- All Hallows' Tales -

Ah, Halloween... If it isn't that time of year where people like to dress up as furries and such while I hide out the month inside my high-sceuity underground bunker. Anyway, it is also that time of year where the Velusons also celebrate the annual holiday, and even had their own costumes to boot. Though, not everyone is into the Halloween spirit (aside from me) and Erma is one of them. Normally, Erma would be celebrating it alongside her family but recently, she wasn't in the mood and no one knows why. Maybe it's because she gotten old for it; maybe it's because she doesn't find it interesting. Or maybe it's because she's too busy playing video games for her MorphTube channel. If you guess the last option, then congratulations! You get... something.

Anyway, inside her room, Erma was playing a roughly twenty-year old Virtual Drive game called, "Presence: House of Yore." The premise is simple, just hunt down ghosts, collect treasures, and defeat bosses to get into the next area, all the while trying to find out the mysterious of this once lively mansion. Erma was enjoying it so far, despite being on area 4. Generally speaking, the game starts out easy then get progressing a bit more challenging until the halfway point as the game completely expects you to know everything and just throw everything at you to no end. She would play this game annually and it has kinda become a tradition on the channel for her to play all of what the series has to offer during the month of October.

Also in her room was Nyxie, a housemaid and Erma's friend (and possibly twin sister), hiding underneath a red cloak like a coward. Unlike everyone, she, as well as Sakura, are the only ones who does not like this time of year at all. Being the naive and easily scared child she is, Nyxie doesn't like the thought of people wearing potential scary costumes walking around at night. At one point, Nyxie has called Halloween the "Day of the Dancing Devils," which has tick some of the sisters off a bit.

However, she was still pressured by a certain Sylveon to wear a costume of sort and opted to just wear a red shirt, a red skirt, a pair of red boots, and a red cape with a red hood. To say she was not happy would be a small understatement.

"Is it over?" She ask, slightly whimpering.

"Not even close, Nyx," Erma reply with a stoic look on her face.

"Ugh. Why couldn't this month go fast enough?"

"Beats me. Say, Nyx. Just wondering, do you remember like your parents?" Erma ask, to which Nyxie recoiled in response. Despite it being months since the plane crash, Nyxie has yet to recover most of her memories. Sure she remembers some of the things she did with her mother but as for everything else, including what she even looked like, she can't remember a thing. Needless to say, Nyxie look down with a sad look on her face.

"Not really. Do you remember yours?" Nyxie ask in return, which Erma recoils not too different than Nyxie's earlier. As she regain her composure, Erma paused the game and turn to her friend, Nyxie.

"Well, not exactly. I never found out what happened to my mom or dad but I learned that it doesn't matter if we're related by blood or not. Mavis took care of me since birth and the closest thing I had to a family for a long time. Sure, we rarely sees each other until recently and I am now part of a family but she's like a mother to me. Heck, she might as well as actually be my mother and it wouldn't make a different."

"Aww, how very wholesome of you two," Nyxie commented. She doesn't really know much about Mavis other than the basics that she gave Anastasia the papers to adopt Erma five years ago during the winter. Nyxie also was too scared to talk to Mavis due her being a human and whatnot, so that prevented her from learning more about Erma's surrogate mother. Erma was well-aware of this and wanted to tell Nyxie more about her but Nyxie wanted to get her info from Mavis herself. Well, that and the two don't have enough time together with the former's MorphTube channel and the latter's housekeeping duties. Soon, Erma decides that she was going to postponed the video until tomorrow. Sure it may invoke the fury of her fanbase but if it's to help out a friend in need, then so be it.

"Okay, Nyx. Ready to see Mavis?" Erma ask as she got up from her chair.

Nyxie perked up with keen interest, but still unsure. "Umm, okay?" She said with a nervous tone.

"Then let's go," Erma then pulled Nyxie out of their bed and took her around the mansion to look for Mavis. Eventually, they were able to spot her in the living room, along with Erma's sisters. Sakura and Anastasia are nowhere to be seen, though that's a given. Someone has to give candies to the treaters after all.

"Hey, Erma. How's going?" Mavis greeted. Much like everyone else, she was wearing a costume as well. Mavis was wearing a black and navy blue, high-collared halter top, a black corset with two pairs of white laces, black shorts, white bell-sleeves, black stockings, a pair of silver boots.

"Good. You?"

"Same. So, what brings you here? I thought you were off recording some videos?"

"I was but my friend Nyxie here wanted to ask you something."

"Oh, then what is it?"

