chestnut boy's eyes lean at the figures of Owen and Dawn, concluding the hero-on-training that they were here. With a relieved smile, Cody stopped his training by untying the titanium chain from his body. The logs all dropped down in an instant.
"Seven minutes and a half. A new record," Drake spoke with an impressive smile. Cody returns the smile, and greets his friends.
"Sup' guys!" The friends return the gesture. Sierra and Dawn rush to the tech geek and hug the boy. Cody breaks away from the hug and notices Noah was staring at him in a deep thoughtful look. "Hey Noah, how's everything?" He asked his friend, though he was curious why he was still staring at him.
The cynical student body president kept looking at Cody and began to analyze his tech geek's much more muscular build from after four weeks of training. He wasn't like Dawn and her quick, but somehow he felt a new kind of power surrounding Cody. "There's no doubt about it. Both his build and feel have changed. Not to mention his power. It's far different from the time we had our pretest fights. He must have been through serious sick training to become this strong so fast," He thought to himself in more utter bewilderment how such a short time made Cody strong.
While Noah was in his own thoughts, Cody, along with everyone else, had noticed it and the tech geek began to ask something that snapped Noah back to reality. "Uh, Noah, you didn't go crazy from stress with all the school stuff, did you?"
Noah shakes his head, having apparently been deeply offended by Cody's blunt question. "Guess rudeness was added after four weeks," He remarked, causing the chestnut boy to laugh with some of his other friends as well. Izuku continued to smile at the scene, while Drake looked silently at his nephew's friends.
Stopping his laughter, Cody said "Guys, I like you all to meet my uncle."
Drake responded by a simple wave, "Hello,"
Harold, Owen, Izzy, and Jasmine stared at the man with extreme shock. All of them grew large smiles as they rushed towards Drake in excitement and shook his hands very eager. Drake was confused, so did the rest of the gang.
"Any reason why you guys are acting like you meet a celebrity?" Zoey asked her friends' odd behavior.
"Zoey, this is Drake Anderson!" Jasmine exclaimed. "One of the most famous and world-known MMA champions in the world!"
"We're huge fans of him!" Owen chuckled. Izzy went around Drake's appearances to take it in.
"Cody, you didn't tell us your uncle was The Drake Anderson!" Harold added with excitement, still grabbing Drake's hand.
"You never asked," Cody responded back. He was a little surprised his friends are fans of his uncle' days as an MMA champion. It was nice to see them acting like total fans to his uncle. Some of his gang, like Leshawna, Noah and Cameron, couldn't help but tremble and sweat slightly in fear when they felt Drake's inhuman power.
Leshawna, despite being the strong one and surrogate sister in the group, was nervous at the man. "Good god, this man makes even the strongest students feel like baby seals!" She thought in more fear.
Dawn was holding herself in distress as she detected a terrifying aura in her crush's uncle. "His aura...I have never felt anything like this! It'll likely surpass all of the most powerful students in my class!" She noted in comparing the strongest students in Izuku's class. Then looking ahead of the terrifying aura, she notices the man possesses a golden and white color. "On the other hand, he seems a king-hearted and noble man," Her own eyes widened as she saw the minimal slight red. "But I can feel the blood in his hands for the lives he slaughtered from the past. Both human and animal!" The aura reader turns to Cody with concern of his safety and well-being in the presence of this beast.
"Dawn," She was brought back to reality to hear her crush's voice. Her teal eyes bugged to see Drake walking to him. Upon closer inspection, he was much bigger than a grizzly bear and had more muscles than a gorilla, but her fear vanished when Drake spoke.
"You ok there?" He asked in a polite manner.
"I'm alright. I'm Dawn," The aura reader said her name. Drake chuckled lightly and patted her light blonde hair while ruffling. His large hand messed up her hair.
"So adorable," Drake comments that made Dawn lay out an embarrassed blush. Though it brought a smile in her face in seeing another angle at the man as a friendly man despite his frightening appearances.
As the gang were talking to Drake, Cody showed Sam all the tree logs he carried when he practiced his Sanchin stance. The video game addict tried to lift one log up, but only failed in doing so in a comical way.
"How much is this log weight?" Sam asked as he got up from his attempt. Cody lifted a log with one hand that shook Sam.
"200 kilograms," He answered with a smirk. Sam looked at all 26 logs Cody carried on his back.
"That's a combined weight of 5200 kilograms!" Sam answered with a large grin. His mouth hung open in awed at his friend as he was impressed at how far Cody had gotten in his training.
"Cody, it's time to head out," Izuku called his chestnut friend. Cody nods his head, and all the friends journey back to their cars to head for the place where Cody is fighting Scott tonight.
