Midoriya had been surprised when Kyoka asked him to meet up with her the very next day after what had happened.
Needless to say, when he arrived, he quickly realized why.
Standing there, waiting for him, was Kyoka and Kyotoku.
"The two of you can talk amongst yourselves, I'll be right back." Kyoka told them.
Kyoka took a few steps away from them before stopping, turning around and approaching her father again.
"Be nice to him." Kyoka said, threateningly.
Kyotoku nervously nodded and with that, Kyoka took her leave.
Kyotoku sighed and looked at Midoriya, with a less than enthusiastic expression on his face.
"I'm sorry that I misjudged you and went a little overboard before I got the full story." Kyotoku said.
The apology was clearly rehearsed and didn't mean much to him, but Midoriya knew that Mika and Kyoka had managed to sort out the situation, so he'll take whatever he can get.
"It's alright, you were just protecting Kyoka." Midoriya said.
Kyotoku looked down at the street, from the bridge, seeing Kyoka running into a shop.
Kyotoku sighed again, this time not even looking at Midoriya before he spoke.
"Can I ask you a question?" Kyotoku asked.
"Of course, sir." Midoriya said, nervously.
"Is Kyoka doing alright?" Kyotoku asked.
"What do you mean?" Midoriya asked.
"I don't get to see her nearly as much and with her living at the dorms and all of these villain encounters, it concerns me that it might be taking a toll on her." Kyotoku admitted.
Midoriya pulled up his sleeve, revealing the scars on his hands.
"I'm not going to lie to you, it has taken a toll on all of us." Midoriya told him.
Kyotoku was taken aback by the sudden switch in terms of confidence from Midoriya.
"Kyoka has been changed by the experience, she doesn't always show it, but I can see it in her demeanor, in her voice and in her lyrics." Midoriya said.
"She let him read her lyrics, this might be more serious than I thought." Kyotoku thought.
"Sometimes, it's good, like when we had that concert at our festival but I have noticed that there are times when she is lacking confidence or her driving force to become a hero is low." Midoriya told him.
"I want to be there for her during both of those times, to support her either way and help her just as she helped me." Midoriya told him.
Kyotoku was at a loss for words, shocked by Midoriya's determination and devotion to Kyoka.
As Kyoka returned, Kyotoku smiled.
"So, what's going on?" Kyoka asked.
"I'm still not sure about him." Kyotoku said, as he pointed at Midoriya.
"So much for that." Midoriya thought, in defeat.
"But… I approve of your relationship." Kyotoku said.
"What?" Midoriya thought, in confusion.
Kyotoku threateningly put his hand on Midoriya's shoulder.
"Treat her right, or you'll be sorry." Kyotoku threatened him.
With that said, Kyotoku walked away, with a smirk on his face.
"Wait, I told you that Izuku and I aren't dating!" Kyoka shouted, to no avail.
Kyoka just looked at Midoriya, wondering what happened while she was gone.
"Believe me, I'm just as confused as you are right now." Midoriya said.
Meanwhile.
The girls were having a meeting in the kitchen, to once again discuss different topics, as usual.
Inevitably, the subject of Midoriya and Jiro had come up.
"Do you really think that Deku likes Kyoka in that way?" Ochaco asked.
"Yeah, totally, why?" Toru asked.
"Yeah, Ochaco, you wouldn't happen to be jealous, would you?" Mina asked, teasingly.
"No, of course not, I'm just wondering about my best friend, that's all!" Ochaco blurted out, nervously laughing as she spoke.
"Oh, so he's your best friend?" Tsuyu questioned.
Tsuyu teased her by acting like she was offended by Ochaco's words.
"You're both really good friends." Ochaco said, trying to remedy the situation.
Tsuyu laughed and patted Ochaco on the back to comfort her.
"Anyway, let's get back on track, who else thinks that Midoriya and Kyoka are in a relationship?" Mina questioned.
Mina, Toru and Tsuyu all raised their hands while Ochaco didn't and Yaoyorozu only slightly lifted her hand.
"I don't believe that they are currently in a relationship but I suppose that I could see the two of them becoming a couple in the near future." Yaoyorozu said.
"Fair enough." Mina said.
Later.
After Midoriya and Jiro had returned to the dorms, they went back to their rooms, as both of them were thinking about what Kyotoku had said.
"Everyone seems to be convinced that we're a couple, granted I wouldn't be opposed to it, but they seem so sure of it." Midoriya thought.
"I mean, it's not like I'm not attracted to Midoriya, but I preferred it when we had those close moments to ourselves, it was something so genuine that It shouldn't become forced." Kyoka thought.
A knock on Midoriya's door interrupted his train of thought.
Midoriya opened the door, revealing Mina.
Midoriya didn't even get a word in, as Mina immediately grabbed him by the hand.
"We need to talk." Mina said.
Elsewhere.
Mika was walking down the street, singing to herself once again as she was thrilled that her husband had changed his mind and would be supportive of Kyoka and Izuku.
Too distracted from this, she accidentally bumped into someone.
"Oh, I'm terribly sorry, I wasn't paying any attention." Mika apologized.
"No, it's my fault, I should've been watching where I was going." The woman said.
As Mika helped the woman pick up her belongings, she noticed something familiar about her.
"It couldn't be." Mika thought.
As they both stood up, Mika held out her hand.
"Sorry again, I'm Mika Jiro." Mika introduced herself.
"It's nice to meet you, I'm Inko Midoriya." Inko said.
"I was right!" Mika thought.
As Inko shook her hand, Mika knew this would be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