"Well, I just... I just wanted to ask-" Before Nyxie could replied, the lights in the room suddenly went out. Immediately, she cower behind Erma, who merely rolls her eyes. A few moments, Anastasia and Sakura went into the room. While Anastasia was wearing a Galarian nurse costume, Sakura did not wear anything special.

"So, we may or may not be experiencing a power outage at the moment," Anastasia chuckles.

"Are you kidding me? Again? Goddamnit those people must be really trying hard to poke the Beedrill's nest," Kate groaned.

"I know, right," Cora said in agreement with her common enemy.

"Well, since we're going to be in the dark for a while," Velvet grinned as she grab a nearby flashlight. She then turn it on and pointed it to herself. "Who's ready to hear a scary story of mine?"

Not even seconds after she heard it, Nyxie immediately darted to the door to get out but Velvet uses her telekinetic powers to block the exit much to Nyxie's anxiety.

"Leaving so soon? We've barely just begun," Velvet said. Nyxie silently sit down, still scared. "Anyway, let's get started, shall we?"

They ran back to the palace but public knew too much. They walk to the palace and burn it to the ground. And then-

"Boring," Vivi groans, interrupting the story.

"Excuse me, Vivian... You do not interrupt the storyteller. Ever," Velvet glared daggers at the Eevee sister.

"Well sorry but it feels rather predictable. How about you give me a try?"

"Ugh, fine. Just don't make it all about you," Velvet then hands Vivi the flashlight, who merely rolls her eyes.

"Good... Now, let's get started."

- Ave's Enhancements -

It was a calm yet windy morning in the old countryside of eastern Europe. Deep within a medieval castle, a young blond-haired Eevee women named Otta in a white lab coat was working on an gadget of sorts. It was to be a special amulet that would allow the wearer to change between all eighteen Eeveelutions without the hassle of permeant evolution. She was praying that this would not be yet another failure. After finishing the final touches, she put on the amulet. She evolved into a Flareon for a short time before reverting back into an Eevee.

"Perfect," she smiled. She then put down the amulet on her desk, still smiling at her success. She walked out of her lad to tend to the castle's needs. Moments later, an even young Eevee enter the lab. She was only there to clean up after the other ladies refuse to set foot here after last week's incident, forcing Ave to clean up the dusty lab.

"Ugh. And this is what I get for letting Edahs kidnapped me for the twelfth time this month," Ave groans as she began cleaning. Once she got to the desk, the amulet caught her attention. She look interested in it but was told by Lord Hese to not touch a single object that belongs to Otta. However, her curiosity got the better of her and she took it and hide within her personal.

After cleaning up the place, she walk out of the lab to go into the courtyard. There, she saw some of the locals roaming around the place, as well as the guards. She walk behind a tree and used the amulet to transform into a Sylveon. She walk over to a middle-aged male Lucario, wearing what was the standard clothing at the time.

"Hi there, beauty. You're new here?" He ask, somewhere confused.

"Well, I guess you could say that," she cooed.

"So, wanna date tonight?" He ask. The young Sylveon nodded. "Good, see you at the pub!" He then left the courtyard and went into the small village.

For the next hour or so, Ave was spending most of her time transforming into various Eeveelutions to woo the men of the village. When Lord Hese caught wind of this activity, she demanded that the perpetrator be captured and burn at the stake. Of course, no one knew exactly what she look like s she've never shown her real face. Ave has spent so much time transforming that she has slowly forgotten about what she look like. And this forgetfulness would conclude into the following days as she travel from village to village, seducing men as she go along. Soon, the lords of these thirteen villages have had enough of the Transforming Temptress and formed the Roundtable to find the criminal and destroy the source of their powers.

One day, Ave was at the plaza of a village that she has visited several times before. Currently, Ave was a Yureon, trying to seduce the opposing Lycanroc for his money. But then, the thirteen lords decked out in knightly armors arrive at the village's plaza and demanded for the temptress's arrival. Ave quickly flee the plaza and try to escape into the nearby forest but tripped and fell into an old well, dropping the amulet onto the side. She came face to face with her reflection and could not believe her eyes. She hardly recognize this person that she was seeing and try to remember who it was, but to avail. The knights then walk into the well and saw the amulet next to it. They deduce that they have found the temptress.

"And that's the story, folks," Vivi hastily concluded the story.

"Vivian, you just made it all about you," Velvet glares at the Eevee sister once again, pouting.

"So what, at least it's better than your borefest of story."

"Ugh, whatever. Who wanna be next?"

"O-Oh, how about me?" Sylvia said as she jumped up and down.