"Mind if I come along?" Drake asked the group who turned their heads at him. "It will be nice to see my nephew fight."
"Sure! Codyikins could use some family support!" Sierra approval. Drake raised his eyebrows at that weird nickname the purple haired girl used at his nephew. He turned to Cody, who motioned his finger around to indicate to just roll with it.
"Let's move it, people! If we're late, Scott will declare himself a winner!" The rest of the gang followed out of the woods after Noah screamed at them to hurry up. They made it to their cars as Drake went back to his cabin to get into his jeep. All of them made their way back to Muskoka and headed to the abandoned farm.
Scott's residence was close to about forty-five miles. The abandoned farm was near Scott's house, as the country redneck said when he confronted Cody at the bathroom in school four weeks ago. The night was close. Izuku spotted the parked cars in the grass field. Looks like the students from his class are here. Izuku, Drake, and the others parked their vehicles to a space. All of them stare at the abandoned farm in front them. The light from the back shone the structure of the farm; spooky and in a damaged state. They followed the light around the back of the farm.
Stopping at the entrance, a single lamp above the farm, there was everyone from school and the students in Cody's hero class. When they saw Cody had arrived, all of them hollered. Izuku noticed a few people in the audience are farmers. It came as a surprise to them as the entire school wouldn't miss the fight. It's been like the top trend since it was announced.
"Cody!" The chestnut boy saw some familiar faces in the crowd, i.e from his hero class. Tyler, Brick, Ryan, Stephanie, Devin, Carrie, Emma, Kitty, Courtney, Beth, Bridgette and Lindsay The chestnut boy grin and went to them.
"Here comes the big hurricane!" Tyler cheered, getting a chuckle from Cody.
"Ready for the fight?" Ryan asked.
"You bet! It's great you guys are here!" Cody replied back with a smirk.
"Wouldn't miss this to see that cocky redneck get his ass kick again," Stephanie winked at the opponent.
Cody chuckle more, then felt a hand touching his right arm. Turning his head he saw Lindsay. "Wow! Cody, you're, like, strong!" She complimented. Cody's face turns mild red as her slender fingers are touching his well-build arm. A gasp escapes from the chestnut boy again when another hand is touching his other arm. He turned to see Bridgette who was awed at feeling his muscle.
"You really worked out, Cody," She said in breathless. Cody's face turns redder as two of the hottest girls are feeling his muscles.
"T-Thanks. Thanks my uncle," Cody stammered. Both girls turn their heads to see the strange man that arrived with the gang. Then Ryan, Tyler, Brick, and Devin all gasped upon recognizing the man.
"You're Drake Anderson, the MMA fighter!" Devin exclaimed loudly.
"Nice to see more of my fans," Drake chuckled. "And thanks for cheering my nephew. He's going to need it," Their good conversation was interrupted by a rude and loud voice.
"Well, the pervert finally showed up!" All eyes turn their attention at the entrance of the barn where the doors are open. Mal, Lightning, Amy, Sugar, Max and Jo appear with arrogant smiles. At the center was Scott, with three curvy country girls. Both Izuku and Cody can guess those three were Scott's fangirls.
"I made a bet with Jo you wouldn't show up! Now I lost ten dollars!" Max grumbles as Jo swipes the money from his hand.
"Relax, Max, when Scott kicks that Air Nerd's ass, it'll be worth more than all the money in the world!" Jo spat at the chestnut boy as she put the money in her gray jacket.
Mal then notices the muscles on Cody's arms and responds sarcastically "Heh, nice muscles you got there, Anderson," This got a scoff from Amy.
"It's probably steroids the pervert injected himself!" She rudely stated, causing her friends to laugh.
Sierra grew furious at those scumbag's insults and was about to attack them, only Cody effortlessly stopped her in time.
"Sierra, it's ok," Cody spoke to her friend in a calm expression. Sierra calms down, and his friends and his supporters are surprised how unfazed Cody was from the bullies' mockery. Drake only started with a quiet serious look in his face.
The chestnut boy marched to Scott in a relaxed way while having his hands in his pockets. Scott, with his three fangirls, began to march toward his enemy as well. Both are standing face-to-face with each other as both of them had confident smiles on their faces, with their powerful auras surrounding them. It made Cameron and Beth both sweat and feel their heartbeats as they felt pressure of those two's power being immeasurable.
"Are you ready for our rematch, Anderson?" Scott taunted as he groped his first fangirl's huge bosom and his other hand groping the second fangirl's large booty. "I'm surprised you didn't wuss out for our second fight. You actually have a pair of balls after all. Talk about bad luck. I promise I'm going to humiliate you in every possible way, and it will be a real miracle if you survive."
Izuku was about to defend Cody and tell Scott off, but he didn't get a chance when Cody nonchalantly replied to the evil redneck of Duncan's gang "Got quite some sexy ladies you got there."
The sexy country girls cling into their admiror while frowning at Cody. Scott raises an eyebrow in amusement, "What, you jealous?"
"If I were you, I better bang those girls while you still have the chance. Cause when I'm through with defeating you, let me just say this, Scott, you won't be able to fuck for a while," Cody smirked.
Everyone was shocked with Cody's now bold and confident side and how he just insulted his hated rival with such ease, while Drake lightly chuckled at his nephew's words. Noah, Mal, and Leshawna thought he was crazy and apparently had a death wish. Scott was shocked at the bold attitude the Air Nerd just showed and insulted him. His fangirls are shocked as well.
But Cody, his friends, and the other members of Duncan's gang gew confused when Scott laughed hysterically for a few minutes and finally stopped while wiping a tear from his face and still chuckling in amusement.
When Scott was done laughing, the evil country boy showed a savage feral smile with several veins beginning to pop up from his neck and forehead, which proved that he was both amused and pissed at the same time. "Nice of you to man up and say that to my face. You're just trying to psych me before our rematch! Now that was uncalled for!" He screamed right at Cody's face.
Scott turns to the third country girl to crouch down for her to get on his back. She complied, and Scott carried both of his fangirls in his arms. He had no problem carrying all three of them, right as he gave his rival one last glance, he said those words to the Air Nerd.
"See ya later, Air Nerd! I'm looking forward to our rematch much more now!" Scott gave one last laugh as he stepped inside the barn with his fangirls holding him on. The rest of Duncan's gang followed. Mal turns his head to give Izuku a vicious glare.
"Don't give any funny ideas in stopping the fight or you'll be sorry," He warned the green haired cinnamon roll. Izuku glared right back at the teenager before Mal joined his friends inside.
During the time before the rematch can begin, Cody was escorted by his uncle to get him into his fighting attire. He brought clothes for him just for this occasion. The chestnut boy was dressed in only light blue MMA-shorts with koi fish patterns on along with having light blue elbow pads and being bare feet while having marital art tapes wrapped around his legs.
He was doing some shadow punching along with having a light spar with Izuku to prepare himself for the long-awaited rematch he was preparing for after the hellish training his uncle put him through. His uncle placed his hand on Cody's shoulder.
"Good luck, Cody. Beat the shit out of that arrogant bozo," Drake smirked.
"I won't let you down, uncle," Cody put on a determination smile.
Inside the barn Scott was also preparing, and like Cody, he was dressed in his fighting attire. A dark red MMA-shorts with animal skulls. He was having a conversation with Duncan who had arrived to see his friend fight his favorite victim. Gwen watched his boyfriend talking to his friend with a bored look.
Duncan said 'good luck' to Scott and warned, "I'm counting on you to win this, and better show that little fucker the difference between them."
Scott showed his friend an arrogant smile with his teeths showing a savage wild look, and replying "No worries, Duncan! I've got this in the bag!"
It was nine o'clock finally. The audiences head inside the large barn. The people who knew Scott put iron made fence cows in a large rectangle arena. The audiences took up the ground, and the balcony. Students have their phones out to record the fight. Bets being made to see which fighter will win.
The two opponents are inside the fence; Cody was in the right corner and Scott in the other corner. The evil redneck had a determined look in his face while cracking his knuckles with an overconfident smile.
Students, including Duncan's gang, were cheering at Scott while some were booing at Cody followed by insults. For Cody's side, he had his friends, Izuku, and the good-hearted students of his class cheering him on. Drake just stared at the upcoming fight in silence. At the center of the arena was the referee, an overweight farmer who was a close friend to Scott's family.
"Listen up!" He shouted to silence the audience. "This is a one-on-one match! There is no time limit! Weapons are prohibited in this arena!" He walked over to Cody to find any hidden weapons and did the same to Scott. He concluded no weapons were found. "Are both fighters ready? Come to the center!"
Both fighters walked as the referee ordered. They stopped to glance at each other. Scott sneer "You got bad luck on your side, Air Nerd. It almost makes me feel bad about what I'm about to do to you that the doctors won't stop the bleeding."
Cody ignores Scott with a serious and determination expression, much to the evil redneck's amusement. On Cody's side, all the people who supported him including Lindsay, Bridgette, and Dawn prayed the chestnut boy would be alright.
"Fighters, take your stance!" The referee shouted. When both fighters heard him, Cody stood his ground in a basic Krav Maga stance while Scott did the same by imitating the standing of an angry grizzly bear. At the right counter of his eyes, Cody noticed both Duncan and Gwen were sitting on top of haystacks with the rest of his friends. The mohawked delinquent noticed Cody's hateful glare on him and returned the glare back, while having Gwen sitting on his lap. But the chestnut boy stopped giving Duncan his glare and focused back in taking part of the fight.