"Okay. Just don't make it like Vivi's," Velvet said as Vivi roll her eyes with her back turn.

"Good. Now, who's ready for a taste of-"

- The Curse of the Candygirl -

On one cold Halloween night, there was a human girl who was just ready to go trick-or-treating by herself. Well, she was suppose to go with her older sister, but she decided that having "fun" with a jerk would be more fun so yeah. Anyway, this girl was named Melissa and she was ready to eat some candies. As she look around for the first house to knock on, she comes across a decrepit Victorian-style manor.

"Oh, this oughta be fun," Mel said as she climbed over the front gate and walk over to the front door. She knock on it and waited, but no one came. She knock on it again and waited, but no one came. Then, she knock on it a third time and when no one came, she decide to open the door and see for herself. Inside in the grand foyer, there was no one. Annoyed, she look around the empty hallways for anyone. But still, there was no sign of life inside this manor. Sometime later, she has finally given up and was about to leave when she heard something drop.

"Huh? Who's there?" She ask, though no one answer. Annoyed, Mel followed to where she heard the noise and found a room on a hallway she sworn she could've pass by but didn't questioned it. She open the door and gasp with glee. There was candies of all types everywhere. From chocolate to strawberry-flavored, it was all she could ever ask for. So rather than getting enough candy and then leaving, she decides to lock herself and eat as much as she before she pass out.

As she fall asleep, she expected to wake up like nothing would happen but boy was she wrong. Unknown to her, a Gourgeist spirit was watching her and to say they were not happy with her eating their candies would be an understatement. As Mel sleeps, the Gourgeist possesses the human girl right as the moonlight shines upon her body. Though she wasn't awake, Mel could feel something inside her was changing. Soon, her stomach and head were beginning to ached. Her arms soon disintegrate into nothingness as her hair grew into orange hand-like appendages. Her stomach was now turning into a cartoonish pumpkin and before long, the transformation would be completed. The Gourgeist look at her transformed stolen body and smiled as Mel screams inside.

"Sorry, brat but this body's mine now," she chuckled at Mel continue to screams for help inside but to no avail.

"So, what do you thinks?" Sylvia ask her sisters.

"Well, at least it's simple unlike the convoluted mess that is Vivian's story," Cora admitted while Kate nodded in agreement.

"Oh come now, it's not that bad!"

"Are you joking? Like, where the bloody hell did her desire for seducing everyone came from?" Kate argue.

"Well, maybe if you listened enough then maybe-"

"Does this always happen with your sisters?" Nyxie whispers over to Erma's ear. "Yeah but you get used to it," she whispers in return.

"But doesn't that bother you like a bit? Like, it's like they're total stranger to each other," Nyxie argued.

"Not really. Sure, we may bicker a lot but hey, we're still sisters at the end of the day and don't really mean what we say-"

"What do you mean you made it at the whim of a finger?" Kate shouted at Vivi. "That is literally the same setup as the Wooman, a story with thought and effort. All you did is that make yourself the main character!"

"Well, most of the time," Erma admitted.

"Enough!" Velvet shouted, who was tired of all the bickering between Kate, Cora and Vivi. "All I just want is for us to share stories with each other without fighting for once. Is that too hard to ask?"

"It depends," Phrona said, who had remained silently.

"Care to take a turn?" Velvet said.

"Not really interested in one. Sorry," The Umbreon sister admitted.

"U-Um, how about me?" Belle stuttered as she raised her hand like a preschooler.

"Are you sure, Belle? You're not exactly the type to tell a story."

"Yeah, it should be m-" Kate shouted before Cora covered her triplet's mouth.

"Now now, Katherine. Let's give Isabella a try. Who knows, maybe she'll be good at it," Cora told Kate as she snares with contempt for the Jolteon sister, who slowly breathes in and out.

"Okay, here goes nothing," she told herself as she began to tell them her story.

- Heart-Break: A Horror Story -

Once upon a time, there were two girls walking at the beach with each other. One of them was a Manectric named Jenny while the other was an Goodra named Bailey. Jenny secretly love Bailey. When the sun sets upon the horizon, she wants to confess her feelings and hope that Bailey who do the same in return. Soon the sun sets and Jenny proclaim her love to Bailey but Bailey did not return the love; instead she ran away and didn't look back. Being the insecure wreck she was, Jenny couldn't help but wonder if the problem was herself for not running after Bailey when she had the chance or for probably wording her love in a certain way. Whether the case, she depressingly went back to her house and was never again.