"FIGHT!"
The crowd grew intensely loud, cheering everyone from both sides. But the only catch was neither of the fighters were fighting. They kept their stance while not moving at all, and looking at each other seriously.
As most of the audiences grew impatient, Cameron asked what everyone was thinking, "Why aren't they fighting?"
"Don't you see it, Cameron? The fight has already begun," Noah answered, much to the confusion of the gang except Harold and Devin. Both students understood what the student body president had said.
"It's similar between a duel of two powerful samurai," Harold said. "A single stroke determines the winner and they are waiting for the right moment to attack," It made some of the weaker people of the group cheering for Cody's supporters grow nervous and a bit afraid.
After a few seconds had passed, both Cody and Scott finally moved and rushed at each other extremely fast.
"Finally they move!" Beth exclaimed.
"No, they're just fast," Tyler corrected her.
The chestnut boy landed a powerful punch on Scott's face; with the force of it caused the redneck's forehead to bleed. But Scott just smiled in a sadistic way and continued to charge like a living tank and began to deliver deadly punches, which caused Cody to dodge each of them with ease.
Most of Cody's supporters grew confused when Scott managed to withstood Cody's punch. That's when Izuku informed them by analyzing Scott. "Scott managed to move towards the blow to throw Cody's timing off and reduced the damage. Scott is an incredibly powerful opponent with no martial arts experience and who fights by using brute force and inner fighting instinct in a way a carnivore does. With his own formless eccentric blows, he's a natural at both offense and defense along with the fact that Scott has reached an incredibly high lever as a striker."
Drake then got involved in Izuku's explanation in a deep serious voice, "However."
Meanwhile, Scott continued to throw brutal punches to his smaller opponent and tried to take him down with a spinning roundhouse kick. But Cody once again dodged Scott's attack with ease and before the country boy got the chance to react; Cody leaped into the air to deliver a deadly knee strike on Scott's face, especially on the nose as it now began to bleed heavily. To add it up, Cody delivered many barrages of wind blasts from his Air Quirk quirk that hit Scott multiple times in his entire body. Becoming dizzy from Cody's attacks, Scott stumbled down as Cody raised his leg extremely high and delivered a devastating axe kick on Scott's head, which caused him to fall down on the ground on his back as he coughed blood from the impact. It was then Cody jumped on the fallen opponent and sat on him without even giving Scott the chance to breathe. Cody began to strike down on him with hundreds of punches on Scott's face, with the redneck barely managing to shield his face with both of his arms.
"If this was just a fist fight, only a very few people would stand a chance against beating Scott," Drake said, looking at his nephew winning against his opponent. As Cody continues to strike Scott, most of the crowd such as Heather, Max, Sugar, Amy and Lightning were in disbelief and shock on how Scott is being dominated in this fight along with him on the verge of losing. Some of the farmers and students were impressed with Cody's new incredible power. Gwen was also slightly amazed at Cody's strength while Mal began to worry about how Scott will lose.
"Damn it!" He cursed under his breath, finding this a waste of time. But standing next to him was Duncan spouting an arrogant smile. "What?"
"The real fight is about to begin, Mal," Duncan stated.
While Cody continued to strike Scott in the face, as it was now bloody and bruised, the tech geek thought for himself on how strong Scott was and how much of a good fighter he is. But unfortunately for the redneck, it was him that had the worst luck since Cody had trained by his uncle to be able to defeat strong opponents. The chestnut boy delivered another blow on Scott's face which caused him to let his arms fall down from defending his face, as Cody continued to pummel him.
Both Dawn and Lindsay were scared at how Cody was beating Scott, while the rest of Cody's supporters cheered for Cody. Seeing his opponent wasn't getting up, it was his chance to win the fight. Cody prepared to finish this with a final brutal punch as he cockily asked "Was that the best you got? He brought down his fist Scott, and that's when Scott woke up with a savage insane smile and made an extremely quick movement with one of his arms.
Everyone grew silent with Drake kept staring. Cody's supporters had shocked looks and Duncan and his gang, except for Gwen, had all grown sadistic smiles on the sight they were witnessing.
Cody flinches at the warm blood from his right arm. He saw four deep cuts on it as blood spurted from it. Cody didn't have time to react as he jumped away from Scott's second attack. A grunt escaped his lips; looking down at his torso were five bloody cuts.
Everyone of Scott's supporters began to cheer as Cody's supporters except for Drake grew worried that Cody was bleeding heavily. The chestnut boy covered his wounds on his torso with one hand. He glared at his opponent who held an arrogant smile, and having both his new transformed blade-fingers covered in blood.
"You're not winning this way!" Scott declared, his razor blade fingers clang together that made Cody sweat slowly from his forehead.
"What just happened?" Carrie asked in shock of seeing Cody being cut two times. "I didn't see Scott attack!
"Allow me to give you a little lesson then!" Duncan heard Carrie's bewilderment statement. "That was Scott's incredible powerful grip strength. Cody's not the only one who went through serious training. Scott mastered all three types of grip strengths. The first one is the strength to break objects with pressure: Crush grip. The second is the strength to hold objects: Support grip. And the third one is the strength of the finger: Pinch Grip. Scott's pinching power is far beyond human limits. I once saw him climb up a sheer cliff in the Grand Canyon with no tools or safe gear. It was like a walk in the park," The rest of Duncan's gang all remembered how their country redneck friend climbed that cliff with just his quirk. "And combining that inhuman grip strength and his Razor's Edge quirk, Scott became the perfect example of a superhuman and that is why there is no chance in hell he would lose to someone as pathetic as the Air Nerd," He smirked.
Everyone of Scott's supporters cheered loudly for Scott as they encouraged him to rip Cody to pieces, with Cody's supporters beginning to notice that this isn't the first time all of those people have seen him fight with his quirk. It was then Scott began to calmly march toward Cody in a threatening way with all of his blade-fingers ready and smirk, "Since you enjoyed beating me up so many times, I'm going to return the favor by beating you into a pulp and to mince into pieces."
Scott rushes at Cody and begins to strike him down with his blade-fingers at superhuman speed. Even though Cody tried to defend himself by putting both of his arms as a shield, Scott still manages to cut Cody in the arms, stomach, and thigh area. But even after getting sliced, Cody managed to fight back by delivering various Krav Maga techniques on his opponent and managing to escape and defend against Scott's attacks. But Cody's luck would quickly end when after he delivered a swift hammer on Scott's face, the evil country boy took a strong grip on the tech geek's shoulder which prevented him from escaping and dodging Scott's Incoming attack.
"Say goodnight, nerd," Scott smirked before launching a powerful uppercut on Cody's face. The force of the punch sent Cody flying to the other side of the arena and his back smashed against the iron fence and landed on the ground lifelessly like a sack of potatoes.
Cody's supporters grew worried when they saw Cody on the ground while bleeding severely. But to their relief, they saw Cody struggling to get up while spitting blood from Scott's punch. But it was then Scott ran at him and began to deliver a barrage of brutal attacks on Cody and it was then he began to use one of his super moves.
"Check this one, folks! I call this 'The Boar Killer!'" Scott declared as he picked Cody up in the air and grasped him tightly in his neck with both of his hands. Cody is being choked by Scott's powerful grip. He struggled to get out of this move and blood began to pour down from his mouth.
"Cody!" Bridgette shouted while Dawn covered her in shock.
"Let him go! He'll die!" Lindsay struggles not to cry from the horrid scene.
It was then Izuku saw the fight was getting out of hand. He decided to put an end to this by saving Cody's life. Before he could climb over the fence, Drake stopped him by grabbing his shoulder.
"Drake!" Izuku spoke to the man who stopped him in shock. The green haired friend real back in fright when the man presents a fist in front of his face.
"If you don't wanna get punched for being an idiot, don't intervene!" Drake spoke harshly at him.
"Don't you care what happens to your nephew?" Izuku asked, not being scared of the threat.
"You think this was my plan?" Drake said, making Izuku shut his mouth. Cody's other friends turn their attention between the man and Izuku. "If any of you all thought for one minute that by saving my nephew's life, you're taking away a part of his pride as a warrior. Isn't that insulting?" He spat at all of them. "Cody knew the risks of the fight, and he is willing to do it anyway. Besides, Cody has barely started his power yet," Some of Cody's supporters had heard what the man said, and all looked at him with confusion. "Just return watching the fight, and you'll see," He looked at Cody, and shouted "Cody, focus! Your opponent is just as incompatible to you as you are to him!"
Cody had heard his uncle's words, just as Scott was enjoying strangling Cody, much to his supporter's joy and cheering. The tech geek had one idea that just popped in his head. He back kicked Scott in the family's jewels over and over again. Scott struggles in feeling the extreme pain, and continues choking Cody.
With the oxygen cutting from his body, the tech geek suddenly remembered his training in mastering the Ippon Ken technique. With one swift movement, he hit the Ippon Ken technique right at Scott's left eye. His eye felt like it got hit by a BB bullet traveling at long distance; it was bloody and the eye closed. Cody was free as Scott covered his injured eye and screamed loudly.