And on that day forward, whenever Bailey would walk at the beach, she could hear her friend's confession in the winds. For most of the time, Bailey felt miserable and wanted to get Jenny back. In actually, she too had feelings for Jenny but was scared of the public that she ran away. She went over to her friend's grave and grieve for hours on end. Once it was over, she return to her house and lived her life. But then, on the anniversary of her friend's supposed death, Jenny unexpectedly returns and the two chatted up about what has happened since the last time they have seen each other. This time, Bailey decided to make the move and consist her love to Jenny, who accepts it wholeheartedly. Once it was done, Jenny left the house leaving Bailey content with fixing their relationship. The next day, she found out that Jenny's grave has mysteriously disappears, leading to wonder about her encounter with her supposed deceased friend only for someone to surprised her.

"The End," Belle said as she she finishes. The rest of the sisters stare blankly at her.

"Um, Jen- I mean, Belle. You do realize that that wasn't exactly a horror story, right?" Sakura said.

"I-I know. It's just that I-I just- Well, it's kinda personal," Belle said as she looked away from the peering eyes of her sisters.

"O-Okay, anyone got more stories?" Velvet ask as she wave her flashlight around. "Anyone?" Just then, the lights finally turn back down, much to Nyxie's relief.

"Oh, thank goodness. I thought I was going to faint," she sighs.

"But nothing really scary happened in any of them. Vivi's story was about not!her trying to get guys to like her before the authorities stop her; Sylvia's story was able a candy-obsessed girl getting possessed and turned into a Gourgeist, and Belle's story was about a girl getting haunted by supposed ghost of a love one," Erma noted.

"Then what about my story?" Velvet ask.

"Um, Velvet. You've told that story like eight times in the past. Heck, you might as well write a book about it."

"But it's so good. Like, when the twins and the mod have to team up against Minister Pious and his legion of home and and then they make big sacrifice at the-"

"We get it, Velvet," Cora interrupted. "You're a good storyteller. Like Erma said, you'll probably be better off writing stories and not risking your life trespassing everywhere."

"So, what now?" Samantha ask.

After the huge Halloween party (nothing interesting happened here), the girls went back to their bedrooms to sleep for the night. Erma and Nyxie were in their sleepwear in their room when Erma look over her Virtual Drive console. She wanted to finish it but then realize that it wouldn't hurt to finish it next week. Then, Mavis walk into room.

"Sorry for interrupting but if I remember correctly, I was supposed to answer one of your questions, right?"

"Correct," Erma said.

"So, I've been wondering but why is Erma your daughter? You two look nothing alike."

"Well, it's a long short but to put it simply, Erma is my daughter because someone has to care for her. Sure, we may look alike and yes, Anastasia did adopted her before I did, but if there's tone thing I've learn is that you don't really have to related by blood to be part of a family. Heck, look at what happened between me and my parents."

"What happened?" Nyxie ask, but gave Erma a conflicted look on her face.

"I-I rather not talk about it," Mavis said as she look way for a brief moment. "Well, anyway. Goodnight, you two precious angels," Mavis said as she leave the room.

"'Nigh, Mavis," Erma and Nyxie said as they both went into the bed and turn off the light.

After saying goodnight to each other and falling asleep, Sakura then slowly enters the room and look at the two girls. She looked at Erma first and smiled. She gave the shiny Eevee girl a kiss on the forehead, Goodnight, my little angel. Then she look at Nyxie and scowl at the sight of her. Out of nowhere, Nyxie began to shivers and Sakura notices that she was not tucked in probably. Without realizing it, Sakura carefully tuck Nyxie in as to not wake her up and gave her a small kiss on the forehead, though less affectionate then she did to Erma's and the left the room before the two could realize it.

Author's Note: Okay, so I'll be honest and say that I was never a huge fan of Halloween. In fact, I actually hated this time of month, with all the scary music blasting from the neighbor and the unnerving decoration. Sure, they may have been died down in recent years (the last two having nothing of the sorts), but I still don't like it that much. It just feels overrated in my honest opinion. Guess that's why I decided to share my hatred and fear of Halloween with Nyxie and Sakura. Anyway, sorry for the length of the story. I had to do it all on a time-crunch before the end of Halloween so there's that. But in-universe, the story are much more fleshed out and the ones I've told are just a summary more or less. But with that said, Happy Halloween, folks! Here hoping my night would be better than the hell that was my day!

Anyway, let me know your thoughts and opinions down below in the comments. If any of you got any suggestions on future stories, then feel free to do so in the comments down before. Until then, I'll see y'all next time!