The audiences flinch at what Cody had done to free himself from Scott's 'Boar Killer' move. Cody was on the ground and coughing heavily before he got up and finally decided to end this crap.
Scott stopped his screaming, and furiously glanced at Cody with his left bloody eye closed. Roaring in rage, Scott charged at Cody like an enraged lion and delivered a barrage of fast deadly swipes with his blade-fingers, which got Cody a few more cuts while he dodged most of the attacks.
Cameron saw the wounds around Cody's body in fear, and the blood flowing out. "It's impossible for someone to still fight with at least an ounce of his blood already gone!" He said in alarm.
"Is Cody gonna die?!" Lindsay's heart was beating fast at the horrible though and the sight of blood.
"If this continues, he won't last much longer."
Scott rushed again at Cody to shred him to pieces, but Cody had enough and yelled "Don't get carried away!"
Just as Scott was a few inches close to Cody to strike him once again with his deadly blade-finger, Cody countered Scott's move and threw him in the ground harshly with a Shoulder Throw. But Scott quickly got up again to attack his enemy; Cody released a brutal front kick on his opponent's face and Scott fell to the ground from the impact.
Cody's supporters cheered at the move Cody delivered and even half a number of Scott's supporters began to cheer for the chestnut boy and encouraged him to finish Scott off. But then everyone grew confused. Cody was just standing there while looking at his fallen opponent and began to wonder what's wrong while some impatient people in the audience demanded Cody to finish this off.
Everyone went alarm as Scott tried to pick himself up from the ground. The country redneck started laughing hysterically like a hyena with his face now more bruised and bloody then before. "I gotta say, Air Nerd! That was one hell of a kick! Good thing I managed to put both of my hands up when you kicked me!" He screams at his opponent with insanity.
Cody then screamed as he felt five cuts being slash at his right leg. He barely can stand on his two feet as he covered his new bloody wound.
Cameron said in disbelief "Despite being kicked in the face, he still managed to cut Cody!" Behind the boy was Zoey whose face spelled utter fear.
"Scott's like an armored beast! There's not a single cut in his armor and he's definitely completely guarded!" She exclaimed.
"Hate to say it, but she's right," Courtney said fearfully. Devin, Harold, and Owen all nodded their heads as they were impressed with Scott's strength.
"Feeling confident for your buddy losers?!" Duncan shouted mockingly at Cody's supporters. He, along with his friends, mock them for siding with Cody. Gwen stayed silent since she didn't care much. Duncan laughed as he said, "Take a look! Take a look at him, Greenie! Our boy, Scott, has no blind spots! He can hit, he can dodge, and he can cut anymore into pieces!"
"Give up, geek! You can't win!" Heather shouted as she cackled. Her phone points at Cody's bloody body.
"Lightning knew your win was a fake from the start!" Lightning braged smugly.
"Where's that cheap move you pulled last time?!" Jo shouted at Cody to bring up the one move that defeated her friend at the last minute of his mock battle. Izuku, Sierra, and Leshawna were greatly angered.
Cody's legs wobble as he was back on his feet. The blood loss was making him dizzy; he kept his head right and stared at Scott as the country redneck licking one of his bloody blade-fingers. Cody took his stand with a deep serious look.
"You put up a good fight," Scott stated arrogantly. "Hate to say it you're a lot different when we fought back at sensei's class. You really fought well for a prey," This got Cody and most of the audiences confused.
"Prey? What the hell do you mean?" Cody wondered what Scott meant while having his eyebrows raised. "If I didn't know better, you're making it sound like you are-"
"That's right!" Scott shouted that fliched everyone. He lowered himself in a low stance while giving him a frightening look that scared some of the weaker people. "I'm a predator!"
"This guy seriously gone crazy," Taylor remarked, right as Scott continued asking this to Cody.
"You wanna know about how I got my quirk?" Scott said in a very excited and confident way. "I was three and a half years old. Before I got these," He wiggled his bladed fingers. "I tore my first coin in half. I never thought I would actually do it. I was born with my incredibly powerful grip strength. And my quirk came as a bonus. I can cut through anything into pieces, even a samurai's armor like that," He snapped two finger blades together to make a sharp sound. "I'm a whole different strength from this class and the heroes and villains from the beginning. Since you put up a good fight with me, I'm going to tell you what I called myself. It's my official feared nickname."
"What is it?" Cody asked. Izuku and Cody's friends and everyone lean forward to hear what Scott's nickname was. The redneck chuckled before saying.
"The Ultimate Predator: Scotty The Ripper!" He revealed.
"Huh, that's a cool nickname in a scary way," Cody complimented. He takes a few breaths.
"You're going to like this next. I got that nickname as an inspiration from the legendary British murderer, Jack The Ripper," Scott grinned, causing Cody and the audiences to recoil in disgust. "Even though Jack was a scum who murdered women, we both have something in common. We're great predators!" Smirking at his opponent who held his head on the ground, Scott cockily said these words to Cody, "A pretty catchy name for a predator like me, wouldn't you agree?"
Many of Cody's supporters along with a few of Scott's former supporters are disgusted with Scott's arrogance and honoring his nickname to a well-known murderer. Leshawna loudly commented "That just straight up nasty for calling himself that!" Her eyes stared at her friend with concern and his chances in winning the rematch was a low percentage since she knew Scott's quirk is quite a serious threat. "Hey Izuku, we gotta do something," She said to him.
Izuku nodded his head, "You're right."
"And miss what my nephew is about to pull off?" Drake spoke to the two that made them turn their heads to see him sporting a calm confident smirk. "Just keep watching."
Cody continues looking at the ground after Scott told him the reason behind his sinister nickname. Slowly, he began to chuckle, which quickly turned into a hysterical outburst of laughter. With the exception of Drake, Duncan's gang, Cody's supporters and the audiences grew confused and bewildered at his behavior.
Confused on why his opponent was suddenly laughing, Scott asked "What the hell is so funny?"
After wiping a tear from his eyes from all the laughing, Cody pointed out, "You really are a chatterbox, you know that?" This got the redneck's attention as Cody casually cracked his knuckles. "I mean, come on! You, a predator?! What a fuckin load of bullshit! Prey like me aren't that easy for the likes of you to defeat!"
Everyone of Cody's supporters, especially Dawn, Lindsay and Bridgette, are shocked at Cody's insult at Scott. Noah though Cody was acting like an idiot with a death wish. Duncan's gang and the mohawked teenager himself just laughed and mocked the chestnut boy for being a sore loser. Gwen looked on in deep serious silence.
Scott was extremely pissed at his hated enemy's taunts, but quickly turned into an arrogant smile while telling Cody, "That's some big talk coming from a pathetic weakling who's powerless against my Razor's Edge quirk."
"I found a way to beat your quirk!" Cody declared. Scott and the audience grew confused. "During my training with my uncle, I remembered the time when Izuku first came to my school, and during the first day in the Hero Course, you mentioned your weakness when you introduced your quirk to everyone," Cody walked calmly at Scott with a proud smirk. "The only reason you didn't finish me off was because you wanted to see if I had any other abilities I learned," Now standing close to a very furious Scott face-to-face, he finished by saying "You disappointed me."
Izuku also remembered what Scott said when he presented his Razor's Edge quirk and how his quirk works. Cody might actually win this! But Cody's supporters didn't know that as all of them were yelling at Cody to move away.
"This nerd is crazy, he wants to die!" Mal cackled.
Scott was glaring furiously at his smiling opponent and told Cody rudely, "You're in my space."
The atmosphere was silent between the two; it was heavy and scary for the audiences as they glanced at both fighters who were staring at each other intensely.
Duncan broke the silence by yelling "FINISH HIM!"
With a savage look and an insane smile, Scott replied "You don't have to tell me twice!" With extremely fast movement, Scott raise his right arm up in the air in a claw-like form. He dived his blade-fingers down a powerful deadly slash with great speed. "I'm going to slice you into tiny pieces of Air Nerd!"
"Cody!" Some of the chestnut boy's supporters shouted as the claw was dropped down at his opponent, while Duncan and his gang had triumphant smiles on their faces.
But Drake and Izuku weren't worried. Instead they sported confident grins, and Izuku whispered, "He did it."
All eyes locked on to Cody stopping Scott's hand from cutting him by trapping them between his own fingers. Everyone was surprised while Duncan and the gang who were more shocked at the sight and Gwen had eyes wide in surprise at Cody countering Scott's deadly move. Despite being extremely shocked at first, the supporters from Cody's side cheered loudly. Dawn, Bridgette, Lindsay, and Sierra are the ones who cheered the hardest. It was truly an amazing sight for everyone in the audience to see.
"But how?!" Scott demanded why his attack failed when his target was at his closest distance.
"Guess you should've paid more attention in class more often punk," Drake hollered at Scott.
Izuku turned his attention to the supporters, explaining "When Scott showed us his Razor's Edge quirk, he told us in order to slash his opponents he has to gain an accelerated level. He got Cody multiple times because he was away from Scott. But Cody finally found that out. That's why he walked to Scott. In other words, without having enough distance, Scott's blade-fingers can't even cut through."
Feeling frustrated, Scott tried to hit him with his other hand for another deadly slash. But once again, Cody caught it as well. Now Scott was defenseless. The evil country redneck boy struggles to free his hands. Cody decided to use the chance to taunt his enemy.
"So how's it feel to be dominated, Scotty the Prey?" He smirked smugly.
Scott gritted his teeth at the nickname the Air Nerd had given him. He hated being called a prey! It made Scott more furious and angry, acting like a savage animal.
"He's losing it, yall!" Sugar stated in worry at her friend's primal behavior.
"Scott, you don't need your quirk to finish this wannabe hero! You're bigger and stronger than him!" Max arrogantly declared.
Letting out a roar made both his hands free, Scott tried to do a brutal punch. But Cody landed a powerful headbutt on Scott's face with impressive speed that caused the redneck to be stunned for a moment. As the country boy stumbles, he tries once again to cut Cody with his blade-fingers.
It was time that Cody dominated the parts of the fight by landing powerful Krav Maga techniques on Scott. Several boxing punches, different karate styles, and brutal judo-throws. Scott was feeling dizzy from all those attacks; Cody moved behind Scott to grab him and performed a brutal German Suplex, which heavily caused Scott to have a serious painful concussion.
Now seeing this as his chance to finally finish his enemy off for good, Cody decided to use one of the ultimate techniques he has been taught by his uncle during his hellish training and mixing his Air Quirk. He picked up the barely unconscious Scott from the ground and before the redneck could recover, Cody swiftly grabbed his wrist. Using his new herculean strength, he spun Scott around like a ragdoll before throwing him in the air.
With both hands raised up, he shouted "Crushing Tornado Throw!" He launches a powerful wind blast that forces Scott's body to smash into the ceiling. As he fell down in mid-air, Cody quickly pulled down the evil country boy's arm and slammed his head to the ground, face first in a brutal way.
"Holy crap!" Owen shouted at the incredible move Cody just pulled. It wasn't like what he had done before in the mock battles.
Noah then recognizes Cody's super move and says to everyone, "That move is based on a powerful Aikido technique called 'Hundred Meeting Throws.' By combining Cody's Air Blast quirk, that became his official first super move," This caused everyone to become impressed, and Drake smiled since he taught Cody the move.
Scott lies on the ground, not having the strength to get back up after that move. He wasn't preparing for Cody to pull up something like how the tech geek had done to him by unleashing that hurricane that gave Scott internal injuries and broken ribs. Now he was wrong, really wrong! That Air Nerd defeated him, this time fair and square!
Glazing at Cody in disbelief, he had time to utter these words. "Cody Anderson...Somehow...somehow...that little shit has gotten so strong...so strong in such a short time...that's no human work!"
"No! God Dammit no!" Duncan angrily roared. "What the hell is the matter with you, Scott?! Get up and fight!"
But Cody got closer to Scott and turned to Duncan with a smug grin, "Sorry, ain't gonna happen!" He finished Scott off by raising his foot and brutally stomped him in the face, which finally knocked the evil redneck of Duncan's gang for good. The force of Cody's stomp has left a foot-imprinted bruise on Scott's face with shattered teeth and broken nose.
The referee saw Scott was unable to continue the fight, and declared "The winner is Cody Anderson!"
Almost everyone in the audience cheered widely for Cody, while Drake, Izuku and Cody's supporters made their way over the fence to congratulate their friend for his victory.
"That was awesome, Cody!" Zoey cheered. Cody has gotten a hug from Sierra, Dawn, Bridgette and Lindsay before getting fist bump from the males. The rest of Duncan's gang are left shocked on how Scott was dominated and destroyed in this fight.
"Impossible...simply impossible!" Max declared, wanting to pull his purple hair out.
Cody gave one last look at the unconscious injured Scott and said these final words to him, "You see that, Scott? It's the power of the improved Air Nerd!"
The audience leaves the barn with Cody being the center of the spotlight. Owen and Ryan both lifted Cody on their shoulders as the tech geek saw them showing their amazed expressions. Like he has proved back in class, he proved to everyone at school how he can be a future Pro-Hero.
Drake marched his way from the crowd and extended a hand at his nephew, "You put up a good fight, Cody!"
"I never would have done it if it wasn't for you, Uncle Drake!" Cody shouted joyfully.
"We gotta celebrate, dude!" Owen shouted at his friend. "Let's party!"
"But we gotta take him to the hospital first!" Jasmine pointed out at the injuries Cody has gotten. Ryan left Cody to be lifted by Owen as the super active teenager made his way to the cars with the entire gang behind him as well as Izuku and Drake. Cody and the gang left the scene and the audiences left as well.
The only ones that stayed were Duncan and his friends. The referee carried Scott out of the barn and told another farmer to call the medics. Duncan glanced at the country boy with a sneer.
